If you're Lebanese or looking to experience authentic Lebanese food, well, it is not quite that. The food in general is ok. Just OK. The chicken Shawarma had too much cinnamon. While I understand why, the taste of cinnamon is overpowering. The grilled Taouk was good and the garlic paste is good enough to go with it. It's not the case though for either the grilled meat, Kafta or the Soujouk which tasted nothing like it, and the sauce that was on it is very weird. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the music was a nice touch. The place was generally clean, even though a bit untidy and crowded with stuff (boxes, furniture,...) If you really miss the food or want a good option, go for the Taouk.

A real highlight – absolutely recommended! The Beirut Restaurant in Cologne completely convinced me! The atmosphere is super nice and immediately invites you to feel good. The service was really, really, really top – attentive, friendly and just perfect all around. The food was really good, fresh and full of flavor. The price-performance ratio is also great here - you get excellent quality at a fair price. For me it's clear: five stars! I'll definitely be back.

The atmosphere of the place is incredible!! loved the photos of Lebanon all over the place. The Beirut has a large selection of vegetarian lebanese dishes, some of which we weren't familiar with despite loving lebanese cuisine. We weren't disappointed to try them out!! The hindbeh especially. The portions were very generous and the taste incredible! We also had falafels which were huge and very tasty, and lebanese lemonade which was amazing. The staff was very busy, but very accomodating. Thank you very much!!

We enjoyed supper for 8 - set menu with great spread of dishes. We only ordered 6 but there was masses left over. Good atmosphere and nice manager who looked after us well. We recommend this place - booking is essential.

Loved the food but not the dessert, the place was pretty crowded. The servers have to squeeze themselves from one table to another. The night we went , it was a set menu but it was delicious, plenty of variety. The staff were friendly and accommodating. My only wish is that I hope in the future they would have some hot Lebanese bread. It would make it perfect! And that they would work on their baklava, it was so dry almost like a biscuit. Their chicken tawook was the best thing.

What an excellent, busy, interesting restaurant. The place was buzzing, and busy, with so many different kinds of people in the room. It is clearly a very popular little restaurant and I would recommend booking. The vegetarian dishes are extremely tasty. Lebanese food is the origin of many popular dishes these days, but these folks make the original. They are busy, efficient and very, very good. Don't expect them to hold you in a long conversation - they're busy! But they are also good-natured. Definitely pay then a visit if you are passing through Cologne!

When I pass through Cologne it has become an obligatory stop, the food is all very good and special, only the prices are a little above average, but it's worth it.

You can easily fill 3 people by ordering the Beirut meze that says for 2 people. When they bring the meze before the main course, the table is already full. It is a shabby place. It is even a little cramped. If you stay for a long time, you will smell like serious food. Edit 26.03.2025: The meze plates for 2 people are still good but the price seems to have increased a bit. The Beirut meze 2 menu is currently around 46 euros per person. It was a bit too much for 2 people.

The waiter was so unfriendly and anti-social. We were guests there with an Arab man. The waiter only spoke to him in Arabic and didn't pay any attention to us and that's an absolute no go. The food is ready on the counter and the waiter continues to chatter instead of getting the food because the door directly to the counter was open to the outside and my food was basically in the middle of the draft and also cold! The atmosphere is extremely small and cramped. So you can't recommend this part to anyone at all! disaster

This is an insider tip in Cologne. Hidden away in Buttergasse, very lively and extremely tasty. The prices are okay and the service is quick and friendly.

A good friend had introduced me to the Lebanese snack bar and I was very impressed by the excellent tasting oriental dishes (which I know very well from my background). So if I was ever in the area, I had to make a detour. I was particularly blown away by the “Laffe Köfte” (lamb meatballs with fries, salad, sauce rolled into thin flatbread), along with hummus, falafel and shawarma. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is very inviting. Service and prices are top. Anyone looking for a change from currywurst, hamburgers and kebabs It's spot on here (and so too). !!!

That's how it has to be. Authentic, delicious, lively, tight. If you like Levantine cuisine, this is the place for you. Sufficient vegetarian very good dishes. But meat lovers also get their money's worth. And nothing beats an interestingly seasoned skewer of meat sizzled on a charcoal grill. Service very attentive, toilets ok. Highly recommended.

We went to their place on Sunday afternoon for lunch. The place is in very close proximity of Dom, cologne station. The food was very delicious, everything was fresh.

The food was absolutely fine, we liked it, but the service left a lot to be desired. The staff was quite attentive, but correct communication was not easy due to the staff's lack of German language skills. Furthermore, card payment was not possible with a separate invoice, was this an accommodation on the part of the restaurant? None! No understanding of it.

It is always an experience to eat here. The food is really authentic and incredibly tasty and, more importantly, of noticeably good quality. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant and the staff are without exception friendly and accommodating. We always enjoy coming here and would love to eat our entire menu every time. Keep it up!

I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at beirut restaurant with my girlfriend, The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with authentic decor that really made us feel home since we’re lebanese.The menu was extensive, offering a variety of traditional Lebanese dishes that taste exactly like in lebanon, also the service was welcoming and fast, we ordered the set menu for 2 people that the waiter recommended for us, it is better to book a reservation because the restaurant is crowded.

Saturday evening reservation for 2 people - we were ignored for 30 minutes, stood as ordered and not picked up (in the truest sense) with about 15 other people waiting in the entrance area half inside, half outside in a chaotic atmosphere. The place was packed and the food smelled very good indeed. We'll never know how it tastes, because after the service ultimately completely lost track of the waiting situation and assigned a table to people with later reservations before us (who of course accepted it against their better judgment, thanks for nothing), we had enough and we left without having accomplished anything. I don't need that much contempt.

Reserved a table and waited outside for an hour. That wasn't my main problem, but the boss who runs everything is simply unfriendly and almost impossible to talk to because he is stressed. A popular restaurant located in an inconspicuous back alley. When I visited at night, it was so crowded that I couldn't get in, so I went back the next day for lunch. The seats were empty, so I was able to enjoy my meal slowly. A steady stream of take-out customers came in, all ordering things that looked like wrap sandwiches made of thin dough. I ordered a dish of fried thin dough stuffed with meat, a salad with lots of tomatoes and parsley, a sweet called baklava, and Lebanese coffee. Guests seated at a table are served a basket of thin pita bread-like food. This very thin pita bread is chewy and has a slightly salty taste. I'm sure it will be delicious if you order meat dishes and wrap them up. The dish, which resembles a deep-fried minced meat wrap, is made by wrapping spiced minced lamb in bread dough and deep-frying it.The dish is reminiscent of a snack that goes well with alcohol when eaten with sour cream for dipping. The tomato and parsley salad has a refreshing taste with a generous squeeze of lemon. It has a refreshing taste because it has a large amount of chopped parsley. I think it goes well with rich meat dishes. Baklava is a pastry made of chopped mixed nuts mixed with honey, wrapped in a thin spring roll-like wrapper, and deep-fried. It's not too sweet, and the nutty flavor stands out. Lebanese coffee is made by boiling finely ground coffee in a special device and pouring it into a small cup. Add the sugar and mix, then let it sit for a few minutes until the fine powder settles out, then drink it gently. I drank it without sugar, but it was completely different from the coffee I usually drink, and the flavor was strong and woody, like tree roots. Is it delicious? When asked, it's hard to describe because it was my first time drinking coffee, but I learned the appeal of a new type of coffee. I think it's better to drink it with sugar. I think it's even better when paired with sweets such as baklava. It was my first time trying Lebanese food, but I would like to try the meat dishes next time as there are many skewered meat dishes and other attractive menu items. Lebanese cuisine and Greek cuisine seem to be popular in Europe.

Food great as always, I've been going here for about 20 years and have celebrated my birthday here twice. The place is a bit old, color in one place or another doesn't take away from the charm and casual clothing is good as long as it stays neat!

We have been there several times and are thrilled every time! You immediately immerse yourself in another world, a very nice atmosphere, everything seems very authentic. The food is always of a high standard and the price/performance is absolutely okay. The grilled chicken skewers were on point and extremely juicy. All side dishes and especially the starters and dips were very tasty. If you want to experience something new and different, this is the place for you. A hidden pearl in the old town!

Here you can really break out of your cosmos and immerse yourself in another country. The quality of the food is good and the food is prepared very well. The food tastes really good!! We asked the waiter if the meat was halal and he said yes. Only later did we see that alcohol was also sold in this restaurant. Food was dry and inedible A grill plate for 25 euros contained a chicken, a lamb skewer and some meat that was not identified. All three skewers were about 15 cm long with a little rice. For 25 euros the size of the portion is a joke. We were still happy about it because the food was inedible. Dry, the lamb had a strange aftertaste.
