The food is ok. Depends on what you order and who is cooking. So sometimes it can be quite good and sometimes it can be rather rancid. In any case, it's not outstanding. The portions are average in size. It's ok if you're not extremely hungry. The service/(un)friendliness is the big drawback: no sense of politeness. No goodbye, even if you say "bye" to the staff with a friendly smile. No "thank you" for a good tip etc...you should eat quickly and then please leave. I don't think some of the positive reviews here are "real". Because they contradict reality. FYI: My rating is based on approx. 12-15 visits to the restaurant. Always due to the fact that it had to be done quickly or that someone else wanted to try it. I'll avoid going there in the future because unfortunately I don't feel comfortable there. But everyone has to know that for themselves.

I waited half an hour for my food and it was forgotten. This is probably mainly due to the very poor service. No hello from 3 people and barely looking at you when ordering leads to people forgetting the orders

Excellent location, it is on a pedestrian street, it is a small but very pleasant space. The food is delicious and the vegetables are crunchy, a delicacy!

Ate a very good Pho for €12. The noodles were great, the meat was super tender and the vegetables were good too.

Everything about this restaurant is outstanding – from the food to the atmosphere. The atmosphere is cozy and conveys the typical flair of Hanoi. The traditional Hanoi Pho in particular is an absolute taste experience. The owners are incredibly warm and attentive. Definitely a must for anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese food!

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance the first time and have now been there three times. The ambience is okay, not super nice, but somehow rustic Thai furnishings and you sit comfortably. But for us it's more important whether the food is good and the service is friendly and both are absolutely available here. I actually always get the dumplings and the fried rice with duck, my husband is a bit more adventurous but we are both always super happy here.

A clean and nice restaurant. The food is really tasty, you don't have to wait long and the prices are quite reasonable. The employees are friendly and always in a good mood, and they are also very quick. The food was brought to us by the cook (or assistant cook). The only thing I didn't like is that there are too few seats, the tables are much too close to each other and you get the feeling of being cramped. You can eavesdrop on the people next door without you wanting to.

Great food, really good prices, large portions. There is also a lot on the menu for vegans. It has become one of my favorite spots in the last few months.

A piece of Ha Noi in Mainz – my absolute favorite restaurant! I go to the Ha Noi PHO restaurant regularly and am impressed every time. The store is modern and at the same time very well maintained, with an authentic Far Eastern style that immediately transports you to Vietnam. It feels like you have found a piece of Ha Noi in the middle of Mainz. What particularly impresses me is the incredible friendliness of the staff. The employees are extremely nice, courteous and always make sure that you feel completely comfortable. You are served immediately and despite the restaurant's popularity, there is hardly any waiting time - no matter how busy it is. The quality of the food is consistently at a very high level. Everything tastes fresh and authentic, and at an extremely fair price. Especially considering how good the service is. I feel so comfortable here that I sometimes even stop by several times a week. You're great, please keep it up! I love your shop and your food! Definitely recommended for anyone who lives in Mainz or is currently in Mainz, an absolute must! My favorite dishes are hot platters and fried flat rice noodles!

Mediocre place to try pho This place is between a fast food point and restaurant. It's a family business. The envrionment is okay, there were too many fly s near me outside, so I went inside. The pho was okay, For 13 euro that's probably okay but I prefer when they serve it with side salad, rather then put everything in the soup themselves.

Sweet ambience and delicious food. In addition, the food was ready surprisingly quickly. So if you don't have much time during your lunch break, this is recommended. Only cash payment possible.

The food is really delicious, especially beef noddle. Vietnamese coffee is also very good. Highly recommend Hanoi Pho to those who love Vietnamese food.

I’m very surprised this is rated as low as it is. I had an amazing time here. The service was quick. The food came out in a decent time. The Pho I thought was amazing. Some of the best Pho I have had in a long time. I’m not sure if the noodles are made every day, but the noodles really stand out. It’s not as thin as other Pho, but I prefer the thicker noodles almost like Ramen. The broth compliments this meal great. I will be coming back here regularly.

The ambience is okay. In some dishes you can notice the cheap ingredients from Asian cuisine. I would say mediocre, there are worse Asians in shopping centers. In the Rheingau itself you can find better authentic cuisine (which has its price)

Went there for the first time and had a salad with prawns an hour after eating I had terrible stomach cramps and had to throw up in the evening. I can't recommend the food 😔

it was good food until after dinner. I had to pack my own food, a bag with a container was handed to me, that was it. Afterwards my food spilled onto my jacket & I had to ask for a new bag somewhere else. Thanks for the nice brown spot on the jacket, it always reminds me of Mainz.

I chose this place because all the other restaurants were full. The staff's attitude wasn't as bad as the reviews said. The atmosphere was definitely nice, but the food was disappointing. The fries were crispy and warm on the outside, but lukewarm on the inside. If it had been really cold, I would have complained to the staff and asked them to change it... I just ate it because it was an ambiguous temperature and not warmed up, but I was disappointed. There were 4 pieces of fried food, but since they were cut in half, there were ultimately 2 pieces. The rice noodles were slightly puffy. The amount of meat was okay, but there were almost no vegetables and the broth wasn't very deep. Fried food is 5 euros, rice noodles are 12 euros... I don't think I'll ever go back.

Great service. Cash only. They even held the outdoor umbrella for us when it got too windy. However, food was not that great. Pho broth did not have any depth, very watery. Noodles used were soggy and soft in another dish. Sauce for the spring rolls was also watered down. Lots of things to choose from though, but the usual fare that you get from Vietnamese restaurants was not good. Probably would not come here again.

Wonderful Asian cuisine. P4 Pho Bo (beef noodle soup) is particularly recommended. Very nice atmosphere. Reservation is recommended as some days are very busy.

The food is good. The ambience is a bit shabby and obstructed. Batteries for drilling machines are being charged under the benches and doors are only half closed. The staff comes across as very overwhelmed.

Food tastes very good. Prices are not increased, the portions are large and very little to no glutamate.

The two of us went to Hanoi Pho. We had a large chicken spring roll, duck in spicy coconut sauce, a hot platter of beef, chicken and prawns and baked bananas for dessert. I liked the duck best, followed by the spring roll. The shrimp were a bit sparse and small, but the bananas were rich and tasty. The prices are reasonable and the food came quickly. The two chairs at the entrance on the left needed to be replaced, the toilet was clean. If it's warmer, you can also sit outside, directly on Neubrunnenplatz. It was a lovely evening, we will definitely come again.

Really nice small restaurant with cheerful lady employees! My first time eating Asian food was here and it was absolutely worth it! Highly recommend and don't forget to ask for chopsticks 🥢 to get the authentic taste!!

Chic little restaurant, with good food and nice ambience.

For lunch it should be some fried noodles with chicken. Current price 8.00 EUR. I would have expected Mie noodles with a portion of chicken and vegetables. Spaghetti came broken 2-3 times with a very manageable portion of chicken, less than 100g raw weight. The chicken had either been heated/pre-fried several times or had been refrigerated for a long time. In terms of smell, it's not a big deal. There are actually no vegetables, just a hint of spring onions, otherwise none. A little “crunch” over the noodles when served. I would say it was dried onions. Price-performance ratio is absolutely not consistent, the taste is an “oath of revelation”. It's a shame actually. There's plenty of room for improvement. Restaurant is a bit overloaded with Asian furnishings. Service works well. There are much better Asian restaurants in the area. Overall 2 good stars

Best shop in Mainz. Extremely delicious Vietnamese and really nicely decorated inside, super cozy. The Pho is perfect!

If you like kitsch and sensory overload, this is the place for you. For us, such a facility is more of a reason to run away than to stop in. The meal consists of a search for rare vegetables even though they are supposed to be included in the dish and the whole experience feels like a snack bar instead of real Vietnamese restaurant flair. The prices are too high for that.

Der Service ist aufmerksam, freundlich und entgegenkommend. Insgesamt ein sehr empfehlenswerter Ort für Liebhaber der vietnamesischen Küche. Besonders gut gefällt mir außerdem die Inneneinrichtung des Restaurants.

Ein sehr gemütliches und schönes Ambiente mit freundlicher Bedienung. Eines der wenigen Restaurants in Mainz, das noch eine Reservierung für eine große Gruppe angenommen hat trotz Heimspiel und Weihnachtsmarkt direkt vor der Tür. Sehr zu empfehlen.

I love their pho! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I would love to come back for more. The only thing we weren't appreciative of was the cash-only policy. Hopefully, they will accept credit cards in the future!

The Bún Bo Nam Bo was not an authentic Vietnames taste but still very delicious. The crispy fried chicken is the most crunchy and delicious crispy chicken we have ever tried in any Asian restaurant. The drinks were very good too. The price is unbeatable for the quality of food. Drinks can be cheaper though. All the waiters when we were there were super friendly and fast. Drinks and food came fast too. We don't really understand the reviews about bad service. Perhaps we were more lucky to have nice staffs today. The decoration and vibe is cute and cozy and very Vietnamese.

Essen und Atmosphäre in Ordnung, für meinen Geschmack könnte in den gebratenen Reis etwas mehr Ei - ansonsten passt das aber schon. Uns wurde versehentlich eine Vorspeisensuppe vorbeigebracht, die wir dann so hingenommen und probiert hatten. Auf einmal kommt der Kellner, meint nur ganz kurz angebunden und vor allem unfreundlich, die sei ja nicht für uns und nimmt sie einfach mit. Keine Entschuldigung, gar nichts. Das war unangebracht und seltsam.

When we came in the restaurant , we did not order any drinks at first , the staff was really loud and wasn’t really friendly . When we ordered ,we also ordered drinks and some side dishes . I think they were happy and started becoming more friendly when we order more .The food was super good , but I saw a dead fly in my pho Bo . The atmosphere is okay , but it’s a little small in my opinion .Also the bathroom is surprising clean .I don’t really recommend this place ,unless you can handle some service where it’s not really good and some mistakes sometime . We had a harder time because we barely know German .Not really worth it .

Wir waren am Samstag nach dem Stadtbummel dort essen. Sehr nette Bedienung . Essen kam schnell und wir waren wirklich überrascht . Toll angerichtet und super lecker . Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich . Preis Leistung passt 👍 Ist sehr zu empfehlen .

The Pho was great, and there was an extremely tasty, seemingly homemade hot sauce on the table. The meal was very affordable for the amount and quality we got, paying under 20 euros per person with multiple drinks and an appetizer. The service was great, as long as you don't expect American-style service that'll bend over backwards for you.

Das Essen war wirklich hervorragend. Die Portionen ordentlich und das Personal überaus freundlich. Leider dauern Getränke Bestellungen sehr lange und auch das Licht ist meiner Meinung nach zu dunkel. Dafür den Stern Abzug. Dagegen würde das Essen von mir 5 Sterne bekommen. Sehr lecker.

Prinzipiell könnte es wirklich gut sein, die heissen Platten schmecken sehr gut. Leider ist immer zu wenig Sauce vorhanden und extra 2 Euro dafür zu bezahlen ist für mich nicht drin. Somit sind die Curries nicht so gut, wie sie sein könnten. Um die Ecke ist es besser.

Perfektes vietnamesischen Restaurant. Nette junge Frau am Service. Super und leckeres Essen. Muss man besucht haben. Steht auf der Liste wenn wir wieder in Mainz sind.
