We had roast goose breast at our Christmas party yesterday. Delicious as always!

Typical Lower Saxon hospitality 😉. The kale was tough, the smoked pork loin watery, the sausage good. No seconds were offered, and the fried potatoes were limp and had been kept warm. The waitress, however, was very nice and quick.

The food was delicious, and the service was friendly. The restaurant was quiet. In some other places, you have to talk loudly with your companions because otherwise the other person can't hear anything. That was absolutely not the case here.

They served really good home-style cooking: roulades with red cabbage and dumplings, as well as pickled pork in aspic with fried potatoes. The food was fantastic – even the aroma told us we were in the right place! Everything was beautifully presented and simply tasted amazing. The food was delicious, and the owner entertained the guests with his warm charm and playful wit. My two companions at table 3, who were enjoying the Palatinate specialties, were very pleased. The three of us returned to the hotel full and content. It was a lovely place for a family get-together.

We were hoping for a good restaurant where we could eat often. We were there with three children who don't see each other every day and who were a bit agitated and therefore a bit loud during the first ten minutes. The dining room was almost completely empty (there were two other guests), and the waitress promptly came over and reprimanded the children very rudely. We would have preferred to get up and leave, but stayed out of politeness (we had ordered our food a minute earlier). Apparently, they noticed that we hadn't taken this reprimand very badly, because now the children were asked almost intrusively if everything was okay. For dessert, there was only one dessert with alcohol, even though we had explicitly reserved the day before with children. The food was okay, but the meat in the roulades was unfortunately a bit dry, and my son's schnitzel was very dry and tasted like a ready-made schnitzel. We probably won't go back here and wouldn't recommend the restaurant to anyone. It's a shame, because we would have liked to come more often since it's just around the corner.

We wanted to have dinner and chose this restaurant. We had a reservation, and the chef personally welcomed us and assigned us a table. I was there with my partner and the local Palatinate resident. He gave us good advice on what to order, and we were not disappointed. I had beef roulade, my girlfriend had schnitzel with mushrooms, and the local Palatinate resident had sauerfleisch (pork) with fried potatoes. It was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The service is good and the service is friendly.

This was our first time eating at this German restaurant. Although it was quite busy and we had to wait a bit longer, it was absolutely worth it. We always enjoy returning to this lovingly run restaurant. Thomas and Ute take great care of their guests' well-being – you immediately feel the family atmosphere that makes this place so special. The menu impresses with down-to-earth, homemade cuisine. We especially recommend the rump steak with roasted potatoes and roasted onions – perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful. The goose with dumplings, red and green cabbage (which we were initially skeptical about – but Thomas won us over) is also an absolute delight. We've always had a wait, which is perfectly acceptable. The prices are absolutely fair and more than justified given the quality of the food. This won't be the last time we visit you, and we're looking forward to the next one. The Steak Eaters🤣

Wir haben für zwei Tage Göttingen besucht.Die Pizzeria Inder Nähe unseres Quartiers machte Urlaub. Passantenauskünfte: Sonst fußläufig weit und breit nichts - außer den Gutenbergterassen. Also hin. Schöner Ort zum draußen speisen. Eine (deutsche) Küche mit sehr guter Qualität und sehr schmackhaft, ob z.B. Matjes, Sauerfleisch oder Curry-Bockwurst. Eine familiäre Atmospäre. Als Weintrinker: der Grauburgunder ist ausgezeichnet. Wir waren so angetan, dass wir den zweiten Abend wieder dort gegessen haben.

Unfortunately, not as good as recommended by friends. You can sit outside, the food is okay at best, and the female waitress is friendly and accommodating. But the "funny" boss is quite tiring and a bit abusive with children (do you want to come into the kitchen? Come into the kitchen with me, I'll get you some gummy bears). Next to the counter in the(!) restaurant, a small table serves as a smoke break spot for the staff. A Fritz Limo bottle, as an ashtray substitute, was already full of cigarette butts shortly after opening at 6 p.m. We probably won't be back.

The service was very good, the owners are very fond of children, and the food was excellent (yes, there was a bit of a wait, but everything was freshly prepared). A play area for children (e.g., a play kitchen) would have been a great addition. Highly recommended.

Be careful that the charming host doesn't put you in a bed of cucumbers. Just a little joke. The food was fantastic and cooked with love. After the last visit I was very disappointed. The waiter (or owner??) is either very touchy or he is offended. Relaxed eating out is something different for me.

I would like to give 5 stars, but unfortunately the waiting time was far too long. The restaurant wasn't fully occupied, but we waited 1:40 hours for our food. But the food was very, very good. The Champions Bruschetta was world class. Definitely worth a visit. Takes time with you.

The restaurant is close to the city center but still very quiet. You can sit outside quite nicely, but the interior is also inviting. If you are traveling by car, you can easily find a free parking space. We had two dishes (roulade and sherry matjes) that were not on the menu but were recommended to us and were very tasty.

Today, following an Instagram/FB post, I spontaneously made a pilgrimage to the limited-edition roulades and, as always, had a warm encounter with Ute and Thomas Amenda. The beef was exceptionally tender and cooked to perfection. When you visit the Gutenberg Terraces, it's like coming home to a part of their living room...

Always a pleasure to eat here. The baked potato with salmon in particular is heavenly, as is the beer. And the straw pork schnitzel with fried potatoes is also a poem. The service is great, the owners are really friendly and always up for a chat :)

Unfortunately the salmon was still icy cold in the middle and I had a disgust that completely ruined my visit. The waiter said this happened before and failed to apologize properly. Raw, previously frozen fish is an absolute NO-GO and simply must not happen. I won't go there again and can't recommend the place.

Absolute recommendation! I was here with my department in mid-December for a Christmas party. The food was super tasty and the service was very nice and quick! We were there on New Year's Eve at a suitably decorated table. Even as strangers, you immediately feel comfortable in this relaxed but stylish atmosphere. The food was very tasty and freshly prepared right up to dessert.

For the first holiday we reserved a table here for 5 adults and 2 children (2 and 4 years old). We had to order the food 2 weeks in advance based on the menu. This is also completely understandable in order to work efficiently and economically in the kitchen. The staff was super friendly, communicative but not intrusive. We didn't pre-order any food for the children, but we were able to spontaneously arrange pasta and fries with the chef. He was very nice with the children and listened to them as they talked about their Christmas presents. The food was outstanding! My beef roulade tasted like "mother's". It was tender, flavorful and the sauce was amazing! If you order vegetable noodles "spicy", you should know that they are really spicy. The rump steak was very good and the salmon also tasted good. There is enough space at the table and it's not as cramped as in some other restaurants. I have to mention one small drawback: there is only one children's chair. In conclusion, it was a lovely evening. Thanks to the team, we will recommend you!

Inconspicuous but absolutely outstanding! We were there for Advent dinner with the family. Super delicious food of good German cuisine and classic seasonal options. Everything is super fresh and prepared with a lot of love. Overall, extremely pleasant and attentive service and the chef himself also comes to the table and wishes you a good appetite. An absolute insider tip, I've lived in Göttingen for a long time and have to admit that I've only eaten here now. The food is really good and I would like to pass on that praise to the chefs. I would also like to emphasize that the host and the waitress know their craft and combine very hospitableness with charm.

“An evening full of enjoyment and humor!” The atmosphere in the restaurant was wonderfully cozy, the team was extremely attentive, and “Thomas” – the host – was simply in a class of his own. His humor and his relaxed manner enriched the evening incredibly without ever becoming unpleasant. Laughing together and enjoying excellent food made the evening perfect. Since I didn't know the restaurant before, I was pleasantly surprised - and it's now definitely on my list to visit again! A place where you simply feel comfortable and receive great hospitality.

I was at one Very busy Saturday evening there. And despite not having a reservation, the landlord was so friendly and was able to serve me and my companions a very tasty goose breast. It was really good. The sauce and side dishes were also great. It was a bit stressful in the evening, but everyone was still served, so good work on your part Staff.
