The building, furnishings, and sanitary facilities are a bit dated, but the food is excellent and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. I'd gladly return.

The three of us went out to dinner yesterday. I ordered roast suckling pig. I sent my food back. The dumpling was mushy. I was told it was the potatoes. The meat was swimming in the sauce. There was a spoon in the plate for the sauce. But honestly, roast pork doesn't have to be swimming in sauce. The only thing I ate was the salad. And that cost me €17.50. The waitress then asked us if it was okay. I said no. They didn't even ask why. She just looked at me strangely. The other two's food was okay. We'll never come back.

We were there for dinner today. My wife ordered lumberjack steak with fried potatoes and salad for €18.90. I also wanted lumberjack steak, but without fried potatoes, instead with fries. Changing the side order would have been charged €1.50. Alternatively, I ordered Cordon Bleu with "fries" for €19.80. Conclusion: The salad had brown spots all over it. My wife's lumberjack steak was partially burnt black on the bottom, while the other end of the piece was still dark pink inside. How the kitchen could manage such a thing is a mystery to me. Now for my Cordon Bleu with "fries." The fries didn't see a single crumb of salt, nor did the meat (although it was very large), but unfortunately, it wasn't seasoned with salt or pepper at all. Everything tasted beyond bland. But, as reported, the prices were beyond salty. The beer garden looks more like a garbage dump or scrap yard. We usually eat at the Greek restaurant Jxxxx, but my wife persuaded me to try the traditional German food. The Grüner Baum used to be a very good restaurant, but now it's a complete flop. We'll go back to the Greek restaurant in the future, as the taste is much better and it's cheaper. ERGO: Never again at the Grüner Baum!!! Even one star is too much!!!

The food tasted good. The so-called fried potatoes were just bathed in hot fat, had no color at all, and were hot but not crispy. I told the employee, who passed it on to the kitchen. They should tell customers it takes longer, as it's freshly cooked!

Yesterday, six of us went to dinner. We reserved a table for 6:00 p.m. There were boards outside the restaurant advertising special dishes. We knew right away what we were ordering. It took a while before we could order drinks, and even longer for them to arrive. We waited again before we could order our meals, only to find out that these specially advertised dishes were unfortunately sold out. After 45 minutes, the food finally arrived: the Treuchtlinger schnitzel was thin as paper, there weren't many fried potatoes, the rump steak was ordered medium-rare and was served well-done, and the green beans lacked any bite. All in all, we were very dissatisfied and would not recommend this place. We won't be back!

A rustic restaurant serving Franconian cuisine. The food is highly recommended, as is the service. The Schäufele (sausage shoulder) was a real highlight. We'd gladly return.

Very, very bad service. Ordered the rump steak and said it should be well-done, please, but it arrives bloody. The waitress then took it back, brought it back to me and it was medium rare again and the fries were simply fried again. As a result, I only received an apology at least 8 times instead of (as is usual in other restaurants where customer friendliness is very important) bringing me a completely new one. Then there was a €10 discount for the steak even though I didn't eat it. Once and never again. Too bad

One of the best restaurants for many years, very good Franconian cuisine. Very nice and trained staff.

As always, super delicious food. "World's Best" Potato Salad. Price and performance ratio is ok. Cozy and nice decor. Service (a young man) still has to practice friendliness. Or maybe he was just having a bad day. We have been there several times and will definitely come back.

Das Cordon Bleu war gut, eine große Portion und schmackhaft. Das Holzfällersteak war eine Zumutung. Das Stück Fleisch war vermutlich das Endstück vom Halsgrad, flachsig und zu lange gebraten. Zugedeckt mit einer großen Portion Zwiebelringe die aber nicht knusprig waren.

The order was: 2x schnitzel with fries And 1x soup Food came quite quickly but where was the soup?????? The schnitzel had been fried black on the bottom so that it tasted burnt and the fries had been fried several times. I've been here many times and have always loved it, but today I was really disappointed. I found it really unfortunate. What I forgot to mention was that my partner wasn't allowed to have the Kinderschnitzel, for what reasons I have no idea, just a normal one🤦🏽‍♂️

Last Sunday we had lunch there with our 2 young kids. Restaurant was not crowded at all, kids have some toys to play till the food been served. The food we have ordered were all good except side salat, salat had little bit weird und unpleasant smell… I don’t know what exactly smell it is…but over all we were happy with our visit and food!

Great atmosphere and very nice people. At the time we visited after visiting the thermal baths (4 p.m.) there were no other restaurants open. Luckily we were there. Gemütliche, traditionelle Gaststätte mit übersichtlicher, jedoch guter Speisekarte. Die Preise sind noch angenehm.

Wir gehen immer dort zum essen, wenn wir in der Nähe sind. Es gibt eine durchgehend warme Küche und wir fühlen uns in der familären Umgebung immer willkommen, das Essen ist frisch zubereitet und sehr gut. Der Service ist herzlich und unkompliziert. Der grüne Baum ist und bleibt hoffentlich noch lange unser Traditionslokal in dieser Gegend.

Sehr gemütlich. Sehr leckeres Essen, schmeckt wie bei Oma/Mama. Die Bedienungen sind ultra auf Zack. Langes warten gibt's da nicht. Gerne komme ich wieder.

Wir waren im Biergarten. Das Essen war sehr gut. Unsere speziellen Wünsche, Spargel mit Lammkotelett, wurden ohne Weiteres erfüllt. Der Spargel war auf den Punkt gegart, die Bedienung war freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit bei der Auswahl der Speisen, das Bier stammt aus örtlichen regionalen Brauereien. Wir waren rund um zufrieden. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war absolut in Ordnung

Biergarten im Hinterhof schön gemacht. Motorradfahrer willkommen! Parken am besten in der Seitenstraße, da Zufahrt abschüssig. Station für Visierreinigung, guter Einfall, so noch nirgends gesehen! Vielleicht weil, ich denke der Besitzer, selber Motorrad fährt. Das Essen war gut und wirklich ausreichend. Preis angemessen. Man sitzt im Biergarten ruhig und ist anscheinend bei Motorradfahrern bekannt.

Wir wurden liebevoll und herzlich empfangen. Das Essen war umwerfend lecker, sogar beide Kinder, Picky Eater (1 & 3) haben ihre Portionen gänzlich aufgenascht. Dabei waren es sehr angepasste Portionen. Frei verwendbare Spiele und sogar eine kleine Überraschung für die Kinder gab es auch. Wir kugeln glücklich aus dem Restaurant. Wir sind dankbar!

We found this delightful restaurant last Summer. We ate outside. The staff were very helpful, as was another customer. When we asked what the local, traditional dish and drink was we were given a mini history lesson. This food and drink was delicious. When we offered our compliments to the chef we were taken inside to meet the lovely lady who cooked our meal. She was delightful then insisted on us being shown the rooms that are decorated in the traditional style. Do yourself a favour and visit this wonderful restaurant, for a meal to remember.

We found this delightful place last Summer. Eating outside, enjoying the help with menu choices from other patrons and the staff made for a memorable experience. We asked to be served the local traditional food and drink. Absolutely delicious. When we said we were Australians and wanted to commend the chef we were invited inside to meet her. All in all, a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Eindeutig bestes Restaurant in Treuchtlingen. Vor allem die Schnitzen waren der Hammer sehr lecker und groß. Auch der Preis war in Ordnung. Leider ist immer so viel los und man bekommt manchmal keinen Platz. Komme gerne wieder :)

Etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Restaurant. Das Essen ist erstklassig. Wir wurden sehr freundlich und schnell bedient. Kommen bestimmt noch einmal wieder vorbei.

Bei herrlichem Wetter nur eine Bedienung, diese völlig planlos. Getränke kamen nach 35 Minuten, das Essen nach 1 Stunde und 10 Minuten Wartezeit und war dann ziemlich versalzen! Hierher kommen wir bestimmt kein zweites Mal!

Zum Geburtstag mit Familie im grünen Baum reserviert. Mit Kind und Kegel auf der Terasse gesessen. Ambiente: Der grüne Baum ist gut gelegen und gut zu erreichen. Die Terasse liegt schln ruhig gelegen. Für kleine Kinder gab es eine Spielecke die auch gerne angenommen wurde. Das Essen: Gut bürgerliche. regionale Küche. Alles war frisch und nett angerichtet. Geschmacklich haben alle Gerichte überzeugt und waren auch gut portioniert. Die Karte ist nicht gross und das ist auch gut so. Der Service. Da kommen wir zu den erschwerten Bedingungen bei 30 Grad mit Mund Nasen Maske und vor allem alleine den ganzen Service so zu stemmen das niemand lange warten musste. Perfekt dazu das man daran gedacht hat die Kinder zuerst das Essen zu reichen Hut ab. Sollten wir wieder nach Treuchtlingen kommen immer gerne wieder...

Tolle Lokalität. Das Gasthaus ist sehr authentisch-urig. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Essen sehr lecker. Was will man mehr?

Obwohl die Gaststube etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist, fehlt ihr nicht der typische Charme. Das Essen ist deftig und es schmeckt ausgezeichnet und frisch zubereitet.

Wegen Corona-Sommerloch etwas zu wenig Personal für die zahlreichen Feiertagsgäste. Aber nett. Essen lecker.

Nur eine Bedienung bei schönem Wetter. Diese war überfordert. In der Küche wurde nur laut geredet oder gestritten. Nicht einmal nach Getränken wurde drinnen gefragt. Wir sind gegangen.

Warum manche das Lokal so schlecht bewerten ist mir schleierhaft. Ich bin durchaus wählerisch und mag nicht alles auch muss man nett sitzen können und der Service muss stimmen. Hier stimmte alles. Ja es ist ein Dorflokal (sorry Treuchtlinger), aber es ist sauber nett, freundlich und sehr lecker. Mit Familie, Freunden und auch geschäftlich kann man hier einkehren, wenn man kein Sternerestaurant braucht.

Im Frankenland sind Gastronomien eben typisch fränkisch. Was haben wir erwartet: einen Biergarten, frisch gezapftes Bier, gutes Essen und freundliche Bedienung. Alles das haben wir gefunden. Und im Vergleich zu anderen im Ort und Umgebung deutlich besser. Wir ließen uns nicht abschrecken vom vernichtenden Kommentar eines Kollegen aus Ulm und gingen trotzdem hin. Wir empfanden den Biergarten angenehm, nicht von drei Seiten verschlossen. Über zwei geparkte Autos könnte man getrost hinwegsehen. Meine Frau hatte als Vegetarierin eine Gemüsegrillplatte, die super war, ich ein Rumpsteak klassisch mit Pommes und Salat. Waren ca 300g, gut getroffener Gargrad. Salat frisch und lecker. Preis am Ende sehr erträglich. Rundum gut. Wir können nichts negatives sagen.

Wir waren auf Empfehlung unserer Pensionswirtin hier und sind fast aus den Schuhen gefallen.... Gemäß der Empfehlung des "Grünen Baum" wollten wir im, "....schönsten Biergärtlein Treuchtlingens..." ein Essen zu uns nehmen. Solch eine Zumutung allerdings hätten wir nicht erwartet: In einem Hinterhof, auf Plastikstühlen, Blick auf Autos, ringsherum Hauswände von Wohnhäusern und Garagen.... Aus einer Durchreiche wurden üppigst mit Pommes Frites, Schnitzeln und was auch immer noch befüllte Riesenteller auf eine improvisierte Ablage herausgereicht. Wir haben uns schnellstmöglich vom Acker gemacht und sehr über die Bewertungen hier auf Tripadvisor geärgert, denn das kann in dieser überwiegend positiven Beurteilung nicht der Ernst tatsächlich hier speisender Gäste gewesen sein.

Wir waren mit einer kleinen Gruppe von Radfahrern zum Nachtessen Grünen Baum. Die Auswahl von angebotenen Speisen und Getränken war sehr gut. Wir haben im Gastgarten einen gemütlichen Platz gefunden. Wir wurden von der netten Bedienung bestens beraten und betreut. Die Speisen waren schmackhaft und frisch zubereitet. Kurz und gut, alle waren mehr als zufrieden.
