I just happened upon this place by chance. Very clean and tidy, modern atmosphere, friendly service. The gyro pita is delicious. But: Even Aristotle knew that tzatziki needs dill! ;) (For those who don't know: Don't take that last sentence too seriously; we Greeks have been arguing about whether to have dill or not since time immemorial. I meant that as a little tease; the tzatziki is delicious even without dill. 😘 But you have to have fun.) I'll be back and have already recommended you to my friends in the hobby room! 🍻

I ordered and picked up food from there for the first time today. Everything was delicious and the price was absolutely reasonable. Other Greek restaurants could learn a thing or two from theirs.

Good portions, fair prices and super friendly. The coleslaw and also the gyros are great.

After a long absence, we ate at Grillhaus Elia again. Upon entering, we were surprised by how much the dining room had shrunk. With so few tables available, it seemed like pure luck to even get a seat. The food, especially the large gyro plate, was, as usual, delicious and reasonably priced. The only downside: Unfortunately, payment is still only possible with cash, which is a bit inconvenient these days.

We ordered shashlik with fries and mayo there today and ate it at home. I can only say, I highly recommend it 👌. We haven't had such a good shashlik in ages. Super tender meat that slides right off the skewer 😁. The fries were very tasty, not too dark and not too light. We'd gladly go back 😊

Was there 2 weeks ago. The food was very tasty and I would describe the price-performance ratio as very good. I wanted to order a simple gyro plate to take away from the store today. Unfortunately it was supposed to take 30 minutes because there were a lot of pre-orders. Therefore only 2 stars for the service. I would have accepted 15 minutes, but 30 minutes is too long. I still have to think about whether I go there again.

It used to be better. Unfortunately there is no longer any seating in the next room.

Das Essen ist super, genauso wie der Service. Die Portion ist reichlich sowohl beim in dining, als auch beim take away. Das Metaxa Gyros ist nur zu empfehlen genauso wie der Grill Teller. Eigentlich alles!

Disastrous service. Orders a gyro plate. When we picked it up, we mentioned that we had ordered a gyro plate, but now it was discussed for a long time that we had ordered a grill plate. Insight is zero. Doesn't matter. Now half of what I ordered was still missing. Always happy to order here, but not anymore from today.

Very tasty and the schnitzels were nice and big and tasty. Service was very good and friendly. I will go there again 👍

Good Greek snack (best on Ickerner Str ;o)

Unfortunately I can only give 5 stars because this restaurant deserves more than 5 stars! I went there for the first time today and I have to admit it exceeded all my expectations. I haven't eaten something so delicious for a long time. The prices are not high so that everyone can have a good meal even with a small budget. Unfortunately I didn't think to take photos but I'll do it next time. My best wishes to the family and thank you again for your kindness and the special meal you created. Had dinner here today. I had a taxi plate, very tasty. Wife had a gyro plate. Very happy again.

This was the second time we got food here and found it very tasty. :) From standard currywurst with fries mayo to gyro plate, souvlaki plate or especially broccoli schnitzel with hollandaise sauce and cheese gratinated 😍, we can recommend everything so far. :).

Were there for the first time. Delicious food at acceptable prices and nice staff. We'd love to come back. Highly recommended.

I ordered a grill plate. Well, the meat tasted good. But the amount of gyros was already underground. There was probably more on a child's plate. The fries were hard and had way too much salt on them. I expected more for the price of €14. All in all very disappointing.

I was actually there purely by chance because I still had time on the way to an appointment. The gyros salad was just the right thing for a small hunger and this decision was spot on. A salad like I haven't had in years. 5 stars for this very good price/performance ratio. Rounded off by friendly staff and a comfortable seat. One indication of the quality was the lively public traffic. Conclusion: really worth a visit even if you have to travel 20 minutes.

Wir waren heute mit der Familie hier zum Essen und was soll ich sagen , es war großartig. Frische Speisen ( ich hatte einen Gyrosteller) , sehr lecker zubereitet und der Chef sowie seine entzückende Frau waren so freundlich zu uns , wir kommen gerne wieder !

Sehr leckeres Essen. Besonders betonen sollte man die Kundenfreundlichkeit, die man vor Ort hat. Werde hier definitiv nochmal öfter vorbeikommen.

Leider z.Zt. Baugeräusche im Hinterbau zu hören. Das Hawaischnitzel hatte etwas zu viel Sauce Hollondaise, die Qualität war aber insgesamt gut, schön scharfe Schnitzelmesser, bequemer Sitz, angenehm kalte Glasfanta, freundliche Inhaber.

Lieblingsgrieche durch und durch. Gyros Pita ist einzigartig dort, Gyros immer super, nie fettig oder nicht richtig durch wie bei anderen. Salate ganz besonders, alles so individuell einzigartig! Weiter so! Immer total freundlich!

Ich fahre regelmäßig vom Siegerland in die alte Heimat. Abendessen bei Elia ist dann eine Pflichtveranstaltung. Dort wird mit Spaß und liebe zum Detail zubereitet und serviert. Fahre schon seit Jahren regelmässig hin und bin noch nie enttäuscht heim gefahren. Sehr empfehlenswert !👍

Super Service, essen wollten wir zum mitnehmen haben… wir hatten angerufen bestellt und gesagt wurde das wir es nach 15 Minuten holen könnten. Gemacht getan essen war super frisch und auch noch heiß als wir zu Hause waren. Schmeckte hervorragend und die Portionen sind für den Preis echt top. Wir werden demnächst wieder bestellen. Ich hatte Gyros überbacken und meine Freundin einen kleinen Gyros Teller. Klare Empfehlung!

**Ein Juwel für Gyros-Liebhaber** Ich kann das Grillhaus Elia' uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Wer auf der Suche nach dem besten Gyros seines Lebens sind, muss hier unbedingt vorbeischauen. Dieser Imbiss hat meine Erwartungen bei weitem übertroffen, und ich hole hier regelmäßig Gyros. Auch andere Gerichte, wie z. B. das Schnitzel Hawaii sind äußerst lecker.

Eine absolute Überraschung und Empfehlung! Bin bundesweit unterwegs, sodass ich vergleichen kann. Aber für die Qualität und Geschmack sucht diese kleine Familienbetrieb Ihresgleichen. Super nette Leute die mit Herz und Seele Ihre Arbeit machen. Und die Preise sind bundesweit absolut im unteren Segment, ich würde freiwillig für alles mehr bezahlen! Bitte unbedingt ausprobieren, wir brauchen mehr von solchen Menschen!

War heute zum 2. Mal da. Currywurst - Pommes. Leute, nie wieder! Die Currywurst lag bestimmt schon den ganzen Tag auf dem Grill, man konnte sie kaum kauen. Die Pommes waren mindestens schon 1 mal aufgewärmt, wenn nicht, sogar 2 mal. So hart, wie die waren.

Bin mit meiner Familie dorthin. Alle waren vom Essen, Service und dem Ambiente ( trotz Verkleinerung ) sehr zufrieden! Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder . 👍🏼😎

Sehr guter und leckerer Gyros Teller. Das Gyros war wirklich sehr gut und überhaupt nicht fettig. Bedienung sehr nett und freundlich. Man kann dort auch sehr gut vor Ort essen, die Atmosphäre ist trotz Imbiss feeling sehr angenehm. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist OK und geht für die Größe der Portion in Ordnung.

Super leckeres Essen, vorallem das Gyros ist total lecker und ohne schwabbligen Fett. Zudem sind sie total freundlich und günstig.

Am liebsten würde ich null Sterne geben. Als wir die Tüte zuhause öffneten kam uns schon ein penetranter Maggi Geruch entgegen. Beim Essen fiel auf, dass die „Metaxa“ Sauce nichts anderes als die Rahmsauce von Maggi ist. Auch die Jägersauce war ein Fixprodukt. Das Essen war übermäßig mit Maggi gewürzt worden. Da gönnt man sich und dem Restaurant in diesen Zeiten mal etwas und dann bekommt man so einen Fraß vorgesetzt. Für das Geld kann ich auch zuhause günstiger kochen.

Bester Grieche in der gesamten Stadt. Das einzige gyros ohne Fett oder sonst irgendeinen Makel. Hier wird Qualität groß geschrieben. Allerdings ist es aufjedenfall anzumerken, dass man nicht mehr vor Ort speisen kann was für mich auf jeden Fall eine deutliche Verschlechterung für den Kunden darstellt. Schade, scheint sich aber auch so zu lohnen ❤️

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Restaurant die Mitarbeiter sind nett und freundlich das Essen ist sehr lecker und man kann sehr bequem und gut in schöner Atmosphäre sitzen.

Das Essen ist ja wirklich sehr lecker. Deshalb haben wir uns auf dem Weg gemacht um dort vor Ort zu Speisen. Wie immer informiere ich mich vorher online, ob das Lokal auch geöffnet hat. Dies war so. Beim betreten sagte man uns sofort, dass man nur die Speisen mitnehmen könnte da die Toiletten gesperrt seien aufgrund von bald geplanter Umbaumaßnahmen. Ich frage mich echt, warum man das nicht auf seiner Website oder Facebook Seite mitteilen kann? Da der Weg bis nach Hause für warm bleibende Speisen zu weit entfernt ist, sind wir wieder gefahren. Desweiteren wurden wir vor geraumer Zeit, auch beim gleichen Lokal, trotz geöffneter Tür wieder hinausgeschickt, da erst in 10 Minuten die Öffnungszeit beginne... Gastfreundlichkeit und Kundenorientiertheit vermisse ich echt. Ob wir nochmal wiederkommen...
