Clean and tidy, would gladly come again

After a while, four of us ate there yesterday. We wanted to try again. It would have been better if we hadn't tried. The quality and taste of the food were barely worth one star. Poorly presented, completely overpriced!!!!! The farmer's skewer for €19.90 was like simple barbecue torches. Very small wooden skewers with tiny pieces of meat, rice, and a small salad. Gyros on a bed of salad—which used to be great—well, okay. The rest of the food wasn't tastefully presented either, not to mention the quality of the food. The service was very good and didn't match the food at all. The price/performance ratio is simply not right anymore. It's a shame, but it will be our last time.

We ate at your restaurant yesterday and were very disappointed. Offering a salad made up of 90% iceberg lettuce in 2025 is probably outdated. Some restaurants are much better positioned. My lamb chops were edible, but nothing more. You can't really go wrong with the fries these days. Unfortunately, my wife's gyro wasn't tasty either—the pieces were too small and tasted like it had been pickled. But we're not the kind of people who always have something to complain about. And there are far too many dishes on the menu. Fewer but better would be a solution. Sorry, but there won't be a second chance. Hans Steer Dortmund

It was like a day on holiday in Greece. Excellent service, a lovely terrace with music, and delicious food. The drinks were ice-cold. Thank you for the lovely evening!

We just ordered, but... The side dish we ordered didn't arrive, and it didn't arrive within the specified time. The liver tasted musty and was inedible for me personally. The lamb was made entirely of fat. The gyro wasn't a revelation, but it was okay. The salad, which came entirely from a can (corn, beans, cabbage), was a disgrace for the price... that's my opinion.

Also habe Essen zum Mitnehmen vorbestellt, Gyros mit Suflaki und Reis. Suzuki und Krautsalat kostet extra. Die Portionen sind für kleine Kinder maximal, der Preis mit ca. 36€ für 2 Personen ist in keinster Weise gerechtfertigt. Geschmacklich weniger als mittelmäßig. Trotz Vorbestellung fast 30min. Wartezeit. Gut dass ich nicht dort gegessen habe...der Speiseraum hat den Charme eines Terminals am Flughafen. Gemütlich ist da aber auch gar nichts.. Insgesamt: Niemals wieder!

It used to be good, but unfortunately it's not anymore. Completely overpriced, the meat of inferior quality. Several people were there yesterday and ordered platters (each designed for four people). Just put a lot of meat on a platter, and that's it. It's not a visual treat. The gyros were too greasy, and the fries and rice were tasteless. The service is good. It's a shame, but we won't be coming back.

The restaurant itself is nice. But the prices are a bit too high for the quality of the food. The gyro is too greasy, in my opinion.

Unfortunately I have to say that Platia has worn off a lot... We arrived and were asked relatively quickly if we would like something to drink. Drink arrived, food ordered, then we had to wait... Others who came after us got their food quicker. Well.... Then we only had 1 drink. There was no response to our raised hand or eye contact. Wait 45... Then we wanted to pay... Wait 20 minutes... It's a shame, we always enjoyed being there but that won't be the case anymore.

The delivery times are incredibly bad. It took almost 2 hours for the food to arrive. The mood is in the basement. Fries dry, meat mediocre, portion rather medium despite the selection being large. Salad, well you can't go wrong except that it felt like it was almost frozen. Small baked potato, too much sour cream. Overall it was too cold for us. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right here.

Platia is always worth a visit 🙂 We visit regularly with the entire family and as a couple and have never been disappointed👏 The dishes and salads are freshly prepared and simply delicious ❗️ The service was very accommodating and always extremely friendly😃 Thanks for that and see you next time⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was there on March 17th at 5 p.m. and ordered a large gyro with fries, two small cokes (0.3 l), a small fries for my daughter (€2.90) and a starter (flatbread with tzatziki). There were just three small strips for the flatbread - and that for €5. The drinks (0.3l cola) cost a total of €6, and at the end there was a bill of €30 on the table. The gyro was also extremely oily and didn't taste convincing. For these prices I would have expected much better quality. Unfortunately, that was my first and last visit there. Price-performance ratio is absolutely not right here!

This restaurant is highly recommended. It tastes good and very nice people work here. The ambience is upscale.

2 schnitzel dishes for approx. 15-16€ per person The amount of schnitzel and fries was very manageable. And very neutral in taste. The price-performance ratio is absolutely not in line. If you raise the prices like that, the quality should also be satisfactory. Unfortunately this wasn't it.

It's been a long time since we've eaten at Platia. Afterwards we knew again why we hadn't been there for so long. The service was completely fine. But the first thing you have to say is, how can a restaurant or snack bar have a huge menu in front of the store with completely different prices? In some cases there were differences of €5 to €10. Then to the food... we have a lot of Greek snack bars in the area that are 10 times better when it comes to food. Bifteki way too dry and without filling? In addition, 3 people each order a plate for over 20€ per person and you don't get more than a dollop of tzatziki (wrongly spelled I know) We each had one drink per head and left €100 because everything costs extra. For the dollop of tzatziki, as we ordered again, we were charged €6. So in the future we will definitely eat somewhere else where it's worth spending €100. Best regards

Unfortunately not very customer oriented. When criticism was appropriate, the response was stroppy. The allergens should be revised.

That was nothing again. Food was cold and an order was forgotten again. Waiting time: Just under 3 hours. It's a good thing that a reliable Greek isn't far away. You can always rely on El Greco!!!

Ambiance is actually good. Beautifully located at Haus Rodenberg. Parking spaces also available in the area. The quality of the food is good, but now comes the big BUT. Portions are rather small and the prices are very high.

Restaurant prices with an absolute chip shop atmosphere. The schnitzel sauce was very bad. Salad presented carelessly, probably cheap salad mix. Never again! Way too expensive for the quality.

We visited this restaurant late in the evening on the eve of German Unity Day. We hadn't reserved a table in advance, but we found space for four people. A friendly, older waiter greeted us with a smile and showed us to our table. About two thirds of the tables were occupied. In some there were only two people sitting, in others there were larger families with up to six people, but there was a quiet and cozy atmosphere in the room. Our drinks were served quickly and our food arrived a short time later. We've been here before and ordered takeaway, but I didn't remember it being so delicious. The meat was juicy, the sauces were fantastic, and the portions were very generous. We couldn't stop eating - it was just incredibly delicious. A big thank you to the chef and the service team for this wonderful dinner. We left the restaurant with great memories and will definitely come back!

Just under €70 (1xZaziki, 2 grill plates, 4 beers). Food nothing special. 08/15 stop. There are definitely better "Greeks". I didn't even know about chicken souvlaki. Go somewhere else soon.

When I visited it was quite crowded and loud, but service took a little longer at the more remote places. The food was delicious, but the prices were a bit high.

The driver came around the corner without seeing me as a cyclist. My reaction wouldn't have gone well...don't look at your cell phone next time...

It was very expensive, meat was over-seasoned, liver was much better from the Greeks, tzatziki were charged extra, I know it differently from all other Greeks. Are there much better alternatives with more humane prices.

The service is an absolute disaster. I asked for “Small Gyros Plate” but I asked him to put the portion on the big plate. “I can’t,” he said. If he can't do that, I asked him to put the salad on a mini plate, not the same plate. He then brought both the salad and the gyro on a mini plate. The food was cold, there was mayonnaise on the salad. It was the worst experience I have ever had in a Greek restaurant. I think they are making fun of the customers.

Wir haben essen zum mitnehmen gehabt. Gyros Pita offen und ein Gyros mit Pommes Zaziki und Zwiebeln. Zuhause angekommen war die Pita recht fettig. Das Gyros Fleisch ist farblich untypisch rötlich gewesen und hat maximal neben dem Gyros Gewürz gelegen. Die Krönung war allerdings wieder eine Preiserhöhung, die nicht auf den ausgehängten Preistafeln vermerkt war. Da wurde mir die Mitnahme Speisekarte gezeigt. Fakt ist Preis und Leistung passt überhaupt nicht mehr zusammen. Wir werden für eine lange Zeit andere Lokalitäten besuchen. Das letzte Mal hatten wir im Mai 2024 Essen geholt. Da war alles echt lecker und auch noch günstiger.

I ordered from Platia today, a simple order of bifteki special and two currywurst fries. So nothing wild. After two hours and two calls, the delivery finally arrived. When the driver asked me whether there were two currywurst fries, I assumed so. The driver quickly left like nothing, I looked into the bag, of course one was missing. Called and explained the problem, which was followed by a short "sorry" message, I'll send the driver immediately. Shortly afterwards I got the call that I hadn't paid for the second one and of course I still have to pay it. After 25 MIN the second currywurst fries finally arrived. The only words were here I am again😂 For me, the service was just terrible and I idiot even gave a tip when I paid for the first time. One thing is certain: order there again, no thanks.

Everything was very good. The order was taken quickly. The food was tasty, the portions were big and it came quickly. The staff is kind and very friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed, pleasant and you interact well with the staff. I also ordered at home. The food arrived quickly and the taste was sublime!

How much do you want to go wrong when ordering through Lieferando? An asparagus schnitzel with rice and a taxi plate without tzatziki and onions were ordered. Not only that my dish had fries on the plate instead of the rice I ordered. No, my friend's food was forgotten. After calling the store they apologized and said it would be delivered quickly. The missing food was delivered relatively quickly. Then, unfortunately, the next disappointment. Tzatziki slapped nicely on the meat, so we had to remove it first and therefore meat had to be thrown away. Unfortunately a bitter disappointment. But what was accommodating was the bottle of Coke that was brought along as an apology when the missing dish was delivered.

Unfortunately a complete disappointment. Unfriendly conditions, food tasteless, never again. There are definitely better alternatives.

Today I tested the farmer's salad and the gyros from Platia in Aplerbeck for the first time. The food was really delicious. The salad was wonderfully fresh and the gyros were super crispy and spicy. I will definitely order from you more often now. Thank you very much!

Very nice atmosphere and super delicious food. The restaurant was well attended and the waitresses were very nice. We felt very comfortable. Will definitely be repeated. It has a wheelchair-accessible entrance and you can park directly in front of the restaurant or opposite in the Rodenbergcenter parking lot
