Selten so gut gegessen. Ehrlicher Service. Einfach top 7 Jahre später, oft da gewesen, gleiches Fazit!

Sehr altes Restaurant mit Gaststätte. Überwiegend von Stammgäste besucht. Fast alles hausgemachte Speisen. Daher sehr empfehlenswert. Preislich alles in Ordnung Großer Biergarten, teilweise mit Überdachung. Sanitäre Anlage alt, aber sauber.

Leider wurden unsere Erwartungen nicht erfüllt. Der Aussenbereich sehr abgenutzte Holzmöbel. Stuhl defekt. Bratkartoffeln waren nicht frisch gemacht und ein Fertigprodukt, das angepriesene argentinische Steak, war auch nicht so herausragend wie in anderen Bewertungen. Das Restaurant dürfte mal renoviert werden. Insbesonders die Toilette.

Ambiente ist echt urig. Das Essen passend rustikal, was keineswegs nachteilig ist. Das Essen ist absolut auf oberstem Niveau und schmeckt hervorragend. Ich hatte den Geillteller mit einem Rumpsteak und Schweinefilet. Es war grandios. Kann ich nur empfehlen

Köstliches Schnitzel, angenehm voll, aber wir haben trotzdem noch einen Tisch bekommen.

Eine der besten Gaststätten Erfahrungen ever! Koteletts direkt im Kamin gebraten von der Lichtgestalt (Grüße an Hoffi gehen raus) am 25 Kilo schweren Grillbesteck, die Bedienung ist sensationell und das Publikum aus dem Ort herzlich und trinkfest. Wir hatten einen fantastischen Abend und nehmen den Geruch von gebratenen Koteletts und spontan entstandenen Trink Freundschaften mit nach Köln. Ich hoffe, dass diese Gaststätte so erhalten bleibt, wie wir sie kennen lernen durften. Mega!

Wir haben hier heute Abend gegessen. Unbeschreiblich gut.Das Essen ist der Hammer , die Bedienung ist der Knaller. Das Grillen über dem Feuer gibt ein besonderes Erlebnis. Wir waren mit Freunden da und haben uns Rundum wohl gefühlt. Dankeschön dafür.

Was für ein kultiges Restaurant. Das Fleisch aus dem Kamin war unglaublich lecker. Die Preise sind unschlagbar... Das Susi überhaupt Gewinn macht bei diesen günstigen Preisen. Einfach Klasse. Perfekt war auch die extrem liebe und engagierte Kellnerin.

The food is excellent and the service is friendly. I recommend reserving a table, as it can get busy even during the week, and the restaurant isn't exactly busy for nothing. So far, they've always found a solution for us without a reservation.

Everything in most reviews is true. From the outside, it looks like: Don't go in. But by all means, take that step! After the delicious food—we had a fantastic steak cooked over the fire—you think: tomorrow again. The service is casual, but super friendly. The prices are really reasonable, and the food... go try it. But make sure you book in advance, because it's full, and rightly so.

We were there with 10 "boys." A tasteful boys' night. It was rustic, hearty, and very tasty. Highly recommended. Excellent value for money. The pork chop, etc., etc., etc., is highly recommended. Everything was delicious. Unfortunately, there wasn't much dessert, but it's not needed after a meal like that. 😉😋

We were looking for a restaurant for dinner. If I hadn't read the reviews, I wouldn't have gone in. It looks really old from the outside. It's also really quaint inside. Almost all the tables were taken. We didn't have a reservation and luckily we still got a seat. The staff served us quickly and friendly. We spent the wait for our food admiring the pictures. The food arrived and was absolutely delicious. The prices were very reasonable. When we paid, I was more than surprised. We were all completely full. We'll definitely come back when we're in the area.

From the outside, I never found the place particularly appealing – it looks more like a simple pub. But that impression is very deceptive! We ate in the fireplace room, and as soon as we walked in, it was clear how much passion goes into the service. Before we even ordered from the waitress, the grill master (chef) himself came to our table. He kindly asked if we would like some chops, as he was just putting fresh ones on the grill – that way we wouldn't have to wait long later. This attention was really great! Shortly afterward, we placed our orders with the very nice waitress. Our drinks arrived in under five minutes – great! We had steak, a side chop, and a neck chop – and what can I say? It was really, really good! Juicy, aromatic, perfectly seasoned. The absolute highlight: The chops are grilled in the fireplace – you can taste it! The restaurant itself is really rustic inside, reminiscent of the past, yet still looks very well-kept. The waitresses are super relaxed and very attentive. In conclusion: From the outside, it's easy to underestimate Hofrogge – but inside, a true culinary experience awaits, with plenty of charm and attention to detail. A definite recommendation!

Alles war super - dann wurde man gefragt ob die Reste eingepackt oder in den Müll sollen … Dann denkt man sich - einpacken ist doch super 👍🏻 endlich mal ein Restaurant was mit denkt anstatt Essen weg zu werfen - Puste Kuchen dann kam der Haus Drache und hat geschnauzt weil man das Essen einpacken lies - sorry dann bietet es mir doch nicht an !!! Und Vorallem bleib sachlich und nicht so asy das jeder im Restaurant das mit bekommt - vielleicht mal überlegen wie man mit Gästen redet - dass selbst das Servicepersonal sich nachher noch entschuldigt für dieses Verhalten

You should think about how you talk about wanting your food packed in a crowded store!!!! I wonder what's worse - getting salad packed or food being thrown away!!!! Above all, you shouldn't offer this to a customer if you then complain about the packaging!!!

We stopped by at 17:40 with two kids for a quick dinner, only to find the restaurant completely empty. Despite this, the staff rudely told us they were fully booked. Extremely unaccommodating and disappointing experience—would not recommend.

Best shop in Cloppenburg. Legendary chops. Grill plate is my favorite.

It's no coincidence that many people are full. Pils in all variations. Food is classic, rustic and delicious. Schnitzel cutlet and much more. The sound is also rustic but in no way disturbing, as we know makes the music. You feel right at home. My tip on the menu. Rump steak on toast with plenty of onions. One of the best I've ever eaten.

The restaurant looks old and shabby from the outside. It's not inviting. But inside it is very cozy. Please come through the back. And the food is great. Really great! Especially the steaks. These are prepared on the fire. Make sure you make a reservation because they are full until Christmas. Recommended!

The grilled pork chops from the fireplace tasted extremely good. There was also plenty of side dish. I ordered fried potatoes with it. The price is also cheap. The only drawback: Since the meat is grilled directly in the fireplace room, there is a bit of an unpleasant smoke (smell) and the outside door was briefly opened a few times. That's not so pleasant when it's cold in winter. Otherwise everything is fine.

Klein restaurant met eenvoudige inrichting, niet echt gezellig. Medewerkers zeer vriendelijk. Maar bovenal grote steak met pepersaus gegeten, een steak zoals een steak moet zijn, heerlijk mals en perfect gebakken. Lekkere salade en prima frietjes. Flesje wijn erbij, water en een snaps en dat alles voor een goede prijs! Aanrader in Cloppenburg!

We were on the way home from our vacation and were able to spontaneously get a table with our child and dog. The food was super tasty and the steak was on point. The team was super nice and friendly, even though it was very busy it was also very quick. From now on, on every trip home from our vacation.

There were 4 of us there today First of all, the so-called service staff really put you under pressure to place the order. Then the identical meal was ordered 4 times. The grill plate rump steak cutlet and pork fillet. We were then asked what kind of chop it should be, neck or stick. Everyone chose necks. But then it came to the table part neck and part stem. When I spoke to the waiter, the only answer I got was that it was all neck. Well, no matter what it was, it was just drowned in sauce. In addition, everything was totally over salted and tasted far too peppery. All in all, unfortunately only a 1.0 and unfortunately not even less. All the good reviews are hard to understand

Unfortunately I cannot agree with the good reputation. Absolute pub atmosphere, dirty windows, unkempt furnishings. The boss is a broom, and the mood among the employees is correspondingly tense. The difference between stick and neck chops doesn't seem to be known - grill restaurant. When we tried to point this out, they said they were neck steaks. The meat was completely seasoned and fried to death. The steak was tough. The mushroom cream sauce was definitely not homemade, and the chanterelles were spoiled and/or unsuccessful. All in all, poor performance and definitely poor quality for the price.

Absoluter Insider! Richtig alt eingesessenes Restaurant, wo jeder genau weiß was er tut! Das merkt mal am Personal, am Lokal und am Essen!

Die Kneipe sieht noch genau so aus wie vor dreißig Jahren, samt Tapeten und Bilder.

Wer es nicht weiß läuft daran vorbei. Auch ist eine vorherige Reservierung zu empfehlen da das Restaurant sehr gut besucht war. Der Service war schnell und zuvorkommend. Auch werden die Koteletts im Kamin in der Gaststätte über offenem Feuer gegrillt. Bleibt zu hoffen dass das von den Grünen Öko Terroristen nicht verboten wird

Auf der Durchreise sind wir an einem Mittwochabend in Cloppenburg gelandet und spontan in dieses Restaurant gegangen. Dass wir mitten in der Woche nur mit Glück einen freien Tisch bekommen haben, hätte uns vorwarnen sollen… Das Essen war sehr gut, reichlich und auf den Punkt gebraten. Dazu sehr aufmerksame, nette Bedienungen - obwohl wir vermutlich die einzigen Gäste waren, die nicht aus Cloppenburg kamen, fühlten wir uns wie zuhause. Dass Einrichtung und Toiletten etwas in die Jahre gekommen wirkten, ist mehr als verzeihlich. Klare Empfehlung!

Wir waren urlaubsbedingt zum ersten Mal in Cloppenburg und hatten nach dem Besuch des Museumsdorfs schlicht und ergreifend Hunger. Via Google ein Restaurant gesucht, welches unserer heutigen Vorliebe gerecht werden würde. So sind wir quasi "blind" bei Hofrogge gelandet. Hier wurden wir gleich sehr freundlich empfangen und nach unserer Reservierung gefragt. Da wir eine solche (natürlich) nicht vorweisen konnten, hat man eine Lösung gesucht und auch gefunden. Das Essen hat unser beider Geschmack voll getroffen, war reichlich und hat unsere Geldbörse kaum belastet. Mit anderen Worten: VOLLTREFFER! Auch unser Hund war gern gesehen - sowas ist heutzutage noch immer nicht selbstverständlich. Wir können nach unserem "ersten Mal" nur eine Empfehlung für dieses Lokal aussprechen. Vermutlich kann es nicht verkehrt sein, hier zuvor zu reservieren. Wer es allerdings spießig mag und es nicht verträgt hier umgehend geduzt zu werden, sollte besser wegbleiben...

Susi und Ferdi muss man kennen lernen. Rustikales Restaurant in dem die Koteletts noch im Kaminofen gegrillt werden. Plätze müssen rechtzeitig gebucht werden.

Ambiente und Speisekarte sind eine kleine Zeitreise in die 80-er Jahre. Das Personal ist offen , herzlich und witzig. Ich habe mich sehr willkommen und gleich als Stammgast gefühlt. Insgesamt einfach nett.

Selten so gut gegessen. Steak auf den Punkt medium gebraten, Kotelett saftig, Schweinefilet zart. Die Soße mit Pilzen ein Traum. Große Portionen. Pommes und Salat dazu und alles für einen guten Preis. Servicekräfte top. Aufmerksam und freundlich.

An einem Mittwochabend rappelvoll, aber ich konnte noch an der Theke Platz nehmen und essen. Service freundlich und schnell, Preise sehr fair und das Essen war absolut top. Ich komme wieder!

Heute war ich mit 17 weiteren Personen im Grillrestaurant Hofrogge. Wir sind sehr freundlich empfangen worden. Getränke wurden schnell serviert und auch die bestellten Speisen kamen zügig. Das Lokal war auch gut besucht. Nach dem Essen ist die Gruppe dann nach draußen in den Biergarten gegangen. Die Damen im Service hatten dort auch gut zu tun, manchmal wohl zu viel, denn bestellte Sachen kamen erst nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen. Trotzdem war es ein schöner Abend und ich kann das Restaurant jedem ans Herz legen, der es rustikal und gutbürgerlich mag!

Preislich Leistungsverhältnis top! Seit über 15 Jahren angemessene Preise. Ambiente dem rustikalen Essen angemessen. Draußen Biergarten und aufmerksamer Sevice.
