We wanted to give the Grill Palast another chance but after our third disappointing visit we have unfortunately called it quits. We always came because the food is so delicious but the service is getting worse and worse. Today everything was thrown away. My husband's meal arrived, and mine only came 15 minutes later. The dishes seemed illogical because mine was prepared more quickly. After the meal we asked for dessert, which came with the meal and got cold. I don't have any cutlery. In the end we wanted the dishes packaged to take away and were given a box and allowed to pack it ourselves. I am shocked and angry. Also sad that things turned out this way because it really was our favorite restaurant!

We used to enjoy this place regularly, but this time we were sadly disappointed. The chicken soup was noticeably waterier than before and contained hardly any meat, and the portions had gotten smaller. We also had the impression that the service was more cordial toward locals than toward other guests. Positive: One server was particularly friendly and attentive.

Went there for the first time today (recommended by a Turkish friend) and were thrilled! The meat, rice, and salad were delicious! Prices were more than fair (doner plate for €9.90). The decor (impressive counter with a traditional charcoal grill) makes the place look like it's in Istanbul—if you don't like that, just stay away. What a disappointment, they came with the wrong schnitzel after 15 minutes we got what we had ordered 1 person did have fries the other one they forgot all staff members were asked how and what but after 10 minutes yes the fries came, no sorry no excuse so for us never again Grillpalst Viersen!!👋

The clock shows approximately 6:00 p.m. And we were lucky and got a good table for dinner. Therefore, this report goes to management. There were a lot of temporary workers there today, which is a shame, and they don't understand a word of German. After repeating my order several times, my food came out wrong three times. My wife ordered a small doner kebab plate. I ordered my dish four times, one Adana with bulgur. My food was returned three times. It's insane. I asked for some feta cheese, please, which I haven't had yet. After a long wait, my food arrived. After a while, I was no longer hungry, so please pack mine to take away. What does the waitress do? She lifts my plate and throws the food into the trash at the table. After a complaint, they give us something new to take away. We pay 30 euros, and they simply laugh at us. I've been eating there since the Grillpalast opened, and unfortunately I have to say that the food and service have deteriorated considerably. Today we had a kebab plate, the meat was boiled rather than fried, and the fries were old. I hope it will be like it was in the beginning.

We have eaten here several times but this time it was honestly terrible, the food arrived very late and after it arrived we had to wait another 20 minutes, there was nothing left to eat, not even ayran, it was just terrible, we will never go there again.

I ate there again today. A really friendly welcome (like a man who shouts into a tree). Air-conditioned and nicely seated inside on comfortable leather seats. The food was once again perfectly grilled and delicious. The waitress was super attentive when I dropped a knife. It took less than three seconds and I had a new one. Now that's what I call attentive. The only downside is the outside. They could do more with that. Still, great staff and quick. All other meat is grilled over charcoal, and you can taste it. I'd go back anytime.

The smell is truly heavenly and makes you want to grill. The ambiance is really good, and the service is also excellent. A very positive thing is that we almost always get bread with sauces, which are super delicious. The rice on site is also really great (I can't recommend it for takeout, as my rice felt like it was swimming in oil. I've only done it once, so I don't know how common it is). The meat is always a problem for me. It tastes really good, and the grilled flavors really come through, but... in one-third of cases, I get meat that's just full of gristle in every other bite, which of course makes the whole thing a bit unpleasant and inedible for me. But that would actually be the only thing I would complain about. Otherwise, if you're in the mood for grilled food or kebabs, you'll definitely find what you're looking for here.

Service was okay, even though it wasn't full, we waited 10 minutes for a drink. For three people, the bill was over €100. At least they could have said tea was on the house, but it was still charged. The menu on site said €27.90 for a Grillpalast plate for two people, but on Instagram it's €10 more expensive. Furthermore, it was too warm inside, even though it wasn't crowded. There was no air conditioning. I don't even know if there's anything like that there.

It's definitely the best in all of Viersen, perhaps even in the Viersen district. It's better than some five-star hotel restaurants. I'm mainly talking about the grill plate. The meat is incredible, the salad is very good, and the bread and dips served beforehand are a great bonus. And all this for a very reasonable price of around €22.00. So it's no wonder that the Grill Palast seems to be fully booked at peak times (and usually is). But that's precisely where the problem lies: the seating at the Grill Palast is rather unusual. You sit relatively close to other people's tables when it's full, and the noise level is very unpleasant, and it's very difficult to understand people sitting diagonally from you. When it's full, the service is also inconsistent. It seems that sometimes people are assigned orders here who aren't actually responsible for them or have any experience with them. — When it's empty, however, the ambiance and service are fine and modern. An even more annoying point is the geographical location: parking is very difficult here. Sometimes you really have to win the lottery to get a place here. This is unfortunately due to the fact that the restaurant is located in the middle of the city center, which, while very smart from a business perspective, is unfortunately not very hospitable. If the ambiance were better, a 5/5 star review would be a given. But unfortunately, that's not the case. Nevertheless, consistently friendly service gets a plus point. This is the number one place to go, but not during peak times or for relaxed evenings or business meetings. There are other restaurants with a much more relaxed atmosphere and service. Nevertheless, we will keep coming back here, because otherwise the restaurant is top-notch!

This is not a simple kebab shop, but more of a grill restaurant. There is also a buffet or you can treat yourself to fresh grilled skewers with different types of meat. We had the small rotating dinner plate with chicken. Sauces, fries, everything was very tasty and even if the chicken was a bit cool (no, not because of the sauce) it was extremely good. Thinly sliced ​​and very crispy. All in all, I can highly recommend the store.

Absolutely disappointing! The waitress – a waitress wearing a headscarf – was extremely unfriendly and seemed to have no interest in welcoming us as guests. Instead of answering our questions politely, she gave us pat, arrogant answers - as if she was doing us a favor by even being there. I have rarely experienced something so unprofessional. There was absolutely no sign of the principle “the customer is king” here. Not only did we feel poorly served, but we were literally dismissed. Definitely the last time we entered this store.

So far I have always been very satisfied with this restaurant, but after my last experience I will not be returning either myself or with my family. I called today to reserve a table for 15 people for Sunday. The lady on the phone told me that we could come at 5:00 p.m. but that we had to leave the restaurant by 7:00 p.m. at the latest. When I asked why this was the case, she explained that although there were no further reservations, many guests were expected on a Sunday. I was very disappointed by this inflexible and unhospitable attitude. I expect more understanding and service from a restaurant. Unfortunately I will avoid this restaurant in the future.

Unfortunately today will be the last time as the service is unfriendly and rude. Because one question is asking too much and you get the comment that they are not a computer and that you should find out better yourself. The food is good, but I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

Best Turkish Restoran in Viersen

There is no problem with the taste, everything is beyond wonderful, but the service is really bad, the service is late, the people serving are really well-intentioned and nice people, they are very friendly, there is nothing they can do.

We were having breakfast. The buffet was sufficiently large and the food was very tasty. Drinks such as coffee, tea and orange juice were included in the price. Service only no one comes to the table to clear away when you have already finished several plates and pay at the front of the counter. I still think the price for an adult at €12.90 is a completely fair price, but for children at €9.90 it is much too high. For children under 12, or under 10 in my opinion, it should only cost half as much. My two kids, 6 and 3, eat more like little birds, so the price was simply too much and unfortunately there was no description anywhere of how much the buffet costs for children. And it was pretty empty. I think because there is not enough advertising for breakfast, no one knows that you can go there in the morning on the weekend.

Great service, great food, we were lucky that we started eating at 6pm. The restaurant was full that Saturday evening, with many people waiting to be seated. I would highly recommend Ufa Kebap.

Unfortunately I had a very bad Lahmacun experience. I didn't taste or see the meat at all... unfortunately they cut corners in all the wrong places. Lahmacun was full of isot (chilli flakes). I didn't even order spicy. Asked the waiter and he said that's standard here. Disaster. No thanks.

More bad than right. Lots of potential for improvement. Bread like rubber and meat just ok. Unfortunately, there was no real effort and attention to detail to be found. The store doesn't look bad. The quality can be better. The good reviews have probably never eaten a very good kebab or have never encountered a very good kebab. Too bad. Can do better.

You had to be a little patient, especially with a full house. Service could be better organized. Overall, a very successful grilling experience where you definitely get your money's worth. I visite theplace woth my partner anf we expected a lot based on the rating. Unfortunately,we were disappointed We waited around 20min just for the drink, and around 1 hour more for the food. People were coming, eating and going home while we just waited... When the food finally came (after we reminded them about our order) it was cold, portions were smaller than described in the menu... There it started: - we waited around 20 minutes to get 1 bottled water and 1 coffee - after reminding them not to forget our order, we finally got our food after in total 1h10min waiting time. Shameful. - portions were cold and smaller than described in the menu, and they looked as if they had been made 2 min before serving. Zero effort. - the order of my partner was half wrong - at least 3 tables more tables around us were complaining too. We have no clue how this place got such a good average grade. We should have refused to pay. We spent around 37€ in total for the food in photos. Judge it yourself if it is worth it.
