A snack bar but best food and friendly service

We've been here several times now and find the food delicious, the service excellent, and the staff very accommodating. We're always happy to come back.

I eat here often, the food and soups are really good. However, this time I ordered kunefe and specifically asked for NO kaymak (clotted cream) on top. The kunefe they brought me was empty, only shredded wheat was cooked, and served hard. I tried to explain the situation, but the gentleman didn't understand me. On top of that, we got into an argument, so I didn't want to take it any further. I paid and left. It used to be a place I used to come once or twice a week, but I won't be coming back. And he says, "It won't be like in Turkey," what does that have to do with it? You're a joke.

Unfortunately, it was a very bad experience. My girlfriend and I had severe gastrointestinal problems after the meal, which continue to this day. Something like that simply shouldn't happen. We definitely won't be coming back.

Yesterday, three of us went to the restaurant. Since then, my girlfriend and I have been struggling with severe gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, and general malaise. We had different dishes, but both experienced the same symptoms, which strongly suggests a food hygiene issue. This definitely shouldn't happen in a restaurant. Unfortunately, the evening was anything but pleasant for us. We hope the restaurant investigates the matter and takes appropriate action.

I recently had breakfast at the Grill Palast in Krefeld and was very satisfied overall. I particularly liked how delicious and well-seasoned the hot dishes, such as scrambled eggs, sucuk, and börek were. The bread was also fresh and crispy. There's enough to fill you up without leaving you feeling like you're missing out. For people looking for a simple but high-quality breakfast, this is just right. The atmosphere at the Grill Palast was pleasant, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They checked regularly to see if anything needed refilling, and the whole process was calm and relaxed. The decor is simple but clean and tidy. All in all, I highly recommend the Grill Palast for an affordable and delicious breakfast. If you want to eat well on a budget, this is the place for you. I'd love to come back!

Delicious kebab and very nice service

Ate here with family today. My wife really enjoyed the lamb platter. I enjoyed the dürum, and my children had the doner kebab mini platter.

The food here is simply unbelievably delicious! The meat is of average quality and has a good flavor. Unfortunately, the portions are much smaller than they used to be, and the prices are significantly higher. Nevertheless, I highly recommend the grill and will continue to be a customer.

I walked in and was immediately greeted and served by a very friendly waiter. I had a veal doner kebab just as it should be: the flatbread was crispy, the meat was juicy, and the vegetables were crisp and fresh. I always enjoy coming back.

I'll just get to the point now... The meat was raw, and the waiter's explanation was "it's because of the seasoning." It's just hilarious. I would really advise you not to go there. There were seven of us, and no one ate more than half because it was simply raw and tasteless. A disaster.

Unfortunately, the doner meat was very poor and the service was slow. The meat wasn't 100% beef/lamb. It had turkey meat mixed in, which was a deception to the customer.

Good breakfast buffet for EUR 9.90 with all sorts of cool and warm dishes, dips and bread. Plus juice and tea. Price-performance ratio is right here. Also with the main courses.

It used to be better. The quality has declined significantly and prices have skyrocketed. It's a shame what happened to the store. Nevertheless, one of the best restaurants in Krefeld.

Eating for the first time was ok, not bad but not good either, it's a matter of taste. The second time the worst thing that could happen was a 5 cm long hair in the food!!! 🤢 that tells me enough about hygiene measures. It was very crowded and I felt like I was being watched from all sides, which is why I didn't want to make a fuss. It was clear to me, never again. There were a lot of staff there but not particularly friendly, more of a non-negligence attitude.

Unfortunately, Grill Palast in Krefeld is no longer recommended due to my personal experience. We drove from Mönchengladbach to Krefeld specifically to eat künefe. Unfortunately, the waiter repeatedly ignored our allergy warnings and even went so far as to be rude because we wanted to talk to someone in charge.

It was my first time there and I was absolutely thrilled.

We ate there very often even though the service was mediocre. Getting dessert (Künefe) is a disaster, we pointed out our daughter's nut allergy several times and it was never taken into account. Every time we waited for free and ended the evening without dessert. Very annoying when the waiter doesn't take you seriously and just shrugs his shoulders. We will only visit the Grill Palast in Viersen.

War vor kurzem zum ersten Mal hier. Das Essen war frisch, lecker und authentisch zubereitet. Besonders das gegrillte Fleisch ist saftig und perfekt gewürzt. Auch die Beilagen und Saucen sind hervorragend und runden das Geschmackserlebnis ab. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Portionen sind großzügig, und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut. Ich komme gerne wieder hierher.

The soup portion is very small. There was very little tripe in the bowl. The wrap batter was cold, not fried, which is bad in my opinion. There was very little kebab in the Adana wrap. The tea region is Far Eastern tea. Sink and toilet clean and well maintained. The interior layout is not very spacious. very tight. The conversations at the next table are audible and disturbing. There are no hangers to hang coats or jackets, which is ridiculous.

We went to the Grillpalast for the first time based on a recommendation. The atmosphere is not a modern restaurant, lots of tables, everything is occupied and very loud, but it is not only a restaurant but also a snack bar with a pick-up service. There were 6 of us there and we all had different things. The food is really really good. The portions are also just right to fill you up. Beforehand there was a greeting from the kitchen with fresh bread and three dips. Waiting time was perfectly fine. Considering that the restaurant was fully booked on a Friday evening. We waited almost 20 minutes for the food, but as I said, that was enough. Chai was on the house, great service. This is not a given everywhere. The service is also great. Quickly friendly and always helpful with the selection of dishes. It was definitely not our last visit. We will come back and try one or two dishes from the charcoal grill. The picture shows the Adana for €13.90.

Bread was burnt and service always takes quite a long time. It smelled like charcoal fumes.

It used to be better! I took a kebab dürüm today and it was very bad, the employee didn't even leave the dürüm on the grill for 5 seconds, so the bread was still cold and not really cooked through! Last time I wasn't particularly happy either! A store is no longer usable and visitable if the employees work according to their whims and deliver poor quality! What a shame!!!

The food is good but the staff some are racists,we got in and got ourselves a table and the staff for over 10 minutes ignored us and attended to the new customers pretending that they has not seen us.It happened the first time and I gave them the bennefit of the doubt but when it happened the next 2 times we went there, that was intentional.The food is good, the place is full of racist staff they should put a sign that some people are not welcomed here.I never went back again

For me, the Grill Palast has the best Turkish food in Krefeld. Grilled meat is very good, stews are great, the soups and pizzas baked in the stone oven are also excellent. The taste and quality really can't be beat. It is a snack bar with very good dishes.

Food was ok. - not a highlight, more average like on every corner. The service is underground. They don't seem to work on a tip basis. You probably don't need it. Bill > 100€ and you don't even get an (additional) sauce for the rather dry meal. “Costs extra.” I was glad we didn't pay for the plastic bag because we wanted to take something with us. - if you don't have to eat there, I would leave it 🤷🏼‍♂️

We bought lahmacun and rice pudding. It is nothing like lahmacun, there is very little minced meat in it. If they weren't ashamed, they would make him smell the minced meat and leave it behind. The consistency of the rice pudding was similar to pasta salad. I have never eaten a thicker rice pudding in my life. You will be presented with a dish that is somewhat similar to what you ordered after seeing its name on the menu.

Psst! Don't tell anyone, but the Mega Grill Plate is the best thing you can have at the Grill Palast. The juicy meat has an intense smoked flavor, and all the juice is absorbed perfectly into the bulgur pilaf - a real culinary delight! shot I come into the store and there's nothing going on at all, 5-6 tables at most and I'm easily the only person waiting for 20-30 minutes and there are seriously two other tables in front of me. At the first table that arrived I said OK, no matter, but at the second one I really didn't feel like it anymore, I mean the waiter says seriously that another check is coming to me, I don't, there was only that one and the second table was also sitting at my table which, funnily enough, I had changed so either the waiter wasn't in the mood for me or the store is rubbish so honestly it wasn't the first time but it was the last time for me

Unfortunately, our waiter was unfriendly and didn't want to serve us any more tea, citing strange reasons and he didn't even thank us for the tip. Unfortunately, it's pretty bad behavior, because that's not how you treat guests. Food wasn't great either. My rice was cold, I got my soup without garlic and spicy even though it was ordered that way and my colleague had a chicken skewer dürüm with so little chicken that he thought he had a salad dürüm. All in all, our experience there was like this 👎

Great mix grill and and Mediterranean sandwiches. However, the customer service is not the best. They lack on English as well as they do not smile that much I don’t know why. But all recommended for food for customer service. They suck. Just be advised, I’m not trying to say that the lack of English is an issue for me. No Google translate and my friends speak German as well was with me, but smile does not require money or language. It’s a human common sense.
