Griechisches Restaurant ATHOS Schönebeck in Schönebeck (Elbe)

Nothing special. Average Greek restaurant. Unfortunately, as is often the case, little attention is paid to an individual guest as groups are given priority and on average they pay less per person! Lettuce, a few green leaves with yogurt dressing without olives, onions, cucumbers... just green. Baked peppers were okay, fillet plates, the 40-50g must introduce the lamb fillet, fries lukewarm. Food is simply placed on the table even if the guest is absent, going to the toilet or smoking. Service was quite taciturn with individual guests. Ask several times for a drink, otherwise always try to get the attention of a waiter. Not once asked if everything was OK or if it tasted good. Overall average and in need of improvement on all levels.

For me this restaurant is the best Greek there is! Super delicious food, the staff was extremely friendly, price performance - top! I'm not a fan of the typical German Greek restaurants, but here I would be proven wrong! We're coming back this weekend just for that ❤️

We were visiting and stopped here for lunch. I'm not the biggest fan of Greek food, but I still really enjoyed it here. The service was friendly, but in my opinion they could have paid a little more attention not to forget certain tables, as that more or less happened with us. There is also the odd ouzo. What should definitely be highlighted positively is the ambience. A really nice house with great furnishings. Prices were ok so far. Recommendation if you are ever in the area.

Hello, well what can I say... excellent as always... You feel like a welcome guest and not like a customer... The whole team, service, chef, etc. do their job excellently. Everyone is always super friendly and has a nice smile. The food is very good and also of high quality. The portions fill you up, or if you can't manage your meal, it's packed. However, I would like to mention one drawback...you have to get a driver or taxi, because the Greeks practice hospitality and ouzo is served before the meal. However, it doesn't stop at one🙈🤣... Please keep it up... Thank you for a nice evening again.

5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We got a table at short notice. And the condition was very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. It was fish and very tasty. The tzatziki is a dream. The Athos potatoes are also highly recommended. When we're in the area again, we'll come back here. A 6⭐️ simply for the large portions and the good prices.

Were in Schönebeck for a few days and relatives took us to you 😍It was a nice evening, even if there were a few problems at the start (forgot the starter and drinks) but the nice service made it up to you 💕

The food was good but it was very busy & you had to wait for over half an hour for the meal. It was a Friday night & I asked to book a table for the Saturday night. They this was impossible. They were more interested in pouring Uso.

This was certainly not our last visit to this excellent house, even before we set up there with 15 people in December, as we had already booked. If we're going to invite guests, please do so in a restaurant that works exactly like Athos! Many thanks to the team!

Nice atmosphere outside. Children's playground in the immediate vicinity and easily visible from many tables. Fast and friendly service.

We were able to spontaneously reserve a table for 7 people, even though it was already very fully booked. The boss greeted us very friendly and I haven't experienced such good service from staff for a long time. The little ones were also happy with the playground right on the beautiful terrace. The food was fantastic, very tasty and good portions. The atmosphere is simply beautiful, we felt extremely comfortable in the garden on this warm summer evening and will 100% come back. A clear recommendation, for us one of the best Greeks in the area. You can sit wonderfully outside. Plenty of ouzo is poured. And in terms of taste, you just can't beat it. Unfortunately there were no croquettes here, but the Cretan potatoes are highly recommended - wonderfully creamy and delicious.

Very nice house 🏠 very nice and fast friendly service. The food was not what we are used to from our Greek. The baked sheep's cheese is not homemade. The beef fillet was great. To the point, the rump steak was also good and medium. The vegetables in the vegetable casserole were very firm to the bite.

Great restaurant! You can easily get a table for two people at short notice, I always go there with my girlfriend and we can't decide what we want to eat because everything tastes so delicious. Everyone is super friendly and happy to help you find a suitable meal time, so it's definitely worth a visit There is a non-alcoholic cocktail Coconat Kiss or something similar that you should try! ☺️

About the food: really generous portions, it tasted great and we were more than full. Ambiance: we were there on a Friday, it was very crowded and very loud, had something of a train station hall, you didn't understand your own words and I wouldn't find that nice with children. Service: Starter served quickly, but immediately afterwards salad, which wasn't even eaten properly, and then the main course was served. So everything happened too quickly one after the other for my taste. We wanted to have it packed up, which was not possible, but after waiting for 1 hour without any new drinks we ate it. Then after half an hour the waiter came and we ordered a drink. Maybe again when it's less crowded, otherwise probably not.

Delicious food in Athos by the swan pond. Reservations are required on Sunday lunchtime as it was quite full. Still good food, sufficient and tasteful. Nice service

Reservations are a mess and have been on hold several times or have been turned away despite reservations. Nice ambience, but very loud when fully occupied, seating very tight. Food good, but nothing special...now mutated into a sure-fire success...

Very popular restaurant with very good food, great service and nice atmosphere. A bit noisy inside, but that's because it's so popular and is therefore always very busy. When the weather is nice there are also plenty of outdoor spaces.

Delicious food. Ordering drinks was very quick. Even though it wasn't very busy we had to wait 40 minutes to place our food order. And only after repeated request. The waitress's response wasn't necessarily friendly.

We were invited to dinner on Friday and there were many friends from far away. We waited over an hour for our food and it was almost cold. And on Saturday evening, those who were far away wanted to go there again for dinner and were greeted by one of them Employees were turned away in a very unfriendly manner because they hadn't registered a table three weeks ago. I said they should go to our Greeks and they got a table without registering, and that was the case. This Greek guy is very unfriendly because he has a lot of friends from very far away Come here and you can probably eat there. There were still tables available outside. We won't be having a party there anymore.

Nice offer, ouzo was served appropriately. Very good value for money, large portions. I love the Athos potatoes and the Metaxa sauce. Unfortunately, our seats for 8 people were not ideal. If someone wanted to go to the toilet, everyone else on the side had to get up first. Our main courses were brought 10-15 minutes after the starter, so hardly anyone made it. But getting it packed up wasn't a problem.

Excellent and sumptuous food with a large selection, fast and extremely friendly service. Even the boss and his wife are always eager to fulfill all of the guests' wishes. Here and there an ouzo is always poured on the house. A fresh salad, again on the house, also shortens the wait for the main course. The location is ideal and invites you to take a digestive walk in the spa park afterwards. Children also get their money's worth. The adjacent playground gives parents a good view (from outside) of their children while they can let off steam after or before eating.
