Griechisches Restaurant Athos in Ueckermünde

We were here on vacation and ordered on the last evening because we didn't want to bother everyone with four furry friends. The food was amazing 😍🫶 Restaurants back home could learn a thing or two from this. Since my girlfriend has a milk protein allergy, we specifically mentioned it, and they made sure it wasn't in her food. I would give it 10 stars; the staff were very polite. Keep up the good work! We'll definitely be back next year 🫶👍🫶

The best Greek restaurant ever. Incredibly cool service. Making a reservation for two people was no problem. We arrived, were warmly greeted, seated, and started with oozo. After an incredibly delicious starter (grilled pepperoni for me and stuffed mushrooms with feta for my wife – and they were truly enormous), we were almost stuffed. A mixed salad was served while we were still eating. We'd barely finished the starter when the main course was served (a Corfu platter with three meats and, for the ladies, a schnitzel with hunter's sauce, each with garlic potatoes on the side). There was so much that we were already stuffed after less than half. But to finish it off, we had oozo. Luckily, we were able to pack the rest because it was, of course, incredibly delicious and we wanted to savor it later. As soon as we asked for the bill, we were served another round of oozo. But the waiter had such a great sense of humor and was incredibly friendly. After we paid, he immediately wanted to bring us another oozo. But that was enough for now. 😅 Definitely recommended, and for the price, ABSOLUTELY GREAT!!!

This was our first time at this wonderful restaurant and we immediately felt at home. The service was very attentive and friendly, it's great that it still exists these days. The food was truly delicious. Kudos to the kitchen 😄. If we vacation here again next year, we'll definitely eat here again.

Satisfied. A truly successful evening. The starters were satisfying, but also quite large; you could have just rolled into bed afterward. I would like to highlight the fact that you can decide how long to wait between courses. The fish platter was also highly recommended; we'll definitely be back.

Ongoing rating: Cozily furnished restaurant. The Athos theme is beautifully incorporated and developed in the interior design. The menu is extensive, with everything you'd expect from a Greek restaurant. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and has a good overview of everything. Questions that a server can't answer are quickly resolved by a colleague. The dishes served are very well portioned, but when the restaurant is busy, they can sometimes be "only" warm... so I'm deducting a star here. The prices are appropriate for today's times and are in keeping with the overall ambiance. Update from September 20, 2022: Today we're giving it the 5th star! What we had there today was simply magnificent. The platter for 2 people is amazing; everything fits perfectly: selection, taste, and the portion is easily enough for a family of 3! Keep up the good work, you're great!!! Update from March 30, 2025. I was here for dinner again. The food was fantastic. It's nice to see that they're investing money. The ambiance seems to have been maintained or even improved over the years. You feel completely at home!

We were there for the first time with friends on Saturday and visited it again on Sunday because it was really delicious, very cheap and great portions.. we haven't eaten such good Greek food for a long time

We've tried many Greek restaurants so far. As locals, this was our first stop. We sat outside because we had our dogs with us. The server took care of our dogs before our turn, which was definitely a plus :) We had the garlic bread with tzatziki, which was the best we've ever eaten. Moussaka and bifteki were our main courses. Highly recommended. Everything was freshly made, you could taste it. The homemade lemonade is also highly recommended. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay, the friendly and attentive service, and everything else.

The "typical Greek" with ouzo on the house first. All the dishes are as usual, of good quality, and beyond the reach of the average person. The service is friendly, the restrooms are very clean, and there's nothing to stop us from returning.

Food is ok. The service goes like this. Friendliness could be a little better and you shouldn't look at or observe customers so strangely sometimes. It won't be our favorite Greek now. Compared to other Greeks, this is the last one I would go to.

You should book in advance, it is always very busy. The service is very friendly and has fun with the guests. The portions are so big, even if you're very hungry you can't eat everything. The taste is ok, I've eaten better there before. I think it's good that the menu is no longer so huge and you can choose your dish better.

We have repeatedly enjoyed eating in Athos. A reservation is also recommended during the week if you don't want to run the risk of not getting a seat or having to wait longer. The service is very friendly no matter who the team is serving the table. There is a very large selection of dishes. The grill plates are very generous so that you will fill up well. But we still always eat a starter, especially at a Greek restaurant. Here in Athos it is possible to get a doggy bag. You can then pack the things you want to take home with you. Finally, we have always received an ouzo on the house and will continue to come back.

We were there two years ago and weren't quite as convinced. This time we tried it again based on a recommendation and were very surprised. This time we ordered for 11 people at short notice, but we were told that unfortunately we wouldn't be allowed to sit outside, so it wasn't too bad at such short notice. When we arrived there was already a large table waiting for us. Our waiter was simply great, very friendly and accommodating. The food was great and also very plentiful. Thanks for the great evening. We'll definitely be back!

Whenever we are on holiday in Ueckermünde, the Athos is a must. Everything is right here. The ambience is very appealing, the service is very nice and the food is very tasty. We would love to come back.🙂

We had dinner there on August 5th, 2024 in the evening. The order went quickly, we were asked if we would like some garlic bread with it, it was delicious, but we were very surprised when we were charged €6.60 for 4 slices of bread, even though it was delicious nice and steep. The taste of the food was mediocre, even the casserole was bland, the noodles were very soft and unsalted. I then declined the offer to pack the rest. Coming from Hamburg, we don't know that. The food, including the drinks and the bread, ended up being very expensive. There was also no ouzo as is usual with every Greek. We can't understand all the good reviews. Shame about the money.

You can tell from the outside that there is a Greek flair here. Inside, typical Mediterranean furnishings, very bright, attractive. You should pre-order by phone. The classic dishes are great. Map has many variants. First up is the ouzo. Portions generous for our standards. Prices normal.

Disappointed 🙁 Despite a reservation for the outdoor area for two and a furry friend with really good air outside, we had to sit inside. It was very stuffy, no draft... just a very uncomfortable place to sit... It's a shame that there was no opportunity to sit outside despite making a reservation... The food was okay 👍 Unfortunately the meat was dry, but the Metaxa sauce and the garlic potatoes were really tasty. By service we mean something different!!! First of all, it's nice that furry friends are welcome. Unfortunately our furry friend didn't get a water bowl 🙁 sad! And then, we have never experienced anything like this before 🙈 because if YOU want to take something with you because you didn't make it... the packaging will be thrown at you here!... and now you have to pack it yourself....🙈

Very spontaneously called and asked for a table for 5 people in about 1 hour. No problem, do you want to sit inside or outside? Honestly, that made me suspicious. Is it really a good restaurant? When we arrived, we were greeted politely and friendly and shown the table. Very good service. And the food, simply delicious. I had gyros. The meat was really tender and well seasoned. I also tried my children's food and it was also very tasty.

Very attentive service immediately brought water for our dog. Offered blankets because I was cold and there were only places left in the shade. We were guests here yesterday and we were all absolutely thrilled! You just have to say that everything was perfect. Whether it was the food, the ambience or the service, there was nothing to complain about. If we lived in Ueckermünde, we would come here regularly, that's for sure! I'm a chef myself and I have to say that every meal looked incredibly delicious, whether it was a starter, main course or dessert, everything tasted great. Thank God I was allowed to snack on a little bit of each. The service was very professional, courteous, quick and friendly.
