Greek Restaurant ELIA in Berlin

I have ordered here twice so far, most recently yesterday (Friday evening, which is important for the rating of this review as it is always very busy then). The food I received was always good. Nothing earth-shattering but good seasoning and a pleasant amount of garlic for my taste. The pita with the feta and garlic oil was really good. My problem is that unfortunately main courses were not delivered for both orders. The first time the baked potato and yesterday unfortunately 2 of 3 main dishes: pike perch fillet and broccoli casserole. Otherwise we only received the warm starters and a salad, which was served with one of the main courses that were not delivered. Uber quickly refunded me the money, but the dilemma had already happened and waiting another hour for the previously forgotten dishes to be delivered was no longer my plan on Friday shortly before 9 p.m. Unfortunately, it's extremely annoying because there's nothing wrong with the food per se. It's certainly all very different when you eat locally.

I've only ordered so far and it couldn't have been better.

Ambience old-fashioned and dark

Meat tasted very strange and artificial, rice was dry like the sand of the Sahara. Additionally, stomach problems right after eating. Coincidence, I don't think so. Unfortunately not recommended.

I have never eaten such delicious Greek food. The service is great, the ambience is ok, but visually you are not on the Mediterranean. There is a lunch menu, affordable and the portions are totally ok. At the beginning there was a very tasty greeting from the kitchen and Uso. The bread that was served was crispy and really good. We were very satisfied! We both had the grill plate with fries, gyros, suzuki and a pork chop, with salad, bread and tzatziki. The tree is funny...

Friendly and helpful staff Excellent food

We reserved a table at Elia on Valentine's Day. When we entered the restaurant we were abruptly told that we had to leave at 7 p.m....we had ordered at 6 p.m..... The food was lukewarm and without any side dishes, although it cost 29 euros and the ambience was reminiscent of a train station cafeteria. We ordered a Pina Coulada for 10 euros, which tasted disgusting. So, we were served and won't spend our money there anymore!

Cozy shop, didn't really remind me of a Greek atmosphere, nice service, and the menu is very well designed. The first time that there are not only children's portions, but also senior portions. Otherwise, the menu offers all sorts of choices. I had the gyros plate, the meat was well done and tasted wonderful. The fries were good, nothing earth-shattering.

We were here for the first time today with three people. It's a great atmosphere, the "built-in" trees look great. The staff is super nice and attentive, but not intrusive. The food tasted very good. The portions are more than big enough! Gladly and again at any time.

Amazing restaurant! Probably the best greek food I’ve ever tasted so far. We tried a Dakos salad and a feta saganaki as starters and as main dish we got a “aliki plate” which included gyros, chicken, chicken souvlaki a beef (fries and a small green salad on side also). Brilliant!! Service was excellent, very kind and welcoming. The vibe making you feel like home. Highly recommended!!

We came to this restaurant today because of the consistently positive feedback and wanted to have a nice evening on our engagement. Unfortunately we were totally disappointed. We had made a reservation and were taken to our seats, after 5 minutes we were supposed to sit somewhere else... there was no ouzo as a greeting and we had to wait a while until someone came. The salad was ready bag...starter pita bread was unfortunately completely soaked in garlic...hm...main course gyros was very good I have to say that...then it wasn't cleared up for ages. Payment was quick...hmm All in all...regular customers were immediately greeted with a handshake and an ouzo and the other 5 guests were actually ignored...a shame...the restaurant was empty even though others didn't have a free table at that time on a Saturday...I think Your restaurant has good potential because of good food - but please look at the service from the Herkulez I and II or Rhodes, you immediately feel seen as a guest and would like to come back - unfortunately we don't at your place!! Lg

Relatively new and a slightly different Greek on the menu. Of course it's a matter of taste, it's not mine.

Wonderful place, visited more than once. Grilled fish and meat, pasta, French fries, vegetables - everything is very tasty, just a delight. The portions are huge! And before the main course there is also a salad, bread with tzatziki and olives as a bonus. Children are given shots with something green; our son is ready to come here just for them :). At the end of the meal, ouzo is poured heartily over the legs. We'll definitely come again. P.S. It’s convenient to come by car: you can park for free on the street around the corner.

Very good, sumptuous Greek food! There is also very attentive and friendly service, including ouzo for the adults and a non-alcoholic “short fruit cocktail” for the children. As my in-laws report, there is also a cheap and recommended lunch here outside of the holidays, with the same quality and adapted to the normal portion sizes. Attached is a photo of a "greeting from the kitchen", here as dessert. And then there's another photo of the outside view. Conclusion: Full recommendation. We'd love to come back. :)

I had the lunch grill platter, which was very tasty and before that there was a salad with bread tzatziki and olives. Service was attentive and very friendly, you were immediately welcomed with an ouzo. The restaurant itself is clean and very cozy. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely come by again 👍😀

We ordered ala cart for 9 people. Great service, various extras were no problem, very good food, whether meat, fish or just salad, everything was very well prepared and delivered quickly to the table, I can (must) recommend it. J.B.

Yesterday we ordered bifteki for work three times. The only things edible were garlic potatoes, tzatziki and Metaxa sauce. Bifteki – dry and partly raw. The lettuce leaves were already black underneath. Unfortunately, when we finished work, the restaurant was already closed because I wanted to ask the chef if he would like to eat it. It's a shame to serve customers something like that and for a lot of money. I am very disappointed.

I ordered via Lieferando. As stated, the food arrived after an hour. The pita with garlic and feta was very tasty, hence three stars. The gyros, on the other hand, unfortunately didn't suit my taste. The meat was too fatty or too mushy. 😬 I also expect different rice from Greek. The rice delivered was with carrot and broccoli. I was expecting or wishing for more tomato rice.

Lovely and courteous staff, something that you don't really know as a Berliner anymore. Delicious, hearty cuisine and generous portions as you would expect from a Greek and the lively influx of guests from the surrounding area proves that price and performance are still right here. A real recommendation.

The food is very good and reasonably priced. Very friendly and attentive staff. There is not only an ouzo before or at the end, but also often in between. A visit is worth it.

Today was the first time here, 5 people, spontaneously on a Friday early evening. We called beforehand because we wanted to sit on the terrace. This is available, small but well maintained. A bit dark in summer, but it's nice that you can sit outside. The food was quite well seasoned, but everyone enjoyed it. Service was quick and friendly. Toilets were clean, one couldn't be locked. Everything inside looks very clean and new, definitely not comparable in the area. There are a lot of seats inside, I hope it's more crowded later and at rush hour. The business deserved it. With everything we came to around 30 euros per person, completely fine and everyone was full. Card payment no problem (great). Side effect: Many vegetarian dishes on the menu! Thanks, we'll be back :-)

As soon as you enter the restaurant you are embraced by a wave of Mediterranean warmth. The atmosphere is so inviting that I almost wondered whether I would be adopted as a new member of the family. The staff looked after us so well that I felt like Zeus himself - and without any thunder or lightning! The starters are simply divine. Each plate was a journey through the Greek world of flavors that made our taste buds dance. And then came the main courses: the portions were so large that I wondered if they served a second dessert just to make sure I rolled home. And speaking of dessert – the desserts are so heavenly that I was on the verge of giving up my diet permanently. Elia showed me that you don't necessarily have to fly to Athens for a real Greek feast. The kitchen conjures up dishes that not only fill you up, but also caress the soul. Every bite was like a mini vacation on the Mediterranean. Conclusion: Elia is not just a restaurant, it is an experience. A visit here is like a little piece of Greece in the middle of the city. Absolutely recommended and definitely worth 5 stars

It was nice to be there more often. Service was good as always, friendly and quick. Unfortunately there are deductions for the food. I had a meat platter, as always. Gyros was very dry, like it had been warmed up. Pork steak rather a dry piece of pork... fries rather lukewarm, not crispy. Portion for Greeks is rather small, which I'm not used to. I eat Greek food about once a month, but probably not here anymore...it's a shame.

We go to the restaurant regularly. Very good Greek wine and a balanced menu. We always feel completely comfortable and are happy to come back.

Elia is a great Greek restaurant. We like to eat there in a great atmosphere.

Visiting this restaurant was the first visit and also the last visit. The waiter felt he had to discuss with me what I ordered. Instead of baked potatoes I got rice. Only after he had checked the menu did I get my baked potatoes with vegetables. The vegetables were so overcooked that you couldn't even tell what they were. The baked potatoes were jacket potatoes floating in a broth. My partner had liver and gyros with garlic potatoes. If he had been blindfolded, he would not have recognized what he was eating. The meat and liver were so tasteless. The entire meal felt as if it had been waiting for us all day and was just warmed up quickly. We hadn't finished our small salad when our food was served. Under all guns!!!

We spontaneously went to this restaurant today. A very good service. We had four starters and four grill plates and various drinks. All very good quality. Thank you for the lovely evening. Unfortunately we cannot award six stars.

Hey readers, Elia employees and restaurant manager! Today I ordered via Lieferheld and also ate from you for the first time. Amazing, I haven't eaten anything this delicious in a long time! I'm so full, I'm bursting at the seams and there's an inner satisfaction that's spreading so that I'm really in the mood for a nap at 3:50 p.m. 😅 I had a urania plate with gyros, lamb, chicken and veal, with garlic potatoes and zazigki. Chocolate cake and cold starter fat. Due to supernatural hunger, we went straight to the potatoes and gyros. What can I say, potato gyros were all so delicious that you couldn't stop. AND IT'S SO MUCH for the money that everything else is still there. Tasted everywhere, everything was as delicious as the gyros and the potatoes. Every full forkful is a taste explosion. Gyros nice and juicy not too dry, potatoes still crispy, there was quite a bit of garlic to be seen, everything was hot, everything was delicious and to the point despite the 15 minute delivery distance.. the salad dressing was divinely delicious.. and I don't even want to talk about the chocolate cake ❤️ I'm so happy I'm full and I'll have the rest tonight, I'm already looking forward to it 😁 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ + additional ⭐️ Full 6 out of 5 stars! Wir waren am 6.12.23 gegen 15 Uhr zum Essen dort. Nach einiger Zeit kam der Kellner, wir hatten 5 Bestellungen, er hatte sich nichts aufgeschrieben und einige male nachgehakt. Unsere Reaktion mal sehen was wir heute bekommen. Die Vorspeise entsprach nicht unserer Bestellung, somit haben wir reklamiert. Statt einer Entschuldigung wurde ich Frauenfeindlich und arrogant überheblich abgewiesen. So etwas ist uns in den vielen Jahren noch nie passiert. Wir haben den Rest der Bestellung erhalten wurden aber nicht mehr bedient, konnten keine Getränke oder weiteres Essen bestellen. Wir gehören zu den Stammkunden, die mit Freunden und Familie sehr oft kamen. Weil wir sonst immer sehr sehr zufrieden waren. So möchten wir nicht behandelt werden und werden zukünftig dort Essen gehen wo wir normal höflich behandelt werden.

Wir reisen viel durch ganz Deutschland, aber an diesen Griechen kommt einfach keiner dran. Sensationell gutes Essen zu fairen Preisen und eine sehr freundliche Bedienung. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne hier hin. P.S. nicht von dem äußeren Erscheinungsbild täuschen lassen, da vermutet niemand so ein mega tolles Restaurant drin

Etwas kühl in den Räumen. Essen war gut und reichlich.

Essen und Service war gut, hatte Kalbsleber mit Zwiebeln, hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Der große Raum wirkt auf mich etwas ungemütlich.

Wir waren 11 Personen und es hat uns allen sehr gefallen. Tolles Essen und aufmerksamer Service, es war ein schöner Abend für alle.

War ganz lecker preislich etwas teuer für das Ambiente und das Essen war aber sein Besuch wert

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Der Tisch war reserviert. Sehr schönes Ambiente. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich, fragte immer nach ob alles okay ist. Das Essen war ohne Beanstandung. Der Laden war sehr voll , gut besucht.

Es ist wie Freunde besuchen. Man fühlt sich ein Stück Griechenland näher. Herrlich ist es mit den Bäumen in der Veranda zu sitzen und den Straßenlärm ignorieren zu können. Leider ist es manchmal sehr voll. Aber man spürt keine Hektik 😁

Man fühlt sich hier fast wie Teil einer Familie: die Angestellten sind super nett, aufmerksam und auch wenn der Laden voll ist, sind alle freundlich und geduldig. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, immer frisch und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Die Moussaka ist ein Träumchen und in die Vorspeisen könnte ich mich auch reinlegen :-)
