Gotti Pizza in Saarbrücken

Wow...I haven't eaten such great pizza since my last vacation in Naples. Anyone who complains about the edge (you don't have to like it, ok) has never been to southern Italy... (that's right) and if the pizzas are too expensive...sorry you have to spend money on good things!

The food came to the table very quickly. It looked delicious and tasted very good too. There is a lot to choose from and there is something for everyone. Unfortunately, our table was right at the entrance and therefore also at the passage. There was always something going on here and it was very loud. But the restaurant is nicely decorated and you feel comfortable in it. We'll definitely come back again.

The pizza at Gotti Pizza was very good, the fresh and aromatic ingredients were particularly impressive. I had the 'Vesuv' with a good mix of tomato, spiciness and onion - a top taste combination! The dough was tasty, although I would have liked it to be a little crispier. The service was attentive and friendly. However, the price for the pizzas is on the higher side. Overall, a highly recommended pizzeria in Saarbrücken!

On the recommendation of a friend, we ordered a pizza to take away. The reviews were sooooo positive that I thought ok for the prices it must be perfect. Unfortunately it was a flop. Had the pizza with truffle cream. My pizza was pretty soggy in the middle after I cut it and you could also look for the truffle. Just under €19 for a normal pizza is just too much Too bad

Recommendation for anyone who likes Neapolitan pizza! Drinks were quick and well chilled.

After 40 minutes we still didn't get our food, the service was poor. Other people who came after us got their food before us and 20 minutes after we ordered, our waitress came and asked if we had already ordered. After she took our order 20 minutes in advance. We waited a total of 55 minutes for our food!!!

I think this is the restaurant where I ate the best pizzas. Cooked over a wood fire, the dough looks like eating a cushion because it is so soft and the ingredients are not bad. The "best pizza in town"! I haven't been able to try so many in Saarbrücken, but they definitely live up to the reputation. It's best to eat locally to get the full taste experience ;) Thanks to the new ordering system, you don't have to wait to catch someone's attention; you simply order using the QR code provided and then receive your order fairly quickly. The seats outside could use a seat cushion and it is a little tight in places, but that is not an exclusion criterion. The pizzas are really very tasty, fluffy on the edge, they don't skimp on the ingredients and you can choose between unusual card pizzas (as you can see in the picture, e.g. Carbonara), or make special requests at any time and they come nice and hot to you. So far everything has always been taken into account for me! In short, if you're in the mood for pizza, good pizza, then it's definitely worth a visit.

Best pizza in town 🤩 The dough is simply amazing - I've never had it so good anywhere else. Since I've been eating with you, I've found other pizzas to be at least ok. The guys and girls on site are always super friendly and on their toes. You never wait long here. Price-performance ratio is absolutely ok - you might pay a few euros more than usual on average, but you also get very good quality and an amazing taste experience. The toppings are anything but 0-8-15 - there's something for everyone here, I haven't eaten anything here yet that didn't blow me away. I have to say, I have never eaten pizza like this before. Pizzas with unusual ingredients and a thick and "fluffy" crust, which was quite tasty. To be clear, they serve rather unusual pizzas. You can order in advance via the Internet using a QR code, but we didn't know that yet. After a while the waitress came and we were able to order. It could definitely have been communicated better in that sense. Otherwise they were friendly.

The best pizza in all of Saarbrücken can be found at Gotti. There are unusual pizza variants here, not always just the standard pizza. Anyone who likes pizza should definitely have a pizza here. Unfortunately, a reservation is only possible for groups of 4 people or more, but we have never had really long waiting times. :-)

The pizza here is surprisingly good! Interesting flavors, tasty base and additions. I especially recommend the "Beppa" pizza! The place is atmospheric, in good weather you can sit outside. As for the service... The beginning until the food was served was great. Unfortunately, I feel as if we were completely forgotten, no one came to ask if everything was OK. After eating, we waited for a long time, there was no traffic, and yet no one from the staff showed up. We asked for the bill, but after a while we just had to go inside and pay there. We will probably come back, because it is the best pizza in Saarbrücken, but unfortunately we are not satisfied with the service. Pity.

Pizza is very good, but also expensive, which is justified by the exclusive ingredients. Staff could be more attentive if you want to order something else, and if there are several people, don't just ask one person. Drinks menu is also quite small, I miss the variety, especially coffee, which unfortunately didn't taste good at all. It is well attended, which is a sign of the good quality of the pizza, but it is very noisy as a result. I also find the high stools without backrests inconvenient for eating, which lowers the overall rating. Pick-up service would be happy again, consumption on site is no longer possible.

In general, I think the pizza here is great (even if the service varies a lot). Something also doesn't seem to be quite right with the card machine when you select the tip. I noticed afterwards that I had been debited almost €2 too much... I have no idea whether that was a system error, but I would definitely recommend checking exactly what was being debited.

Here you can tell that the focus is on quality. The ingredients differ significantly from what you would expect from the pizzeria around the corner. The topping was also generous. The pizza costs a little more, but you also get a special pizza experience. In contrast, the restaurant actually comes across like the pizzeria around the corner. Clean and well-kept, but boring and furnished without a lot of frills. Sufficient for a lunch break with colleagues, but nothing for an evening visit to an “upscale” Italian restaurant. Service was slow and not particularly attentive during my visit. If you stay relaxed here, you can enjoy the pizza afterwards and look forward to the dough and the ingredients on it.

Unfortunately, we were turned away on the phone with the advice that “only” 3 pizzas were not enough to be able to place an order over the phone. We had already wisely said that we would like to come and pick up the pizzas ourselves. Of course, that didn't happen after such an arrogant and less than customer-friendly remark...

The selection of pizza is really great - in addition to the pizzas listed on the menu, most of the ingredients can be freely combined. The service was also friendly and helpful. The perfect restaurant to spoil your evening. :) We reserved a table for 8 p.m. 6 weeks ago for a birthday dinner. We arrived with hungry stomachs and excited anticipation, but our excitement was quickly dampened by the endless wait. After initial inquiry we were told that the kitchen had been informed and our order would be brought forward. The excuse was that they were understaffed in the kitchen. While I understand that staff shortages, especially in the catering sector, can lead to major challenges, such a long waiting time of 2 hours (until closing time) is simply unacceptable, especially when you consider that other guests who arrived after us were given preferential treatment and also got their pizza before us. In addition, after further inquiry, we were assured that the pizzas were in the oven. After a 30-minute wait and just in time for the store closing time at 10 p.m., we asked again what was going on with the pizza. The pizza actually wasn't in the oven and the wait became too stupid for us. No explanation was given regarding the lie. The staff also didn't go any further to suggest us an appropriate solution, which speaks volumes about the lack of commitment to customer satisfaction. We left the restaurant hungry and disappointed and that was it for our birthday dinner. Thank you for the unforgettable memory, dear Gotti team. :))) ...It is the responsibility of management to ensure that there are sufficient staff to ensure the minimum level of service. If you don't have enough staff to handle upcoming peak times, you should consider taking on fewer customers. Hopefully this criticism will be taken seriously to avoid such unpleasant experiences in the future.

I'm not normally the kind of person to give such a review, but I have to get it out of the way. I made a reservation four weeks ago to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. The reservation was at 8:00 p.m. and we arrived 10 minutes late and ordered as quickly as possible. It was then about 8:30 p.m. At 9:45 p.m. we were still waiting and there were friends at other tables who came after us and had already had their food. We asked the employees about it three times and each time they said “it’s about to go in the oven.” The place closes at 10pm and we were still sitting there at 10:05pm waiting for our pizza, which appeared to still be in the oven. At some point the whole thing became really too stupid for us and we got up and left. At the counter we saw that our pizzas weren't even in the oven yet and there was no real explanation from the employees. Our friends traveled here especially for their birthday and so we lost 2 hours (!!!). If it doesn't work due to a lack of staff, then 1. you shouldn't have taken on another person shortly before the end of the day 2. you should work on time management. If they had said from the start that there might be a delay, we would have been the last people to cause a discussion. A birthday was ruined. I haven't been this angry and disappointed in a really long time. Never again. Thanks for nothing.

Unfortunately a disaster. We went to Gotti's yesterday because we know they have delicious pizza and we were extremely hungry. Even if this has been confirmed, we won't be going there again, especially on the weekend. When we arrived the sun was still shining and it was still relatively early, so we looked for a place outside and ordered. At the beginning everything was fine: super nice service, drinks were delivered quite quickly. Afterwards we had to wait over an hour for the pizza we ordered. By now it was significantly colder outside - when we asked if we could go inside, we were unfortunately told "no space", so we waited outside for our pizzas for another few minutes. While we were waiting, another waitress came by four times to bring us food or drinks that we hadn't ordered. Since no one knew where they belonged, all the other tables after us were asked about - only partly with success. After almost 1.5 hours, during which we waited outside, some of which were a bit cold (even though I had a coat on), our pizza finally arrived. As always, she was thrilled. Even after eating, things went quickly again. The unfinished pizza was also packed up for us, but the waiter dropped it on the floor in front of our table. She apologized with “Sorry, all the stress” and handed us the packaging. Even though the service was friendly and we could understand the stress, we ended up with pizza with the toppings hanging on the box and no longer on the pizza itself. What else did we notice negatively: The toilet was disgusting. The toilet bowl and the floor around it were soaking wet, which the restaurant can't do anything about other than make sure it is cleaned. We definitely didn't go a second time. There were people standing directly in front of our tables who had ordered food and were waiting for it - also for ages, so they complained several times (both to the employees and openly to us guests).

At 10 p.m. we still had nothing to eat (the restaurant closes at 10 p.m.) and our pizzas weren't even prepared. Strangely enough, everyone else who came after us already had their orders, and we couldn't be given a logical explanation as to why can be. Really a shame and very bad management. If you don't have enough staff in the kitchen, you should also be able to estimate when you will no longer accept guests. Above all, you should prepare the order as soon as it is received and not the newest ones first and then the others at some point. We also made the reservation 4 weeks ago and got up hungry after waiting 2 hours. Unfortunately, the long journey wasn't worth it for us and the birthday didn't go as hoped.

Auf meine Frage hin, ob eine Stunde Wartezeit echt als normal empfunden wird, verständnisloses Nicken. Das sei halt so. Unfassbar.

Pizza at a very high level!!! Real Neapolitan pizzas with a thick crust and a thin base, plus toppings that you won't find in a dozen pizzerias. You really should try the pizza yourself! Unfortunately, I have to deduct a point for the ambience, as it is quite loud in the restaurant and the entrance area is often filled with guests who you have to squeeze through if you want to go in. But I hope the newly introduced online payment method (Apple / Google pay) will reduce the rush of paying guests in the entrance area.

The best pizza in town! I find the new ordering system very practical; you can reorder drinks at any time without having to wait for service and they are brought to your table fairly quickly. You can still order from the waiter if you prefer.

Hip shop, which is certainly tailored to a younger audience, can be ordered via a QR code on your cell phone, which works smoothly and really quickly. My pizza was really first class and with the chili honey (which I didn't know about) it was a real treat. For my taste the pizza crust might be a little thinner but that's complaining at a high level. The service staff was also extremely friendly.

Addendum letter received from the lawyer: I have the bill for the meal as proof and everything was exactly as described, but now 1/2 year later a letter came from Gotti Pizza's lawyer via Google warning me if I I stand by my statement about our negative experience during our visit! We had reserved for 8 people and were given a small round table with 6 chairs. After asking several times, we were given 2 tables and sat separately in 2 groups, which was ok for us. The service is very expandable. Empty glasses were not cleared away and drinks were only brought when requested, with the comment that there were no clean glasses at the moment. Some of the pizzas were burnt black. The topping is far too little for the price. We won't be coming back!

Addendum: I was also threatened with the “lawyer”. Instead of facing criticism and improving, we take action against negative reviews. We were a larger group of 8 people and were guests in the restaurant on August 29th, 2023. The reservation worked great and we got a long table at the back of the restaurant. In the beginning the service was also very quick with the drink order being taken and drinks being brought to us. But I didn't like the "homemade lemonade" at all. It was actually just water with a hint of lemon. Too bad. We then all ordered our pizzas. I chose the tartufo with extra burrata. My seatmate for a chorizo ​​with extra garlic, pepperoni and rocket. And my other seatmate for the BBQ beef. As I said, there were 8 people at the table. And everyone ordered pizzas. The first three came relatively quickly. Then 3 more and while putting down a pizza the waitress knocked over a full bottle of Radler and almost all of it landed on me. We then tried to dry the table and my clothes with the napkins. The waitress then brought my friend a new beer but there was no compensation for me. By the way, no new napkins either. That was not all. UNFORTUNATELY. The pizza from the person sitting next to me was incorrectly topped or all the extra ingredients were forgotten. At first she didn't notice that it was apparently hers and the pizza went back into the kitchen. A few minutes later the same pizza came back to the table with the explanation that someone had ordered it. So she said, yes but with the extra ingredients which obviously aren't on it. So the pizza went back into the kitchen where the chef carelessly threw RAW coarsely chopped garlic and RAW Pereronschinis on it. The arugula had also been forgotten. So the pizza, which had already made a few rounds in the restaurant and was also cold, was complained about. Meanwhile, of course, the remaining pizzas didn't come from the table. Instead, other tables were provided with pizzas in the meantime. Finally the other 2 pizzas arrived. It took 20 minutes between receiving the first pizza and receiving the pizza that was complained about and now corrected. Of course the others' pizzas were nice and cold in the meantime. And if you come as a group, you also want to eat together. My colleague (a seasoned man) almost cried when he saw his BBQ beef. There were only 5 small lumps of beef on the entire pizza and the rest was full of peaches. He didn't have any meat on every piece and at a price of €17. My Tartufo was quite ok. Unfortunately I didn't taste the truffle and the mushrooms completely saturated the dough. The burrata was relatively tasteless (something I've never had before) and carelessly packed straight from the fridge. So we definitely won't be coming to this store again. We really could have spared ourselves the 30km journey.

If the lawyer doubts that you (4 people) weren't there and therefore can't judge pizza, it becomes difficult. We were invited by our child and so I can't show any invoice. The fact that the unprovable invoice makes my rating invalid months later is probably also a calculation on the part of the operator or the lawyer.

We regularly ate or ordered from Gotti. Until recently we really liked it too. Unfortunately, there have been some negative changes recently, especially - the introduction of reservations for 4 people or more. Gotti identified the relaxed and uncomplicated concept. That seems to be over. Without a reservation it is now very difficult on the weekend, even for two people; - an increasingly poor and unfriendly service. This ranges from negligence resulting in an incorrect bill to dismissive rejection due to lack of a reservation; - related to this, dealing with customers in general. Taking legal action against negative reviews may be advisable in individual cases. But here it seems aggressive, unreflective and out of place. We really hope for improvement. Then we'll come back.

So I absolutely can't understand this hype about the store. I would say I have never eaten such bad pizza before. The bottom of my Margherita was completely soggy and therefore non-existent. The taste of the cheese takes some getting used to. What irritated me the most, however, were the “grilled chicken” strips that I ordered with it. These were more reminiscent of ready-made strips, which are also the type you get in ready-made salads at discount stores. Nothing here was grilled or freshly prepared. Very sad. The atmosphere there is absolutely uncomfortable. You feel like you're in a fast food bistro. So my conclusion: once and never again. ADDENDUM: I was also informed by a lawyer that my review violated the company's personal rights. My review is supposedly fictitious and not truthful. Of course, you can also manipulate your Google rating by deleting all bad comments. Awkward.

The staff is very friendly, but I have never experienced anything so disorganized and chaotic. I had to order 2 of 3 things several times or remind the waitress(s) to do so, sometimes even different ones, because they simply didn't come. The icing on the cake was that my half-full glass was cleared away when I went to the toilet.

I gave a truthful review here because I often vomited after the visit. Legal action was taken against this comment about 1/2 year later and it was claimed that it was fictional. As proof they wanted to see my bill, which of course I no longer had. So don't be surprised if you don't see any negative comments.

The pizzas were very good. Lots of flavor in the toppings and dough. A little waiting. The service is deplorable, impersonal and worst of all, you have to order on the phone.. it's a real shame.. an Italian restaurant is normally friendly where it exudes the joy of living.. you wouldn't say it when you see the staff at the restaurant. room. I still recommend it for good Neapolitan pizzas. Alcohol-free wine is very good.

First of all, a great atmosphere, something completely different!! The service is excellent, everyone is super friendly and attentive!! And now about the food: the best pizzas ever are here. Not huge but twice as tasty. Great and sumptuous toppings and delicious fine delicacies. Men's favorite is the chorizo!!! I hope you stay with us for a long time.

Super nice service, pizzas not too big but with fresh, high-quality ingredients and tastier than any I've had in the area. Unfortunately the background noise was very loud in the small rooms, and the toilet was not in good condition.

The pizza is very tasty, although difficult if you were in Naples 3 months ago and ate the original and have a direct comparison. Basically it was a nice evening but I wouldn't have to do it again. Didn't find the pizza bad and not good anything in between. The service was very friendly.

Great service, drinks HUGE plus, but my pizza had a stupid dough to toppings ratio - so for my taste, and the €19 I paid, I had too much dough and therefore not enough toppings. The taste of the topping was still very solid to good.
