Favorite restaurant on my favorite island 🫶🏻 Since childhood, so for quite a long time, I've known and loved the island, and especially the food at GOSCH. We used to get the crabs from the fishing boat, and GOSCH was a small food truck in the harbor. Today, we can enjoy fish at GOSCH in many places, but it still tastes best in List, in the old boathouse, or in Wenningstedt. The service is always very friendly, prompt, and cheerful – that's also something very special about you! It's great that GOSCH exists 🙌🏻🐟🦐🦀💓

I know a lot of Gosch restaurants in Germany! The Alte Bootshalle is my favorite! Always new and delicious dishes and very attentive staff!

There you can spend beautiful days and evenings

The ambiance is great, the servers are very attentive and quick. Even when it's busy, the food is served quickly and of top quality. The portions are large, fresh, and delicious. Some may find the prices intimidating at first – but they are absolutely justified and definitely worth it. If you're in List, you should definitely visit the Gosch Alte Bootshaus. Highly recommended!

Unfriendly staff, and the food was barely better than fast food! Be careful when ordering drinks, they always sell you the more expensive option! Gosch is definitely overrated, and its best days are unfortunately over...

The interior is worth seeing. The decor is unique. So many different rooms, including a beautiful bar, plenty of seating for any number of people. And I immediately met the owner, Mr. Gosch, at the bar, just like years before. Always ready for a quick chat.

Too many people, but very uncomplicated and fine food

This was our third time here. We had oysters. They were very good and fresh. Unfortunately, this time we had two slices of white baguette, which were a bit limp and not crispy. Last year we had whole-wheat bread with delicious cheese... We don't like the concept of getting food while sitting in the beach chair. We didn't know it was self-service. Next time we'll sit at the counter again.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The staff were unfriendly, their comments were unfriendly, and the food was cold and nothing special. I'd heard a lot of good things, but it didn't live up to my expectations.

Typical Gosch, even if it's the original Gosch. Loud, crowded, and quaint. You'd better expect fish and seafood; there's not much else to be had. But the fish dishes are very good. It's certainly not cheap, but it's self-service. We had mussels, fish soup, cod fillet, and vegetarian rösti with tomato and mozzarella.

Like everywhere else, the same lousy fish sandwiches, without salad, onions or anything else, simply disappointing.

The Alte Bootshalle (Old Boathouse) is legendary in List. If you haven't been here yet, you should take the time to visit. You can choose your own seating, and food and drinks are self-service. Very attentive staff clear the dishes and keep the tables clean. High praise goes to these hard-working employees. The selection of delicious fish dishes is impressive. If you don't find something here, it's your own fault. The staff behind the counter and in the kitchen work quickly and efficiently, even when it's really busy and hectic. Often forgotten, the restrooms are always very well-maintained. If you're looking for a bargain, you're in the wrong place. Prices are similar to those in a restaurant.

We had lunch there while on vacation. My husband had the redfish with fried potatoes and cucumber salad. I had the salmon pesto spaghetti. Both were delicious, and the portions were quite filling. It's also nice to be able to watch the food being prepared.

Funny, friendly, delicious, fresh, and always worth a visit! Gosch - what else?

A fantastic restaurant 👍 Perfect location, great ambiance, you can even eat in a beach chair. The service staff are very attentive, friendly, and quick. Our daughter had the kids' menu and still raves about it. We adults can also praise the food 👍 If we're ever there again, we'll definitely be back.

Since I was craving something Asian, I ordered Thai noodles with shrimp. The dish that came with rigatoni and a cream sauce that at least tasted spicy. I don't mean to be nit-picky, but rigatoni is undoubtedly Italian pasta, and in Thailand, they don't cook with heavy cream sauce. Selling it as Thai noodles and charging almost €20 is outrageous.

It's a must-see if you're on the island. It's amazing what a place it is and how it's been continually expanded, yet it remains the original Gosch. The food is delicious; there's everything from the snack bars outside and the typical Gosch self-service concept to table service and large counters, all related to fish and Gosch. The food was good, and the service was also very friendly and quick; everything was fine.

Everything was as expected. The cheerful and consistently attentive service staff were worth mentioning. Even after asking three times, and still not knowing what I should eat today, the waiter remained friendly. I'd be happy to come back!

It's rare that I have to change a review out of anger. I've noticed before that the Gosh prawns were always prepared slightly differently, sometimes more, sometimes less, but to suddenly replace them with fried pre-cooked prawns is just too much. At the very least, the guest should be informed, because it was a complete disappointment and a fraud.

Too bad - it's just so expensive - the quality doesn't match the prices! I've been a guest there for 25 years - now I'm going somewhere else! Deluxe plate 32 euros with dry fish - cucumber salad is a joke! I don't need it anymore! It used to be good with great value for money - not anymore!

Somehow "wonderfully chaotic." But the clientele who eats here likes exactly that. Including yours truly 😊

A lovely little fishing harbor with plenty of restaurants and ice cream parlors to choose from. Clean public restrooms and several supermarkets are also available. Boat trips are also offered. Definitely worth a visit when you're on the island.

Dear Jünne, we love your boathouse and have enjoyed coming here for years. We enjoy your delicious dishes and love trying new things. Today we had "Octopus à la Jünne." As always, we were very impressed, even though the delicious fish dishes hardly come from the North Sea. Allow us a small note about the plate: There's no dip for the octopus and the squid tubes. Something clever here, it doesn't necessarily have to be a garlic sauce, would certainly be great. Just a tip, everything else was 👍

We love the old boathouse, the crayfish with fried potatoes, the ambiance. And with a bit of luck, the owner himself will stop by and greet everyone, with his cheeky lobster sticking out of his breast pocket.

"Legendary restaurant on Sylt!" If you're on Sylt and want to experience true fish tradition, you have to go to Gosch in List. A huge combination of restaurant, bar, and fish market, it's always very busy, but still has a very pleasant atmosphere!

It doesn't get any fresher than this. Great fish dishes! Enjoy them most comfortably in a beach chair. Definitely recommended.

For us, a visit to the Gosch Restaurant (Alte Bootshalle) in List, right by the harbor, is a must several times during our Sylt vacation. The quality is always recommended. We've tried a lot of different dishes and have never been disappointed. The decor is rustic, with lots of boat accessories everywhere. Of course, you can also sit outside, which is nice. The owner is often on site to make sure everything's in order. It's a self-service restaurant. There's a large, free car park, but on some days it can be crowded. We recommend the spicy Thai noodles, the grill plate, the luxury plate, pan-fried fish with mustard sauce, and much more. The Asian fish soup is also recommended for a light snack or as a starter.

If the menu says "Thai noodles," you'd assume they'd have those noodles. Unfortunately, instead, they serve rigatoni in a tomato cream sauce. Other than the fact that they're a bit spicy, it has nothing to do with the name that distinguishes them.

We go to Sylt every year and our favorite place to go is the old boathouse. The ambiance is incredibly beautiful. The food is fantastic. We absolutely love the boathouse platter.

The fish and other dishes are delicious, and the seating inside and outside is lovely. Ordering is now also more convenient (staff no longer yell at you like they used to) – hence, all 5 stars 😀

Gosch in List on Sylt was a different and cool experience. At first it seemed stressful as you order food at different cash registers depending on what you want to eat and drink in your own place in the middle of the restaurant. Must experience

Overrated. The fish stalls, anyway. I had two fish sandwiches: one Bismarck and one salmon. The sandwiches seemed to me to have been cobbled together without much love and in an assembly-line fashion. The price is fair (€4.50/€5.00), but considering that you're at the source, it's actually unfair. From a business perspective, it's all understandable: minimal effort, maximum profit. From the customer's perspective, however, it's very disappointing. On the other hand, the staff behind the counter were very friendly! 👍 Conclusion: I'll skip the trouble next time.

We've been to Gosch List several times and had excellent meals in the waitress area. The service was super friendly, professional, and very fast! But yesterday, everyone outdid themselves. The night before last, a storm started here and brought heavy rain. This had its consequences at Gosch – there was water ingress, and the restaurant had to close. We were quite sad. But then everyone from the various teams, who were supposed to be off work because of the incident, pulled together and worked hard to get the restaurant ready for guests and open it again. It was another wonderful evening with great food and service! You can all be proud of yourselves, dear Gosch team – you're truly fantastic!!! We're already looking forward to seeing you again, thank you, thank you, thank you 👏👏👏

I haven't eaten fish this bad in years. It looked like I was a recycler. I don't usually share negative experiences, but this was simply terrible. Gave up after two bites despite being hungry. Have you tried it today? Definitely never again!

First of all, big praise for the service and the ambiance. It was really great. What was annoying about the ambiance was that it was quite loud and it was difficult to understand the person sitting across from you. However, there were enough seats, as you always got a seat somewhere. What bothered me about the meal was that for the second time after eating at this restaurant, I got a stomach bug and have been sitting on the toilet for two hours. Otherwise, the food tasted good, a solid 7.5/10, so really nothing to complain about. P.S. If anyone knows what you can do for stomach problems, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

It was definitely recommended in the past... But now it's mass-produced! Poor quality and expensive. Taste-wise: supper: broth from a packet, completely over-seasoned, vegetables from refrigerated food, not even chopped. I doubt it's the original Sylt fish soup with broccoli 🙈 Portions aren't big enough. Unfortunately, in some places, like List, there's no real alternative to Gosch... Absolutely not recommended!

A very large selection of fish dishes. Everything is delicious. It's self-service, but the wait staff clears away quickly. There's ample seating inside, in the conservatory, or outside.

Yesterday we went to Gosch in List on Sylt again. We've been coming every year for 20 years, but we've never been so disappointed. The roll? Dry on top as Atlantis' knee, completely soggy on the bottom from the fish water, whatever happened there. For €5, you don't get a fish roll here, but a culinary misunderstanding. The location? Once charmingly maritime, today a bit of a cafeteria with a harbor view. Service? Friendly, no question. But niceness alone doesn't make for good food. Our conclusion: Gosch used to be an institution. Today, unfortunately, it's more of a tourist cliché with a tendency toward neglect. It's a shame, because Sylt deserves better.

Not cheap, but very good! All the fish dishes are delicious... and filling!

Four of us were there for lunch. We had a rosti plate for €24.50 with three rosti, three small scampi, and a few crumbs of crabmeat. The salmon on top of the salad was so thin you could see through it. Never again!!!

Very nice restaurant with a great atmosphere in the hall and a beautiful outdoor area, with a view of the Ellenbogen... and the food is great anyway.

We visited the northernmost "fish shack" again today. It was delicious, and special thanks go to Barialei, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and thoughtful.

As an old Gosch fan, I wanted to treat myself and treated myself to a fish pan with mustard sauce and fried potatoes for over 25 euros. What I got was abysmal. The completely tasteless mustard sauce was poured over the entire contents of the pan. After 2-3 bites, everything, including the fried potatoes, fish fillets, and tasteless vegetables, was a single mustard sauce mush. Even salt and pepper didn't help. Now, if Gosch only serves unloving and overpriced tourist food,

The Gosch restaurant in Lister Hafen is tastefully decorated and offers a pleasant atmosphere – especially in the outdoor area overlooking the harbor. The menu is diverse, with a particular focus on fish and seafood, offering both hot dishes and takeaway snacks. The quality of the food was consistently good, freshly prepared, and attractively presented. I found the value for money to be fair, especially considering the location and the touristy surroundings. If you want uncomplicated yet hearty food, this is the place to be.

I ordered the Labskaus. Labskaus isn't everyone's cup of tea. This one wasn't quite sure what it was trying to be. It came with Bismarck rollmops (very common), but also with herring dip and crab. And the Labskaus itself was too corned beef-heavy for me, and stringy, with a peculiar flavor. You can't go wrong with beets, cucumber, and a fried egg. I've decided not to order Labskaus here again.

Super delicious fish specialties and a great atmosphere awaited us at Gosch in List. The food and wine were, as always, excellent!

I'm disappointed, concerned, and negatively surprised by my visit to the Gosch restaurant in List on Sylt, once my favorite and iconic restaurant. What has happened to the quality of this chain? After a long journey, we arrived at 9 p.m. on a Sunday during peak season, full of anticipation, only to be told that the kitchen was closed. The explanation: "We close one way or another." This leaves me speechless! The jacket potatoes we were given smelled of feces. After we complained, they offered us a replacement, which was okay, but the staff were neither polite nor accommodating, even though they acknowledged the smell. What has happened to the service and quality that made Gosch so special? It breaks my heart to see my favorite restaurant like this. I sincerely hope management resolves these issues quickly!

The Gosch self-service restaurant is located in the Gosch boathouse. It's huge. Fish dishes are divided into themes. Good value for money. Fresh fish: we had grilled shrimp and fried fish. It's hectic and loud. The staff is mostly friendly and helpful. And the tables are closely spaced with stools. Okay for a quick bite, but otherwise, go to the restaurant, but it's significantly more expensive.

Unfortunately, it was too cold that day, so we all ordered hot chocolate. What we got tasted like water with whipped cream. Undrinkable and very expensive. I briefly suspected that the rinse button on the fully automatic machine had been accidentally pressed. We didn't eat anything else afterward. Given the prices, it was too risky for me after my experience. In my opinion, it's a complete tourist trap.

Great food, that's all it was. It has a train station feel, and it feels more like a good-for-you fast food restaurant.

It's quite a tourist hub here. You wind your way through crowds and grab something to eat at various stalls. The fish soup was mediocre; I've had better.

I compare it to an amusement park, but with a twist. Simply fantastic, the display is excellent and fresh. The layout of the self-service and service is also well thought out. The food is fresh and appealing. I'm really impressed. Unfortunately, the other branches aren't like that.
