It's a shame, the price-performance ratio is no longer right. We are regular guests at the Alte Bootshalle every year, and, as in Wenningstedt, we can see that not only are all the dishes becoming more and more expensive, no, fewer and fewer are being served on the plate. Our favorite grill plate alone has become more and more expensive in recent years from 19.50 / 21.50 / now to a whopping 27.50 €. And this despite the fact that the fish fillet is only the end pieces and the salmon is only a narrow strip. Not to mention the fried potatoes, which had the impression that they were just warmed up. P.S. But the ambience remains great.

As always, the ambience is good, but the food has deteriorated. There is not nearly as much on the plate anymore and the prices have increased very, very significantly. The staff sometimes gives you the feeling of being a bother when you want to order something....👎🏻

Cleaning light on shortly after nine, Chairs up and cleaning buckets on the counter. From then on everyone went home. It seems that there is no longer any need to mention the statement “shorter in winter” without mentioning the time, which sounded very arbitrary to us. The situation was also very unpleasant for the other guests.

After a long walk on the beach, lunch at Gosch was just the thing. What was ordered: - Kids menu 2 - Thai noodles with crab meat - Surf&Turf In the kids menu, the toy was adjusted independently by the waitress so that it would fit our 4-year-old daughter. This was also great! As always, the Thai noodles with crab meat tasted just right with the slightly spicy sauce. There was also enough crab meat to be found. This time the Surf&Turf dish was tested and found to be good. The sweet and spicy sauce was very tasty. The crunchy vegetables and peanuts rounded off the taste. The steak and shrimp were cooked just right. The mango chutney with it wasn't to my taste and a bit too spicy. Due to the low season, the boat hall was not too full.

No matter which corner you look into, there is Gosch everywhere and that's a good thing. Delicious fish from a fun and friendly staff in a nice atmosphere.

Delicious and a must on Sylt. The boss was also there. I had the grill plate and we always had a glass of Rose Secco. I'll be back. Sylt isn't Sylt without a visit to Gosch!

Gosch on Sylt is a must for us. We like it here. The atmosphere, the many delicious little things and of course the “main courses”. Everything is always freshly prepared and totally tasty. Of course the Gosch also had to raise prices, but compared to the prices on the rest of the island it is still cheap (and good). A bottle of Gosch Pinot Gris cost €18.50 during our visit. The shop with fresh fish is also highly recommended. We'll be back.

Super delicious canapes prepared as an offer with a nice, tasty cool Köpi mushroom. A must to enjoy the experience in the boat hall near Gosch.

Gosch in Lister-Haften, one origin... overall the complex consists of 4 or 5 individual parts, the restaurant "Knurrhahn" (there you have table service), the "Alte Bootshalle" with self-service and comfortable seating as well as one Bar, then "The northernmost fish stall" also with self-service and counter-like tables with stools as well as a ship bar in the entrance hall with additional seats, this completely closed awning area is warmed again by many heaters and radiant heaters... The restaurant "Jünne" with great panoramic glazing was unfortunately closed during our visit but definitely worth a visit... At peak times it was very, very crowded, seats were in short supply and the acoustics were tiring... A positive thing to note is that the boss himself “looks after everything” every evening and makes sure that all guests find a place. feel good. Highly recommended is the “coconut curry ginger soup” with crayfish meat and garlic bread, which is really delicious.

Absolut unfreundliches und genervtes Personal , nachdem wir am Selbstabholer Thekenbereich unsere Speisen bestellt / bezahlt/ abgeholt hatten , dazu noch einen Wein bestellt hatten , kam es nun zur geeigneten Platzsuche. Nachdem wir diesen gefunden hatten und uns gerade auf den Verzehrt freuten, kam ein Mitarbeiter mit schlechten Deutsch Kenntnissen zu uns und forderte uns dazu auf diesen Bereich wieder zu verlassen . Auf Nachfrage kam keine Erklärung- sichtlich genervt fragte ich erneut nach dem Grund . Ich erklärte ihm das wir die zuvor hier gekauften Speisen und Getränke auch gerne hier verzehren möchten. Er wiederholte seine unverständliche Erklärung - lenkte dann aber ein und gestatte uns zumindest aufzuessen, den restlichen Wein müssten wir dann aber an anderer Stelle verköstigen. Daraufhin fragte ich nach einem Geschäftsführer, welcher mir diese einmal verständlich erklären könnte. Kurzerhand beförderte er sich zum Geschäftsführer 🤣, darauf hin fragte ich ihn - ob er einen gefiederten Begleiter hätte- dieses erwiederte er genervt und verschwand. Kurze Zeit später erschien eine deutschsprachige Mitarbeitende - welche sich ebenfalls als Geschäftsleiterin ausgab- und versuchte ebenfalls uns die Sitzplatzordnung zu erklären. Als Erklärung kam - die zu erwartenden Reservierungen in diesem Bereich 🤷‍♂️……. es waren vielleicht 5% der vorhandenen Sitzplätze belegt ??????? Es gibt Gottseidank noch viele weitere Esslokale hier auf Sylt - welche ihre Kunden noch schätzen - Leider - ein ehemaliger sehr leuchtender Stern verglüht gerade.

Charming touristy anachronism, with Taussade-like dioramas and nautically-themed dining rooms, cosying the windward shoreline at Sylt's most northern point. Eye-meltingly pretty location.

We were happy to go to List for dinner twice during our stay in Westerland. We weren't disappointed. Delicious fish dishes with friendly service accompanied us into the evening.

2024: At the end of the Sylt week while waiting for the ferry, we also “gosted”. Recommend the delicious canapes. 2019: Always an experience.

Wir kommen seit vielen Jahren zum Gosch in die Boot Halle. Wir waren immer zufrieden, auch wenn wir merken, dass die Qualität etwas nachgelassen hat. Aber dass ein Garnelenteller vollkommen geschmacklos und trocken serviert werden kann für 24 €! Ist dann doch auch für treue Gäste zu viel. ich wusste gar nicht, dass es möglich ist, etwas derartig geschmackloses und trockenes hinzubekommen. Ich war derartig enttäuscht, dass ich nicht zum üblichen zweiten Mal den Gosch besucht habe. Auch bei meinem nächsten Aufenthalt Weihnachten werde ich nicht zu sparen, da ich mir derartiges nicht mehr antun möchte.

Was gibt es schöneres als nach einer Fahrradtour im sonnigen Herbst nach List bei Gosch einzukehren und Fisch / Meeresfrüchte im Strandkorb zu genießen? Wir haben uns zu 4t eine Meeresfrüchte Platte für 2 Personen geteilt und waren super zufrieden. Gerne immer wieder!

Excellent food in a great atmosphere with good value for money

Super tasty fish dishes and quick to make. The food alone is worth a trip to Sylt.

I ordered fish fillets with vegetables and potato salad at the counter for a whopping 25.50 euros. The small fish fillets were the size of maggots. They had been incorporated into the vegetables. Incredible food. This is a snack of the lowest standard. Never again. Was at Blums the day before. Eat sole. 7.50 euros 100 grams. Gosch charges 5.00 euros more for 100 grams, unbelievable rip-off.

Wonderful evening spent here. Great service at the bar (the friendly lady noticed that the Moët that was poured was stale and opened a new bottle for two glasses). The oysters were great, as were the plaice and the pepper salmon with the fried potatoes. Huge selection of space both indoors and outdoors. The boss himself was even there (probably more often, I was told). The store is just running! Always my pleasure.

Every Sylt holiday we go to List at least once and then go to the Alte Bootshalle and eat scampi and drink Rose von Bimmerle. Splendid. We are already looking forward to the next time.

It is a self-service restaurant with a special ambience. The dishes are very well prepared and appetizingly presented. This is also the case in other fish bistros on Sylt. But the unique selling point is the incredible ambience!! Both inside and outside, you quickly forget that you are actually in a self-service snack bar. Cozy, harmoniously maritime, with lots of gimmicks... plus very friendly staff who quickly light another candle or take the plates away. You can easily pay €3-4 more than at other fish bistros.

Very tasty food, the old boat hall is always a highlight. You can also sit outside perfectly. But you have to watch out for the seagulls here, they are really aggressive there. But you're safe in the covered beach chairs.

The saleswoman with the tattooed hands was probably just having a bad day or had another one from the night before. Something so rude and unfriendly. And the fish cake for 3.90 was old

Unfortunately, Gosch no longer has the flair of years gone by. This may certainly be due to Gosch's desire to be represented everywhere. Friendly staff doesn't help either. The fish is fresh, but unfortunately the rolls around the fish are not. Between Usedom and St. Peter Ording there are 1000 better fish and crab rolls than in List. The oysters are fresh, but unfortunately poorly cracked. The fish soup was tasty, but not sensational. Dear Gosch management, for my next Sylt vacation I would like class instead of mass.

Food is great, but the lights are turned off at 9:30 p.m., regardless of whether the wine bottle is still full or not. Yes, there are opening hours, but there is also customer-oriented service and we should reintroduce that.

Delicious food (especially the pasta with salmon or burrata) and very friendly service from manager Julia. Plus, it's really quick - as soon as you order it, it's already on the table. We visited the Gurnard several times during our stay in Sylt.

The food wasn't bad, but the service was relatively, well, I don't want to say unfriendly, but I can't think of a better word for it. No service here either, everything is just self-service. On top of that, you may have to queue at two different counters for two different dishes and then at the third counter for drinks. Honestly, no one needs that. My wife had brought me my food and by the time she had hers I was long gone. This works better in every fast food restaurant.

Located at Lister Hafen - our favorite Gosch location. We come here every time we stay in Sylt and enjoy the consistent and convincing quality at moderate prices. There are lots of seats. Mr. Gosch himself is also often present, which simply creates an authentic impression. Self-service, cash and card payments are possible here.

We recently went to Gosch Sylt and ordered wine and various dishes. Of course, we understand that there may be waiting times when there is a lot of traffic, which is completely fine with us. Unfortunately we discovered that one of the dishes was completely cold when it arrived at the table. What was really disappointing, however, was the reaction of the waiter Thomas when we tried to politely point this out to him. Without acknowledging us, we were rudely dismissed with the words “NOT HELLO”, whereupon he quickly left. Unfortunately, this behavior really dampened our mood and was completely inappropriate in this situation. However, big praise goes to Aref, who took our order. He was very friendly and understanding and immediately took care of replacing the cold food. Thanks to him, we felt in good hands despite the incident. Finally, we would like to say that rude interactions like those with Thomas do not correspond to the otherwise positive impression of the restaurant. We hope that this remains an exception.

The Atomare is too hectic for me, List has something of a folk festival with a fairground.

Staff stand in the middle of the entrance area and chat instead of making room for guests to enter. At the counter I was almost run over by the same guy. Simply picking up fish sandwiches with unwashed hands doesn't whet your appetite for another... This staff is not trained! We everything more expensive and worse. I have been coming to Sylt since 1971 and still know the small 5 meter cart where Jürgen Gosch served and sold the rolls. Good old days, including friendly mindfulness of your fellow human beings. Things used to be better, my grandpa said. I'm almost that old now.

The food is simply perfect. Prices are usual.

Food was delicious, person behind the counter was very unfriendly. There is an urgent need for renovation here. Upholstery on the upstairs seating is worn out, windows and walls are dirty, socket frames are completely destroyed (for safety reasons this needs to be repaired immediately). We actually always enjoy coming. Given the prices, I expect that the furnishings will also be appropriate.

A large Gosch restaurant with many seats. If you haven't reserved a table elsewhere, or if you spontaneously want to eat or drink something, you can always find a place here. Either in one of the many beach chairs or indoors. We like to be here often.

We always enjoy coming here to eat. There is plenty of seating and very tasty fish dishes. Good price/performance ratio and the house wine is also very tasty and not too expensive. Tip: You can sit beautifully behind the boathouse and, with a bit of luck, have a view of the sea while you eat. We had the Thai noodles, Matjes Hausfrau style and boiled shrimps. 🫶🏼🎣

Alle paar Jahre machen wir Urlaub auf Sylt. Wir kennen die nördlichste Fischbude noch aus den Zeiten, wo sie vorn offen war. Es gab noch keine Halle und auch keine weiteren Niederlassungen. Dann ist Gosch gewachsen ohne Ende. Vor Corona, 2019, haben wir in der Fischbude noch € 16,50 für den Lachsspieß bezahlt. Jetzt, im Juli 2024 kostet er € 25,50. Das ist mit nichts zu rechtfertigen und ich nenne es Abzocke. Weiterhin war der mittlerweile 83jährige Herr Gosch gerade dabei, einen Angestellten lauthals zur Sau zu machen - vor den Gästen. Dann sind sie in der Küche verschwunden …

One of the best fish suppliers on Sylt and unbeatable in terms of service/price performance and seating for consumption! Didi makes the best plaice and excellent grilled prawns with the right wit and humor for the customers, the team is very friendly and everything is put away cleanly straight away and you feel comfortable with Gosch and the guys at the grill. Always excellent. Only this year, for the first time, a huge disappointment... Jumbo plaice Finkenwerder... only bones and very little limp fresh meat, which is not what we are used to from Gosch... Greetings from Eastern Austria!
