Delicious, unusual sauces. Unfortunately, the bread doesn't live up to the high price point, and the ambiance feels worn after only a short time; they also don't just use plastic cutlery anymore.

From favorite kebab to mediocre! After the shop opened, Gorillas quickly became my favorite. Unfortunately, the freshness and especially the variety gradually declined. The final straw was yesterday's delivery order – far too little salad, far too much meat, and my requests were completely ignored. On top of that, the bread wasn't ready. A huge disappointment.

Good place to have a meal, food is good with a good ambience

We ate there, and they conjured up a true masterpiece for us. The sauces are refreshing, and the meat is tender, practically melting in your mouth. Everything tastes fresh, and no expense is spared on the ingredients. Definitely recommend it!

The hot sauce isn't spicy at all. It's just sweet. Unfortunately, the staff was overwhelmed. Instead of writing down what the customer wants when ordering, they call out to you at some point after you're already seated and get completely confused.

Expensive and poor-quality kebab. It's on my top 5 bad kebab list. Unfortunately, the drink prices weren't listed directly in the fridge either.

I order something from them via Lieferando, wait two hours, and then the order is canceled. I live 500 meters away from the store, and they can't seem to deliver it to me. Such a shame. I used to really like the kebab shop. Now, the bread at Döner and Dürüm is no longer made in-house, and at the same time, the prices have gone up! It's a shame, but now it's truly extortionate.

Before the concert, I had a kebab with garlic sauce 😊, it's OK, but nothing special, it just takes a while....., the price is also OK, then I ate it on a bench at Waldplatz because all the tables, inside and outside, were taken while I was waiting. That's the disadvantage of standing in line alone with people who came in groups after me 🤷‍♀️

Very tasty kebab. Fluffy bread, delicious sauces, and especially the pickled salad tastes delicious. For an extra €1, you can get hot cheese sauce. Highly recommended! We really enjoyed it.

Chic shop, friendly staff, and the food was delicious. The mixed durum with cheese sauce was really good. The pickled red and white cabbage tasted particularly good.

A good standard kebab. Nothing special. Large selection of sauces, especially for vegans. But also for non-vegans. A good kebab, in terms of taste.

For a kebab shop, these were premium conditions. It was clean, the restrooms were also very clean. They worked with gloves, and the food was delicious. We were there at 4 p.m. on a Sunday. I'd rate the occupancy as mediocre. However, it was quick, and they took their time for the quality. I can easily recommend it and would only criticize the service for a minimal amount.

Had the Cheesy Döner. The concept is actually quite nice and well executed. The garlic sauce, unfortunately, wasn't particularly good; it had hardly any flavor. The salad tasted strongly of vinegar. The meat was dripping with fat. The bread tasted quite good, but for €10, I expected more.

I'm here every few weeks, but unfortunately, the Dürüm is getting smaller and smaller and doesn't taste the same as it used to. It's a shame, considering it's already considered the best kebab in Leipzig.

I've been a customer since your restaurant opened. I've eaten there almost every week. The food was always excellent, and I was one of your most loyal customers. I ate there today – it was the worst kebab I've ever had in Germany and Leipzig. I'm giving you a rating of 2 out of 5 this time. Last time, it was only 3 out of 5. I don't know what the reason for this decline is, but I strongly advise you to return to your previous quality – only then will I remain your customer. Otherwise, I won't eat there again. This is honest feedback to the Gorilla Döner team.

I always eat a Dürüm here, and everything tastes great, 10/10. However, I was quite disappointed with the size of the Dürüm today. Apparently, they're using a smaller wrap now. The price has stayed the same, of course, but you get less now. I find that pretty outrageous for €8. I've always been completely full, but unfortunately, that's no longer the case with the new, smaller portion. It's a shame; it's made the kebab shop less attractive for me. Rethink their pricing policy or the portion size, and then I'll get a better review. ;)

We weren't very impressed with Gorilla's kebab. Prices are way too expensive, the staff was friendly but didn't understand my order despite repeating it several times. In terms of taste, it wasn't really my cup of tea either.

According to me the best Döner I ate in Germany , I am not exaggerating, it’s because of one of their red sauce whose flavor takes it to another level. However, there is nothing unique in service or atmosphere but it’s good, in fact servers can actually help customers with a smile on their face in customizing the Döner as variety of sauces and salads can be overwhelming for them.

The homemade falafel in particular are first class. There are three delicious vegan sauces that you often miss in other stores. Super nice people and pleasant atmosphere. Price-performance is also great!

Rude employees, I wanted to buy a kebab with veal and they said no. A few minutes later someone came in and simply ordered a veal kebab. I had to eat mine with chicken and that wasn't worth it. Price performance wasn't right and the quality was bad, never again

Personally, I'd say it's one of the best kebabs! Always delicious, and even when I have it delivered, it always arrives warm and very quickly! It tastes great, tastes fresh, and I can only recommend it!

“Way too expensive for what you get!” Had dinner here today and am really disappointed. 11 € for a kebab plate without fries would still be okay if the portion was at least large or well topped - but it wasn't. Hardly any sauce, not a bit of cucumber or tomato, just dry meat with a bit of lettuce. For this price I expect more - elsewhere you can get a better portion and more taste for less money. Unfortunately I don't recommend it!

So I was there yesterday at lunchtime. Sensational kebab, I've never seen one like it before. The shop has a lot of sauces, more than any other kebab shop I've ever been to. So the meat was standard, but in retrospect it was well seasoned when more spices were added when it was served. It had a very good taste of its own, but I would have liked it to be on everything in the kebab and not just on top. As a result, some things tasted very good with the spice, but the other places where it wasn't included - the taste was missing. Salad was a little different and looked different than normal kebabs, but here it was very tasty. It was fresh, had a bite and was well portioned. The sauces were very good. The chili sauce was one of the hottest I've ever tasted. But it also tasted like chilies and not like spicy tomato sauce. The curry sauce was creamy, subtle, fresh and delicious. The bread was also different, but very, very tasty. It was one of the best things I've eaten so far. The service was quick, competent and very friendly and accommodating. When I said I didn't want any tomatoes on the kebab, they quickly and separately prepared cucumber slices for me in an edible size. Very accommodating. Unfortunately, there were too many cucumber slices on top of the kebab, so that at first everything only tasted like cucumber. But I think that's whining on a grand scale. That's why I thought this service was great. The kebab was prepared very quickly, faster than in other shops. Grade: 4.75

Friday evening, concert in the arena, full streets, lots of hungry people. The 3-4 kebab shops on Jahnallee were all well attended, so we decided on this one. There were 2 or later 3 employees present who were unable to cope with the "rush" (approx. 15-20 people in line). Dirty tables in the store and the tray cart is already overflowing with garbage and leftover food. A normal kebab was forced to be ordered, as both Dürüm and Lahmacun bread were empty in the early evening. After about 30 minutes of waiting, I had the kebab in my hand, which tasted below average. Quite small and low meat content, the only positive thing I can highlight here is the exceptional selection of sauces (in addition to the classics, there is also hummus and baba ganoush). All in all, it was unfortunately very disappointing.

Very bad. Greasy and served on a board where half the kebab is distributed around the shop on the way to the table. It's a shame for every euro.

Music there is way too loud and in the cold the door was open the whole time.

We had a voucher, but unfortunately it wasn't accepted because there was a football game that day... we were then sent away very unfriendly. We had made a special reservation in advance.

We wanted to use neotaste, but they decided they didn’t accepted anymore for the day, even though we had already reserved and we had the right to use it. They say they are partners with the app, but it doesn’t work in the reality. The employees were unpolite and didn’t want to help us. Don’t come here if you want to be treated well. Really bad experience.

Nice shop, nice service. Unfortunately, the chicken seems to have been from the day before and unfortunately it no longer looked so appetizing on the skewer. Maybe in the future use smaller skewers in the evening and then a fresh one the next day. Unfortunately, we all had stomach aches afterwards and some of the meat was still raw.

Demanding 50ct per sauce via Uber Eats at a price of €9 for the kebab is quite cheeky.

For me, light, fresh and fluffy bread is one of the crucial ingredients in a good kebab or dürüm. When I was at Gorillas for the first time, I was immediately impressed by the extraordinary Dürüm bread. The boss himself spoke proudly about the quality of his bread - rightly so, in my opinion. It is all the more disappointing that this special bread has now been replaced by a bland, industrially manufactured product. The current bread, only briefly warmed up, seems heavy and sits like a stone in the stomach. The excessive amount of raw vegetable salad also makes this deficit even worse. I even went there again to check whether it was just an exception or whether the bread was simply sold out. Unfortunately, my suspicions were confirmed: the bread was probably permanently replaced. It seems as if it was sacrificed to the interests of profit - a real shame, because it was precisely this detail that made the offer so special. You can also see the good bread here in some of the photos attached to the reviews, for example from Martin: "Best falafel in Leipzig I recently visited a friend and he really wanted to show me this shop...now I know why. The service is A1, the employees are friendly and fun to have. I had a Falafel Dürüm that impressed me with its quality, it starts with the homemade bread that is baked in-house. This means you can taste the freshness in the bread and the difference from the competition. Falafel are crispy but not dry for that extra crunch. All in all, a nice experience if you focus on quality and not quantity." What remains is another run-of-the-mill offer.

We were there after an event in the quarterback arena with what felt like a hundred other hungry people. The place was extremely full and yet the staff was really nice and things went quickly. The food was delicious too! All in all, a clear recommendation!!

Best kebab in Leipzig I chose the Gorillas team

Okay kebab, but it can be improved. I had the cheesy kebab. I had previously seen the reel on Instagram and came here just because of that. The kebab was not prepared the way it is presented on Instagram. Unfortunately I had a kebab with too little bread and too much sauce. This could have been done better. Things were constantly falling out of the dumpling bag. The “spicy” sauce is so-so hot and you can’t taste any of the herb sauce. I have to give a plus point for the fresh vegetables. You could make improvements in some places and make it a little better, then I don't see any problem at all with having a very good shop. The decor, staff and ambience are good for me, but you could do with some music playing in the background.

A spontaneous Dürüm brought in, the ambience is very clean and there is relaxed music playing. Compared to Frankfurt, the prices (€8) are good, you get a very large Dürüm, which is even briefly toasted. Delicious food, nice staff, the ambience is also nice, only there is a star deduction because when I wanted to sit in and eat, it felt like I was in a shisha bar while I was eating. The sauces are also great, they are really good and as standard there is also hummus and baba ganoush, very nice! The kebab is also topped so carefully and beautifully that every bite is perfect with all the flavors right down to the last one. Pide tastes very good too!

I have never had a situation, where the döner is so big that i have to finish it the next day. And the lahmacun is even bigger! Make those few steps outside the old town part and visit this place. Worth it 100%

Yep...it's a solid kebab, crusty bread, seasoned with cucumber and tomato. Meat is okay, I personally find the cabbage too sour and the hot sauce not so good. The herbs are great for that. All in all, I can't quite understand the hype surrounding the store, but I'm also from Berlin 😅 Leipzig doesn't have that much potential

A visit to Gorillas is an absolute must for all kebab lovers! The meat was perfectly seasoned and juicy, and the crispy crust gave it a wonderful texture. The fresh ingredients, crisp salad and aromatic sauces rounded off the taste experience perfectly. Of particular note was the bread, which was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside – just right to hold all the delicious flavors together. The service was friendly and quick, and the portions were generous. With the kebabs from Berlin, one of the best I've ever had. A small negative point was that the employee prepared the kebab in slow motion, but it was definitely worth the wait. Overall, a fantastic experience that I would recommend to everyone. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Believe the hype. Yes, the plastic plant neon sign wall is peak Instagram. Everything else is substance, not appearance. We had a kebab & a falafel dürüm. Bread was fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. Meat: juicy and spicy. Falafels: aromatic AF. Sauces: Champions League. And the amount of toppings is distributed across three kebabs in other stores. So: A+, we're happy to fill our bellies here again.

Very nicely decorated kebab snack bar, all sorts of selection of fresh ingredients and homemade sauces. It would be nice if the tables were cleaned/wiped a little more often, all the tables were dirty with leftover food. This somewhat disrupts the overall picture.

My new favorite kebab!!! I came here for the first time because I really wanted to try the kebab with cheese sauce. And what can I say... simply amazing! My highlight is actually the bread. This looks homemade, is nice and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The meat is sliced ​​thinly, making it nice and crispy and absolutely delicious. The salad is fresh & crunchy. The red cabbage in particular looks much higher quality than in other stores. Large selection of sauces: Classic with herb, garlic or hot sauce or something more unusual (vegan) with hummus, eggplant or a spicy sauce. The cheese sauce costs an additional 1 euro. You should definitely try it. The cheese sauce is not skimpy and tastes extremely good on the kebab. What I find very interesting is that there is “only” a small selection of dishes: kebab, dürüm, lahmacun & kebab platter (So ​​no “big kebab”, “mega kebab” etc.) + Pizzas & finger food. The shop is completely modern. It actually has more of a restaurant atmosphere than a snack bar atmosphere. Seating is available indoors and outdoors. You will be served very quickly and friendly. The price-performance ratio is great when you also get such great quality. I'll definitely come by more often now! I definitely want to try the homemade pizza. Thank you for this great kebab!

I can say with certainty that Gorillas Döner in Leipzig offers one of the best kebabs I have eaten so far. The taste far exceeds anything I've tried before. The selection of sauces was impressive, and my choice of garlic and herbs proved excellent. I've already tried kebab in Berlin, but Gorillas Döner is definitely on the same level. The restaurant itself is attractively designed and you immediately feel at home there. When the weather is nice you can even sit outside. The price-performance ratio is also reasonable. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Overall, a clear recommendation for all kebab lovers!
