Good Food in Köln

Das Good Food fiel uns auf, da wir im Motel One am Mediapark in Köln übernachteten. Das Restaurant sprach uns optisch mit der schönen Dekoration sofort an. Wir bestellten Bowls und Cocktails. Das Essen und die Getränke waren hervorragend. Die Bedienungen waren durchweg sympathisch. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend und kommen gerne wieder.

Espresso wasn't hot.Dessert overpriced

The name says it all! A very nice, clear menu and everything from the cocktail to the fries tasted really good. It was also pleasantly quiet at the time, even though it was full.

We wanted to eat 2 of the 5 suggestions with NeoTaste, unfortunately there were only 3 suggestions left on the menu. The first waitress was a bit overwhelmed because she saw our feedback as an attack and forgot about what we ordered. There was also a technical question from the boss, with the words, we won't be making NeoTaste any more soon anyway - just trouble. My Healthy Bowl had neither chia seeds, cashews nor cranberries, the rice was hard to aldente and in the second bowl the rice was cooked through but steamed because it was too hot, which I took as an lese majeste when I asked if everything was OK . Even my gift that this isn't really how you treat guests who might come back hasn't changed his unprofessional manner. We were here twice, the first and the last time! PS: According to a friend, the bowls are only half the size of their predecessor

The food was small and we had to wait forever. I won't come again. The price-performance ratio is not right from end to end

Drinks were ordered and received, then there was probably a shift change at the service, we had to wait a full 30 minutes until someone took the order, despite asking for service at the bar. The apple spritzer is listed on the menu as 0.4 liters and I only got 0.2 liters for the same price. I didn't have the nerve to argue over the €2, I'd probably just get stuck with the waitress, who was friendly. Latte macchiato almost €5 without biscuit and without sugar. When the waitress asked for sugar, she went to the bar but was told away by the barman that there was no sugar. She came back with sweetener. No thanks. The coffee went back. Cancellation was probably unusual and the “foreman” then remembered where the stupid sugar was. The now slightly cooled coffee was served again with sugar. Impossible shop, nice service, eating is so good. Oh yes, and one dish was forgotten, then arrived late when everyone else had already eaten, "Great!"

We wanted to stop for a nightcap after the cinema and decided on Good Food. I can't say anything about food or drinks (except that the prices are at the upper end of what is bearable), because we didn't get any. As soon as we entered we were stared at blankly and my greeting was not returned. After waiting 15 minutes for service, I went to the counter to order, only to be told that the checkout had already been made and there was nothing left. A quick reference to this when we entered the store was apparently too much to ask. Such service staff will make your toenails turn up. One star is still too many.

Not good food I was there on September 28th. In 2024, as has often been the case after the cinema at Good Food So far I've only tried the bowls and they're great I've known what not to do since my last visit Under no circumstances order the “tapas”! I had the chicken pieces, my companion had the spring rolls Both not tasty or not edible When we were told that this was not edible, a very unfriendly manager came and told us that the food was okay OK ! Although the spring rolls were returned after the first bite, we had to pay for them Not a pleasure, but a new experience

Bad food! I was at "Good" Food in the evening and ordered spring rolls. What came looked good, but unfortunately didn't taste good at all. Thick dough drowned in fryer grease with a vegetable filling that you had to look for with a magnifying glass. Definitely the cheapest convenience food, far from good. But that alone wasn't what motivated me to write this bad review, but rather the manager, who angrily came to our table to ask what was wrong with his spring rolls. I showed him the inside of the roll and he said that spring rolls without filling were just American style...haha! He was very aggressive and then said, in the original tone: "I don't care whether you like it or not!". I don't think there's anything to add to that. They can neither cook nor deal with criticism. No wonder the store was almost empty on Saturday evening. I wish you a nice bankruptcy!

Very nice location, great food, service tends to be unfriendly. Everything is freshly prepared and tastes very good. Perfect for going to the cinema next door afterwards.

Definitely in the top 5 of what I have ever eaten (Peanut Bowl), the drinks and service are also very good. Absolute recommendation

I had the Dragon Bowl and it was brutally delicious 😋 Everything was super fresh and seasoned to perfection. But not only is the food delicious, the location is also really nice. All in all a great experience. ☀️

The food was great, as was the ambience! The portions were reasonable and the dishes were sophisticated and well thought out!

Overall really nicely decorated. The service wasn't all that good. We waited a long time before we were served and could order something to eat. In addition, the price/performance ratio wasn't right for us when it came to food. Drinks were okay overall.

A beautiful shop, but unfortunately very unmotivated employees. When we arrived we noticed a couple who politely canceled their meal, for which they had probably had to wait too long. We ordered a coffee and a cappuccino. After 20 minutes without our ordered drinks, the service staff's empty expressions and a noticeable number of empty glasses from the remaining guests, we left. There wasn't much going on and, in our opinion, not too few staff either. Too bad.

Delicious drinks. Especially the lemon basil iced tea

Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. We ordered two dishes, both of which contained way too much mayonnaise, completely masking the taste. When we politely asked the waitress whether there was anything we could do about it, they didn't respond. Instead there was just an unfriendly reaction. At the end we were also accused of having eaten 'more than half', which is completely unprofessional. Customer service looks different. We're definitely not coming back.

Die bowls sind voller Mayonnaise voll geklatscht, als wir uns beschwert haben wurde nichts unternommen sondern erwähnt, dass das anderen Kunden so schmecken würde. Absolute Frechheit für eine derartige Speise 20€ pro Bowl zu verlangen. Jeder andere Laden in Köln ist geschmacklich und vom Service her besser.

The shop and the food are the last thing. We couldn't use Neo Taste because apparently the order was different than what was specified (although it wasn't agreed upon beforehand). All bowls full of mayonnaise. Absolutely not recommended. When we mentioned that the food didn't taste good and there was too much mayonnaise in it, the answer was “yes, do you think so?” - but nothing was done about it.

The food and choice of dishes are delicious and creative. The ambience is nice too. BUT: the service is noticeably untrained and sloppy. We waited a long time to be able to order and finally had to go inside to get noticed even though it wasn't even full. Now unfortunately the sad highlight: we ordered a portion of vegan teriyaki tacos (with plant-based chicken from planted). So we bit into the taco and enjoyed the consistency, which tasted and looked extremely like chicken. We had it go back to the kitchen to check if it was real chicken and it was real chicken. Unfortunately, something like that is absolutely not possible! When mistakes like this happen to people who have severe allergies, it can be life-threatening. And even as a vegan, I just don't want to eat dead animals and rely on getting what I order. This taco wasn't even available with real chicken, so I can't explain the mistake. At least a portion of replacement tacos was on the house. Dear Goodfood team, please check your internal processes and make it clear to the chef that something like this SHOULD not happen.

Went with some people from work. Taking the orders was a bit chaotic and over time there were many issues with missing orders etc. I had to ask for a beer 3 times across an hour to finally get one. The food was good

Excellent service. Very nice ambiente. Waitress & waitresses are very kind and always very very helpful. We arrived without reservations and the place full but they managed to give us a very nice table

I don't like writing bad reviews BUT in short: catastrophic service, we waited 30 minutes to be able to order and then got drinks again in 30 minutes. Service staff unfriendly. It's Saturday evening & crowded, I don't expect service in 2 minutes, but that's really bottom drawer.

The bowls were tasty. I only found the breading of shiitake/halloumi etc. to be too greasy and masked the taste of the main component. Point deduction for that. Pricewise higher. But I thought the evening offer with bowl & cocktail for €25 was ok.

The location looks visually impressive, but appearances can be deceiving. We had two *large* bowls, which were generously filled with salad, but hardly any or none of the actual basics were included, which is very disappointing for a price of around €40. In addition, the service was extremely unfriendly and uninterested in customer satisfaction. (There was little to nothing going on in the store) Normally you would expect someone to say a friendly thank you or ask how the food was. But the lady just seemed happy that we left. If the boss reads this, I would advise her to fire the waitress with the tattoos and urge the staff not to argue or engage in similar behavior in front of customers. Such incidents not only damage the restaurant's reputation, but also negatively impact the overall guest experience.

The spot is very nice in the middle of the media park. Staff is friendly and everythig was served fast. The food was okay. The price as well. If you search for something like that this is not the worsest place. For a quick dinner we would come back and we will even try their night atmosphere. I would say they are the better choice when you are at the media park.

The food is very good, large selection with the option to choose small or large portions. The staff is friendly. The prices for the drinks are absolutely exorbitant!!!

If you’re going to call your restaurant “Good Food” then you must have the confidence in your chef to back up that claim. And they clearly do, as the food here was outstanding. Tasty, beautifully presented and served in a beautiful setting - we had a table outside as it was a lovely evening. The waiting staff were patient with my beginner’s Germany and stepped in whenever needed with English to help us out. Warning: the small plate / “starter” dishes are huge! The sweet potato gnocchi and falafel dishes would have been enough to share as a main meal (see the pics on this listing from the restaurant). Highly recommended place for Great Food!

Super delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere. The ingredients are fresh, the selection is large and the service is top notch. We often come here during our lunch break and it's always quick. The star deduction is for the high prices, which are now hardly justified. Since the last price increase €19 for a large bowl and €5 for a drink...

The tacos tasted very good. However, the tofu could have been seasoned. This made the taco taste a bit bland. The iced teas were also delicious. The price is a bit more expensive but still okay.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was really delicious and the eyes ate with it. The only thing to complain about is the high prices, but otherwise I highly recommend it!

The Dragon Bowl was really delicious and the service was very friendly. The price of the large bowl is ok for the quality and the cocktails were also delicious. Unfortunately, instead of the edamame, mainly peas with a few edamame are used, which is also criticized in other reviews and a conscious attempt is made to use cheaper ingredients than stated. Not so cool.

I just paid €42 for a few pieces of fried chicken, a bowl and two drinks, and I woke up hungry. If the food were special I would be completely okay with it, but that was a few fried chicken starters for 12€ 😂 and 2 drinks with syrup for 5€ each 😂 not normal

The restaurant looks fancy, the toilets are nice and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately the food isn't that great. I then paid €20 and left hungry (e.g. €10.40 for 4 mini spring rolls) My friend had a bowl that was the size of a pudding bowl. More appearance than reality...

Half of the meal was sent to the next table. Only noticed after 40 minutes when asked. Then we had to go to the cinema hungry Prices too high for the portion size.

The food is very tasty, the non-alcoholic cocktails were also delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The tables are much too low and could be larger (table for two by the window). The chairs are uncomfortable despite the cushions. It pulled very unpleasantly. There was no air conditioning in sight?! You have to like unisex toilets, I'm not a fan of them. However, visually they are a highlight.

Never again! The food came after an hour of waiting and then only half the order. So we also missed the start of the film in the Cinedom. Also overpriced and uncomfortable.

Die Vorspeisen sind Bombe aber die Hauptspeisen (Bowls) sind sehr schwach. Es scheint auch so zu sein dass die Hauptspeisen nichts anderes sind als ein Mix aus den Vorspeisen mit paar anderen Beilagen. Das war leider etwas enttäuschend ich würde mir mehr Kreativität wünschen sodass die Hauptspeisen einen genauso umhauen wie die Vorspeisen. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hat einen coolen 80s Style.

A stylish place with nice sound and even nicer service. 👌 the food and detox drinks are super fresh and very tasty. We have been here several times and can only recommend “Good Food Cologne”. 👌😊

It is the right place to eat the food is so delicious

The ambience is inviting. The service was fine. We ordered the share plate for two and an iced tea each. Both looked nicely prepared. The dishes mostly consisted of convenience food. Anyone expecting home-made dishes is in the wrong place here. The bowls will probably be fine. Open the bag...into the bowl.

Unfortunately a failure. The food nothing special. Very cold and overpriced. Above all, the service was disappointing. Complaints about salty food were met with indifference/annoyance. No apology or even a coffee on the house or anything like that. The meat is inedible (completely fatty)

Great atmosphere, which is of course very inviting. The food is delicious, but the price is completely exorbitant. In our experience, the “detox drinks” are not recommended; here you can expect still water, optionally with a few lemon peels or other things - hardly any taste, with ice cubes €4.20 (!!). We had a nice, quiet spot in the corner, although you could also hear the employees arguing. We won't come back, it's just not worth it.

Very, very tasty food, beautifully prepared and finally a healthy restaurant. The staff is very friendly. I can really recommend it. Won't be the last time we were here! :)

Sehr guter und freundlicher Service. Getränke individuell und lecker. Essen top frisch, ästhetisch angerichtet und geschmacklich sehr gut. Ambiente modern und gemütlich.

Total überteuerte Preise. Sharing Plate für 21,9€ enthält unteranderem nur eine einzige Falafel. Bowls für ca.15€ bestehen aus einem Esslöffel Reis mit Salat drüber und vielen Erbsen(statt Edamame) plus 4 Garnelen. Eher enttäuschend. Als ich das letzte Mal vor ca.1,5 Jahren hier war waren es noch 5 Sterne… Schade

Tolles Restaurant mit phantastischem Essen

Superbe découverte: des légumes , de la couleur , de la fraîcheur , un endroit qui respire la jeunesse, tout pour finir en beauté une journée de visite à Cologne. Nous y avons super bien mangé, de plus nous sommes arrivés assez tard mais la cuisine a continué à fonctionner pour pouvoir nous servir. Les serveurs sont supers agréables et souriants. De plus, les chiens sont admis et reçoivent à boire. Les poké bowls sont bien servis (nous avions pris le deal Grand poké + un cocktail) et avons été repu ! Les cocktails sont bien servis et originaux, il y'en a sans alcool aussi. Une superbe adresse, n'hésitez pas . Le cadre est très agréable.

Très chouette resto, le personnel est très sympathique, malgré une heure d’arrivée tardive, nous avons été très bien servi. Le cadre est très chouette et la nourriture excellente. Pour ceux qui aime les Poke Ball, je recommande cette adresse à Cologne!

Holá. Das Essen war top, genauso wie der Service, mashalla super Bedienung hier. Verhältnis zwischen Portion und Preis könnte minimal besser sein...Aber rundum alles super. Vallah gerne wieder!

Super leckeres Essen. Hat meinen Geschmack voll getroffen.

War mit einer Kollegin Tee trinken. Der Salbei- und Minztee werden aus frischen Blättern gemacht und wurden mit Honig serviert - das finde ich super! Die Tassen waren abgedeckt - dadurch kann sich der Tee gut ziehen und bleibt warm. Ich habe den Sharing Vorspeiseteller bestellt. Man wird auf jeden Fall satt! Ich finde es schade, dass es wenig Fisch/Fleisch Beilagen gibt, gerade bei den Bowls würde sich Tunfisch oder Lachs gut anbieten. Das Café hat einen starken Fokus auf Veganer und Vegetarianer - nichts für mich persönlich. Der Kaffee kann Tote auferwecken - habe den Fehler begannen diesem abends zu trinken - ganze Nacht kein Auge zugetan. Es ist ein gutes Lokal mit schöner Einrichtung und netten Kellnerinnen, aber einem muss die Speisekarte zusagen. Den Kaffe oder Tee würde ich wieder hier trinken, essen gehen aber woanders.

Great place for vegetarians and vegans, lots of choice.

Schönes Restaurant. Sehr kreative und leckere Getränke. Essen hingegen hört sich besser an als es schmeckt. Tacos teils sehr trocken. Tofu im Taco furztrucken und „alt“. Alles in allem, schmeckt alles nach nicht grad hochwertigen Zutaten und nach besserem Fastfood. Frühlingsrollen (wohl TK) nicht ganz durch und innen noch kalt. Service etwas seltsam und desinteressiert. Dame sieht aus als käme sie grade aus dem Bett, wirkte etwas ungepflegt. Toiletten sehen sehr gut aus, jedoch keine Seife und auch nach Hinweis wurde nicht nachgefüllt. Alles in allem, aber noch ok. Die Getränke sind wirklich eine Wucht. Insbesondere der Cocktail mit dem Himbeeressig.

We took the halloumi poke bowl. It's just surprisingly good and tasty.

Good Food stimmt absolut. Alles war sehr geschmackvoll, frisch, lecker. Die Auswahl fiel uns schwer, weil alles unseren Geschmack getroffen hätte. Wären wir näher dran, würden wir sicher öfter hier essen. Einzig der Brombeer-Minz-Eistee bekommt einen kleinen Abzug. Für mich etwas zu süß und die Minze geht unter. Aber das ist echt meckern auf hohem Niveau.

Bei meinem letzten Besuch im Restaurant Good Food in Köln wurde mir zum ersten Mal die Bestellung einer halben Portion Süßkartoffel-Gnocchi, die ich stets als Vorspeise zu meinem Hauptgericht hinzufügte, verweigert. Auf meine Verwunderung und den Hinweis, dass dies in der Vergangenheit nie ein Problem darstellte, antwortete der Kellner knapp, dass das nun nicht mehr möglich sei – eine neue Anweisung des Vorgesetzten oder Geschäftsführers. Als ich den Geschäftsführer selbst darauf ansprach und erklärte, dass die Änderung für mich unverständlich sei und fragte, warum eine bewährte Praxis geändert wurde, erhielt ich lediglich die unbefriedigende Antwort: "Dinge ändern sich eben." Der Ton wurde rauer, als ich mein Unverständnis darüber äußerte, dass Veränderungen normalerweise Verbesserungen bedeuten sollten. Der „Geschäftsführer“, der sich als der Kellner von vor sechs Monaten herausstellte, der mir den Hummus mit einer Motte servierte, erteilte mir unerwartet ein Hausverbot, stoppte die Bedienung und forderte mich auf, das Restaurant zu verlassen. Es war offensichtlich, dass er das vergangene Ereignis nicht vergessen hatte, obwohl ich damals lediglich das Essen zurück gab und auch keine schlechte Bewertung hinterlassen hatte, da ich früher selbst in der Gastronomie tätig war, und weiß, dass so etwas passieren kann. Diese Erfahrung hat meine Sicht auf das Good Food komplett verändert und mich sehr enttäuscht zurückgelassen, nicht nur wegen der geänderten Bestellpolitik, sondern auch wegen des unprofessionellen Umgangs mit einem Stammkunden.

Mal was ganz anderes, und mega lecker durch vielfältige Aromen im Essen. Und ihr müsst unbedingt mal aufs Klo da!

Die Küche: Geschmacklich und von der Qualität der Ware einfach Hammer! Auch die geschmackliche Zusammenstellung der Komponenten fanden wir super. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis finden wir völlig in Ordnung. Dank an die Küche! Das Personal: Man kommt an und wird direkt höflich empfangen und an den Tisch begleitet. Das Personal ist immer aufmerksam und geht auf den Gast ein. Änderungswünsche werden höflich angenommen und auch nachgefragt. Danke an das Personal! Ambiente Die Räumlichkeiten sind Geschmackvoll und Modern Wenn man in der Gegend essen möchte findet man Good Food im Internet auf FB und Co. Die Homepage ist sehr gut gestaltet und immer aktuell. Also alles auf der Höhe der Zeit! Fazit: Vielen lieben Dank an das ganze Team des Food Good Köl.für den gelungenen Abend 3 von 6 Eisenpfannen

Busy place offering very good bowls...

Das Essen war gut und wir haben sehr nett gesessen.

Wir waren hier heute zum ersten Mal und sowohl das Essen als auch der Service waren grandios. Und die Toiletten sind auch echt ein Hingucker. Ein Besuch lohnt sich!

Was soll ich sagen, ich lieb diesen Laden einfach. Immer aber wirklich immer ist das Essen perfekt. So frisch und immer auf dem Punkt. Perfekt zum Lunch aber auch zum Dinner mit Wein abends super schöne Location.

Hatte hier mittags eine grüne bowl mit planted chicken. War sehr lecker und frisch und das chicken sehr kross und saftig. Meine Empfehlung!

Nett draußen gesessen und lecker gegessen... cooles Ambiente bei gehobenen Preisen.

Positive Überraschung im Mediapark. Leckeres, frisches und gut gewürztes Essen, tolles Brot, schönes Ambiente und richtig netter Service. Draußen sitzen war wunderbar die Toilette ist ein Erlebnis. Gern wieder
