we tried the experience menu with 15 different dishes. excellent choice. portion size was perfect.

The delicious food and authentic cuisine should be positively highlighted. We ordered the menu and were very full and largely satisfied, even though it was very expensive for the courses offered. The marketing seems very fancy, the reality is rather average. I would also like to thank the waitresses for the very friendly service. Unfortunately the drinks can't keep up. The bartenders are uncreative and serve completely bland and absolutely overpriced cocktails that only consist of ice. In my opinion, the worst thing is the atmosphere of the hotel or the bar. Everything seems uncharming, the plants are all made of plastic, it is very dark to hide the holes in the bright red lounge sofas and the completely scratched table tops, the audience is questionable. Another drawback: there are not enough toilets, so queues form in front of them.

We have been visiting this restaurant regularly for over 5 years and can only recommend it. We've visited and tried many since then and still end up here again and again. What's special: The staff is highly professional and incredibly lovable. A gastronomic institution lives and stands with the service and we can only emphasize how good and warmly you are served here. We are always warmly welcomed and recognized again and again. The professionals have a sense of the necessary distance but also the right mix of personal closeness. A special thanks to Blen! He is a very committed and passionate waiter. I can only strongly recommend the current management to keep and value the team. Everything depends on the operation. Thank you for many wonderful evenings in your location.

We ordered the experience menu and it was actually a little experience! The service was consistently friendly and attentive, so we felt completely at home. To get to the restaurant, you first pass the bar, where there is additional seating. Later, a DJ played live music to create a great atmosphere. There were two of us and we received appropriately portioned dishes. Since we didn't want to eat meat, we had delicious fish and seafood dishes instead. A mix of different options is not possible as the dishes are prepared individually for the respective number of people. All in all the food was fantastic. We'd love to come back!

Overall, a good dining experience with high-quality ingredients and thoughtful execution. The wild boar siu mai and tartare were excellent—flavorful and well-prepared. The service was also attentive and welcoming. However, as someone familiar with Asian cuisine, some of the fusion elements didn’t quite work for me. The twists on classic dishes were interesting but, in some cases, the original versions would have been better. That said, this is a matter of personal preference, and others may appreciate the creativity more. A solid spot with some standout dishes, but not everything fully resonated with me. Still, worth trying for those who enjoy fusion cuisine!

Hervorragendes Essen, sehr bezaubernder Service. Auch das Sharing Konzept ist gut, einzig beim Hauptgang schade, dass dadurch, dass alle drei Gänge zum Teilen gleichzeitig serviert werden, der letzte Teller kalt war, als man da angekommen ist -das wird den guten Produkten nicht gerecht. Vielleicht könnte man dies versetzt servieren, sofern das in den Ablauf der Küche und den Service passt. Wasser und Wein extrem (zu) hochpreisig. Trotzdem alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Abend - der Nachtisch setzte noch das Pünktchen aufs i!

Overall we had a lovely evening. Personally, it was a bit too loud and too fresh in the restaurant for me. The food tasted good, but not everything impressed me. The fried rice with shrimp was really delicious. Great service and overall a good evening.

We ordered the tasting menu and everything with the exception of 1 dish was salty. Everything used a similar brown sauce that was over salty. Only saving grace was dessert. Additionally I let the server know that I have an allergy to nuts. He still served me shrimp with almonds on top. When I let him know he was adamant that almonds are not nuts. I told him whatever you want to categorize them as, I’ve had a reaction to almonds. He kept the dish there and it took a very long time for me to get a different nut free dish. Overall, I did not enjoy the experience. Other than the ambience (although the room was slightly cold) there’s nothing positive to say about the restaurant.

Wir hatten das Experience-Menü und können es wirklich empfehlen. Ein toller Flug durch die Karte mit fantastischen Gängen, die vom netten Service erklärt werden. Gute Produkte, die sehr schön und geschmackvoll in Szene gesetzt werden.

Kann einige der Bewertungen sowas von nicht nachvollziehen...Das Essen und alles drum herum sensationell. Alles perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt, genau die richtige "Wartezeit" zwischen den Gängen, ein Service von JEDEM einzelnen der Mitarbeiter-sei es an der Bar oder am Tisch während des Essens. Wir waren restlos begeistert und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder :-)

I can't understand some of the reviews...The food and everything about it is sensational. Everything is perfectly coordinated, just the right "waiting time" between courses, service from EVERY single employee - be it at the bar or at the table during the meal. We were completely thrilled and will definitely come back :-)

Interesting mix of french asian food. Given the German food scene I think this is a worth visit ! It's in a hotel, but don't let that push you away. If you love fine dinning and at the same time having lazy noodles on a rainy sunday day , you might connect with this place. They sliced the Tenderloin to share with the foie, etc. and that was a nice touch. We visit 100 restaurants a year. We might visit this one again when we come back to Berlin.

Sehr cooles Lokal! Essen war wirklich sehr gut. Insbesondere möchte ich den Service hervorheben, denn ich hatte schon lange nicht mehr so einen aufmerksamen und sympathischen Kellner. Weiter so, wir kommen sicher wieder.

Die Kellnerin war sehr freundlich und herzlich. Wir haben uns willkommen gefühlt und gut beraten. Immer wieder gerne :)

The food was good (mostly) but the service was poor. We arrived quite late but the waiter did not tell us that the kitchen would close soon. We ordered starters (amazing dim sum) but then we were told we could only order mains from the lunch menu. This consisted of chicken stir fry, fries and club sandwiches. The stir-fry was like something from an Imbiss takeaway. It was unbelievable.

Best Asian food I’ve ever had in my life!!!! For starters we had the beef tartar and sea bass tartar plus the prawn dumpling with fois gras, they were all to die for!! The main course tenderloin with fois gras was impeccable!! Must must try!

I went to Golden Phoenix with friends yesterday, excited to try their sweet duck. While the taste was good initially, the experience quickly took a turn for the worse. About 30 minutes after eating, both my friend and I experienced severe stomach pains. Unfortunately, the discomfort didn’t pass, and we had to cut our evening short, spending the rest of it in the bathroom. I wouldn’t recommend visiting this restaurant given our unpleasant experience. Taste alone doesn’t make up for the aftermath."

Our host and server was great, but the hour wait between appetizers and main courses was a bit too long. There were only two other tables that evening. Perhaps someone called out sick? Nonetheless they did there best!

An experience, food beyond reproach, service very friendly and accommodating. The ambience is a bit unfortunate outside (in the fenced back yard)......Berlin. Inside it's fantastic. All in all, a great restaurant and highly recommended.

Es un lugar fresco para la cena o la noche de citas situado dentro de un hotel, PERO el restaurante y el bar no tiene aire acondicionado. Solo ten cansancio durante los meses de verano más calurosos porque hace calor por dentro y cenar se vuelve irritante dentro de una habitación oscura y calurosa. Durante las estaciones más frías es mucho más agradable. La comida es fusión china moderna. El plato es hermoso y los sabores no son tímidos. El punto de precio es ligeramente más alto, pero la calidad está ahí. Recomendaría el dim sum, sus entrantes fríos y el filete como principal que venía con una generosa afeitada de trufa negra. La carta de vinos es bastante buena, especialmente por la copa y la coctelería es muy hermosa y las bebidas son sofisticadas. El servicio es un poco casual y áspero. Espere gastar alrededor de 50 - 80 euros por persona.

If you like it short, the conclusion is below. Location: At the Hotel Provocateur you will be welcomed at the entrance and led through a chic bar into the stylish guest room with an open kitchen. The dining room is manageably large and has a dignified, pleasant atmosphere. Disadvantage: The bistro-like seating does not match the interior design, is uncomfortable and after a while leads to a wet "butt" through the chair cover. The menu: Manageable, but interesting, as very different ingredients were combined, which makes the menu selection exciting. Unfortunately the map is only in English, which is a bit annoying. Given the Asian concept, I would have liked more typical ingredients such as duck and vegetables. There were two similar beef tenderloin entrees to choose from. The service: Friendly and accomplished. However, as a first-time visitor, I would have expected a little more assistance in choosing dishes and information about the restaurant's concept, especially after I asked for a German menu. The food: Fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked, very tasty and well prepared. The portions were more generous than expected, so the dessert was almost too much. But the baked banana was a successful ending. Conclusion: If you want to experience something special, dine in a cozy atmosphere at a fine dining level and with a pleasant portion size, this is the right place for you. The price is reasonable for this type of experience restaurant.

Apart from the ambience, the restaurant is unfortunately below average at horrendous prices. I had the Crunchy Mango Chicken, simply chicken nugget from McD with sweet and sour sauce, the wine that is sold is available in portions in every supermarket for a maximum of €10 but costs €55 and up there! The waitress was either having a bad day or had a major attitude problem. All in all not recommended, absolute disappointment!

Excellent service, dishes that don't need any seasoning and a wine list that's impressive. The little red stamps in the card with “drunk out” are particularly cute if a wine is no longer in stock. Overall, a very authentic shop that is definitely worth a visit!

Das Essen war handwerklich gut. Leider ist für uns in keinster Weise nachvollziehbar, warum das Restaurant mit der Fusion aus chinesischer und französischer Küche wirbt. Der französische Anteil war nur bedingt ersichtlich. Nur weil Tartar Teil des Menüs war, ist es noch keine Fusion. Wir wurden durch den Michelin Guide auf das Restaurant aufmerksam. Dass es dort aufgeführt wird, erschliesst sich für uns ehrlich gesagt nicht: Essen wie erwähnt gut, aber nach unserer Erfahrung nicht so außergewöhnlich. Wir werden den Besuch nicht wiederholen.

Alles super, sehr lecker und vorallem die Mitarbeiter sind absolut zuvorkommend und nett und sehr ehrlich und herzlich, wir haben uns absolut wohl gefühlt!! Die Portionen sind groß (damit rechnet man eigentlich gar nicht), das Essen ein Genuss. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Unfortunately, it wasn't a great experience. Birthday dinner with company. The menu was planned, but luckily it was too fishy for me. So we started with soup and tartare. The soup was neither sour nor spicy and had the appearance of a Chinese goulash soup with large pieces of vegetables. The tartare (24 E for about 80 g of meat in 4 portions on a piece of biscuit bread each) was certainly good in terms of meat, but you couldn't taste it due to the massive use of sesame oil. A pity. After that I decided not to have any further experiences. Then I gave myself a currywurst to get rid of the dull taste of sesame oil, which stayed with me for longer than I would have liked. Service was good and attentive. Cocktail/Martini was delicious. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to raise the rating. For me it's about the food. Unfortunately there is still some room for improvement.

Top Produkte im Einsatz, aber geschmacklich durch zb. viel zu viel Sesamöl nicht wirklich lecker. Einige Zutaten laut Karte fanden sich dann gar nicht oder nur in homöopathischen Dosierungen wieder und damit hielt sich die Aromenvielfalt dann auch wieder in Grenzen.

I can't say that I often felt like I was eating Chinese food when I was eating the Experience Menu, but that's hard to say. It was very tasty and the restaurant is really nice. The service was super nice, overall a very young team.

The experience menu, non-alcoholic and alcoholic cocktails, service and ambience all deserve full marks. Price-performance is okay, you really get a great evening for the money with a lot of different dishes. If you order a'la carte, I think it will be extremely expensive if you really want to be full 😅.

Duc would definitely let the food go back here. The main course was underground for us. The meat was fried tough, the sauce tasted like it had Nutella in it and the third one was a pudding. It's a blatant cheek to go out with the name of a good restaurateur and quote these prices. Staff responded well, sorry for the gentleman, food was below the level of his service.

Die „Chef“ Kellnerin ist deutlich überfordert. Wir hatten um 21.15 Uhr eine Reservierung, aber die Kellnerin fand es nicht nötig die Gäste an unserem Tisch hinzuweisen, dass wir da sind. Sie ist passiv aggressiv. Als wir nach ca. fast 2 Stunden kein Essen bekommen haben, haben mein Freund und ich uns an der Rezeption im Hotel beschwert, die Kellnerin kam hat uns angeschrien und beleidigt, dass mein Freund respektlos wäre und hat ihm „halt die Fresse“ gebrüllt. Die Kellnerin hat sich später entschuldigt aber leider unseren Abend schon ruiniert. Für so ein teures Restaurant SO behandelt zu werden ist eine Katastrophe. Das Essen schmeckte nicht der Fisch war viel zu versalzen und der Steak hatte kaum geschmack, der Tatar war auch nicht gut. Es war alles sehr schlecht, nie wieder!

Just got back from this restaurant: We had the menu. Very tasty, flavors well developed and an attractive presentation. One star deducted for the good, but not very attentive service. And what was a bit of a shame: the courses are delivered in tranches. Starter, intermediate course, main course and dessert in 4 dishes each on 4 plates. For example, if you ate the first two dishes of the main course, the other two were almost cold. It was explained to us that otherwise the second meeting in the restaurant could not take place. Which can be a bit of a hassle for me as a guest, as long as my food is warm. Deduction for this error in the system. Various plates were also chipped. A no-go for a restaurant in this price range. Nevertheless, all in all a recommendation.

Fantastic chicken breast in mango sauce (slightly spicy), the mango salad was not for me, but very fresh and if you like mango, you will like this. The service, the service like in a 5 star hotel. The open cooking zone is spectacular, the rest is ok. The food is world class.

Ein Geheimtipp für alle, die es ruhig, gemütlich und etwas geheimnisvoll mögen. Stylisches Ambiente mit 1920er Flair und großer erotischer Komponente. Die Jungs hinter der Bar sind aufmerksam und diskret zugleich. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir hatten das Menü was als shared Menü in die Mitte des Tisches kommt und es war hervorragend. Unser Favorit waren die ersten zwei Gänge. Super freundliches Personal und tolles Ambiente. Würden direkt wieder kommen! Auch das Barpersonal sehr nett und kompetent. Haben uns drei super leckere Drinks gemixt die perfekt unseren Geschmack getroffen haben.

Really delicious Chinese food with a modern interpretation. Super nice service in a nice atmosphere. There were three of us and we had a menu with 15 different delicacies, each of them really tasty. The only downer was the reception. The guy there seemed to have no interest in a family with a 12 year old teenager. No friendly welcome, we were first pushed into the blue salon where we were the only ones and had to wait a really long time for service. Apparently families are not welcome at the bar. Doesn't seem to fit the concept. But when we got our table a little late, everything was fine and we had a nice evening.
