The buffet has a very large selection, but unfortunately, it's always been very loud on our visits so far. The quality of the food is okay.

The food was okay, nothing outstanding similar to any other cheap Asian places. There were several dishes with so many tiny flies around it/ in it (pineapple and one of the sushi). However the staff is super rude, we came one and half hour before closing and ask if they still serve us food and got very rude answer to sit where ever we want, later followed by “schei..e”. Didn’t really get why the waiter was so angry, but we quickly ate, didn’t really felt welcome by another member of staff who served drinks.

We ate at the Golden Bay Buffet and were absolutely thrilled! ✨ The selection is huge and there's something for every taste – from hot dishes to fresh, crisp salads. I'd especially like to highlight the sushi 🍣: freshly prepared, beautifully presented, and truly delicious. For a buffet in this price range, the sushi is of a quality you'd normally only find in good specialty restaurants. The hot dishes are also varied, replenished regularly, and everything feels very fresh. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant, the tables are cleanly set, and you immediately feel at home. The staff is friendly, quick, and attentive without being intrusive. The value for money is absolutely spot on here – you get a truly wide variety and very good quality for a fair price. We felt completely at home and will definitely come back. 🌟 Highly recommended, especially for all sushi lovers!

Awesome, anyone who eats here for the first time will be overwhelmed by the selection. That's what happened to us. Sushi, grilled food, a chocolate fountain, and much more. The price is definitely worth it.

Great food always fresh and a huge selection at a reasonable price

The food was very good. Many sushi options. The only downside is the parking situation. You're not allowed to stop or park anywhere in the parking garage, so you drive into the parking garage. It's not that far from the restaurant, though. They also check late at night (€25).

We arrived shortly after 8 p.m. to spend a relaxing evening. The buffet was pretty small, apart from a few leftovers. The food wasn't being refilled. OPENING HOURS 11 p.m.! Okay, we ate leftovers. While we were eating, everyone started cleaning, refilling the dishes, etc. They were wiping the spit guards underneath with dripping wet rags, so that the liquid dripped onto the food underneath. Truly disgusting!!! You didn't feel welcome. But for €25 a meal, we put up with it. Around 9 p.m., we ordered another cocktail and were immediately asked to pay. Then the staff came and started on the rest of the buffet. Some of the lights had already been turned out, but we hadn't even finished our drinks yet. It was simply unbearable. We cannot recommend this restaurant!!!!

Very tasty buffet food. But be careful – don't park in front of the restaurant, otherwise you'll get a ticket (€10). It's better to use the parking garage.

We wanted to go out for a nice meal on our last day of vacation. The restaurant was very nice and clean. The staff were rather unfriendly, and we felt rather unwelcome. Three of the staff members were sitting at the table, annoyed, with headphones in their ears. We ordered small drinks and received large ones (no one listened to us). And then there was a big advertisement for a large evening buffet for almost €25 per person. The only problem was, the buffet was almost empty. This urgently needs to be changed.

The ambiance is fine; everything is very bright and, above all, clean. The quality of the food was also good. We were there for the lunch buffet. Unfortunately, the selection was a bit limited. Parking is free in the nearby Wiro parking garage on Gaffelschonerweg, but you have to use the parking meter. The staff at the Golden Bay are very friendly and accommodating.

Yes, the buffet was quite good and had a large selection. The downside is that you're immediately told how to get in. If you're at the buffet, you have to get a drink each. It's a bit noisy in the restaurant, so it was difficult for me at times. When the sun is shining, it's very warm there, so overall, I'd say it's worth it.

The ambiance is nice and easy to look at. The food is lower-middle-class (unfortunately). Sushi is made fresh, so you can practically watch it. Fresh meat and fish can be seared at a very narrow spot. Three people, and the buffet is directly blocked by the "live cooking." Food: Hollandaise sauce was cold, other prepared foods were also almost cold. The duck was tough, and the breaded pork fillet couldn't even be cut through with a knife. The taste was just fat and sinew. They should probably put arrows on the floor so everyone knows how to behave at a buffet. (It's not really the restaurant's fault.) Perhaps they should rethink the design. We only saw the service briefly at the reception, when ordering drinks, and then they were practically nowhere to be found. A real shame. We won't be visiting again. Visited on a Sunday.

Ich war inzwischen mehrmals in diesem Lokal und kann mich nur wundern, dass einige Kommentatoren das Essen nur als mittelmäßig beurteilt haben. Ich und meine Gäste waren begeistert. Die Preise hatten übrigens ein Niveau, dass sich auch Bürger mit bescheidenem Einkommen noch einen gelegentlichen Restaurantbesuch leisten können. Und hier aufgetauchte Bemerkungen über "Chinesen-Mafia"finde ich wirklich unpassend und rassistisch.

We ended the evening here after a cruise. Great location, fantastic selection of sushi and other delicacies. The food was deliciously presented and tasted just as good. Unfortunately, we live in the Stuttgart area, otherwise we would be regulars.

We went there for dinner today, but didn't reserve a table in advance. Unfortunately, that seemed to be a problem, as we were served rather quickly and didn't feel welcome. Unfortunately, the food didn't impress us either – the sushi was not very tasty and overall unappealing. I ended up just eating the salad. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience – we probably won't be back.

The food was cold, but the drinks were warm. I doubt it was original Coke either. You have to wait forever for meat at the grill, but it's cooked and tough by the time you get there. But if you don't want to pay the fine (€3 per 100 grams), you just eat it. They won't see me again.

Many of the dishes on the buffet are far from Asian cuisine... from the herb baguette to cauliflower with hollandaise sauce to the dessert, jelly, etc.

The favorite food in this place is oysters and shrimp, but as always it runs out before the rest of the food. I don't like the way the waiters sometimes look at you askance. One day I took something from the food to try, but it was not tasty and I left it on the plate, the waiter came and told me that I needed to eat everything from the plate, otherwise I would have to pay for the food that we did not eat plus. In the end, I just wrapped it in a napkin and threw it away. The establishment itself is very large, but there are also always a lot of people wanting to get there, especially in the evenings and on weekends, so if you want to get a table, make a reservation or come exactly when the establishment opens.

Terrible. Get there at 7.30pm. Bad buffet, old food that has been out for a long time, no refills while we were there for about 1 hour. Ate some sushi 6 pieces when the staff / food police reprimand me that you have to eat all the rice. I don't think they want tourists where only one of the staff could speak a little English. Very very good all you can eat restaurant! With Mongolian grill where there is a lot of choice. The warm food is also very varied and always delicious! We really enjoy coming here! The prices are completely ok these days.

Pretty standard buffet with nothing special. The employees are sometimes a little slow with the refills, which is why I came away empty-handed twice for a dish I wanted, but otherwise everything was fine.

The buffet is really delicious, of course food is always a matter of taste, but I have to say... delicious! It is diverse and there is also some “German cuisine”, such as: B. cauliflower and co. in sauce. The ambience is okay and the service is good, although a bit noisy in places with the service trolleys rattling around and the dishes making noises when they are stacked. The tables that have just been emptied are immediately cleaned and made stylish. So all around really good.

We were there on a Saturday evening at 8 p.m. Open until 11pm and there was only a sparse selection of food. 2 types of potato gratin and 2 bowls of croquettes as well as various fried chicken pieces are more reminiscent of a club party in the village than of varied Asian cuisine. The self-service ice cream was full of ice crystals and the fruit for the chocolate fountain included grapes and dry honeydew melon. At €24 per person and €14 for children it was very expensive. And the sushi doesn't rip out either. Unfortunately it was our last visit.

It includes everything apart from the drinks and therefore, in my opinion, a great price-performance ratio, as I really enjoyed the food - sushi, Chinese food, fried food, salad, you can have your meat freshly prepared and then a large selection of desserts including a chocolate fountain 🤩

Staff is okay, not the first cream, main course, there was little choice, not properly fried, just flabby, nothing crispy, the duck wasn't tender, the ice cream was unhigenic, the same dirty water in the portioner ended up in the ice cream, just regrettable

The food itself wasn't presented badly, but there was also lasagna, potato gratin and chicken nuggets. For me, this has nothing to do with Mongolian-Chinese food. It was very, very cold in the dining room and our service employee was unfortunately very taciturn and apparently not quite awake yet. All in all, you can eat there.

Five of us went to Golden Bay for a buffet dinner for my birthday. It was very tasty and very plentiful. The employees quickly take the order and the guests can serve themselves. The drinks have to be paid extra. At the end the robot came with a birthday serenade. Thank you, we'll be happy to come back.

The quality of the dishes varies greatly. The grill is minimally stocked. Many of the dishes are very good, the dessert is on the lower level.

We were there yesterday at 5:40 p.m. and it opens at 5:30 p.m. The food was cold (pasta and duck). The waiter was very unfriendly because my grandson, who was 11 months old, was making a bit of a loud noise, so he came to the table and said he should be quiet... but the other people at the neighboring table We just laughed about the whole thing and shook our heads at the waiter. So very unfriendly staff and not child-friendly.

A large, spacious, tastefully decorated restaurant where you can always find a seat. Three large buffet tables with delicious dishes leave nothing to be desired. In the evening there is also grilled meat and fish from the show kitchen, which you can choose yourself. Ideal for celebrations as there are separate niches for groups.

One of the cleanest all you can eat restaurants I know. The fresh food counter with zander / redfish fillet, black tiger prawns etc., as well as the sushi, which is always freshly prepared by a sushi master, is also appropriate for the slightly higher price. For me personally, Golden Bay is the best Asian restaurant in Rostock! Despite our long journey of over 100 km each time, we have been there several times. For the requested buffet price, the guest receives a very nice, large selection of fresh salads, sushi, soup, various filling side dishes such as rice, noodles, fries, potato gratin, typical warm Asian dishes with chicken, beef, duck, fish, etc., and a live grill -Station (I don't know of a better one) and a wide selection of different desserts are also available (ice cream, chocolate fountain and fruit, pudding, cake and jelly). The ambience is very nice with an indoor and outdoor area near the water. The staff is always very quick and friendly. Everything is clean and very nicely presented and prepared. We can only recommend it. We will be there again very soon, thank you and best regards

The restaurant opens at 5:30 p.m. We were in the restaurant around 5:45 p.m. and it was very crowded. Nevertheless, the service was very friendly and I have never seen such a large, fresh sushi buffet. Unfortunately I can't say much about the normal buffet because it was so crowded that it was very difficult to get there. I can say that the dishes I came across were delicious.

A nice buffet restaurant with a large selection of Asian dishes including sushi, live cooking and dessert with a chocolate fountain. We have visited here several times and have never been disappointed.

Fresh food, buffet very large and always plentiful. The whole team seems well organized. Prices justified.

The meat was horrible. Some of them are still raw or not well filleted. The service was only nice at the beginning and when you wanted something new to drink the waiter just looked at you strangely. After eating I personally felt very sick (threw up). The only nice thing is the interior design and the location by the water.

Large selection of everything your heart desires! We drove home full. 😊 However, the service seemed a bit overwhelmed last night. Our empty plates were almost never cleared away. In terms of the ambience, I found it to be a bit quiet as the rooms are very large and the clattering of dishes from the kitchen could be heard throughout. But overall recommended. There is definitely something for everyone (sushi, hot dishes, Mongolian grill, dessert)!

Choice of food (buffet) plentiful, service quick and polite. Only limited parking spaces are available in front of the restaurant. Otherwise great and a next visit is guaranteed.

The selection is really very good and everything is fresh, whether sushi, freshly fried food or the salads. Unfortunately I have to give deductions in the B grade, because a spontaneous guest joined us who didn't want to eat a buffet, this was only possible with a considerable time delay and afterwards card payment was only possible from 10 euros, which is no longer appropriate for a person a few fried noodles that are on the buffet anyway.

Nice Chinese Mongolian restaurant in the Rostock Wooden Peninsula district. Buffet lovers will find a wide range of options, and the typical a la cart dishes are also served quickly and nicely.

Buffet is fine! There are other restaurants with the same design that have a larger and better quality selection at the same price! Here it is rather "simple" and cost-effective with the highest profit optimization! The question at the beginning whether “cash or card payment” also leaves a questionable aftertaste as to whether all sales are recorded!

Once I was at the lunch buffet with my girlfriend, so my girlfriend took a little more food and the waitress (an old woman) said "it's so much for what you want to pay" with an unfriendly voice! And every minute she checked us with her eyes! We couldn't eat comfortably! All the employees there talk so loudly to each other! We had the worst experiences! Not again!
