Sehr freundliche und zu vorkommendes Personal. Das Essen war lecker und es hat an nichts weiteres gefehlt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Heute habe ich eine der schockierendsten Erfahrungen erlebt, die ich je mit einem Restaurant gemacht habe. Ich bin hingegangen und habe vor der Bestellung ausdrücklich gefragt, ob das Essen halal ist. Der Mitarbeiter hat mir zunächst bestätigt, dass das Essen halal sei. Kurz darauf wurde mir dann plötzlich gesagt, dass ausgerechnet das Mittagsangebot – obwohl es ebenfalls Chicken ist – nicht halal sei. Wie soll das bitte nachvollziehbar sein? Dasselbe Restaurant verkauft Chicken, unterscheidet aber anscheinend zwischen „halal“ und „nicht halal“, je nachdem welches Gericht man bestellt? Das wirft für mich massive Zweifel auf und wirkt extrem widersprüchlich und irreführend. Gerade bei halal geht es nicht um eine Kleinigkeit, sondern um Vertrauen, Transparenz und Ehrlichkeit gegenüber den Kunden. So mit muslimischen Kunden umzugehen, finde ich absolut fahrlässig und respektlos. Wenn man klare Fragen stellt, erwartet man klare und eindeutige Antworten – und nicht Aussagen, die sich kurze Zeit später widersprechen. Nach dieser Erfahrung würde ich niemals in so einem Laden essen. Niemals.

Das Essen war (wie immer) sehr sehr lecker. Guter freundlicher schneller Service. Sowohl draußen als auch drinnen sehr angenehm zu sitzen.

Auf der Rechnung war automatisch ein Trinkgeld enthalten, ohne dass es extra erwähnt wurde. Auch mein Mittagessen wurde mit Trinkgeld berechnet, obwohl mittags kaum Service geboten war. Das Hähnchen war besser als das Lamm, und der Service war gut. Es gibt eine Toilette im Obergeschoss. Das Naan-Brot war etwas hart.

Sehr authentische indische Küche mit starkem Fokus auf Geschmack und Handwerk – kleine Abzüge beim Ambiente. Wir waren im Goa Zone in den Stadthöfen essen und saßen draußen im Innenhof – insgesamt ein sehr positives Erlebnis mit klarer Stärke beim Essen. 🍽️ Essen Die Gerichte sind klassisch indisch, authentisch und geschmacklich hervorragend abgestimmt. • Tandoori Chicken: sichtbar frisch mariniert, gut gegrillt, saftig und nicht übergart – genau so, wie man es erwartet. Positiv: Fleisch und Sauce werden getrennt serviert, wodurch die Röstaromen erhalten bleiben. • Thali: sehr schöne Vielfalt an verschiedenen Currys mit klar unterscheidbaren Geschmacksprofilen. Besonders das Palak (Spinatgericht) war hervorragend – intensiv, cremig, ausgewogen gewürzt. • Naan: nicht fettig, locker, klassisch gelungen. • Mango Lassi: angenehm cremig, nicht überzuckert. Was hier überzeugt: 👉 Kein Einheitsbrei, sondern differenzierte, handwerklich gekochte Saucen 👉 Authentizität statt „Showküche“ oder künstlicher Inszenierung 🤝 Service Der Service war durchweg aufmerksam, freundlich und engagiert. • Gerichte werden erklärt • Empfehlungen werden aktiv gegeben • sehr zugewandt, ohne aufdringlich zu sein 🪑 Ambiente Das Restaurant ist stilvoll eingerichtet, besonders innen mit warmen Farben und stimmiger Atmosphäre. Draußen sitzt man angenehm im Innenhof. Kleine Abzüge gibt es für: • Toilettenbereich: funktional, aber mit sichtbaren Mängeln (z. B. offene Steckdose, kleine Schönheitsfehler bei der Reinigung) • Platzverhältnisse: eher eng, eingeschränkte Barrierefreiheit 💬 Fazit Wer authentische indische Küche mit echtem Geschmack sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Das Goa Zone überzeugt klar über die Küche und den Service – kleinere Schwächen im Detail beim Ambiente trüben den sehr guten Gesamteindruck nur leicht. Empfehlenswert – wir kommen wieder.

Dieses stimmungsvolle Restaurant serviert köstliche Gerichte. Der herzliche Empfang durch den Inhaber und die freundliche Bedienung gehören zu den Gründen, warum wir gerne wiederkommen würden.

Nettes kleines indisches Restaurant, das von außen so aussieht, als ob es nur ein Imbiss sei; das täuscht. Es gibt nicht nur Tische im Erdgeschoss, sondern auch in einer Art Loft. Bei gutem Wetter (Sommer) gibt es wohl auch Tische direkt vor dem Restaurant; das konnte ich aber nicht testen, da es noch zu kalt war. Das Essen ist gut und scheint frisch zu sein, es kommt ziemlich rasch und es wird extra vom Service gefragt, ob man es scharf, weniger scharf oder gar nicht scharf haben möchte. Das finde ich sehr angenehm. Der Service ist freundlich und auch aufmerksam. Eine Empfehlung!

Ein hervorragendes Restaurant mit Spezialitäten aus der indischen Provinz Goa. Geschmackvoll und wunderbar gewürzt. Etwas schwer zu finden, aber sobald man drin ist, ist das vergessen – einfach nur genießen!

Das Essen war furchtbar und hatte absolut nichts mit indischer Küche zu tun. Wir hatten Hühnchen-Biryani, Butterhuhn und Tandoori-Hühnchen bestellt, aber leider schmeckte es überhaupt nicht nach Indien. Ich war sehr enttäuscht, vor allem, weil ich mit Gästen dort war. Außerdem waren die Portionen viel zu klein. Ich kann das Restaurant absolut nicht empfehlen.

Tolles Essen, tolle Atmosphäre, aber schlechte Art, Trinkgelder zu berechnen [ohne mich zu informieren oder zu fragen, wurden sie einfach auf meine Rechnung gesetzt].

Es war so schlecht, dass wir es zweimal probieren mussten. Einmal beim Runterkommen, und dann wieder im Hotel, als meine Frau und ich uns übergeben mussten. Der Kellner rief uns vom Fenster herein, während wir die Speisekarte studierten. Das Restaurant war voll, also nahmen wir an, es sei sehr gut. Wir wurden platziert und unsere Bestellung wurde innerhalb weniger Minuten aufgenommen. Wir dachten, das sei guter Service, merkten aber schnell, dass sie uns nur schnell rein, zum Bezahlen und wieder raus haben wollten. Sie ließen tatsächlich Leute auf der Treppe warten, während sie uns beim Austrinken unserer Getränke anstarrten. Das Essen schmeckte eigentlich ganz okay, wir waren zufrieden, aber ein paar Stunden später waren wir beide sehr, sehr krank. Sie gaben sich auch noch ungefragt 7 € Trinkgeld. Ich würde nie wieder dorthin gehen.

Goa Zone habe ich gerne und regelmäßig besucht, war aber seit über zwei Jahren nicht mehr da. Grund dafür war, dass die Gerichte plötzlich nicht mehr konstant waren. Bis dahin war die Soße vom Butter Chicken sämig, aber dann war sie flüssig. Dann war ein Gericht scharf, obwohl ich komplett mild bestellt habe. Auf Nachfrage wurde mir von der Bedienung gesagt, dass es schon immer so war. Das stimmt nicht, denn bis dahin waren alle Gerichte nicht scharf, wenn ich sie so bestellt habe. Ein Mal habe ich im Sommer leider Chai Tee bestellt und hatte danach Magenprobleme. Karai Paneer, Shahi Paneer und Butter Chicken waren meine Lieblingsgerichte. Ich weiß nicht, wie die Gerichte momentan ausfallen. Es kann sein, dass es sich wieder stabilisiert hat. Echt schade, ich habe gerne dort gegessen oder abgeholt. Andere indische Restaurants sind teilweise zu umständlich zu erreichen und das war das nächste und beste Restaurant:)

Indisch delikat mit gutem Service und reichhaltiger Auswahl. Wir haben uns für ein Zwei Personen Menü entschieden - reichlich und facettenreich. Insgesamt empfehlenswert. Sehr freundlicher Service, Essen wird schnell serviert.

Wenn man in Hamburg auf der Suche nach einem kulinarischen Kurzurlaub nach Goa ist, sollte man schleunigst einen Abstecher ins Goazone machen – ein kleines, aber feines Juwel der indischen Küche, das uns mit Charme, Tempo und Geschmack verzaubert hat. Kaum hatten wir unsere Getränkewünsche ausgesprochen, da standen sie auch schon vor uns – als hätte die Bedienung hellseherische Fähigkeiten oder einen geheimen Getränketeleporter. Zugegeben, vielleicht war das eine glückliche Sternenkonstellation, aber beeindruckt hat es uns allemal. Und auch bis zum Essen fühlte sich die Zeit nicht wie Warten, sondern wie Vorfreude an – ganz ohne nervöses Besteckklappern. Das Essen? Ein Gedicht! Aromatisch, frisch, liebevoll angerichtet – ein Fest für die Sinne. Ob würziges Curry oder fluffiges Naan, hier wird mit Herz gekocht. Das Restaurant selbst ist eher kompakt, aber genau das verleiht ihm diese gemütliche, fast familiäre Atmosphäre. Man fühlt sich willkommen, nicht abgefertigt. Wer also Lust auf indische Küche mit Turbo-Service und Wohlfühlambiente hat, sollte sich Goazone nicht entgehen lassen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder – vielleicht mit einer Stoppuhr, um zu testen, ob die Getränketeleportation ein Dauerfeature ist ;-)

Fantastisches Essen und exzellenter Service! Besonders die Samosas schmecken genauso wie in Indien. Darüber hinaus wird hier auf höchste Hygiene geachtet, was in der Gastronomie besonders wichtig ist. Der Gastraum ist großzügig bemessen. Wenn Sie hier ein Mittag- oder Abendessen planen, können Sie die Details mit dem Personal besprechen und alles entsprechend organisieren. Als Inder sind Sie hier genau richtig, wenn Sie scharfes Essen mögen. Die verwendeten Gewürze sind erstklassig, und Sie können zwischen einer scharfen und einer milden Variante wählen. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder! 😃

Wundern Sie sich also nicht, wenn Sie vorbeigehen; man könnte meinen, das Restaurant hätte im Erdgeschoss wenig Platz, aber es gibt tatsächlich einen Speisesaal im Obergeschoss. Die Portionen sind großzügig, das Personal freundlich und das Essen sehr gut. Ich kann dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen. Die kleinen Extras im Vergleich zu anderen indischen Restaurants, die ich besucht habe: Das Knoblauch-Käse-Naan ist köstlich. Das Curry-Korma hat genau die richtige Schärfe.

Toller Service, hervorragendes Essen, angemessene Preise und eine nette Atmosphäre. Ich bin aufgrund der guten Google Maps-Bewertungen hierhergekommen und bereue es nicht. Wir hatten das Lamm Mittagsspezial, eine tolle Mischung aus Reis und Lammcurry. Perfekt gewürzt. Dazu bestellten wir einen Chai-Eistee, der speziell für uns zubereitet wurde, und ein Mango-Lassi, das genauso gut schmeckt wie in Indien selbst. Ich kann dieses Restaurant sowohl Reisenden/Touristen als auch Einheimischen wie mir wärmstens empfehlen.

Unser Essen war sehr lecker und der Service sehr nett :) Es gibt auch eine große Auswahl an vegetarischen und veganen Gerichten! Ich fand nur teilweise die Tische ein wenig eng aneinander, aber das war auch nicht so schlimm.

Es war an einem Freitagabend sehr viel los, daher war es echt hektisch. Dennoch war die Bedienung aufmerksam und wir mussten nicht zu lange auf unser Essen warten. Das Essen hat allen geschmeckt und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt auch.

Found the place completely by accident, when we were walking the wrong way…. But what luck, because what a wonderful place! The food was fabulous, the service was top notch and the patio was really cozy 😊

We ordered chicken biryani and it came with full of green vegetables including cucumber 😓 which made the biryani taste like a vegetable pulao rather than a biryani🫩 starters were good but over all main courses did not match up to the expectations at all, excluding naan.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, as it's tucked away in a courtyard, but we got a table right away and were greeted warmly by the very friendly staff. The food arrived quickly, and the staff were very attentive and took great care of us. The food was delicious and filling. This restaurant offers excellent value for money! I would definitely recommend this Indian restaurant to anyone visiting Hamburg! We'll be back 😊

The food and service were a dream. As soon as you entered the restaurant, you were overwhelmed by the aromas of spices, and you immediately looked forward to the meal ahead. The service was very, very good; they asked if you needed anything, if you wanted something to drink, and whether the food was tasty. And all of this without being even remotely annoying; you felt very welcome, and you could tell that every employee there was completely committed to the place and the food. We had Chicken Makhani and Chicken Tikka Masala with extra garlic naan, and what can I say? The chicken was very tender, and the flavor of the dishes was unbeatable. The spices were very authentic, and the garlic naan was a dream! Unfortunately, there are no pictures, as the food was gone too quickly. We'd definitely come back on our next trip to Hamburg!

We ordered "Special thali for 2" on recommendation that it easily fills 2 hungry souls. The staff was not lying. There were 3 vegetable dishes, 1 dal portion, raita, 2 pieces gulab jamun, 2 delicious dips, papadams, generous portion of rice and 3 small pieces of naan. Each and every item in the Thali was tasty and flavourful including the dips. Highly recommended. More than sufficient for 2 people. Ordered Mango Lassi separately and it was good too. Large vegetarian selection. Sitting is mostly outdoor. Service is good.

The lunch menu is reasonably priced and tastes really good. It's also nice that they offer a mixed dish. I find it a bit too expensive for dinner, so you probably just have to pay for the location. It's definitely worth it.

Had a lovely dinner here with my partner. Some of the best chicken biryani I have had within Europe so far. Great naans. Really nice mango lassi. Service was also great. We came in a little late but it was not a problem for the waiters or the kitchen. Will definitely come back!

We ordered the Thali for two, extra garlic naan and two mango lassis. I have never had such amazing Indian food outside India. The food was super authentic. The thali had Yellow daal which was like how you would get in a dhaba in Punjab. It had daal makhni which was a 10/10. It had palak paneer, kofta and raita. Every single item from that thali was delicious. We were so glad we had dinner there because we just found it while walking in that area. The lassi and gulab jamun were delicious as well. Would definitely go there again whenever we are in Hamburg.

Very attentive and friendly service; special requests were no problem and were immediately accommodated. The courtyard setting protects you from street noise. The prices are reasonable for the quality and service. We felt very comfortable.

Food excellent, incredibly friendly staff, although our tired children caused a bit of chaos, all the gentlemen were very helpful and friendly. The bar garden in the beautiful courtyard is also very nice for eating outside.

Came to Goa Zone expecting Indian flavors and left wondering if I accidentally ordered “rice with regret.” The chicken biryani was a masterpiece of confusion—more zucchini and capsicum than actual chicken, soaked in enough oil to power a small scooter. Pretty sure the chef just mixed leftover curry into rice and called it a day. The raita? Let’s just say it had a “unique” flavor—like expired yogurt trying to be edgy. No Goan dishes in sight, so the name feels more like a cruel joke. Staff was friendly and service was fast… probably because heating curry and dumping it on rice doesn’t take long. With all the glowing reviews, I thought I’d found a hidden gem. Turns out, the only thing hidden was the actual taste.

Classic Indian cuisine, friendly chef! When I ordered I asked if it could be a little more spicy. The lamb was very tender and the sauce was delicious with lots of spices. It also tasted really good with just the right amount of spiciness. The Garlic Naan was 🙂 Price-performance fits here! Sitting outside in the sun in the courtyard is a dream!

As soon as you entered the restaurant you were overwhelmed by wonderful smells. The food was just as delicious; I think it's quite authentic and absolutely wonderfully seasoned.

Definitely the best place to have Indian food. My favorite is the Chicken Tikka Masala and mango lassi. They are literally the best in the town.

Very tasty Indian food. The staff is also super friendly. The place is quite small and everything is a bit cramped. When it's full, it's quite loud and warm. Overall, absolutely recommended.

Two of us were there on Friday evening. Reservations are highly recommended as all seats were occupied. The staff was very friendly & attentive! Even though it was full, the food was delivered very quickly. The pistachio sauce with chicken was great. I found the cheese naan a bit disappointing, as I usually know it to be fluffier. The Mango Mojito was okay, but didn't completely convince me. Good food & friendly service.

They let us (6 people) in without a reservation despite being overbooked, thank you! The food was very delicious and it wasn't too loud despite being full.

Was there with my Indian friend. Unfortunately the food is not authentic! The Indian fried chicken was Chinese? With soy sauce and sweet and sour? Incredibly tough and just weird. The butter chicken wasn't authentic but was "okay", The naan is tiny for €6. Mango lassi was good so far but also expensive! On the whole unfortunately not authentic and damn damn expensive! Food was at the table after 5 minutes, so maybe it was microwaved?

This used to be my absolute favorite Indian place in Hamburg, and I went there regularly. Unfortunately, the quality has declined significantly in recent years. The meat is now often tough, and the taste of the butter chicken is more reminiscent of curry ketchup - a real shame. Luckily I found a great replacement in the Goa in Hafencity!

We were 3 persons and we spent 75 euros. The portion size was too small. Taste was also not worth the price. Masala tea was just tea bag tea. Prices of everything were too high and not worth the taste.

Fantastic North Indian Cuisine. Their kadai chicken and maharaja kofta are mouth watering along with garlic naan. It was adequate for four of us and taste was authentic. The service is super fast and excellent. We visited this restaurant for dinner for consecutive three days and the taste is still lingering in our tongues. We wish the owner, staff and chefs all the best and keep doing the good work. We look forward to visit you during our next visit to Hamburg.
