The meat in bread with salad and sauce (I will never call it a doner kebab or a rotisserie) tasted really bad; we didn't feel good afterward. (Toilet) The bread was dry, the salad meager (no cucumber or tomato, and some of the cabbage had fatty bits on the edges). The spicy sauce wasn't spicy, and something about the doner kebab was kind of sweet. Especially combined with red cabbage, it was absolutely horrible. The overall quality of the meat was not a doner kebab, but a rotisserie. I didn't expect much and was still disappointed. It reminds me of Bollywood movies or the north of Leipzig. Even Mockau has more charm than this disgusting thing :( I always finish my food, but here I considered throwing half of it away. The fries in my friend's box were also way too hard and unseasoned?? How can you make everything bad? Even the cashier wouldn't give me my change at first, and I had to ask again. Shy people probably wouldn't have said anything in a moment like that.

The man was unfriendly, and the preparation of the durum we ordered was outrageous. The salad tongs were lying in the middle of the salad, and he ate it without even noticing. He scratched his head with his hands and then touched the fresh flatbread as if it were the most unhygienic thing in the world. Never again.

Taste is subjective, but I'm out of this. The bread is so thin, the meat looks like imitation cheese, and the vegetables are absolutely tasteless. The doner tastes way too sweet. Sugar just covers everything, and the masses love it. That's the only way I can explain the ranking of the best doner kebabs in Leipzig.

The food itself was quite okay, However, the staff, in my opinion, were very unfriendly. We had to wait a long time for the food, even though there wasn't a line in front of us. The waiters were only on their phones and barely listened to what we wanted, and the kebab was just slapped down on my table.

I can only speak for the kebabs and kebab boxes, as I don't eat the rest. The selection is considerably larger, though; as soon as you walk in, you're practically overwhelmed by a huge board of food offerings. The owners await their customers with huge piles of salad, no matter what time you arrive. I find this a feature that really stands out compared to most kebab shops. However, the kebabs (or boxes) consist mostly of meat and very fatty sauces, which, incidentally, taste somewhat sweet. Right in the entrance area, you can also try several different flavors of ice cream or have waffles (or crepes?) made. Chilled drinks are also available, but they're anything but cheap. There's plenty of seating in the shop. I found it a bit annoying that there were so many flies constantly flying around you. For a restaurant that serves food—especially meat—it's also a bit unhygienic, in my opinion. There's a restroom available in the back of the shop, but it's very cramped. A TV with a music channel is playing in the background the whole time, and combined with the other everyday background noises, it creates a pleasant background noise. I can't comment on the service – it's a kebab shop, not a restaurant – what kind of service would you expect? The employees stand behind the counter and prepare kebabs, dürüm, etc., let you know when they're ready, and you pick them up. There's no table service.

The restaurant looks good but the food is trash. They give a big amounth tho.

The one star is for the curly fries, which are the best I've ever eaten. The rest just gave us stomach aches and made us vomit. Something seemed to have gone off, and the doner kebab and the dürüm tasted completely sweet. Disgusting. Yes, for the curly fries, but never again!

Definitely one of the best kebabs I've ever eaten. The sauce is so intense, the vegetables so fresh, and the meat so good. Aside from the bathroom, the place is top-notch. The portions are also decent, and you don't end up hungry like you do with other kebabs.

Come on, this is a really weird shop. Their prices are like in the West, and you don't get anything for that. The main thing is the machine in the shop. And diarrhea in my stomach. Since McDonald's is no longer affordable (I often went there with Bierling Flo on the terrace), I thought about getting a kebab, but that doesn't work.

We wanted a takeaway veal pizza for dinner. Unfortunately, we were given the wrong pizza, which we only noticed later. We tried to exchange it that same evening, but they didn't understand our decision and told us it was the right pizza (the description and appearance of the pizza didn't match). When we couldn't agree on a solution, we wanted a kebab instead. We then had to pay for it. It's a shame.

Dürum XXL 830g €9.50 o.O It's definitely not "the best kebab in Leipzig." The meat is quite mediocre, on the poor side, and the Dürum tasted somewhat sweet (perhaps the sauce), which was completely unsuitable. The vegetables are fine, not particularly high quality, but the ratio to meat was rather poor, and for some reason, there were no pickles. And above all, the Dürum was unpleasantly greasy, so much so that even the outer film was already greasy. The greasiest kebab/Dürum I've ever eaten. Conclusion: a typical average kebab, but on the poor side, definitely not a recommendation. The only good thing: it's the only place in the area open after midnight.

I had a vegan dürüm with falafel and sesame sauce. Unfortunately, I could hardly eat it; the sauce was far too sweet and tasted awful overall. There was no hint of sesame, the taste was simply indescribably disgusting. Whether the sugar was supposed to be there or someone made a terrible mistake in the mixing process—I have no idea. Apparently, it wasn't tried. The falafel were also, unfortunately, quite bland. I was able to salvage it somewhat at home with a decent sesame sauce from the Asian market. The man behind the counter was also quite unfriendly, and despite the very nice atmosphere, I didn't feel comfortable. Considering that Globus Döner is so hyped in Leipzig, this was a real disappointment.

Decent Messy when drunk Satisfying Good enough

Highly praised, but correspondingly disappointing. The kebab is sugary sweet, maybe the sauce? I don't know. Being very starving, I felt compelled to avoid it. Overall, the taste wasn't convincing. Otherwise, the atmosphere is good.

We arrived at 11 p.m., but the store was already closed. Annoying!

We just ordered two vegetarian Dürüm from Lieferando – we paid almost €15 for one. The worst part was that the Dürüm wasn't sealed, and the contents fell out completely when we unwrapped the aluminum foil. Unfortunately, that's unacceptable...especially not for the price.

I have no idea how they prepare the salad or the sauces, but it tastes terrible. It seems like they swapped the sugar for the salt. Way too sweet! And carrots have no place in a good kebab. The meat isn't particularly good either. And the bread was already crispbread. Employees completely overwhelmed. No recommendation from me. Too bad!

Ordered there via uber eats, the food came very quickly. The XXL dishes are really sumptuous. Doner and Dürüm are exceptionally delicious and all wishes were taken into account. Would order there again and again.

Globus Döner is absolutely overhyped. If there's nothing left in it, then it's fine, but otherwise it's just not a good kebab. The meat is below average pressed meat. No structure in the meat and due to the lack of quality it is completely over-seasoned in order to disguise it. The sauces are all sweet and have no character. They almost all taste the same. Cabbage also sugared. Overall, you end up with more of a sweet dish than a savory dish. Furthermore, the staff is so unfriendly that you really wonder why they are even standing behind the counter. It's almost laughable to claim that you're the best kebab in Leipzig, even though nothing can convince you in any way in terms of quality. The kebab would be mercilessly torn to pieces in other cities. You buy as cheaply as possible and sell as expensively as possible. Guys, wake up and stop supporting this garbage.

At least 1 employee needs hygiene training. He eats with his hand while preparing food for customers. I would love to enjoy your kebab without feeling disgusted first.

If you order a kebab plate without tomatoes, with fries. You only get meat and no fries. Pay €19+delivery and service fee.... For kebab meat! What's that supposed to mean???????

There is always a lot of crowd at this kebab. Still, it's quick. Staff always friendly. Food was great, kebab box always very full, lots of sauce and everything was fresh. We go there again and again.

Hygienically catastrophic. My Dürüm was made without foil or anything similar. placed on the window sill where an employee who was repairing something on the ceiling was previously standing with his feet on it. When I asked for a new Dürüm, a new one was made for me amid passive-aggressive protest. The quality of the second Dürüm was correspondingly poor. No apology, no accommodation, nothing. Creepy employee. Never again. It's actually a shame, Globus used to be known for quality.

I ordered a vegetarian Dürüm, which was okay although the garlic sauce was somehow too sweet. Mine took a vegetarian kebab and there was meat in the vegetarian kebab, even if it was only on the bottom. It's unfortunate when such a neat looking store makes such a mistake.

If I could I would give zero stars. Globus was always our go to kebab shop. Unfortunately we ordered a kebab and a dürum today... the bread was totally soggy and stale, was definitely a few days old and was only made warm. The salad and everything else in the kebab tasted like it had been stale in the sun. Unfortunately we were totally disappointed. You can't eat this after a bite if you don't want to get gastrointestinal problems. Brutal rip off honestly.

Unfortunately, it's often just quantity instead of quality. I have known Globus Döner for many years and used to go there very often. I was always blown away by the abundance of kebab that you get for a really fair price and the really strong sauces, the bread and meat. The price is still very strong at €7.00 and don't get me wrong - the kebab is still strong! But compared to before, it has unfortunately deteriorated just as much. Today I had bread that was crispy but had virtually no dough filling at all. The bread only consisted of crust (probably flattened in the grill for too long). Unfortunately, the meat is not always crispy and the taste has diminished somewhat. The distribution of meat, sauce and salad varies greatly depending on the staff - a disaster today. Only meat at the bottom, only salad at the top. If I compare this to the meat in the Red Bull Arena, there are definitely differences in taste! The meat there for the kebab box is really strong! The store itself is still very clean, has a great atmosphere and plenty of seating. There weren't many people in the store today, so it couldn't have been due to the high crowds, which are definitely there at peak times! I hope more attention will be paid to quality in the future.

Basically the best kebab shop in Leipzig, it tastes simply amazing - both with and without meat... although the Dürüm was "more filling" until last year... Do they follow the general trend: less for the same price, or more expensive?

Globus Döner was our absolute favorite kebab shop for the past few years. Unfortunately, things have deteriorated considerably. The portions have shrunk, the food suddenly tastes completely different, and all of this no longer justifies the price. The employees are so unfriendly these days. As long-time regulars, we thank you for the way Globus Döner used to be! We certainly won't be going back.

I just ordered a kebab box with the request: WITHOUT FRIES. I got a salad with fries in a box WITHOUT MEAT! Unfortunately, I only noticed it at home (in Liebertwolkwitz) and threw it away in disappointment. Surely that level of care and communication between the cashier and the person who opened the box should be possible. What a shame ☹️

Update 2025: With a new operator, LEZIZ is now worse than Globus Döner I don't like the mass processing and the hygiene also leaves a lot to be desired. I'd rather go to the kebab around the corner, LEZIZ. There is also Börek and vegan rotisserie.

The amount of veal in the XL kebab plate, which I've been buying from Globus Döner every now and then for years, has decreased a lot. But now it's the finale and I'll look elsewhere.

I was just there, standing at the checkout and wasn't even greeted. Instead, the two employees spoke loudly in Arabic. One of them kept picking off pieces of the chicken skewer and putting them in his mouth. Hygiene? There were no gloves for this either, but there were injuries to the fingers. Friendly service was also absent. I actually thought Globus had very high standards...

Incredibly annoyed kebab man - you feel like you have to apologize for ordering - the preparation looked like that too. The ingredients were thrown in carelessly and people didn't really listen. The fries were not seasoned but poured directly from the deep fryer with the oil into the kebab box. Globus kebab used to be really good.

The employee was unfriendly just because I put too many coins into the machine. At least it isn't shown anywhere how much money you threw in. He thinks I want to use it to exchange money. It couldn't be cheaper.

It's deteriorated considerably. The kebabs are almost exclusively salad, and they're also quite poorly constructed.

Employees simply eat in front of the customers, they are rude. The food simply tastes bad and is constantly pale.

Best dürüm in Leipzig. I regularly pre-order and get my food freshly prepared. The special dürüm is absolutely delicious every time. I'll continue to spend my kebab day there!

I order ed on Wolt 3 Kebab and 3 Pommes, I received just 2 Doner and they do not answer the phone! Absolutely no respect

First and last time I was there on this corner. Not all Globus Döner kebabs are created equal... The atmosphere is okay, but the product has to be right, and it wasn't. My dürüm was 90% meat (some of which was still raw) with a hint of vegetables. The staff seemed stressed and weren't particularly friendly to us. I'm really disappointed and will prefer other shops to this one... Although I'm wondering why two Globus Döner kebabs are right next to each other anyway.

Unfortunately it won't be more than a 4+. The flatbread for the kebab was pre-toasted and taken out from under the counter and just put in the toaster again for 1 minute. Result: board hard and not even lukewarm. The meat was also cold, as it had apparently been hanging on the only moderately heated spit for a long time. The other kebab ingredients were okay; not a taste highlight, but edible. Currently (approx. 1 hour after consumption) no stomach problems.

I ate a doner kebab with chicken. The herb sauce was truly one of the worst in town, tasting like mayonnaise with water. My body also had an unusually strong reaction to preservatives, so I strongly suspect the other ingredients weren't of good quality. I also think the doner kebab is too expensive for the quality offered. There are much better options around, and at lower prices. The shop pretends to be a restaurant with an unusually stylish interior, but the flavors don't match at all. The lighting alone is so unpleasant that I would have preferred to order takeout. I wouldn't recommend it.

Nice staff and a pleasant atmosphere, but the food was unfortunately a disaster. I ordered a Globus pizza – veal on a spit and mozzarella. At least, that's what the sign in the shop said. I received a pizza with ground beef and onions. The crust was burnt, and the pizza was so greasy that even the pizza box was soaked in grease. It's a shame, it could be better...

My family and I visited this establishment for the second time and once again encountered an unpleasant man cooking doner kebabs. He is very easy to recognize; he is taller than others, constantly chews gum, and has an arrogant demeanor. He looks at customers in a very unfriendly and judgmental manner, as if they shouldn't just pay for doner kebabs with money. There were only a few customers, and this arrogant man stood there doing nothing, waving a huge spoon to amuse him (this isn't the first time). As we approached the cashier, he cast his arrogant gaze on us and pretended to be busy. When his colleague asked to take our order, he replied that he wouldn't. Of course, we left immediately, as we had already noticed this man's arrogant behavior. There were four of us, and it was a holiday. Due to this behavior, this establishment lost €50 in revenue. In my opinion, this person misconstrues rudeness and arrogance as a character. And the customer service area is clearly not a place for this kind of behavior. But I have to say, the kebab we ate there for the first time was delicious, but luckily it wasn't prepared by that man.

Very nice ambiance. Very friendly staff. It was a bit cold if you wanted to eat in, but the door was open. The food tasted very good.

The meat has been sitting there for hours and is accordingly hard and not juicy. No hello, no goodbye, and the kebabs are carelessly slapped together. Arrogant mass processing, nothing more... what a pity.

The kebab tastes absolutely delicious. I discovered it thanks to the LVZ ranking of the best kebab in Leipzig. It was a well-deserved win.

The doner kebabs are very good and taste great. The sauces, the meat, everything is great. Sometimes they add a bit too much sauce, but that's okay. I've rarely had any problems with the service; sometimes they might not be in the best mood, but everything always goes quickly, and not everyone is always having a good day. I can't really say much about the ambiance, as I usually order takeaway, but when I walk in, everything always looks clean and tidy.

After a long time I decided again to get a kebab for 7€ which is pretty okay, there was a lot more in it but today was the last time, having so little in a kebab for 7€ really disappointed me.

Hmmm...what can I say? I thought I'd already found the best kebab, but I was proven wrong. Late this evening, I quickly ordered a kebab from Globus Döner to take home. I unwrapped it at home, took a bite, and mmmm...wow...YUM! Everything was just right—from the sauce to the salad to the meat. I don't think I've ever eaten a better kebab. And even this late at night, everything still tasted incredibly fresh! I'm incredibly impressed and would gladly give it 5 stars😊.

Fast, clean and friendly service That's my experience at Globus Döner I had a kebab with feta cheese, I found it too creamy. The restaurant is large and spacious, modern and very clean. Not comfortable... All in all a solid 4 stars

In my opinion, Globus Döner is one of the best kebab shops in Leipzig and I always enjoy coming here. The only thing I sometimes miss here is a sweet, mild curry sauce. The herb sauce is outstanding. Really recommended. Was there recently and it was still the same. Very good.

I ordered takeaway here: a pizza Barcelona and a kebab. The pizza was really good – the dough was crispy, the toppings were fresh. However, the salami wasn't entirely convincing. The kebab was okay, but only mediocre in taste, even if the portion was generous. The service was friendly, but seemed a bit distant and uninterested, which spoiled the overall feeling of the visit a bit. More attention would certainly be good here. The opening times are positive.

After always enjoying going to Globus Döner for a long time, yesterday was my last time. The kebab is now only average (at a whopping €7) and the staff...what can I say, you won't find any friendliness or a bit of “joy at work”. There are plenty of other kebabs that are cheaper and where you are treated in a friendly and polite manner. This kebab shop now seems a bit out of touch, but you should always remember: it is and remains a run-of-the-mill kebab shop with above-average prices.

Unfortunately, once again we didn't get what was ordered. Ordered 2 kebab boxes with rice and halloumi and received boxes without halloumi. The service at the checkout was quite unfriendly because we asked where the pen from the EC machine was to sign, but apparently the woman behind the counter was more interesting. It's a shame given the prices, I paid €3 for free and got nothing in return.

Totally full and overloaded even though 80 meters away a Globus kebab employee didn't know what to clean for a long time. Unfortunately, ordering in advance, paying online and song services are only available here.

Unfortunately just a sad reflection from a few years ago. 7€ for what is now at best an average kebab is simply ridiculous. Unfriendly staff, run-of-the-mill ingredients, cheapest meat. As always in Leipzig... success comes, quality goes and you start to fool people. And unfortunately, most of the time it works.

Doner kebab is quite good, just a bit too much salad and thin bread in my opinion. The queues are a bit confusing at peak times, there needs to be a bit better management. But the space, the quality and the taste of the food are pricelessly good🫶🏻

A really good kebab. Absolutely a gourmet kebab. And the whole thing frees you from the greasy, stuffy and yellowed kebab base standard ambience. Everything here is modern, bright and clean. Hats off to those who developed the concept!

So you guys get full marks from me. I have never seen such a stylish kebab restaurant before. Staff on point and very friendly. Of course the food. I had a kebab plate with salad and rice - lots of it and the taste was great, if the meat had been a little warmer it would have been perfect. At the end you could also take some ice cream with you (good selection of flavors). Bottom line: great price/performance ratio! Keep it up 😁👍

Service was very bored and unfriendly. I ordered a mix of dishes and repeated them twice, but still got a standard kebab. The kebab was standard. Nothing special. I won't go back.

I was there on Friday, September 13, 2024, around 10 p.m. I ordered a large doner kebab with sheep's cheese and fries. So far, so good, but what really upset me was the price: €10 for a large doner kebab, where the meat was incredibly tough. It was grilled black, so much so that the filling on one of my teeth flew out. And on top of that, there was very little to no sauce, even though I wanted curry, herbs, and garlic. Then, as for the fries, they were already fried fries that had probably been sitting in the basket for a while and were simply reheated. Overall, the prices were way too high and the service was poor—just catastrophic.

I'm really a fan of Globus Döner, but the shop at Riebeckstrasse 20 doesn't have the same quality as the original one on Oststrasse. The chicken was undercooked, I would say it was 85% done, which can still be dangerous. The service is also not as friendly as in the original store. I don't recommend visiting this Globus Döner, maybe you should only continue shopping on Oststrasse.

-CAUTION- We have been customers of Globus Döner, originally the Oststr. branch, for 5 years. Since then the new one has been available but also often via delivery service from the new Riebeckstr branch. After our 2 children last complained about a stomach ache after their chicken kebab, I thought I would make a visit to the place on my day today, as we usually order there. I think the photos speak for themselves: the chicken meat is cut from the kebab skewer while still white, so a safe temperature of 75-80 degrees is NEVER reached in such a short time. The meat on our children's kebab was also strangely soft, soft, spongy, difficult to chew. I was even there at peak lunch time at 12 p.m., the kebab grill wasn't turned on properly, every 60-120 seconds someone else runs to the chicken kebab and cuts off the undercooked meat. INCREDIBLE! This can only be due to inadequate employee training, very heavy food. Anyone who orders here risks their health. P.S.: If you look closely at the photos you will wonder why the lower part of the veal skewer is so extremely brown, I looked at it, it doesn't come from grilling, so it's not a Maillard reaction but the veal has a different color in the lower part . How can that be?

The taste was good but the pricing policy was a bit unclear. €9.50 for a kebab plate but fries cost €3 extra. Even the normal kebab at €7 is definitely more expensive than in other (sometimes better) shops.

You really can't call it the best kebab in the city, for that price I would like meat that was at least somewhat browned. That was definitely my last visit here.

This is how kebab and dürüm should taste... delicious!
