Very tasty food, portions could have been a bit larger. Unfortunately, we weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink. Very clean, well-equipped restrooms. We'll be back.

I was there for the first time today. The atmosphere in the station building is very nice. Everything was very clean, and the service staff were pleasant and very friendly. The food was delicious and plentiful. The menu has a lot to offer. The restaurant was very busy. We look forward to our next visit.

Anyone entering this restaurant directly at the Nieder-Olm train station might miss the authentic Asian ambiance, but—here comes the but—when the food is served, it's at least secondary. The dishes are of outstanding quality, always freshly prepared, and the taste is almost unbeatable. The service, even at full capacity, leaves nothing to be desired. Absolutely recommended for lovers of Thai cuisine. The menu is complex and very varied, with a slightly higher price tag, but this is entirely reasonable. The selection of drinks basically leaves nothing to be desired. There is ample parking in the immediate vicinity. The only thing I found a bit annoying was the relatively high noise level, which is probably due to the building's construction. Reservations are recommended, even on weekdays.

We arrived at the restaurant shortly before 9:00 p.m. on Saturday evening and received a warm welcome, even though the restaurant closes at 9:30 p.m. The staff were all very friendly, quick, and very good. Even though it was already past 9:30 p.m., we were still asked if we wanted dessert. We didn't feel at all like the place was closing time and we should leave. We found this very friendly and customer-oriented.

The quality of the food has been consistently high for years. We regret to note that the quality of the service is gradually declining. You have to be prepared to spend longer periods with empty glasses. We recently dined at Glais Thai with a group of twelve people. After careful consideration, we decided to leave. It's unfortunate that such excellent quality in this restaurant can't be matched by a service staff member who is only smiling.

The food is very, very delicious and appetizingly presented 💯👍😀 A feast for the eyes 👍 This was my second time at Gleis Thai and I noticed that the service was significantly "suffering" due to one of the servers. The young woman came across as very haughty and arrogant, didn't speak to the guests, and visibly ignored them, even when they called her. Thus, a second round of drinks wasn't possible on this visit. Perhaps the management department should reconsider the staff... It would be a shame if the restaurant were to lose its good reputation.

Very nice ambiance and the food is very good. We were there with a larger group, and everyone was happy with the different dishes. However, we didn't like the service. The younger of the two servers seemed very arrogant; she took our drink order but didn't bring them. The appetizer was served, but the drinks took a while. This was then taken over by the server, who I considered more suitable. We weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink. We paid, tipped, and didn't even hear a "thank you." No smile, pure arrogance and conceit. Despite the good food, I'm considering whether I'll visit Gleis Thai again.

A very solid Thai restaurant, right by the train station in Nieder-Olm. The food there was always excellent. When picking up, the quality was sometimes a bit lower, but still good. It was sometimes very difficult to reach by phone.

The best Thai restaurant we have had so far. We always like to go there from Mainz to eat there. Extremely tasty, authentic, large portions. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. You should always make a reservation because it is always full regardless of the day of the week. Clear recommendation!

The food tastes good. Ate there several times and ordered take away. After 12 months I can say that the quality is constant. Only the prices are a bit high, but the quality and durability are there. Especially since increased costs in the catering industry - therefore completely ok!

All the food on offer is delicious and it is always busy, so make a reservation in advance.

Very tasty and freshly prepared. As an appetizer I had Giew Grob (wonton), which really surprised me. It had a light, subtle buttery taste. Afterwards there was Phad Med-Ma-Muang with duck, cashew nuts, various vegetables and much more. Well seasoned, spicy and always a pleasure. Ordering and collection also works very well - via a side entrance.

Super delicious food, breaded vegetables at their best. I find the ambience objective and helpful. The volume goes like this when it's full. But you're happy to accept that because the food is simply great. The fried glass noodles or the fried vegetables are just great. We like coming here.

The food is fantastic, spicy dishes are actually spicy and not so much oriented towards the European palate. The ingredients are fresh - ambience is okay, a bit noisy when it's busy. The waitresses sometimes get a bit confused.

Tried to order something there today which unfortunately went completely wrong. The Sa-teh Gai skewers were okay in terms of taste, but unfortunately cold due to the inadequate packaging when offered to go. I can't say anything bad about the panäng, but the rice was just missing. An absolute no go for me. I won't order there again because if you get the rice afterwards and are also told that you're sorry, I find it sad to try to fob you off with vegetarian spring rolls as an excuse. Sorry but that is inexcusable.

We have now tried several times to order food for delivery there. The phone rings every time without anyone answering the call. Then I went there, every time the restaurant was open and they just told me that they didn't know why they hadn't heard the phone. Something like that is impossible.

Unfortunately we only got the drinks after the starter. Hardly anyone cared about our drinks.

We have ordered food to be picked up there several times and have always been thrilled. The children liked it too. Now we were there and the food was very tasty and the menu was a little larger than the pick-up menu. I can't say whether the food is authentic, but it is really tasty and recommended. When eating on site, a reservation is also recommended, especially on weekends.

We really enjoy eating at Gleis Thai and pick up food regularly. Any intolerances can be discussed with the staff and they will be taken into account. We really enjoy the food - it's very close to that in Thailand and always gives us a little bit of vacation in our everyday lives! ☺️

The food is drenched in oil when you order a pasta dish. The service takes a long time until someone finally comes. I sat at the table with an empty glass for 15 minutes. The ambience is nicely decorated but the cheap plastic chairs that give you back pain are annoying. Is not recommended.

A very solid restaurant with a good price-performance ratio. Let me start with the ambience. An inconspicuous restaurant at Ingelheim train station, but the inside is cool and very homely. Simple but nice. The service is very courteous, polite, nice and always with a smile. If there are mistakes or misunderstandings, we don't hesitate and correct them straight away or provide something new. The prices of the dishes for what you get are also reasonable. Drink prices are cheap compared to other restaurants. Or appropriate. Let's get to food. Whether curry, fried noodles, fish, meat, everything is good and tasty. Have never been disappointed so far. Are good and tasty standard dishes and well portioned. Taste can be debated or differ. But for example with the starter, fried vegetables, I would pickle the vegetables beforehand or season them, these are very bland, but the dough coating is very crunchy and good.

Gelegentlich fahren wir gerne nach Nieder-Olm raus, da wir "Gleis Thai" als unseren thailändischen Restaurantfavoriten immer wieder genießen. Und an der Bewertung gibt es auch weiterhin nichts abzuändern; volle Punktzahl. Essen hervorragend und Service super freundlich; Ambiente ist ein wenig kühl und bei vollbesetzten Restaurant ist der Geräuschpegel sehr hoch; aber das sind vernachlässigbare Punkte bzw. persönliche Befindlichkeiten. Persönlich würde ich mir noch eine Cocktailkarte/-angebot als Ergänzung der bestehenden Getränkekarte wünschen. Fazit: weiterhin sehr empfehlenswert und man sollte auf jeden Fall reservieren....es ist kein Geheimtip mehr!!!

Sehr gute und angenehme Küche, der grüne Tee war Hi Spitze! Das Personal war sehr höflich und nicht aufdringlich. Alles im allem sehr gut.

Man sollte ab zu mal fragen. Ob alles recht ist sassen oft vor leeren Gläsern. Es war aber kein Hochbetrieb.

Ich war erst skeptisch aber ich muss wirklich sagen das es ich hier eins meiner besten grünen Currys gegessen habe Das Lokal ist super schön eingerichtet und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Als Vorspeise gab es wan tans und zu trinken hatten wir das chang Bier, ein super erfrischendes Bier aus Thailand. Als Hauptspeise hatte ich ein grünes Curry und das war sehr lecker

Great food, but we had to ask 3 times for our check. We finally paid close to an hour later.

Great food. We had an appetizer platter (all fried foods), red curry with chicken, red curry with shrimp and some kind of chicken stir fry in an oyster sauce. All was good until they got busy. We were ready to pay and had to tell 3 separate waiters that we wanted to pay. Literally sat there waiting for 45 minutes. Otherwise, the place is located in old Trainstation Hall and has great ambience.

Ich habe selten so aromatisch, authentisch und toll gegessen. Grosses Lob an die Küche und den Service. Der Laab Salat als Vorspeise war hervorragend, wie alles hier...

Die überwiegend positiven Bewertungen kann ich leider nicht teilen. Das Essen ist für meinen Gaumen maximal durchschnittlich, der Service (bezogen auf meine insgesamt 3 Besuche) nicht gerade aufmerksam und schnell und die Preise für das Gebotene auch in der heutigen Zeit für mich etwas zu hoch angesetzt.

Ein sehr stilvoll eingerichtetes Restaurant im alten Bahnhofsgebäude. Das Essen ist sehr gut und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Die Karte bietet eine Vielzahl an Thailändischen Gerichten, die alle sehr gut abgeschmeckt sind.

Sehr gute Küche. Drei Jahre nach der ersten Rezension immer noch sehr gute und authentische Küche. Hatte die 169 mit Pfeffer und Thai Basilikum. Angenehme Schärfe, die die Gewürze schmecken lässt. Sehr netter Service wie immer.

Immer sehr gutes Essen und toller Service. Aber diesmal haben sie sich noch übertroffen: Wir hatten eine Besucherin dabei, die Gluten nicht verträgt und die Bedienung hat sich trotz bereits vorhandener Allregenliste zur Speisekarte rührend Mühe gegeben und sehr darauf geachtet das wirklich absolut nichts mit Gluten in der Speise war. So einen liebevollen Service habe ich noch nirgends erlebt. Das ist wirklich aussergewöhnlich gut.

Das Essen war lecker und werde bald wieder kommen. Sehr gut und authentisch Thailändische Küche zu geniessen. Sei sorgsam mit der Schärfe wenn nicht gewohnt. Sehr praktisch beim Bahnhof zu sein.

Leckeres Pad Thai! Große Auswahl

Mit meiner Frau war ich hier gut asiatisch essen. Wir haben etwas länger warten müssen, aber das Essen hat entschädigt. Umfangreiche Speisekarte mit vielen landestypischen Spezialitäten. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Gut, dass wir reserviert hatten (7 Personen; Samstagabend); das Restaurant war bis wirklich auf den letzten Stuhl voll besetzt. Das mag auch der Grund für den einzigen Kritikpunkt gewesen sein; die Damen vom Service waren sehr freundlich und bemüht, aber anscheinend durch die vielen Gäste überfordert. So kam es, dass bis zu den einzelnen Bestellaufnahmen immer sehr viel Zeit verging, die Servicekraft immer mal wieder mitten in der Bestellung woanders einspringen mußte und dadurch einiges verloren ging, was dann nochmal geordert werden mußte (oder dass zu wenige Gläser zum Wein gestellt wurden oder Teller für die Vorspeisenplatte etc.). Das Essen (auch da mußte man etwas länger als üblich warten) war dafür sehr lecker (auch in den unterschiedlichen Schärfegraden) und uns fiel insbesondere das frische und sehr knackige Gemüse positiv aus; man hatte das Gefühl, alle Gerichte wurden frisch zubereitete und standen nicht schon stundenlang köchelnd in der Küche; dafür wartet man gerne auch etwas länger. Alle Gerichte (Salate, Suppen, Vorspeisenplatte, einzelne Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte mit Rindfleisch, Schwein, Ente und vegetarisch; Curry- oder Wokgerichte) haben ausnahmslos sehr gut geschmeckt. Auch die kleine Weinauswahl von einem lokalen Weingut konnte überzeugen. Toll wäre es, wenn die Getränkekarte vielleicht noch um ein paar Cocktails ergänzt werden würde. Ambiente modern und stylisch, aber geschmackvoll. Lediglich der Geräuschpegel war sehr laut, verstärkt durch den Steinfußboden, bzw. die Steinwände (an der Decke waren zwar Dämmflächen angebracht, die aber nur bedingt die Lautstärke reduzierten. Fazit: empfehlenswert, aber unbedingt vorher reservieren.
