Nice atmosphere, but the service wasn't good.

Update October 28, 2025: I sent you an email and haven't received a reply. 🤷🏼‍♀️ ——————————————————————————— I've really enjoyed going to Gleis 3 since it opened. Before the pandemic, it was fantastic. The staff was dedicated, they checked in regularly to see if everything was okay, you knew the waiters, and the food was excellent. They regularly had great parties (e.g., Halloween). Unfortunately, all of this has declined significantly since the pandemic, but it was still acceptable. However, what we experienced there yesterday was completely unacceptable. It's understandable that something in a salad might be moldy, but if a customer leaves it untouched, you at least ask if they'd like a new one. Or at least apologize. The waiter didn't seem to care at all. But to then charge us for the salad—that's just ridiculous! Apparently, it wasn't enough that we were already charged for two 0.4l drinks at €4.40 each, even though we could only take one sip because there were wasps swimming in them. The shop can't do anything about the wasps, but to ask, "If I scoop them out, do you still want to drink this?" Seriously? No. And then trying to charge us for the moldy salad on top of that was just the tip of the iceberg yesterday. We've never been disappointed by you before, but yesterday we were. :(

The food was delicious. We had tarte flambée with goat cheese, pinsa (spiced pork), and finger food. The atmosphere is cozy, but a bit dark for my taste. The waitress was very friendly.

We went to a concert at Gleis 3. The atmosphere was great, and the service was very friendly. However, the beer prices during the concert were outrageous! Afterwards, we went to a cheaper bar, where the KöPi was still within the reasonable range!

I went there several times during the stated opening time only to find the store closed.....

Due to the distance, we only come from Ratingen to Grossenbaum once or twice a year, but it's always worth it. Very good value for money, a pleasant location (we always sit outside), and the food is of good quality. We recommend Gleis 3 without reservation. The fact that an MSV flag is flying outside is, of course, the icing on the cake :-)

It could be better; it's okay for watching football and having a beer, as long as football is being shown. Occasional celebrations are quite alright.

The staff at Gleis Drei GmbH were really nice, but the food? A joke! €15 for fried potatoes and two fried eggs served without onions or bacon? That's outrageous! I expected more than boring, deep-fried potatoes.

You might think the best days are over. Sometimes it's really lonely. In the beer garden as well as inside. What a pity.

Great atmosphere. A converted train station. When the weather's nice, you can also sit outside. Service could be a bit faster, but everything was reasonable and friendly. I didn't eat anything, but the rest of the group did. The food looked good, and everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Platform 3 hosted our daughter's wedding reception. All wishes were taken into account to the fullest satisfaction and very courteously. The buffet was excellent, as was the service. Highly recommended for celebrations for any occasion!!!

We celebrated our wedding at Gleis 3 and were really excited. The team organized everything extremely well, were always approachable and our wishes were completely taken into account. Can only warmly recommend this location😊!

I was invited to a wedding at Gleis 3 in Duisburg - but not a classic wedding with white chair covers, speeches and games. Instead, it was a party like a really good birthday: relaxed, loud, danceable - and the location was absolutely perfect for exactly that! The spatial layout was great – enough space to sit, eat and, above all, dance. The food was really tasty, creative and fresh. I would particularly like to highlight the staff: extremely friendly, attentive and always in a good mood - you could really tell that they enjoy their work and make an effort. So if you're planning an unconventional celebration with a party feel, Gleis 3 is the right place for you. The atmosphere is great, the people are great – clear recommendation!

As expected. Matching decorations. I was there for the live music event. Music was offered. Lots of places that are quickly taken at events like this. Good menu, portions sufficient. Staff could make more sales if they came by more often. This is a snapshot, perhaps there were just not enough staff on site that day. Lots of regulars. Food was very good.

Actually it was always nice, the hearty Rhineland is great and we always order it. However, the cocktails are unfortunately variable. Sometimes very good (including the garnish), sometimes so-so (suddenly all the garnish is missing) and, like today, unfortunately without alcohol or so little alcohol that you don't notice it. To make matters worse, there was what appeared to be an old drinks menu at our table. Price difference of 18€-20€ for 3 people... Unfortunately, we then became convinced that we didn't know how it happened and that we couldn't do anything... Then we will organize our 2 week girls' night somewhere else. (After all, a total bill of just under €120-€150) This wasn't our fault, then you don't leave the customer out in the cold!

Location is nice, you feel like you've been transported back 30 years and after this time vortex you wouldn't be surprised if the air was full of cigarette smoke... That's not meant in a negative way, but rather that the atmosphere is very appropriately rustic. Service was good and everyone was very friendly, we felt very comfortable With our Schnitzel Großenbaum (not from the frozen package, then in the deep fryer) with fries, everything was okay (not enough cheese for me personally). Mayo and ketchup in sachets, drinks in larger glasses and here too the price is right.

Food was delicious! 1 x schnitzel and 1 x pits with baked potato. Both were very good and large portions. Also good price-quality ratio. Building and rooms very nice, although we thought the dining area lacked a bit of atmosphere. Lots of table and lots of empty. I think a candlelight on the table would do wonders. But that's the only thing because the service was also super friendly! I say, don't hesitate, just do it! * photo looks a bit messy, but that's not the case

Schnitzel was average, I can do better at home. Service...if someone came then okay. Ambiance... Depending on where you sit, it's good.

Absolutely recommended! Whether with two or more people, platform 3 is a good choice. Pool table and table football in the next room. If you like, you can also watch football broadcasts. Online reservations are always recommended.

Quaint bistro/pub with delicious food and drinks. Salads were fresh and crunchy, espresso was great, the mocktail was beautifully made. Lively, cozy, just right for a nice meeting with friends. But also a good choice on its own.

We were in the restaurant in question and had cocktails which were also very good. What I didn't like at all was I felt like I was in a dog cafe. It felt like there were more dogs than guests. For me, this borders on animal cruelty, taking dogs with you at high volume (football game). What's also not possible is touching the dog bowl first and then not washing your hands and putting the next guest in the food. Absolutely disgusting and a no-go

Yes has a very nice beer garden to relax in and inexpensive food.

Were there for the "Spanish Evening" and the complete success was hardly marred by the strong thunderstorm ⚡⛈️. It's just a shame that the "San Miguel" cerveza was no longer available at a later hour. LG_

The menu could use an update. The same monotony for years. There are only finished products that are heated. It's a shame, a lot more could be done with the location.

The food is always delicious and in addition to the regular menu there are always additional seasonal dishes. Cocktails are great and football is on too. Clear recommendation!

Unfortunately a bit noisy, very narrow seating/tables, even though there were hardly any guests there. Incomprehensible reservation system.

Uncomfortable, service leaves a lot to be desired. Cold atmosphere. Food tasteless/loveless. I can do better at home.

Rustic restaurant with live music.

We had live music from the other side of the bar, which was really nice! The food was also amazing! Really loved the großenbaum schnitzel!

Very pleasant restaurant. Nice audience and nice staff. Food was great. It could have been a little more, but that's how it is today. All in all, nice place. I will definitely be a guest there more often.

Ich war kürzlich das 1. mal im Gleis drei. Sehr nettes Personal, nette Weihnachtsdeko, Essen war sehr lecker und Essenspreise fair und angemessen. Auch die Speisenkarte war gut sortiert und umfangreich, aber nicht überladen. Ich komme gerne wieder :))

Wir hatten eine wundervolle geschlossene Veranstaltung im Gleis drei. Bereits im Vorfeld wurden wir durch das Team um Herrn Kristic bestens unterstützt und beraten. Bei den Vorbereitungen hatte man für all unsere Fragen ein offenes Ohr und beriet uns wirklich erstklassig. Am Veranstaltungstag ging man auf all unsere Wünsche ein, das Serviceteam war hochmotiviert und das Buffet einfach köstlich. Unsere Gäste waren begeistert! Wir können das Gleis drei als Partylocation allen bestens empfehlen. Die Lage, direkt mit Anbindung der öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel (Bus, S-Bahn) und Taxistand trägt zum Gelingen einer Party ebenso bei.

Super Partylocation und tolles Restaurant! Wir hatten eine geschlossene Gesellschaft und unsere Gäste waren begeistert! Das Essen am Buffet war superklasse, die Getränke ebenso. Bereits bei den Vorbereitungen zur Party hat uns das Team um Herrn Kristic bestens beraten und unterstützt. Am Veranstaltungstag lief dann alles reibungslos. Die Location war bestens vorbereitet und sehr sehr schön hergerichtet. Die zentrale Lage (S-Bahn, Bus, Taxi) ermöglichte den Gästen eine einfache Rückreise. ALLES SUPER! Herzlichen Dank!

Wir haben hier einen tollen Abend in geschlossener Gesellschaft verbracht. Das Team hat sich liebevoll und mit vollem Einsatz um etwas über 100 Gäste gekümmert. Von Stress und Hektik nichts zu spüren. Das Essen war super und auch auf Getränke musste nicht lang gewartet werden. Es wurde getanzt und gelacht bis in die frühen Morgenstunden. Sehr Gemütlich auf dem schönen Bahnhofs Vorplatz. Einfache Bänke und Holzbänke aber auch Korbstühle und kleinere Tischen geschützt durch große Sonnenschirmen . Drinnen ist es auch gemütlich. Im Sommer kann man sich mit Freunden treffen und die frischen Gerichte genießen. Gute Getränke Auswahl. Verschiedene Getränkeschorle

Ich war zum ersten mal hier. Das Essen war gut und das Lokal hat was.

Gute Speisen, freundliche Bedienung in lockerer Atmosphäre. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Essen war sehr lecker. Frische Zutaten und ansprechend angerichtet. Der Herr im Service war sehr aufmerksam und nicht aufdringlich. Das Ambiente im vorderen Bereich/ Eingangsbereich des "Gleis 3" ähnelt einer Kultkneipe (Stehtisch mit Barhocker). Im angrenzenden Raum befindet sich der Restaurantbereich. Der Sanitärbereich ist modern und vor allem sauber.

Gemütlicher Platz zum Essen und Trinken. Gutes Essen, lecker und zu einem guten Preis, dazu ein Bier vom Fass, besser geht es nicht.

Jetzt muss ich auch noch einen Stern abziehen, weil auf den Schlagerfest ein Wendler Imitator kommt. Egal was man von seiner Musik hält, aber der Name ist schon zum kotz…. Die Bedienung ist flott und super freundlich. Das Essen kam kalt an den Tisch (Schnitzel) und die Portion ist im Vergleich zu früher erbärmlich klein ( Schnitzel). Wie heißt es noch „ wie fanden sie das Schnitzel? Zufällig zwischen den Pilzen. „ Nein danke, da geh ich zukünftig doch lieber zur Konkurrenz.

Man kann im Sommer wunderbar draußen sitzen. Das Essen ist auch ganz nett. Das Lokal veranstaltet immer wieder verschiedene Events die richtig Spaß machen wie z.B. spanischer Abend. Für Fußballfans gibt es eine große Leinwand

Die Mitarbeiter sind alle freundlich und bemüht. Der Innenraum ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und die Musik ist etwas laut. Zum nett im Biergarten etwas trinken, kann ich das Gleis 3 echt empfehlen. Wer jedoch hunger hat geht lieber rüber zum Dönaladen. Es tut mir sehr Leid, aber das Essen ist wirklich nicht gut. Kann mir nicht vorstellen,dass hier ein gelernter Koch Köchin am Werk ist. Der Wrap trieft und wir peinlich mit 3 Ruccula Blättern serviert. Der Flammkuchen mit Oliven war wirklich bescheiden. Vllt sollte man sich hier auf Pommes und anderes Imbissessen beschränken.

Gleis 3 hat Tradition. Nettes Service Personal und leckere Bier 🍺 chen und Speisen. Erwähnenswert herausragende namhafte Kabarettisten bekannt aus den Mitternachtsspitzen. Echt super Lokation.

Hab meinen Geburtstag im Gleis drei gefeiert war rund um super!

Fürs schnelle Bierchen und nen Burger oder Schnitzel perfekt. Enttäuschend waren wir von den Cocktails: ein Long Islands Ice Tea im Granini-Saft-Glas war dann doch überraschend 😉

Innenbereich leider lieblos zusammengewürfelt (dunkel und coronamäßig alles getrennt-grusel) Ausgastro zu. Long Island Icetea war eher MezzoMix. Der Wrap nicht der Rede wert. Das Lokal hat echt Potenzial (besonders zusammen mit Aussengastro und der Weinstube). War immer gerne da. Bedienung war nett (wir waren aber auch die einzigen Kunden) Anscheinend bekommt der Besitzer kein ausreichendes Personal und investiert nichts mehr oder fürchtet die neue Konkurrenz vom Coupé. Schade, aber so wird das, aus diesem eigentlichen schönen Ort, nichts.

Stimmung pur. Trotzdem ein freundliches, aufmerksames Personal Jederzeit wieder.

Leckere Burger, aufmerksame Bedienung

Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und schnell. Das Essen und die Cocktails waren super lecker. Kann man nur empfehlen.

Wir hatten am 25.11.2022 einen super Abend bei Euch im Gleis. Lecker gegessen, anschließend Kneipen-Olypiade: Billard, Dart, Kickern ... Super Service und Spitzen-Cocktails 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Wir waren von 19:00 bis Ladenschluss da. Danke für einen Klasse Abend 🤗

Tolle Kneipe ,klasse Essen. Hätte mir nur gewünscht ,dass der Mitarbeiter ,der rauchend vor der Tür stand mir Hilfe beim Transport meines Rollators ,die Treppe hoch ,angeboten hätte Statt mir beim Schleppen zu zu gucken. Aber es war ein schöner Abend.

Wir hatten 2x Schnitzel Großenbaum, die sehr lecker waren und kein bisschen ausgetrocknet, eine Cola und einen Tee. Die Mädels sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Es wurde immer wieder mal gefragt ob alles in Ordnung sei oder ob wir noch etwas brauchen/möchten. Als ich zahlen rief wurde ich vorher gefragt ob Bar oder mit Karte. Dieses Restaurant ist wirklich zu empfehlen. Wie kommen bestimmt gerne nochmal wieder. Danke für den schönen Abend 🤗

Das Gleis 3 kann ich nur empfehlen.

Heute wollte ich mal dieses Lokal ausprobieren, weil ein Spanischer Abend angekündigt war. Leider hat mich abgeschreckt, dass man wie Hühner auf der Stange an den langen Tischen sitzen musste und man Wertmarken für den Abend kaufen musste und keine Möglichkeit bestand bar zu zahlen. Ich finde das Wertmarkensystem sehr rückständig und bin unverrichteter Dinge wieder gegangen. Irgendwann werde ich wahrscheinlich dieses Lokal ausprobieren, weil ein Bekannter dies empfiehlt. Allerdings war der erste Eindruck nicht besonders gut.
