Der Gasthof zum Bay ist bei unseren Besuchen im Bayerwald ein absolutes Muss. Das viergängige Sylvestermenu war (wie zu erwarten) köstlich. Die Preise für die durchaus überdurchschnittliche Küche sind mehr als angemessen. Die Besitzer sind sehr freund-lich (man kennt sich mittlerweile). Ein großes Plus ist, dass man sich beim Bay sowohl im Winter in der Stube, als auch im Sommer im idyllischen Innenhof wohlfühlen kann. Wir sind seit ca. vier Jahren regelmäßig im Bay und ein Lob für Küche, Bedienung und Ambiente ist angesagt.

We arrived with 8 people at 1:15 p.m. The restaurant closes at 3:00 p.m. Nevertheless, we were warmly welcomed and tables were set up for us. Top service and friendliness! The sauerbraten had a perfect sauce, not too sour, the meat was buttery soft and could be cut up with a fork. The bread dumpling had a good consistency. The salad dressing was also great! All 8 loved their food. Can only be recommended!!!!!!

We were only here for a visit. The food was or is good, the atmosphere was fine. The service is very nice. To say goodbye there was a choice of Ramazzotti or another schnapps.
