The food was fresh and lovingly prepared, the service was extremely friendly and attentive. The restaurant is small, but cozy and attractively furnished. I can personally recommend it.

I love the ramen here, but was a bit disappointed when, in response to a “please, no spicy” from my companion, hot sauce was spread over their food. And recently I ordered the vegan ramen and got tofu with corn, although the meat ramen is also filled with asparagus, mushrooms, etc. That could be better ;-)

The Sushi is very good, quite pricey though. The inside was too hot, but the atmosphere was delightful.

Expensive and bad. The diameter of the makis was no bigger than a 50 cent coin. The nigiris were 2 centimetres long. And they were not good.

We had the Udon with Beef and the Vegan Ramen. It was super tasty, good portion size. The udon noodles also had a lot of different vegetables in it, carrots, peppers, broccoli, corn, eggplant & zucchini and the delicious sauce made it perfect.

We reserved a table through TheFork for 4:30 p.m. with a 30% discount. We were told on site that the discount was only valid until 4:30 p.m. and that we would not receive any discount. Why does TheFork offer the option of reserving a table at 4:30 p.m. with a 30% discount if the discount is only valid until 4:30 p.m.??? It was also stated in the reservation that the table was reserved for our wedding anniversary. Despite this and despite the fact that we had a 30-minute drive, the lady was not at all understanding and did not see the restaurant's mistake.

A beautifully decorated restaurant where you can also sit outside. There is a very good selection of ramen, bowls, sushi and appetizers. I ordered the Karaage Bowl and the Homemade Lemonade. The karaage bowl was just really delicious. The rice was cooked to perfection, the vegetables were crisp and fresh and the chicken was also very well cooked, juicy and the breading was crispy. And in combination with the teriyaki sauce and the mayo sauce, it harmonizes very well. The homemade lemonade was refreshing, especially in the summer on hot days, the lemonade is very good. The employees were very nice, friendly and accommodating. The price-performance ratio is good. I can only recommend it.

Best ramen I've eaten in DE so far

There's nothing Japanese about ramen in terms of taste. According to the menu, mine had miso in it, but I couldn't taste it. I missed ramen with typical ingredients on the menu. Whatever the reason the restaurant has good reviews, it's definitely not because of the ramen. I liked the location and decoration, the staff was friendly. Update: Went there again, unfortunately the sushi wasn't any better. Sorry, not our restaurant.

Nice Japanese restaurant. The service is very friendly, the menu is extensive. A good selection of starters, sushi and other dishes as well as a selection of homemade lemonades. The tempura was very good, the sushi was ok - everything was priced at the usual level for Hamburg city center. In summer you can also sit outside.

A modern Japanese sushi restaurant with good food. We had a sushi platter for two which tasted really good. Price-wise a bit expensive for what you get. We needed to order another appetizer since we were still hungry. Service was ok, it took them a bit too long to take our order and to pay, but they were friendly and kind. We can only judge the ambience outside. Quit crowded. Overall a solid 4 out of 5

A very authentic Japanese restaurant. As soon as you walk through the door, you leave Hamburg and enter Japan. The staff is very accommodating. The chairs are moved accordingly, everything is very clean and generally the service is very attentive. The food is a 10/10. Whether it was sushi, bowls, desserts, everything was extremely tasty.

2024.05.24: I had a ramen sitting outside in the sun. During weekdays as oart of the lunch menu it costs around 12 euros. Very pleasant service, rather a smaller amount of ramen, but very unique and tasty one, woth chicken on wooden sticks.

It was great! The store looks authentic with great attention to detail. We found the many bonsai trees impressive. The staff is very attentive and accommodating, polite and friendly. We came with motorcycle gear and were still warmly welcomed. You felt really comfortable! The food tasted excellent. The miso ramen tasted intense, the meat was cooked to perfection and the sushi was truly a culinary delight. We would love to come back and tell our friends about it. Keep it up! :)

One Star for Scammy Water Tactics and Questionable Food Quality I recently visited this restaurant, and it left a bitter taste in my mouth—not just because of the food, but because of their underhanded tactics. When we requested tap water, they served it in a glass bottle, which seemed like a nice touch until the bill arrived. They had the audacity to charge us 14 euros for 1.5 liters of water, later claiming it was filtered tap water. Really? We ordered a variety of food and drinks, which were mostly mediocre at best. However, the gyoza stood out for all the wrong reasons. It was clearly frozen and had a distinctly moldy taste. It was as if they'd dug it out from the back of the freezer, where it had been languishing for who knows how long. Out of principle, I can't give more than a single star to a restaurant that resorts to such scammy behavior. There are plenty of Japanese restaurants in Hamburg that offer fresher food and treat their customers with respect. Save your money and your palate—avoid this place. Food is ok, but the service lady is so rude, she refused our Visa&Master card, only accept cash, and even said if no cash only accept German card.Only accept German card?! Never met such rude and stupid payment request! Will never ever go there.

Portions too small, value for money is not right

The lady refused to accept Visa neither master credit cards when she saw we have cash in our wallet! Food is acceptable but the underground restaurant smell rotten! Refusals of credit card is totally unacceptable!

A really nice Japanese ramen and sushi restaurant, the prices are maybe 1-2 € more expensive than elsewhere but I have to say it's really worth it. There were three of us and we ate the ramen and were very enthusiastic, very well prepared with enough side dishes in the ramen and a great taste and we weren't hungry for the rest of the evening. I can only recommend everyone to try it out. The staff was also very friendly and explained a lot to us when we asked.

Sushi: delicious but unfortunately very small with little on it (both rice and fish). Doesn't fill you up. Service: We had to wait a very long time for a table to be assigned and for us to even be noticed, even though there wasn't much going on. But once you got there, the service was very friendly and good.

I never write reviews but Ginza convinced me on many levels. The restaurant itself is small but cozy. The food was very, very good, but what you can notice was the waiter (I think his name is Heidan?). Super friendly and gave very good recommendations. He even took the time to teach us how to eat with chopsticks and there was a little crash course in Japanese on top of that. Overall, the atmosphere was very pleasant and warm. I will definitely eat there again next time I'm in Hamburg.

A smaller, hidden Japanese restaurant, which is located a bit off Mönckebergstrasse. Great and delicious food, with a welcoming atmosphere. The ramen soup and the starters were super fresh and tasted great. The service is always attentive and friendly. Definitely happy to come back.

I have seen various places in the world and I have never met someone as bad as the owner of this place. Yes, we did not receive service at the restaurant, but we were shopping in the next store and my little daughter wanted to use the toilet. We got permission from the employee standing in front of the door to use it, but despite this, a rude man, who I thought was the manager, came and scolded me and my children. This is not nice. Even if you cook the best meal in the world, it is really a shameful and rude behavior.

Went there spontaneously on a Sunday lunchtime and managed to get a spot. The service was extremely courteous and friendly. Had sushi as a starter and ramen as a main course, both absolutely delicious and authentic. If we didn't live at the other end of Germany, we would definitely be there more often.

The frame soup here was really great. Broth very tasty! Sushi is also great. Service was good. The only negative: We were obviously sold bottled tap water as expensive premium water. Nevertheless we would come back.

Small, fine Japanese restaurant with nice staff + good food

Essentially the restaurant stayed within the expected range. The ambience is characterized by the basement location and often appears improvised in detail.

Walked past it yesterday, guided my colleagues here for their lunch break today. I was a bit confused by the two entrances, so I definitely have to check again what's behind the other entrance. :) The selection is large and reads very well, including the lunch menu. I choose the Crunchy Chicken Bowl and the homemade Passion Chia lemonade. Both very tasty. The food has a lot of oomph when it comes to spiciness. At 12:30 on a Friday we were almost alone (in the corner entrance), but it filled up quickly.

Beautiful and authentic Japanese food in a lovely terrace setting - absolutely magic. Some of the best sushi I have eaten outside of Japan.
