We were treated badly from the moment we arrived, The receptionist looked us from head to toe, placed us at a “communal” table and we were treated badly by a young man who I don't know who was from the restaurant, being snobbish and rude. We got up and left. Bad experience.

Nice location - but unfortunately that was almost it. Unfortunately, the waitresses were very inattentive and sometimes almost bitchy. Three of us ordered a truffle pasta - the pasta stuck to the bottom of the plate and the sauce had a light skin. The P*rnstar Martini was delicious - I can highly recommend it, Tiramisu was also super fluffy and delicious.

Nice restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and attentive staff. The food is good, but very expensive – value for money is borderline. Reservations only for 2 hours, and the reception at the door seems a bit strange. Overall, still a good experience.

Very nice and pleasant atmosphere. Fettucine Tartufo, very tasty pasta. there are also delicious cocktails.

The place looks nice at first, but they’ve crammed so many tables and seats together that it feels too close to other customers, which detracts from the dining experience. The loud electro music doesn’t help either; it makes you feel more like you’re at Burger King instead. We felt that the ladies who seat you at the door were extremely snobbish and didn’t make us feel welcome. Overall, I would not recommend this place for special occasions or a date; it might be better suited for a business lunch instead. On a positive note, the food was good, and the interior design is attractive.

1. The usher ran away to "ACCOMPANY" us to the table 2. The reservation fee is such a disgrace. It hasn't affected me personally... but it's not like the GIGI won't fill your tables (after you have to reserve 2 weeks in advance) 3. Tip... We always tip simply because they really work hard. I found the device all the more unsympathetic when it was pushed aside with the selection of 5%-15%. If I now have to calculate how much tip I gave... crazy No thanks after we selected a percentage on the small device. Unlimited prices but a nice atmosphere, but that's about it. We're not coming anymore.

Very small tables in relation to the oversized, large bar or work area. The staff doesn't seem very committed. Very long waiting times, despite low occupancy. You sit in front of the empty plates for a very long time. The food is just average. Unfortunately the wine tasted bland and stale. We are disappointed with the visit.

Very nicely prepared dishes. The starters and desserts impressed us, but unfortunately the pasta looked a little better than it tasted. The ambience is elegant, and the plates also add a nice Italian flair. But the price is definitely a little higher than the Italian restaurant around the corner and a little more appearance than reality when it comes to the food itself. All in all, a nice experience.

Very affected place usher, the waiter was quite nice. But unfortunately the food is below average. There are definitely a dozen better Italians in Munich. It's a shame because the location is still very nice. Hopefully there will be a new tenant soon.

The food was really delicious and the atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant and beautifully designed. However, I don't think the price-performance ratio is entirely justified. The dishes are good, but the prices are, in my opinion, too high. The service was okay overall, but we sometimes had to wait longer and there were moments when you didn't feel 100% welcome.

The food here was incredible, the grilled peach and burrata starter was the highlight for me, and the spice Lee pizza (it's not spicy) was a 10/10. The drinks are also amazing, I recommend a pornstar martini and the ambiance is really cosy and lovely. You definitely need a reservation, but that's quite easy to make online. Will definitely be coming back!

Unfortunately, more appearance than reality - price/performance is definitely not right here. Noodles cold, small portions and staff unfriendly… The decor is nice but we didn't notice much of it in the far corner. There was also a draft on top. Despite all of this, the store is full to the brim - good Insta advertising makes it possible!

The place was fully booked but if you make a reservation you’re sure enough to find a seat. Lovely drinks I must say, the highlight of my meal. Would definitely go back…. Update, I came back to this restaurant maybe 3-4 times but this time it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. Just the jus was too salty but other than that I fairly enjoyed myself. I will give it a 4 star. The service wasn’t the fastest but I understand that it was very busy. I will come back to try other dishes as well.

Unfortunately you can't give 0/5 stars. We reserved a table online and were still told it was full and we should try again an hour later. The gentleman at the reception who allocated the tables was very rude and also became louder. You had the feeling he just didn't want to offer a table. It's a shame and not particularly beneficial for the restaurant's representation!

It was my second visit to GIGI's, unfortunately also my last, because the impressions from the first time were unfortunately only confirmed. I think that's a shame, because the food tastes excellent and the atmosphere is very nice and inviting (except for the toilet, which was unfortunately untidy and very dirty. Unfortunately, I can't turn a blind eye here, especially if you present yourself as superior). I usually don't write reviews if I don't have anything positive to say. But after such an outrageous experience, the likes of which I have never experienced as a guest, I unfortunately feel compelled to do so. Adequate communication and appropriate interaction with the customer would have been desirable. There were problems with the system when I made my reservation, so I called the restaurant directly. There I received a snippy answer, even though I had just politely asked if I could be helped with the reservation. After a short time I received a call back, an apology and an offer to help me with the reservation. On September 6th, a Friday evening at 8 p.m., I came to the restaurant. The receptionist was a blonde girl who didn't exactly show much hospitality. My companion had already arrived and been seated 5 minutes earlier, but I didn't know where exactly. I was seated at a different table (no problem, misunderstandings happen in internal and external communication). Afterwards I was taken to the correct table. Shortly afterwards I asked for another table because it was unbearably hot where we were sitting (directly under the gallery, somewhat separated near the kitchen) and I didn't like the space. When I asked to change tables, I only received the answer that the table upstairs (where I had previously been mistakenly placed) was already taken and there was nothing they could do for me. Although there were still numerous tables for two (inside and outside) available, I didn't want to ask anything further after this snarky answer. Service was generally friendly, except for the moment when I complained that my drink wasn't served as ordered. The mint (Tocco Rosso Aperitivo), which was listed as an ingredient on the menu, was missing. The mint and elderflower syrup were the reason I ordered this drink. If I pay €14.00 for a drink and it is described extravagantly, I expect the order to correspond to the description. A discussion ensued as I thought I had received the wrong drink because the mint was missing. Then when I asked for the mint, I received the answer: "Okay, you want mint? You get mint! No problem!" – then I got my drink back with a single mint leaf. We had to hold back laughter because this reaction was completely inappropriate, like everything else before it. The Tocco Rosso tasted like pure Campari. As was the case the first time, the food was excellent and served quickly. However, since we felt very uncomfortable at GIGI's, we paid after 1 hour and 15 minutes and left the “restaurant”. The receptionist hid with a colleague between the wall next to the pizzaiolo, where it was easy to hide. They chatted without paying attention to customers leaving the restaurant. A greeting or a thank you for the visit would probably have been appropriate. I am aware that the catering industry and any other service-related activity can be very stressful and that you cannot please everyone. But there should still be a bit of empathy in the job you do. With a nicer manner and perhaps a smile from the staff I would never have written this long review. I hope that this letter will not insult or dismiss anyone, but rather that it will perhaps serve as motivation to improve service and friendliness.

I usually don't stay at a restaurant, even if it's bad, but this restaurant is very, very, very racist towards the Arabs, and they can't stand the Arab. From the day he enters the door until he comes out, it's as if they're hostile to him. Lovely waiters, fancy interior, but food is really not good, pizza with bacon was not good and too salty, pasta with seafood sauce tasted like water after calamari -- no additional flavor. Cocktail tasted strange also. If you want to eat something tasty you better look for another place

The restaurant was very elegantly furnished and decorated, nice atmosphere too. Food and drinks were delicious and service staff were also friendly. The booking was for 2hrs only and it was very strict that we have to leave by then 😔

“Stylish in style, but unfortunately not on the plate” Our first visit to GIGI's Trattoria was... let's say, a small style consultation with a gastronomic touch. In May we made a reservation by phone for 9:30 p.m. and arrived on time, armed with two children (4 and 7 years old) and - I thought - fashionably dressed in tapered jeans. But the dashing gentleman “IGOR” had a different opinion. In his eyes, I was wearing sweatpants, and that was a total no-go for him. Although the restaurant was practically empty and we certainly wouldn't have bothered anyone with my "choice of clothing", we were allowed to leave after a short but intensive conversation with Igor and the friendly bouncer (who, by the way, stood up for us!) - without having eaten. but with two hungry children and a nice little anecdote for the next family evening. But I'm being fair and didn't want to rate the restaurant without a real culinary review. So we gave GIGIs Trattoria a second chance in August - this time on the safe side in a chic and fashionable way. The service was friendly, and the dashing Igor was (unfortunately) not there. Now to the food: GIGI's Trattoria would like to be a hotspot for the chic crowd, but the plates are rather mediocre. The pasta was solid, but nothing you couldn't make at home. The risotto was okay, but lacked the polish you'd expect from a restaurant that goes for "classy." Overall, we had the impression that more emphasis was placed on the ambience than on the taste. It's as if the food were an accessory to the outfit - nice to look at, but not really convincing. Our conclusion: GIGI's Trattoria is like a chic suit that unfortunately fits a little too tight. It looks good, but you don't really feel comfortable in it. Even if we were allowed to come in pajamas and flip-flops next time, a third visit would probably be unnecessary. Maybe the GIGIs team should take a trip to Zurich. There are real high-end trattoria experiences there, where not only the ambience is chic, but also what comes on the plate. I can't imagine a better training course! Until then, we prefer places where style and taste actually match.

Amazing all around. Went there for lunch with my girlfriend and she was amazed not only by the delicious food (we ate pizza and the pasta dish) but also by the very beautiful design. Could recommend it for any date you have planned

Yesterday I went to eat here with my partner, the food is good, the guys are very friendly but when it came time to charge me they brought and charged me a bill that was not, and instead of making me pay the difference, they forced me to pay 2 Sometimes the wrong invoice and then mine, saying that in 24-48 hours I would have the re-entry and I am waiting to see if I have to go personally again with the invoice and police or not. The food is good but very expensive for what it is really worth.

They are not friendly at all, extremely rude. I wore biker shorts, and they told me my outfit was inappropriate and that they couldn't serve me. The way they said it was very rude, especially since we went there for lunch, a time when a dress code makes no sense. Above all, humanity is very important, and I definitely do not recommend going to this place with such rude people. Never go there.

We submitted to this restaurant on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 19:08 pm. The waiter received us very badly. We asked about the reservation and we told him that we did not have a reservation. He responded sarcastically, “We are not a Turkish bazaar for you to enter randomly.” We left immediately after that, upset, even though we had come from Zell am See to spend the day in Munich and have lunch in this place. The restaurant. I asked at reception for a table for three people, the waiter said that today there was an elegant dress code and therefore we couldn't eat. Strangely, none of the people sitting at the tables looked more elegant than us. Otherwise it would have been understandable, but it doesn't make any sense. It's a shame, we've eaten here a few times and it was really good, but that wasn't okay. It's a shame you probably won't see us again in the future. :/

Magnificent restaurant tested during our getaway to Munich! I have never had such a good Bellini (a little expensive in fact).... My pasta was refined, excellent! The toilets are original... I recommend

The bar waiters were 10/10, super attentive, super fast making cocktails and super good attitude. However, the dark-haired girl who was at the door helping people sit down... leaves a lot to be desired. We told him we were waiting before other people and he acted like he didn't understand us. In addition to treating us with very little kindness. The food is delicious but for those prices I find it too much. The place is good but it's not worth going there often.

We had made a reservation and stood at the entrance for about 15 minutes, waiting to be asked to sit down. However, all the waiters walked past us, no hello, no asking if we had a reservation, etc. When we were brought to the table it wasn't clean and was sticky. The waitress spoke to us on a first name basis, we didn't know any of the employees there. The service was also very, very bad. We arrived just before 11pm and wanted something to eat. The waiter had just brought a pizza to another table, but we were no longer able to find any food together. It's a shame - a simple salad would have been enough for us and the table in front of us also had food... Well... At least the employee was very nice.

Best Italian Restaurant in Munchen!

Ambiance is really nice. Price/performance unfortunately catastrophe. We ate a beef fillet 160g for €45. Side dishes were more of a decoration. For the price we would have expected more from the fillet. Let's put it this way, we're ok, but we wouldn't go there again.

The young bartender should urgently receive training in dealing with people. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. We actually should have left the location immediately after the bartender's unfriendly action instead of leaving our money there. I think we weren't the desired clientele and that's why we were treated so badly. The young lady tried hard, but she couldn't make up for the behavior of her colleagues. The ambience is really nice but I wouldn't really recommend the place to the "normal foot soldiers". In our opinion the price is also a bit excessive.

Expensive appearance, instead of real enjoyment. Last night we visited Gigi hoping to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine. Unfortunately we were seriously disappointed. The quality of the food had little to nothing to do with real Italian cuisine. The prices in particular were absurdly high - €20 for a starter and €23 for a pizza that was mediocre at best. It seems as if Gigi places more value on appearance than on reality. The ambience and the guests corresponded to the typical Munich pseudo-chic - if you like it, you will feel at home here, but for us it was just annoying. However, I would like to highlight the service positively. The waiters were extremely courteous and friendly, which at least saved the evening somewhat. In complete contrast to the gentleman at reception, who was visibly annoyed and unfriendly. Overall, unfortunately, I can't recommend Gigi, at least not if you value good cuisine.

One of the beautiful new trendy bars in Munich. The food is Munich prices, but without anything close to Italian taste. Sometimes less is more. The cool service was a bit too cool, I couldn't even admit that I had forgotten a dish. I found it terrible that women dressed in Arabic were sent away, DRESCODE?, but a vulgar Russian table that took up the entire terrace loudly and smoking a pipe was tolerated. GiGi is really a very special shop. Beautifully decorated, with some great surprises that are a must see. The food was excellent and very tasteful. Our waiter was also extremely attentive and patient with the six of us, who were a little undecided about our requests and orders. I can absolutely recommend the GiGi. Of course quality has its price, but the dishes - especially the 500g ribeye - were really a poem. I would also particularly like to highlight the coffee, which was as good as in Italy. Beautifully designed restaurant with average overpriced food and haughty service. We went last Sunday with a friend for a lunch, and I was ashamed that I took her there. High end restaurant wanna be with chipped plates and fat finger stains on plates, where the hostess lady is rude and the waiter is waiving you a hand pretending he’s awfully busy in a less than quarter empty restaurant. I asked for a minute to think about what kind of wine I wanted to drink, and neither hostess, nor waiter came back to check on me or offer anything else. We are sorry to disturb you guys with our visit, we won’t do it again!

We are very disappointed with our two visits to Gigi. We had to wait 2 hours for the main course both times and the truffle pasta was a disaster. Totally watery and not edible! The starters were OK. The individual service staff tried their best and were very courteous and polite, but the overall structure of the service was unreasonable. The main course was brought when half of the starter had not yet been eaten, the empty plates were left standing for over 45 minutes and drinks also came sporadically. A disgrace for this high-end price!

I am very disappointed with service. The waiter at reception was completely unfriendly. During the reservation they asked if it was my birthday. For this reason, I asked about compliments from boss and got an answer that currently it is INCONVENIENT AND UNPROFITABLE for restaurants to GIVE A COMPLIMENT. We were completely ignored. My 18th birthday was completely spoiled by this restaurant.

The food is very bland, I had high expectations for this restaurant and it was nothing extraordinary. Very high price for what is offered. They have a very nice place but not the food. They don't even offer a book for children who come, it took more than 10 minutes to serve the table.

Nice decor, food and drinks were OK - way too expensive, quite noisy. Both the bread and my €22 pasta were served in plates where the coating was damaged or even pieces (!) had broken off. With prices like these, you should check whether the dishes are still in order before serving. Instead of an apology, the answer I got from the waitress was a mushy “Yes, next time let me know in advance”. Generally not attentive, friendly service. Too bad.

A little slow on a busy evening, but great waiter. Food was good. Buzzy atmosphere and would return. House primitivo was a great wine.

Unfortunately very disappointing! We had a reservation for 7 p.m., got to the entrance on time, but then had to wait in a long line in front of the entrance for a quarter of an hour until we were very hectically taken to our place. At the entrance we were told that we could stay seated until a maximum of 9 p.m., after which the table had already been given to someone else. Well, no problem for us as we booked a city guide afterwards. But then we had to wait so long for the starter that we only had 30 minutes left to eat it and then a main course. We told the waiter that we were in a hurry with the main course. He then insulted us that we should have said this earlier. On the one hand, the waiters throw people out of the restaurant after 2 hours and on the other hand, the guests have to make sure that they get their food on time!?!? And the sound makes the music! You feel kind of taken care of from start to finish. The price is high, but doesn't do the whole thing justice. Cheap summer truffles are used for the truffle carpacchio and to make it taste like truffles, fragrant truffle oil is drizzled over it. The medium steak that we received at 9pm sharp was so tough it was embarrassing. We paid as soon as we received our food at 9 p.m. and then just quickly choked everything down... well, somehow you imagine a nice evening at an "upscale Italian" differently. A pity! The restaurant would be nice, but unfortunately the service is subpar and the food is not worth the money. Quick money is made here with mass processing. CONCLUSION: If you really want to go to this in-restaurant (for whatever reason?), you should try your luck, but if you value good food and nice service, you should spend your good money in restaurants that are really worth it! We will definitely not be regular guests at Gigis!

5 stars for the atmosphere of a cozy Italian restaurant, to be honest, I expected more, the food was delicious, but due to the very long waiting time, the food no longer seemed so tasty... unfortunately.. We visited on Friday, the waiting time for food was about two hours, since we did not order meat. The pizza with pear and gorgonzola was absolutely ordinary.

The food was fantastic! We ordered the frutti di mare and tiramisu. Unfortunately, they served us the antipasto (olives and parmesan) at the same time as the pasta instead of before. The Lugano wine and drinks were delicious. However, there were some issues with the timing of the food service. The dishes came out at odd intervals, which disrupted our dining experience. The evening ended on an awkward note when the waiter explicitly asked for a tip. We had planned to leave a cash tip, but after that uncomfortable moment, we chose not to leave anything as it felt inappropriate. Overall, while the food and drinks were excellent, the service and timing issues detracted from the experience.
