Fantastic! This was my second time having dinner at Gigi's, and both times it was a wonderful experience – the location, the food, the service, everything was absolutely perfect 🙏👍👍 I'd love to come back again, 10 out of 10 🙏👍

Everything was fine, but from the first course to the second, there was a wait of more than half an hour.

The service was really fast and kind and we loved the atmosphere. When making the reservation, I mentioned that it was a birthday celebration. After dinner, we ordered a dessert to share and the staff kindly brought out a tiramisu with a cake fountain, which was a really thoughtful touch. I assumed it was complimentary since it was for the birthday, but when we got the bill, we noticed that the tiramisu had been charged. It wasn’t a big deal since it was a special occasion, but it would’ve been nice to know in advance that the dessert wasn’t on the house. Otherwise, everything else was lovely, and we had a great time!

Atmosphere: Very nice, chic atmosphere. The only downside: the tables are much too close together. You can barely put your handbag down, as you're practically forced into close proximity with your table neighbors, let alone your winter coat. Food: Very delicious Service: Our waiter was truly attentive and excellent! Would we recommend Gigi? Yes, absolutely.

Gigi's atmosphere is quite nice, but perhaps the tables are extremely close together. I had Rigatoni Arrabbiata which unfortunately had absolutely no spice; it was just Sugo Pomodoro with stracciatella on top. Prices are high, but well, that's probably just Munich.

It was our first time at Gigi's, and I have to say: it's a truly beautiful, stylish, and elegant restaurant! We had made a reservation and even arrived a few minutes early. Unfortunately, we had to wait about 5-10 minutes before a server came to show us to our table. I was about to ask the pizza chef, who was standing right in front of us, if he could get someone, but his response was rather unfriendly. He simply told us to wait. That was the only slight downside to an otherwise very pleasant evening. Our waiter was exceptionally friendly, the food was excellent, and the ambiance was truly impressive. I would definitely come back, as I think that was just a one-off. Nevertheless, I wanted to mention it—not as criticism, but as a suggestion so that the team can perhaps improve their communication in the future.

The waiter who served us, and many of his colleagues, assumed that no one around them spoke or understood Italian. It's ridiculous to complain about guests in another language (one you assume they don't speak). This wasn't just happening at my table, but at most of the tables around me. It gave the restaurant a bad impression. Most of them are a bit snobbish, but as long as you're at least polite, it doesn't bother me. The food was good. Some of the cocktails could be improved.

Top! Delicious, classic Italian food. No fancy dishes, just the best classics: meat, fish, risotto, pasta, and pista. For us as connoisseurs of Italian cuisine, it was a real treat. Great cocktails, perfect wine selection. Service was extremely professional, fast, and friendly. A perfect evening. The only downside was about €100 per person. But: quality and good service come at a price.

We had pizzas for dinner and they were good. The restaurant is large and nice, with a wide but not excessive menu. The music is quite loud, and sometimes it's hard to have a conversation. Good for trying a different concept.

Today my boyfriend and I visited this fancy restaurant and were initially impressed by the beautiful ambiance... unfortunately, that was the only positive. The restaurant is more style than substance. We started with an appetizer, which cost €24 for a tiny portion of stuffed zucchini blossoms (two pieces) with a bit of tomato concassé, which was very disappointing. When we asked the server for olive oil and salt, she didn't understand us, even after we asked several times. She didn't speak German, and apparently, she didn't understand English either. Then the main courses arrived. My boyfriend's pasta was very hard and nowhere near al dente, especially considering the high price. On top of that, the service was abysmal: no spoon, no salt, no oil, no Parmesan, no slice of bread with the sauce—we had to constantly ask for everything. When we asked the server for the bill, she still didn't understand us. The staff are constantly milling around, but they don't serve you properly, especially in such an overpriced establishment. Sorry, but this place is undeservedly hyped! Leaving that much money there is incredibly disappointing. Never again! Even a €1 tip from us was too much. It's outrageous to be exploited like that.

Great place, the waiters are very friendly, and the atmosphere is good. But the moment you walk in, you're already disgusted. The arrogance of the people at reception is beyond belief. I congratulate them on their philosophy of annoying guests every time they enter.

Serving spaghetti instead of tagliolini in an Italian restaurant (without mentioning that the advertised pasta wasn't available) is really bad, but the pasta itself was very tasty. The interior is beautiful, but the furniture (chairs) is stained. Oh well...

I haven't had such a bad experience in a restaurant in a long time. Main points: 1. Almost swallow a piece of glass that was in my drink. The glass wasn't broke, it was INSIDE of my drink. 2. We had a reservation by 18:30 and we got our food by 20:15. The people around us got their food way earlier than us, some people even arrived after us and they were eating desert when our main food arrived. 3. I asked the waiter to pack the rest of my food. He never brought my food back. 4. In the bill the waiter told me that they invited me for my drink because of the glass accident but I still paid for one because they put that I ordered 2 lemonades. So still had to pay for the lemonade with the piece of glass inside. 5. The waiter tried to repair the mistakes with a tiramisu that didn't even taste like tiramisu. Conclusion: It's social media hype. Not worth it.

Unfortunately, so much more show than substance! We went there twice; the food is good, but the burrata has no more than two slices of tomato and costs 19 euros. Tables are limited to two hours, and after 1.5 hours, you're subtly told that it's almost over. The service is mostly friendly, but it's quite expensive, even for Munich, and all in all, you feel like you've been ripped off on the way home.

Today I went to dinner with some friends at this restaurant, and right after we finished, the waiter asked us to leave because other guests were coming. It was already 11:30 p.m., and we had arrived around 10:00 p.m. I've never felt so humiliated. My friends were on vacation, we're decent people, and we've never experienced anything like this—especially not after we'd paid.

We were at Restaurant Gigi and felt completely comfortable and welcome. A very special thank you to Martina, who looked after us with such warmth and attention. She was always friendly, attentive, and always had a beautiful smile on her face, which made the evening even more beautiful! You can feel that she does her job with passion and joy. The food was delicious, the atmosphere pleasant, and the service simply top-notch. We'll definitely be back, thanks in part to Martina! 💛

I had lunch at Gigi Trattoria and I really enjoyed it. Great food, friendly service, and we had a quiet corner where we could have a great conversation.

The ambiance was excellent, really beautifully done. Unfortunately, the service was rather unfriendly – ​​even slightly irritated when ordering without an aperitif. The pasta was tasty, but very small, more like an appetizer. Not appropriate for over €20. Overall, more show than substance, more reminiscent of an Instagram spot. When paying, the only option was to choose a minimum 8% tip – a shame.

While presented beautifully, nothing we tried was particularly spectacular or authentically Italian enough to brag about. More importantly, it is very pricey for what it is. You are definitely paying a premium for the ambiance, not the culinary quality. Verdict: Come here to impress! If your priority is a beautiful, photogenic setting, amazing service, and a memorable, lively vibe for a special occasion, Gigi delivers in spades. Just manage your expectations on the food and prepare your wallet for a significant splurge. It's a wonderful place to be, but not necessarily to eat authentic Italian.

Best Authentic Italian in Munich

Both of our plates were chipped, and one of them had splinters in the food. The oysters arrived 10 minutes after the main course and weren't separated from the shell. The food was okay, but not worth the price. Not fine dining.

Amore Senza Fine - what a beautiful trattoria in Munich... and what wonderfully attentive service! Unfortunately, we arrived without a reservation, but were greeted very warmly and friendly. We were offered a seat at the counter, which was no problem for us – a very nice place for two to chat, drink, and eat. Great menu with appealing dishes. The pizza looked promising, but we opted for parmigiana and fritto misto as our first courses and pasta with truffles as our second courses. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection! Wonderfully attentive service, no matter who served us. We'd love to come back! Keep up the good work and stay the way you are!

We have a lot of food, but it's always in the Café in the afternoon, until it's hot and with the help of Blicken. The only good thing was the Espresso Martini. A restaurant that had "no" butter with beef tartar. Pieces of meat that were up to 2 cm in size. No flavor. Worst beef tartar. The service was also a disaster.

Went here for a Birthday Dinner last night and even though the occasion was communicated during making the reservation, it was not acknowledged by the restaurant at all (which could be expected of a restaurant of this standard). The food was fine, but one of the dishes was already cold when it finally got to the table, the service slow and subpar at best. The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, but overall the value-for-money ratio is not worth it :( too bad as otherwise the location would be quite nice...

We were here last week and had a great evening. The service at the bar was very courteous and attentive. The drinks and food were great. The ambiance was fantastic. Unfortunately, the lady at the reception desk wasn't very helpful because we asked for a table and there weren't any available, even though there were plenty of seats available.

My visit to Gigi was a bitter disappointment. The staff was unfriendly, and we had to wait a very long time each time before we were even served. Twice we ordered water – both times the order was confirmed, but the water never arrived. Only when we asked for the bill was water suddenly brought to us – along with the bill. This kind of service is absolutely unacceptable to me. Friendliness and attentiveness should be a given, especially in a restaurant of this caliber. One thing is clear to me: I will avoid Gigi in Munich in the future.

After hearing so many good things about, we decided to try Gigi on our only night in Munich. An hour after we ordered our main courses, there was still no sign of our food. And what was even funnier was that all the tables that arrived after us got their food before us. We asked our waiter where the food was, and he said it would be coming soon, but after waiting more and more, we decided to pay and leave. The waiters response was “ I apologize, but I guess that's how it was meant to be for you”. Our curiosity and interest for Gigi were met with disappointment by an arrogant and ignorant waiter. Maybe a compensation could've (should've) been done but, "it is what it is".

A nice and luxurious place, but unfortunately we ordered an undercooked potato tray, the pizza was cold, and the pasta was average.

Very poor service! We had to wait over an hour for our order. They even took 20 minutes for our drinks! When we politely asked, the waiter responded rudely and was generally rude. This is unacceptable for these prices!

It's an absolutely fascinating experience to eat here. The quality matches the high prices and doesn't disappoint. The "secret doors" disguised as bookshelves are a real eye-catcher.

We sat upstairs in the gallery with a good view of the restaurant. It's funny that we were seated near the restrooms. The restaurant's restrooms are somewhat hidden—spoiler alert—behind a bookshelf. Every single guest had trouble finding the entrance, which was very funny to watch. I think it's great that you can make reservations online.

Unfortunately, the reception was also disappointing: The waitress didn't even bother to show us a seat inside – even though it was only 7:30 p.m. and there were obviously plenty of seats available. When we asked, they simply said they were all reserved.

We were two people and the bill was very reasonable. We ordered French fries, spaghetti with truffles, a margherita pizza, and a regular salad. All the dishes were finished, thank God 😂❤️ Their style is very nice and their service is excellent. The order is delayed due to the crowds. May God bless them. Well, what can I say?! No question, it's a very nice restaurant. The food is delicious, and the service is also decent. But the prices are extremely overpriced for such small portions.

The restaurant was absolutely wonderful. The food was very delicious and unique, unlike other Italian places I’ve tried. It is a bit pricey, but the quality and large portion sizes make it worth it. Everything was excellent in terms of taste and service. The only downside was that we sat inside and it was quite hot since the air conditioning wasn’t on. Other than that, it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend it.

We arrived just as it opened on a Monday so it was quiet and calm. We’d walked past on the Sunday as we‘re staying in the area and it was busy and had an excellent atmosphere. The staff were friendly, helpful and fun, and the food and drinks were excellent! We ordered more than we needed so the staff gave us a pizza box to take away our pizza. Portion sizes are large but delicious!

Gigi Trattoria has such a gorgeous vibe — definitely one of the prettiest spots in Munich. Not too many gluten-free options, but they happily made one of the antipasti gf for me, and the meat/fish mains were delicious. Great food, beautiful space, and super worth a visit.

We came here on the recommendation of friends. The ambiance is elegant and inviting. The service was good, although I personally found it a bit too sales-oriented at times. The food is delicious, the pasta very good, the pizza average. However, given the very small portions and the taste, the value for money isn't right for me.

Honestly: At first, I thought it was "overrated" and "a hyped-up place." The reception was in English, and the bar area was full of influencer-type boys and girls. After arriving at my table through the charming, lovingly decorated restaurant, an attentive waiter came over. After some lively bar conversation and a nightcap on the house, the evening was rounded off with a personal farewell from director Baptiste 🙏 Thanks to online booking and private rooms, Gigi is also ideal for spontaneous visits and groups. We'd go back anytime!

A wonderful and distinctive restaurant in all its details. It is a spacious place with indoor and outdoor seating, and rooms for parties or business. The dishes are delicious and the staff are nice.

Pasta is top-notch and absolutely authentic, not those Germanized dishes from your standard Italian restaurant around the corner. Service is top-notch as always. One point deducted because the water, unfortunately, isn't priced at Italian prices, and I wouldn't pay €5 for Lugana at the supermarket (I visited three Lugana wineries a week ago and I can still taste the taste).
