A fantastic experience, a beautiful location with a view of the water, covered seating on the terrace, very friendly and attentive service, you immediately feel at home. Prices are slightly higher but worth every cent, truly delicious, I can recommend the turkey schnitzel, and there was a small welcome gift from the chef. Even though it's a bit farther away, we'll definitely be back.

I found it very tastefully decorated. The service was very friendly. The food was very tasty. A small criticism was gratefully received.

We stumbled into this restaurant purely by chance, as it had started to drizzle. It's comfortably furnished, and there's plenty of outdoor seating. Then, with our delicious, ice-cold wheat beer, we got hungry and ordered a pinsa (snack-style pasta). It was served with two plates, already shared with two pieces of cutlery. These days, the attentiveness of the waiters is something to be commended, as it's certainly not something you can take for granted anymore. On top of that, it was delicious. I'm from the Tübingen area, but I've made a firm commitment to visit this lovely restaurant again. Thanks for the great service!

Highly recommended! I've been here several times with my girlfriend. I'm writing this review after my seventh visit. The manager and the staff are very commendable and friendly. I won't even start on the food. Excellent, we'll be back again and again.

I can only agree with the positive reviews. The customer is the focus here. Great Southeast Asian ambiance, with palm trees, olive trees, and beautiful parasols. We visited this lovely restaurant twice in a row. The first time we were celebrating a birthday, and the second time we wanted to enjoy the same atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. We were also given a very warm welcome the second time and even welcomed with a drink. The staff went out of their way to make us feel very comfortable and to ensure that we all enjoyed the food. The southern flair and the beautiful view of the Neckar River were simply fantastic! We would gladly return!

Das Restaurant liegt wunderschön am Neckarufer und bietet eine große Terrasse. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und hat sich gekonnt um uns gekümmert, als wir mit einer 87-jährigen Verwandten ihren Geburtstag bei 33 Grad im Schatten gefeiert haben. Die Speisekarte ist abwechslungsreich, mein Favorit war definitiv die Pinta. Die Getränkeauswahl ist ebenfalls toll. Es war so schön, dass wir am nächsten Tag gleich noch einmal hingegangen sind.

We stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant by chance yesterday. We were absolutely thrilled with the location, the selection of dishes, and the service. The chef even treated us to a delicious watermelon with feta cheese, given the hot weather. All in all, it's a place where you can feel at home, and it gives you a little bit of a vacation feeling, sitting right on the Neckar River. We'll be coming here more often from now on 🥰😎

The menu wasn't very varied. Not a single plant-based/vegan dish. It's a shame that in 2025 they still haven't managed to offer a few plant-based dishes. Especially in summer, you don't always want to eat meat, but rather something lighter. The service was very stressed and unfortunately didn't accommodate our requests. (Perhaps due to the staffing situation that day.) The outdoor area looked quite nice, and most of the seating was in the shade. I don't know what the situation is like on other days. We didn't feel comfortable at all and unfortunately can't recommend the restaurant...

The service was a complete disaster! We wanted to celebrate a birthday here and, at our request, discussed everything personally with an on-site employee the day before. Right at the beginning, we explicitly pointed out that two of our guests were vegan and asked if that would be a problem. We were assured several times that the chef could easily accommodate our needs and that vegan dishes were of course possible. They also said that they were flexible and happy to accommodate individual requests. Then, on the day of the party, we were disappointed: Our guests wanted to ask what vegan alternatives were available, but the answer was surprisingly clear: only what was listed on the menu was available – special requests were excluded. This made it clear: two of our guests wouldn't have been able to eat there. When we asked the employee why he had assured us this yesterday, he suddenly didn't want to know anything more and simply walked away (but he didn't deny it either). No apology, nothing!!!! We then decided to leave the restaurant and spontaneously continue the celebration elsewhere. Particularly annoying: The website lists a completely different menu (even one with a vegan dish), and they even explicitly advertise flexibility regarding requests. Overall, a very disappointing and frustrating experience. We specifically sought out a meeting in advance, attended in person (!), and were promised something that was then completely ignored on the day itself. That's not how you treat guests – especially not when you promise them the opposite beforehand. They'll never see us again!

We were here for the first time today. I celebrated my birthday here. We had a Groupon voucher. All the staff were incredibly nice, very friendly, and very competent 👍🏻. They fulfilled all our wishes. The food is very, very good, both in terms of taste and price; I can only recommend it. The portions are very generous. We celebrated our wedding at GiG. Everything was very fair and professional from the very beginning. All our wishes were considered and implemented. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The venue is perfectly located directly on the Neckar River, which makes it very special. We highly recommend GiG. We lacked nothing and would celebrate there again anytime.

The GiG has a great location, excellent food, and very fair prices! But the best part is the fantastic, friendly, and always courteous staff! It's perfect for events like weddings, birthdays, baptisms, etc. We've always been completely satisfied :)

We received a warm welcome yesterday from the owner and his team. The location is beautiful in the countryside, by the water, the birds are chirping. The food was very tasty, regardless of whether it was vegetarian or meat 😁😄😍 We recommend the location with the absolute best of our knowledge and belief. From time to time there are also barbecue parties and special events. There are enough parking spaces available free of charge. This was definitely not our first and last visit 😁😏

We were at GiG for the first time today. We ate incredibly well and were warmly welcomed. The service was 1a. The portions are such that you fill up well. I had schnitzel with spaetzle and sauce. This was really homemade and very tasty. My friend had sea bream with zoodels in an incredibly delicious tomato sauce. Previously we had a perfect bruschetta. We'll be back :)

Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is simply not right. Small roast + wrong cooking level and salad floats in water. For the (too high) price, I can get significantly better roasts in the area. Service was nice though.

Great service A real insider tip for Ludwigsburg

We called to make a reservation, there were seats available, and just before we could say our name we were quickly asked if we had any vouchers. When we mentioned the Schlemmerblock, he said that we were allowed to come, but that we couldn't/were not allowed to redeem the block. It is explicitly stated on the gourmet note that you are not allowed to ask about it and the owner didn't stick to it. Incredible. It's a shame, then the owner shouldn't take part in such actions if he doesn't follow the rules.

Mega, I've never been so impressed with a restaurant. The interior is very nice, but the service leaves nothing to be desired! Starting with the aperitif (super delicious cocktail) through a wonderful greeting from the kitchen to bridge the waiting time for the main course, fresh baguette & the most delicious olive oil for dipping and a bowl of great couscous was simply a feast for the eyes. The salad was anything but ordinary with croutons, walnuts, green apple, orange and pear and was a real delight. My main course was an onion roast, which was very, very good, very tender and with a wonderful sauce and lots of onions and great fried potatoes, and there was even a fried Maultaschen - pure enjoyment! As the name suggests, it definitely does what it promises! Here the guest is really treated like a king! If you want to treat yourself to something nice - you have to come here! Top location, we'll definitely be back! We were lucky enough to get to know the boss, a very interesting, extremely polite young man who is also very entertaining! A really successful evening, for which we would like to thank you very much, because here you learn what hospitality means! Absolutely recommended!

It's been a while since our visit (October 12th), I've been thinking for a long time about whether I should write a review or not. Unfortunately, a few things went wrong right from the start. We (2 people) were given a table in the next room, followed by another group of two: at the table next to us and 2 tables near the bar. Drink order: first table near the bar, then the table next to us. The first table already had the appetizer but we didn't even place our drink order yet. When the other table near the bar ordered (the third table that came after us) we said something - at that point there was a wait of over 40 minutes (ONLY for the drink order!) - unbearable. The table next to us also thought so, as they didn't know that we hadn't ordered yet. Then came a fake beer. A large, naturally cloudy cellar beer was ordered, the waitress came with a Hochdorfer (naturally cloudy) Radler (small!)... At that point we were already extremely irritated and would have left if it hadn't been for a voucher that we had already paid for. For dinner I had a steak with a pepper crust - I couldn't detect any pepper on it. I didn't complain about that, we didn't want to wait any longer. But the taste was really very good, as was the salad. At the end you get a bill with a meal and drinks - but both meals were covered by the voucher (already presented), so the next complaint... The food is the only reason for the second star, the waiting time and the service are the reason for the low and therefore bad rating. We will try it again just because of the food and then adjust the rating if necessary.

We went with the voucher book, were warmly welcomed, outstanding service, nice boss, great ambience, delicious food. Despite there being a celebration in the next room, we received our food immediately. At the beginning there was a greeting from the kitchen. And because our starter salad (which was garnished with apple and peach slices) only came after the main course (which we didn't think was a bad thing at all), the boss gave us an “Affogato al Crumble” for dessert on the house. Definitely not recommended for allergy sufferers and people on a vegan diet. People with other diets are not taken seriously here. On July 6th, 2024, I ordered Pasta Aglio Olio, which the waitress said was vegan when asked. I also ordered a salad, for which I added a vegan cheese alternative to the kitchen, as the restaurant doesn't offer anything similar. And will never be offered. - Offered to the waitress that she could try the cheese, her only reaction was that she preferred meat... - Well, there was Parmesan on the pasta. I pointed this out to the waitress and she took the plate away. She came back with the same pasta, only with as much of the parmesan removed as possible. Since I don't like throwing food away, I accepted it that way. The waitress should have agreed this with me beforehand. The pasta was also a bit too cooked and therefore slightly lumpy. By the way, there was yogurt dressing on the salad instead of vinegar/oil - I just didn't say anything more about that... An allergy sufferer also ordered the waffle only with banana for dessert, with the note that all other fruit should be left out because she is an allergy sufferer. Well, there were various types of fruit on the waffle... At least a fresh waffle was delivered blank. The staff here definitely needs to be more sensitive and take their guests seriously. Training is urgently needed here. I'm actually only referring to one waitress, I can't judge the other staff, except that they were all nice. My mood was dampened but the other guests at the table were happy, hence a benevolent 3 stars.

A feeling like you're on vacation. Very good food. Friendly service. We love going out to eat after the outdoor pool. Small dishes/salads are also delicious. Children's chair available. Unfortunately, toilets cannot be reached by stairs and are not accessible for people with wheelchairs.
