The trip from Darmstadt was totally worth it. We were welcomed very nicely. The service was really super nice and attentive. From videos on YouTube we had really high expectations when it came to the taste and quality of the meat and we weren't disappointed at all! The food simply made you happy and it also bought you a nice event because you could share the plate with friends. The four of us ordered the plate for €145 and still had a lot left to pack. The quantity was absolutely sufficient! It's also worth mentioning how good the fries and mac 'n cheese were. The owner Robert is also such a nice person who runs his restaurant with heart and enjoys talking to his guests. Very happy again!

Never had such good brisket in DE. Salads were great, meat was great, only the ribs were a little underseasoned. Dips are great too. Service always helpful and available immediately. Nothing works here without a reservation. Ambience good, tables are a bit crowded. Always my pleasure :)

We had dinner with the family at Guller's. I can't understand some of the bad reviews. The food wasn't cold, but rather warm enough. Of course, if you need an hour to eat, it's your own fault. The conditions were very friendly and accommodating. The style of the restaurant is based on American diner. You should actually know that beforehand. All in all we were very satisfied. The meat was delicious. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether it lives up to the hype. We would definitely do it again.

We drove an extra 160 km to test whether the hype was really justified. The conditions were very friendly and the food was really good, only the pulled pork and spare rib were a bit dry, which I found really unfortunate. The rest was really very good and the sauces were also really tasty. We would go back if we were nearby, but we wouldn't do another 160km there. One last point of criticism - the video said that dogs are no longer allowed in the restaurant, which isn't entirely true. I love animals, but if you say they aren't allowed in, you should stick to it.

The food was super good and the staff was friendly but after 90 minutes the waiter comes and says you have to pay and leave. Gives you the feeling of mass processing.

We all ordered the BBQ platter for one person. Pulled pork was still in very coarse pieces and over salted. The smoked sausage wasn't my thing but that may be a matter of taste. Mac n cheese was wonderful. Unfortunately, my brisket was just a dried out piece of brisket with almost nothing but crust. Ribs were good and had a lot of meat on them. The main problem however - Almost everything was cold. All in all, I was very disappointed - maybe my expectations were just too high. As far as the service was concerned, we were unlucky enough to get the unfriendly guy from Lahr. Maybe we would have given the whole thing a second chance, but when you're served with such a lack of enthusiasm, you don't feel like it anymore. All in all, good quality, but poorly delivered.

We drove over 100km to try Guller in Lahr and what can I say? It was 100% worth it! If you're looking for a real smoker experience where meat isn't just served but celebrated, this is the place. Right from the start you notice the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that makes you feel welcome. We opted for the “platter with everything” so we could try out the entire menu – and that was definitely the right decision. Every single bite was a highlight. The brisket was tender and literally melted in your mouth, as it should when cooked to perfection. The ribs? An absolute dream! Juicy, full of flavor and with a glaze that simply makes your mouth happy. The coleslaw also deserves a compliment – ​​crisp, fresh and just the right accompaniment to complement the heavy meat dishes. The homemade sausages were also a delight, nicely seasoned and fried to perfection. But the biggest surprise of the evening was definitely the bread pudding - we wouldn't have expected something like that in a BBQ restaurant. The pudding was so good that we immediately asked for the recipe and were even allowed to take it home. It was a perfect ending to an already perfect meal. You can just tell that the Guller cooks and grills with passion. The quality of the meat is outstanding, the preparation is precise and the taste is simply unbeatable. Barbecue is not only served here, it is lived - a place that is unparalleled in Germany. Conclusion: In terms of meat, it's a dream and hard to beat. A visit to Guller is a must for all BBQ fans, and anyone coming from further afield won't regret the trip. No matter whether brisket, ribs, sausages or the sweet surprises at the end - everything is of the highest quality and perfectly coordinated. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Mega Mega Mega!! Nothing to complain about👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

We were some of the first people there on a Friday. The store is located directly on a busy main street, but offers little to no parking space. The entrance is not immediately visible at first glance. We were warmly greeted by a server and taken to our table. Robert Guller was also present, but didn't even look at us. Even when walking past, no “hello” or other greeting. We ordered a platter for 2 people and a drink each. Our food arrived after less than 5 minutes! The first 2-3 minutes were a delight. Delicious juicy brisket that falls apart and melts in your mouth. But then unfortunately things went downhill. Unfortunately, the food got ice cold very quickly. In the end it's no longer much fun fighting through the cold meat. What also didn't help was the careless way the food was served. You get the record. Everyone has a small plate plus cutlery and a cheap napkin. There is no spice rack with salt, pepper or anything like that at the table. The sauces come in paper cups. No house sauce in the bottle at the table to take away if necessary. No toothpicks or wet cloths to clean your hands. For the hefty price you pay here, I expect something more than just a platter of meat. Cinnamon roll was good, cheesecake was terrible. All in all, I would say it's worth a visit to experience it. But I won't visit the restaurant more often.

We reserved weeks in advance and were really excited. Two days before our visit our reservation was canceled; Apparently more important guests arrived at short notice for whom the table was needed. It's a shame that due to internet popularity, our own guests are probably forgotten here too.

We had the pleasure of eating at this amazing barbecue restaurant and all I can say is that it was a real taste experience! The platter we ordered was not only plentiful, but was very good for four people. The briskets in particular were our absolute favorite – very tender and full of flavor! The fries were also a highlight and went perfectly with the other dishes. The mac and cheese was very creamy. Everything was excellently seasoned and you could really taste the love and care that went into the preparation. A small drawback were the somewhat blunt knives, but that's really a complaint at a high level. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this restaurant! We'll definitely be back!

It was a really nice experience to eat here, the meat was a dream, my favorite was the pulled pork, it was a dream how it falls apart when you touch it with a fork or it melts in your tongue. What was also simply fabulous were the sauces, which were a dream, there is really something for everyone, the salads or rather the cucumber salad wasn't bad either, you couldn't complain about it because it was very juicy. Overall, one of my best dining experiences

Unfortunately, more emphasis is placed on mass processing here! 90 minutes to eat, of which we had to wait 15 minutes for a free seat, the meal also takes a good 35 to 40 minutes, so you hardly have time to eat in peace, which is why we didn't order dessert. Now let's get to the food, the only acceptable meat was the brisket! Pulled pork was extremely dry and spare ribs lacked flavor! Check Fries breading way too hard. Pulled pork way too fatty. Spare ribs meat doesn't come off the bone. Brisket was O.K. Turkey too dry and only lukewarm. Dessert: cinnamon rolls. There were two whole cinnamon rolls and six pieces that were divided. The floor in front of the toilet urinals was wet and slippery.

As expected, it was simply indescribably delicious. The 2 hour journey was absolutely worth it & it was definitely not the last visit to Guller. We ate the BBQ platter for 2 people and couldn't finish it. The taste is a dream! The staff is super friendly & Robert is, like in the videos, incredibly personable. Any time! Big praise to the entire Guller team!

Not recommended, too salty and dry. We are extremely disappointed. We were looking forward to a large, juicy, delicious portion of BBQ. Unfortunately, despite the long journey, we didn't get that. We ordered a platter for 4. It was less filling than expected, but ok. The real problem was taste and consistency. The ribs and the brisket in particular were very, very dry and had nothing to do with the products advertised. In general, we also found that the fries, the brisket, the grilled sausage and especially the pulled pork were absolutely oversalted. Very disappointed, really didn't taste good, wouldn't come back and can't recommend it. The service wasn't really convincing either; for example, we weren't “sold” any tap water. It doesn't work at all in my opinion. There was no pizza either, but no explanation. Waiting time was okay, just under 45 minutes. Ambiance was okay but too crowded and not special at all, toilets looked like club toilets, dirty wet floor, maybe better in the beer garden in summer. It's a shame, because the price-performance ratio in particular is very bad. Too bad.

Meat a little too strongly seasoned but absolutely recommended

It was our first time eating at Guller and because of a recommendation we had to travel 150km and it was definitely worth it. We are or were very disappointed or always looking for a restaurant with BBQ food after our vacations in the States in order to achieve this feeling or this taste experience again and again. We finally found this restaurant and will come to you more and more often. Thank you for a perfect taste experience.

I've been there a total of 4 times since 2023. Unfortunately more and more disappointing. Each time the portion gets smaller, colder, drier and it gets more expensive. Almost too small now. At the beginning the service was overloaded, but nice and attentive, in the middle it was very good, today, in my opinion, unqualified. Parking situation is also miserable. I liked coming here, especially because we only drive 30 minutes. But today was probably the last time. Unfortunately. Unless something changes for the better again. Which would be really great. To date, you have been the No. 1 good BBQ meal for me! I would be happy if you did it again! Too bad.

The ambience is good, the tables are occupied several times. In our case we had 2 hours to eat. Since the meal took an hour, we didn't have time for dessert at the end. The meat was tender but otherwise not exceptional. The fries were totally over salted. Gravy and fries came in paper containers. Personally, I don't understand the hype and in the end I regretted spending almost €170. Maybe something special for meat eaters every now and then.

Building from outside looks rancid. Food good but value for money poor.

The three of us shared the largest portion (4 people stated). Got fed up OK. Meat was dry and cold, the cucumber salad is grated cucumber without dressing or spices. The entire menu doesn't contain a gram of salt except for the loaded fries, which are suddenly so completely over-salted and over-seasoned that we had to argue about who had to eat them empty. Depending on the person, the cinnamon roll for dessert was sometimes half the size of the other person. Staff completely incompetent and helpless, although nice and polite; The only one who didn't eat with the large plate ordered a pulled pork burger; This one was supposedly empty and she should choose something else. But there was a double portion on our plate and we had to change it manually at the table. Why this wouldn't have been possible in the kitchen is a mystery to me. 200+km journey because we only heard good things, disappointed on every level; For the 60€ I could have cooked 3 better Sunday meat dishes and would actually have been full and happy.

Incredibly delicious BBQ. My highlights were the brisket and the jalapeño bratwurst.

Food was great. Especially the brisket. If there had been a little more of the sauces I would be completely happy.

Food and drinks came quickly. Beef brisket was delicious, the bone of the ribs was still attached to the meat, that's not possible. Salad was bland. The worst thing were the fries, totally soggy and soaked with fat. A burger was delicious. The record looked a bit sad and untidy. For the money it could have been made nicer. Overall okay but we don't have to go back again.

Much ado about nothing and not worth the hype. We came an extra 700 km from the north and were mostly disappointed. The beef brisket was really good. The sausage was ok. The rest was unfortunately disappointing. The pulled pork was totally dry. The turkey too. The ribs were tough and dry. Mac'N Cheese was bland and had completely absorbed the sauce (probably after standing for a long time). The belief caused by TikTok marketing that the price-performance ratio is still right is wrong. The tray for two people including 2 drinks costs €80! Save yourself the journey and go to a restaurant near you. But not to Guller. You may have better luck on the first day of the week the restaurant is open, but we felt like we were getting food that was several days old. Something like that shouldn't be released.

The food was really amazing. We ordered a platter for five and fried chicken and were really amazed. For me this is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Just one small point of criticism: Unfortunately, my brisket was quite dry and tough. The next time I'm there and the brisket is right, I'll get the last star.

We had dinner at Guller on November 17th, 2024 and had the BB plate for 2 people,,,,, the only thing that was good was the sausage!!!! Everything else, e.g. the bread or salad has no taste or the meat is too dry or too fatty... For so much money that's not okay, it's a rip-off...

Good evening everyone, I can only recommend the restaurant to all of you. The food was very tasty and varied, we took the BBQ tray for 1 person for two and everything was delicious and we were both full! We particularly recommend the beef brisket, which was so delicious that we ordered it again. If you still want to enjoy the delicious bread pudding, the tray is enough for one person for two people.

We drove 550km for the hype. We had one of the best BBQ experiences of our lives. Don't ask yourself whether it's worth going here, come, enjoy and be happy. Every bite of every piece of meat brings pure feelings of happiness. We had the large platter and all the delicacies of the house, it was great! +1 star for the great team, the nice service and holy moly why was this cinnamon roll so good? ❤️ We'd love to come back!

Super tasty BBQ, definitely worth a visit.

Total disaster and totally disorganized - extremely long wait for drinks and food that came after over 60 minutes. Unfortunately the quality of the food was nothing except the fried chicken. Maybe you should take a course on smokers etc. to get a taste of it. There were 5 of us and everyone was super disappointed.

The store is really more appearance than reality... Food was just average or below and we waited a whopping 1 hour 15 minutes for the food, for a plate for 5 people...?? Not worth it, in my opinion

We came especially from Lörrach and were unfortunately very disappointed. The beef brisket was very tasty and really juicy. Unfortunately that was the only positive thing. Unfortunately, the meat from the ribs couldn't be removed at all; even with a knife you couldn't completely remove the meat from the bone. We don't even have to talk about Fall of the Bone here... The pullet pork was really very dry and tasted like it had been sitting at an all you can eat buffet for 2 hours. Unfortunately, the turkey was also quite dry and only edible with the sauces. The jalapeños sausage was okay so far but not outstanding. The side dishes were good. However, all dishes were at most lukewarm. In total we had to wait over an hour for the food, which wouldn't have been a problem if the performance had been there. Overall, the experience was unfortunately really disappointing!

Had high expectations, especially given the prices, €70 for a grill plate for 2 people. Unfortunately most of the meat was very dry, especially the pulled pork. Unfortunately, the pasta in cheese sauce or the toast that came with it didn't make it any less dry 😄 In addition, the side dishes, including the salads, were really small. All in all, I think it definitely depends on whether the meat is fresh from the grill or a little overcooked, but unfortunately in our case the meat was a little too cooked/dry and I don't think that should happen for the price. But the staff was very friendly.

After an hour the food came, if it had been good we could have tolerated it. However, the food was NOT good!!! It was only lukewarm - you would have thought it was on the heater instead of in the smoker. Ribs tough and tasteless like my grandma's toenails. Ew, I thought to myself when I pressed the turkey down, almost like the sole of a shoe that Robert lost in the trash ten years ago and was pulled out again especially for me. The sausage was almost impossible to cut with the knife, which was as sharp as a butter knife, if not blunter. Speaking of spiciness, my rosette thanked me for the sauce; it didn't even begin to notice that there was something spicy about it, just like my palate. The brisket was tasty, although like the other items it was only lukewarm. The cole slaw was also delicious but unfortunately couldn't make up for the negative aspects. But the price was around €80 for two people, not exactly a bargain.

We came especially from the Ruhr area on our motorbikes in the pouring rain to enjoy this BBQ. We were warmly welcomed by the nice ladies and taken to our table. There we ordered the platter for two people and the fried chicken. It was all very very tasty, just as you would expect from BBQ. The manager of the house also came by the tables and asked about their well-being. This then turned into a 10 minute conversation. We will be happy to come back despite the long distance.

I chose the barbecue platter with bacon cheese fries. The fries were rather flaky, the sauce and bacon were very tasty. Now to the record. Basically the food wasn't hot. The pulled pork was dry and couldn't be eaten without sauce. The sausage was cold and the consistency was porous, but the taste was ok. The cucumber salad was not seasoned at all. The beef brisket was juicy and delicious. Likewise the turkey and the ribs. Mac and cheese was standard. All in all, unfortunately a disappointment and completely overrated. After all the hype on YouTube and Tik Tok, I expected a lot more.

After I accidentally came across the friendly videos on YouTube, I wanted to eat delicious BBQ at Guller. Yesterday it happened that we were there with friends and our children after visiting Europa Park. There were eight of us there, 4 adults and 4 children. Well, since I was so hooked and had only talked about food the days before and in the park, we got the 4-5 person platter twice. Way way way too much food for the troops. But let's get to the impressions: drinks have never come quicker than they did that evening. We had just said what we wanted and someone came and brought everything. I wasn't disappointed with the beef brisket either, even though I had really high expectations. Everyone enjoyed it without exception. On the other hand, the sausage was definitely difficult, it was too spicy for all the children and my wife, but this morning I ate it cold again and I love it. The pulled pork and fries were all the children's favorite foods. Personally, the only thing I didn't like was the turkey, but I don't like poultry that much anyway. The salads were simple but appropriate and the macaroni was very tasty. The store itself wasn't particularly nicely designed and I personally don't like the look of the toilet. Everything outside seemed a bit wild but it's all about the food and that was good. Conclusion: As soon as we were eating, we always wanted to go to Europa Park and eat there, as we lived 250km away. We'll definitely be back.

Today on October 31st, 2024 we wanted to test the food in the new Smoker Restaurant Guller in Lahr. The entrance to the restaurant was very messy. We came to the restaurant exactly as we had reserved at 5 p.m. and were very rudely directed out of the restaurant by a waiter who said he would come get us. Afterwards we were again very rudely assigned a table in the unheated anteroom. When we pointed out that he wouldn't sell much in this unfriendly manner, he let us know that he didn't sell anything, that he was a service person? My wife and I looked at each other and decided to go. We wanted to do a test meal that evening, namely a BBQ tray for 2 people for 70 €uro + drinks. The reason for this was that we had planned to eat this BBQ with our two sons and their partners as a Christmas present. After this reception we decided we would better go to Schuttertal to the Schutterblick. The food there is good and the service is attentive. Actually, I shouldn't give it a star because I didn't eat or drink anything and can't comment on the quality of the food and drinks. So I hope other guests have better experiences. It's a shame we had good hopes.

3 stars We ate the BBQ PLATE FOR 2 people at BBQ Guller and had mixed experiences. The portions are definitely large and beautifully presented, which we really appreciated. However, some of the meat was unfortunately only lukewarm, which spoiled the enjoyment somewhat. The prices are a bit too high for what is on offer, so we would have liked a better price-performance ratio overall. The BBQ Guller is fine for an occasional visit, but there is still room for improvement.

With anticipation, I drove 3.5 hours with my father so that I could eat a BBQ platter, which unfortunately disappointed me. The beef brisket was dry and lacked freshness, and the pull pork had the same problem. In my opinion, the spare ribs were ok, but they lacked the flavor and spices. The best items were the sausages and the mac and cheese.

The brisket is really great, but everything else is mediocre. The pulled pork is very dry and too salty for my taste, the ribs would have needed a few more hours on the grill (they were done but still far from tender)... The service is nice, but you have to wait a long time for little things like a few sauces or another drink. Furthermore, the starter came after dessert, when we thought they had forgotten it (even though we asked again). If you've never had American BBQ you can go here and try it, but don't expect to get authentic and good BBQ here.

We made the trip from Berlin and it was worth it. The food was incredibly delicious. We all particularly liked the brisket. But the burger with the ox cheeks was also a poem! Of course you pay a little more, but you know that beforehand. This is not a Mecces, but a restaurant that offers the highest quality. We will definitely come back again. The food here is excellent, you can't expect more from an American BBQ. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful. However, we would have to wait almost an hour for our food - that was a bit too long for me. All in all, a totally recommendable restaurant and a must-visit in the region if you like BBQ. :)

Our short conclusion: > Robert definitely knows his stuff and is very nice > the side dishes are great > the service was quick and reasonably attentive > The meat: unfortunately all parts are too dry! We suspect that this is due to the storage of the finished grilled product, which is probably left dry in the kitchen for too long or kept too warm before it is sent out to the customers. We were there at the start and at 5 p.m., but only got dry pieces (except for the sausage). After friendly, constructive feedback to the waitress, nothing came back. Something strange... Really a shame; We were really looking forward to it, but we probably won't come back again.

It could have been arranged more beautifully for €70, for example on a stone slab or something similar. The “diner” tray was out of place here… unfortunately the drinks were a bit over the top (€4-5 per cola). The cheesecake was okay, my friend thought it was good, but it tasted too much like cream cheese for me. I really liked the cinnamon roll and it was really big. The service was friendly, but not very attentive and slow. All in all, the hype surrounding the restaurant is a bit exaggerated. It's worth a visit, but nothing more😊

All the hype on the internet is completely unjustified!!! --> In a video, Robert showed what you could get from him for 50 euros. He prepared a platter on which the following components could be seen: - Brisket (100g) - Coleslaw - Pulled pork (100g) - Spare ribs - Turkey breast (100g) -home fries (1 bowl) - Fried Chicken (2 parts) - Pulled pork burger (1 piece) - Beer - BBQ bread (2 slices) --> The “50 Euro plate” no longer exists in this form. You can only choose between the plate for one person, for 2 or for 4-5 people. This means that you would have to put this plate together yourself from the menu and buy each component individually. If you do that, you get the following amount: 16 euros (brisket) +10 euros (pulled pork) + 8 euros (one sparerib) +12 euros (turkey breast) +19 euros (home fries, fried chicken, coleslaw) +14 euros (pulled pork burger) +4.9 euros (light Chiemsee beer) =83.9 euros > 50.00 euros (assuming the BBQ bread would be free) --> This means that you would pay around 70 percent more than stated for the amount described in the video or, in other words: you actually get significantly less for 50 euros. --> I am also bothered by the lies of some guests (especially YouTubers about the restaurant. The YouTube channel MAX with around 1.4 million subscribers claims in a video that he and his cameraman made the plate for 2 people (70 euros ) didn't make it. I've never eaten so badly for so much money

We found out about the restaurant through social media and it was just a good decision to go there. The meat was so delicious that there was hardly any need for sauce. We liked the pulled poke and the beef bisket best. The cheesecake was great too! We will definitely come back to eat

The fries were totally over salted. They didn't look tasty either. Were dark brown. The meat is great but there was so little meat on my burger that the price was way too high for this little burger. 18 euros for a burger that was mostly coleslaw and wasn't much bigger than a burger at Burger King. The spare ribs, on the other hand, were super tasty. Also a good portion. Also okay in terms of price. We won't eat there anymore.

Far too expensive, the food was just lukewarm/edible. It wasn't really good for the price. For the money you can get something better somewhere else, and above all you can get something to eat somewhere else that doesn't make you vomit an hour later. My companion also had diarrhea for almost 2 days afterwards. Only the service was nice, unfortunately it was a bit busy and you had to wait a bit long. All in all - Never again!

The hype is real! Again recommended by our son via Insta and Co, we stopped in with a reservation on the way back from France. Incredibly good meat and tasty side dishes. Super friendly people in a restaurant with its own charm. It's certainly not something for every weekend, but you should definitely be there at least once.

We went here for dinner because of the Instagram appearance. It was really delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted really delicious. If it wasn't sooooo far (900km) I could happily imagine it again.

We succumbed to all the hype about Guller and drove 150km to eat there. Ambiance is almost non-existent. Service is very friendly and makes a great effort. And now for food. Anyone who has never had BBQ will find it great. But anyone who has ever eaten half-good BBQ will find the whole thing to be average. I found it mediocre. Brisket was good, pulled pork was dry, cucumber salad was bland, sauces were a matter of taste. Fries were very good, the BBQ sausages tasted good but were dry. Bread was substandard and dry. Pulled pork burger was good. Ribs dry. If you were to ask me whether I would recommend the store, it would be a clear no. The prices are way too exorbitant. Even with high-quality ingredients, it doesn't justify such prices. Especially not the drink prices. Almost similar to Oktoberfest. All in all a disappointment. Lower middle class BBQ that has become big through marketing. Conclusion: Anyone who doesn't know BBQ will be thrilled and have fun. But if you've ever eaten really good BBQ and maybe even made pulled pork or brisket yourself, you'll be disappointed there and it's very expensive.

We were passing through France and Guller was on the way. Right at the beginning we saw Robert, who we know from YouTube. We ordered a BBQ plazze for 4 people. The pulled pork was also very good. For the quality of the ingredients and the working time, the price is definitely okay. I have to deduct one point for the side dishes: the mac and cheese weren't really warm and the fries were too salty. The ambience: you wouldn't think that it was very cozy and inviting - we were in the garden. The service was very attentive. But that day they were probably understaffed, which was noticeable at one point or another.

Actually decent BBQ by German standards. Pulled pork was okay, the ribs were very good and the brisket was pretty decent too…. When it comes to brisket, it always depends on which piece you get. The mac & cheese had a fondor flavor. On the whole you can eat a decent BBQ here. You just can't compare it to Truth in Houston or Goldee's in Dallas, which wouldn't be fair either. In the States the guys just have completely different options.

You should pay more for good quality meat and the price is absolutely justified for the quantity and quality. We had the plate for 4-5 people and everything, really everything was an absolute dream. We actually wanted to treat ourselves to dessert, but we were so full that we had to pack the meat ourselves. We ate it today and it was still very, very juicy and tasty. The food was super tasty, the way it was served on a tray wasn't that great. We sat outside in one of the tents, where the atmosphere was definitely great. As for the prices: Meat was of good quality and plentiful, so the price was just about right, but the drinks were a bit excessive. The service was super friendly. Delicious American BBQ. After stints in BBQ joints in New Orleans, Memphis, South Carolina and Nashville, I know BBQ well. The brisket in particular is excellent and very authentic. The tenderness is special. Definitely worth a trip.

I can understand the hype but unfortunately the price/performance ratio is not right. Unfortunately, the food was lukewarm to almost cold. Hopefully they can get this under control. If you don't have a reservation, you have almost no chance. People were sent away in front of our eyes saying that they didn't have enough meat and needed it all for reservations... I really don't have any words for that, especially since the shop was almost empty.

We had the BBq platter for 2 with coleslaw and cucumber salad Mac n cheese and the 3 BBq sauces, the taste of all the meat was a 10/10 and really blew us away. When it came to the sauces, we only really liked the blueberry bbq and the homemade ice tea It also tasted really good, fresh and homemade The only negative point that we unfortunately give away is that some of the meat was really cold and the cucumber salad was quite weak, but the next time we visit the region we will still find our way back here

Been following Robert for a while and look forward to every video. Now we had the opportunity to see the quality for ourselves on site. After a short wait (the store was full to the last seat) we were able to do that. And we weren't promised too much. We have never had such excellent BBQ. High quality meat, well processed and really tasty! Subtle, natural smoky notes - no artificial flavors. The service was very courteous and Robert also had time for a few warm words. Best man! At 400km away it's not something for every weekend, but as soon as we get back to the area we'll know where to go - we'll definitely be back!

Everything tasted 10/10 and I would order everything again apart from the turkey and the salads. But first, one thing at a time. Today we drove about 1 hour from Freiburg to Lahr, got a seat in the beer garden in the sunshine and the waitress came directly to us and took our drink order - if we had already known what we wanted to eat, it would have been taken straight away. But we had to study the menu first and then decided on the grill plate for 2, each with a fried chicken menu. Drinks arrived at our table almost immediately and we also had to wait for the food. Wait 15 minutes. First came the grill plate for 2, which contains 2 pieces of beef brisket, ribs and 2 link sausages. Pulled pork, turkey, mac n cheese and the salads are each a portion that is shared. We started with the brisket and that was an absolute dream. It was buttery smooth and practically melted in your mouth. The taste was indescribably good. A slightly smoky aroma from the smoker and juicy too. The brisket was the highlight of the platter. Next I tried the link sausage and almost fell out of my chair. A really nice, coarse sausage with a pleasant texture, with cheddar, jalapeños and super juicy meat, again with a great taste. When it came to the ribs, the meat literally fell off the bone and there was a lot on the bone. The pulled pork is also super tender and juicy with the typical aromatic pulled pork taste that you know. As you can read in other reviews, the turkey was dry for us too and I would swap it for a second portion of the other meat at any time. The coleslaw and cucumber salad were also ok, but there was no comparison to the other top products on the grill. The Mac n Cheese, on the other hand, gets an absolute recommendation from me. Creamy, aromatic cheese that pulls strings when you take a bite and melts in your mouth. I personally also thought the sauces were very good. The Burgundy sauce reminded me a bit of a jus that you would typically get with steak and I personally also liked the blueberry sauce. The taste was somewhat reminiscent of jam, but in a positive sense. It gave the food a certain freshness that went well with it. The bread was ok too, but wasn't our focus. We also had the fried chicken menu with the cheese bacon fries. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. And the fries were nice and spicy, crispy and the cheese sauce with the bacon complemented them perfectly - an absolute recommendation 10/10 from me for the menu too. For dessert we had the cheesecake (unfortunately the bread pudding and cinnamon rolls were already sold out). The walnuts had a pleasant ceubch, almost as if they were caramelized. The sauce was sweet and fruity and the cheesecake itself was nice and creamy and the base was crunchy and crumbly - a 10/10 recommendation from me too. Since I would have preferred the other two desserts over the cheesecake, which impressed me so much, I think they would have blown me away too. I'll have to find out on my next visit. Last but not least there was a brisket burger. The brisket on top, just as tender and soft as the piece from the grill, is served with coleslaw and a sauce, as well as melted cheese. The highlight here is the interaction with the top bun, which was almost glazed. That texture, the top bun with the slight crunch paired with the brisket that is so tender it falls apart on its own and the melted cheese, coleslaw and sauce was a poem! I would also recommend it to everyone!

An absolute BBQ dream! We had the BBQ platters with beef brisket, pulled pork, coleslaw and mac & cheese – and it was just amazing. The quality of the meat is amazing: tender, juicy and full of flavor. The brisket in particular blew us away, buttery tender and so aromatic! The sauces are the perfect accompaniment and round the whole thing off. The coleslaw and the mac & cheese are also real highlights, fresh, creamy and seasoned just right. The price-performance ratio is 100% right here. A must for all BBQ fans – we will definitely be back!

Mega!! Just awesome!!! We were there on a Saturday right at 5 p.m. Everything was absolutely top, service, location and food. Will definitely go again. Of course the prices are high but you have to see the effort and the struggle that Robert has with everything.
