I've been looking forward to eating at Gullers BBQ for a long time. First of all, it was very solid, but I don't think it's worth the hype. There were two of us there and we got the BBQ platter for two. The quantity wasn't great, and the appearance and presentation were also impeccable. However, a couple of things disappointed me. The beef brisket was very dry, and the BBQ sausages (which were delicious) were very difficult to cut; they might want to consider better steak utensils. And unfortunately, the spare ribs, which I was most looking forward to, were very bland and unspectacular. However, I have to say that everything else was absolutely fantastic. The pulled pork was excellent, as was the turkey and the sides (mac & cheese, fries, coleslaw, and cucumber salad), as well as the homemade sauces. All in all, it was a solid meal, but a bit overpriced.

The marketing and all the videos are great, but we were pretty disappointed in person. We drove 330 km to the guller and were met with unfriendly service who told us what to order, then at the end said that if we rated them, please only give positive feedback. As for the meat, yes, it was delicious, no question, but the brisket was dry, as was the pulled pork. What was really good were the sauces and the sides. Unfortunately, I can't recommend a longer journey.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed after our visit. While the service was good and attentive, the food didn't impress us. We shared the platter for two. The price was far too high for what we got. The food was unsalted, the brisket was bland, and I wouldn't have thought cole slaw could be so bad. The bread resembled a dry slice of toast. It could have at least been toasted. Overall, very disappointing.

We were there for lunch at 1:30 p.m. The two of us ordered the two-piece platter for an unbelievable €78. As all the other reviews have already described, everything tasted okay but didn't live up to the hype. It lacked salt, and the two soggy slices of toast were a real rip-off... The coleslaw tasted like nothing. Mac and cheese was the best thing on the tray, closely followed by the spare ribs. Robert's three sauces are also really good and cool, but without them the meat wouldn't have been edible. All in all, overhyped and overpriced. A bit disappointing.

We finally went to Guller yesterday, and what can I say? It was absolutely amazing. We had the largest platter and a single platter, as well as the beef ribs. For me and the rest of the group, the brisket and ribs were the absolute star, exactly as we imagined. The salads were good, and we really enjoyed the accompanying bread and sauces, as well as the cheese noodles (especially the BBQ and cranberry sauce). The only thing I didn't really need was the turkey. Highly recommended, and we're already looking forward to the next time!

I thought it was very good. I'm from here, so we come here every now and then. I wouldn't travel around the world for it, as it's good local BBQ, but certainly not worth the trip. I have no idea what people expect from the bad reviews here. I like it because it's just like the one in the US, so it's unique in Germany.

A little disappointed. For a restaurant specializing in hot smoking (smokehouse, low & slow), the smoky flavor of the food is barely present! We weren't able to try the brisket, despite having made a reservation; it was supposedly too late!!! (no longer available, this wasn't specified to us when we ordered). We got a simple beef rib instead. Which isn't really in the price range or quality of the brisket!!! Even more, we waited a good hour before our platter was served. I don't recommend it...

Robert as a person truly deserves 5 stars, but the business, unfortunately, doesn't. The service is very lackluster because everyone is stressed and working very tightly due to the high volume of visitors. Unfortunately, the food isn't consistently good and doesn't look anything like the image shown on social media. It's really tasty, but not as good as you'd expect. It unfortunately doesn't live up to the expectations created by the immense hype.

We've been to Guller twice now: the beef brisket, pulled pork, and spare ribs were all too dry. It seemed like the meat had been kept warm for hours beforehand. No comparison to what invited influencers like Holle and Max were served. At least the service was friendly. Can't recommend this place.

We drove all the way from Hanover to Guller, and it was worth it. We had reserved a table inside and were able to move it outside to enjoy a gentle breeze in the lovely, hot weather. We had the BBQ platters, and it was delicious. Every single component tasted sensational, and then the homemade BBQ sauces complemented it. A real treat. Restaurant Review – Visit on August 17, 2025, 6:00 PM, with five people For over a year, I've followed every video and every post about the "Guller." The anticipation was immense – and the disappointment was correspondingly great when we finally dared to visit. Food The bread was as dry as a baguette that was several days old. The spare ribs ended up in a single piece so dry that it stuck between our teeth. The brisket was also completely dried out and barely edible. The pulled pork initially seemed acceptable in the upper layer, but was so dry in the lower layer that it didn't even pull apart. The sausage was bland in flavor, and there was no trace of cheese – which might also be explained by the fact that the entire meat platter was served cold. The mac and cheese also arrived cold, forming a single, solid block. Only the sides were convincing: the cucumber and coleslaw were fresh and delicious. The blueberry sauce stood out particularly positively – a real highlight of the evening. Service & Ambience This is where the disappointment became even more apparent. Cutlery was touched during clearing at the dining area, glasses were freshly washed and still hot, and we had to ask for drinks several times ourselves because no one asked for them. A particularly unfortunate moment occurred when leaving the restaurant: A waitress stood in our way and, when asked to let us through, responded with, "Let them wait, man, man, man." – an extremely rude reaction that guests should not experience. Hygiene also left much to be desired: The trash cans in the restrooms were overflowing, and paper was piled up extensively on the floor. Overall Impression We had been so looking forward to this experience – and were immensely disappointed. Aside from a few side dishes and the excellent blueberry sauce, the food fell short of all expectations, and the service was inattentive and at times disrespectful. It's known that the owner was absent due to illness at the time of our visit – perhaps that explains some things. Nevertheless, it remains to be said: In this form, the "Guller" doesn't live up to its reputation or expectations. Conclusion An evening we had been looking forward to for a long time turned into a disappointment in almost every respect. It's a real shame – the potential is evident, but the execution falls far short of expectations.

For my birthday, I received a gift certificate for Guller BBQ, which I'd seen many times in viral videos. My friend and I made the nearly two-hour drive. Despite being almost fully booked, it was very quiet, and there was no music playing. The service was friendly, and we got our drinks and food quickly. I usually avoid pork and fatty dishes, so this was generally too much for me; but I wasn't impressed with the beef brisket at all (it seemed like it had been kept warm for a while). The beef ribs I ordered separately were tender and delicious, but my favorites were the mac and cheese and the turkey, while the pulled pork was a bit dry. The three sauces were fantastic. So why three stars? Despite the good service and the typical restaurant ambiance, the long drive didn't reflect the value. The restaurant didn't quite live up to its hype, and I wouldn't consider a second trip. The food was good, but not perfect. If you're nearby and like barbecue, it's worth a visit. The dessert was also decent.

We were at Guller's for lunch and know it from Instagram. Since we were in the area on vacation (we're usually from Schleswig-Holstein), we went, of course. We had the fried chicken sandwich with fries and the spare ribs, and the bread pudding for dessert. The sandwich (burger) was the best chicken burger I've ever eaten, quite honestly. But it was a bit small for 16 euros. The pudding was also very tasty, but it could have been a bit bigger for 6 euros. Overall, the food was really delicious, well-seasoned, and the portion size was okay, perhaps a bit small for big eaters. However, it must be said that the prices are quite high compared to the portion size. We spent 100 euros for two main courses, one side dish, one dessert, and four drinks, including tip. The waiters were all very friendly. If you're nearby, you should definitely stop by, but in our opinion, it's not worth driving several hundred kilometers just for the food.

We were at Guller BBQ today and drove 130 km for it. I have to say, I don't understand all the hype. Especially the reservation. I reserved a table two weeks ago because I hadn't been able to get a table inside or inside earlier. What really surprised me, though, was that the restaurant was almost empty inside, and there were more than enough seats available outside, so I basically had a free choice like at any other restaurant. I wonder if that was just a coincidence or something to do with marketing. It's obviously more interesting to get a table at a constantly fully booked restaurant than if you could always go. Let's get to the food: The brisket was amazing, and the spare ribs were also amazing. The pulled pork was a bit too dry in places, as was the sausage. While it was tasty, it had been in the oven for too long because it ran out of meat juice. Regarding the side dishes: The coleslaw was the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten. I don't know if the dressing was just water, but it had absolutely no flavor. The cucumber salad could have used some seasoning, too. The mac and cheese was okay. But I've had better. All three of the sauces were really tasty. All in all, I thought everything was too expensive for what I got. The portion was sufficient, but probably too small for two hungry guys. Luckily, I was with my wife 😄 Overall, I would give the restaurant 6.5 out of 10.

According to the waitress, a spontaneous visit for two wasn't possible because "they have to plan the meat in advance," which is why they can't accept walk-ins. However, reservations are still possible for a later time on the same day (even 30 minutes later). Not good for the restaurant's image, and not particularly customer-oriented. Unfortunately, my visit was a bitter disappointment. The outside ambiance is uninviting. I apparently fell into the social media hype trap: What appeared to be a culinary highlight online turned out to be a rather mediocre experience on site. The food was far too dry and tasteless. Perhaps acceptable for those from the immediate area – but definitely not recommended if you have to drive more than 30 minutes. I was at Guller's for two days a week ago. Here's my experience. Day 1: BBQ platter for one person. A whole lot of meat, you'll definitely be full. Brisket 9 out of 10, turkey 8 out of 10, pulled pork 8.5 out of 10, spare ribs 7.5 out of 10 (unfortunately, they were too dry for me). But now the absolute highlight: Mac & Cheese and the sausage. I'd come back for that alone. Day 2: Fried chicken menu, brisket burger, and banana pudding. The fried chicken was a solid 7 out of 10, a bit too breaded for me, but the meat was very juicy. The brisket burger was the highlight of the day this time, 10 out of 10; everything was just right. Is it too expensive? YES. Would I still pay the price again? YES!! The dessert rounded it off perfectly; I'd give it a 9 out of 10. Anyone who loves BBQ will get their money's worth here. I'll definitely be back.

Mr. Guller has been to America several times and actually knows what it should taste like. He advertises his food as high-quality, but unfortunately, it's quite the opposite. The brisket in the video doesn't look like it in real life; it's much too dry. The same goes for the ribs, too. The BBQ bread is just a bit like grilled white bread. The service is so bad, I'd hire some decent staff. Conclusion: Guller acts like a connoisseur but doesn't deliver, and the prices are too high for the inferior food. Never again Guller ✌️

As a BBQ fan and someone who already has BBQ experience, I'm really happy that there's finally a restaurant like this in Germany and that more and more people are getting excited about it. However, I do have a few criticisms, and I'd like to share them openly and honestly here. Perhaps Robert will read this and understand what I mean, or maybe even put it into practice! Most people are probably recruited through social media, and perhaps the hype that triggers the rush is responsible for the lack of attention to the "vibe." Perhaps these TikTok customers don't really care about what the Guller restaurant will look like in the long run. Nevertheless, I think there's not much to offer for guests who usually have to travel 1-3 hours (some even more)! It's just missing a bit of that American BBQ flair! I know it's hard to find staff these days, but why don't they all wear uniform guller shirts, cowboy hats, western shirts, or belts, etc.? Why isn't there country music, or even a small live band? Why are such unloved tents with beer benches set up there without any kind of American decoration? There's definitely room for improvement... The food, or more specifically the BBQ platter, is overall okay. You get quite a bite and you're filling. However, I have to admit that (for me at least) it wasn't the best BBQ I've ever had. The meat is certainly of very good quality, and the price was OK. A bit more loving presentation of the food would have improved the experience, which doesn't cost anything. The waiters were all nice and polite. The young man at the bar with the cowboy hat certainly stood out ;) Now you have the special position of being the only restaurant in the area. Take advantage of this and bring a little more USA to Lahr! :)

We were at Guller with four people around August 2025. First of all, the service. The service was very friendly and fast, 5 stars for that. BBQ Platter for One Person: • Brisket: The thing we were most looking forward to, after the pulled pork (more on that in a moment), was unfortunately the most disappointing. The brisket was a bit dry – unlike what you'd expect from social media. • BBQ Sausage: The sausage was one of my highlights. Juicy, smoky, and very well seasoned. • Pulled Pork: Unfortunately, a real disappointment. Very dry, very stringy, and hardly any flavor. But that was saved by the... • ...pulled pork burger. The sauce, cheese, and pickles saved the pulled pork on the burger. • Fried chicken was very juicy and tender. The breading was crispy and very well seasoned. • Beef ribs were also very tasty, another highlight. Juicy, well seasoned. Deep beef flavor and a good portion of meat on the bone. • Turkey breast: Juicy and tasty, but a bit bland. • Spare ribs were delicious. Very juicy and a spicy-sweet aroma. Typical delicious smoky flavor. • Mac and cheese and coleslaw would almost be my highlight, but that's not why we came here. • Fries were standard but good. • All three sauces were very tasty and I've never had anything like them before. The price is debatable. But the fact is that all the negative comments about the quantity are far-fetched. Four good eaters and not one plate was completely eaten. Unfortunately, we won't be making the two-hour drive again in the future. Parking is very limited. We were forced to park our car in a housing development in Lahr.

So now we've been there, and what can I say? We can't understand how they can get such reviews with what they offer. As we all know, you never get a second chance for a first impression. No parking spaces available and far too few. The few that are there are filled with trailers and other junk. This negative first impression gets stronger the further you get into the beer garden. The tent is covered in verdigris, behind it all sorts of junk, leaves lying around everywhere, and no cushions on the chairs. The lowest snack bar quality. The conditions were absolutely positive. Super friendly and on the ball. Well, we're actually there for the food. So a look at the menu. It's the same story. Two pages of paper on a clipboard, just as rancid as the whole place. What's wrong here? There are laminators, or they replace the sheets regularly. Either way, we took the platter for four people for €160. Two women and two men should be full. The food comes super quickly. And now the disaster really begins. Everything, absolutely everything, was lukewarm at best, bordering on cold. Because that's not enough, the taste is also mediocre at best. With the meat, it might be down to the internal temperature. How anyone can get lukewarm fries and lukewarm mac and cheese will always be a mystery to me. And then there was this unspeakable amount of waste. Honestly, it was nothing. We had a barbecue the night before. It was so much better. You really don't need to go there. The place is run down, and anyone can make better food at home. Sorry, but this was a complete disappointment for €180.

After seeing Robert's video online, we were determined to try what it tastes like here. So we plucked up the courage and set off, 300 km south. And the journey was worth it! There is ample parking available around the location. The restaurant itself offers guests three areas – the inn, the conservatory, and the outdoor area. The ambiance is an interesting mix of traditional inn and modern elements. The service team is consistently friendly, competent, and helpful. And now for the food... Since we were very hungry, the three of us opted for the Max tray. All the dishes arrived fresh, and the flavors were an experience – from the spicy sausages, the fine spare ribs, the tender pulled pork, the succulent turkey breast, to the buttery brisket, and the consistently delicious side dishes and fantastic sauces – simply a dream. My personal highlight was the brisket; An absolute treat for the palate; very fine meat flavor and definitely the best piece of beef I've had the pleasure of enjoying in a long time. Inspired by countless shorts, we simply reserved a table and spontaneously drove from Landsberg am Lech to Lahr to meet Robert and his great crew. We had a table in the winter garden, which had a very unpleasant draft. When I asked if we could swap tables, it took less than a minute for us to get a draft-free spot. I have to say about the food: it was very good, very juicy. There was one minor drawback, because you eat with your eyes too: the dried-out slice of brisket doesn't belong on the plate, but we were starving, so we didn't make a fuss. The fries were unfortunately very soggy (drenched in fat) and weren't our cup of tea. The mac 'n cheese tasted a bit like powdered cheese. The salads were excellent, as were the sauces. The jalapeno grills were great, but too salty. The dessert (cinnamon roll) was delicious, but drenched in far too much sugar. Particularly noteworthy is the incredible flavor of the meat, its tenderness, and its juicy quality. A masterpiece of craftsmanship! The price is about 15% higher, but that's fine for the overall experience. The service remains. We were very impressed with our table service, Ms. Tamara P. The food was okay, but in my opinion, it doesn't quite do it justice. The brisket was a bit dry. The pulled pork was solid. The spare ribs were okay, but unfortunately nothing special. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was very tasty. The turkey was also very good. The fries were unfortunately a bit soggy. The breaded chicken was quite good, but the coating was a bit overseasoned. The mac and cheese, the salads, and the sauces were all very tasty. All in all, it was worth the experience. The service was absolutely excellent; we couldn't fault it. The only drawback was that they ran out of cinnamon rolls on Sundays at 3:00 PM. The restrooms were clean, but desperately need a renovation.

We were here today as a surprise for myself for our 6th anniversary and my husband really succeeded in this surprise. It was really mega all around. First of all the ambience is rustic/chic. Really nicely decorated. Modernity combined with 19th century charm. Really nice and stylishly decorated. The service team was not only very competent and professional but also incredibly polite, courteous and personable. You felt very comfortable and nothing was left to be desired. As we all know, the best comes last. The food is amazing!!!The enjoyment with every bite is truly incomparable. I have never eaten such delicious BBQ in my life. I was impressed by the fantastic quality of the meat – everything was incredibly juicy! The homemade barbecue sauces are also a highlight. The beef rib is definitely worth it, and you can tell that craftsmanship is a top priority here. The service was very friendly and extremely attentive. I absolutely appreciate the hype for Eobert, but I must say there is still some potential to make the place, especially the outside area, more attractive. The barbecue sausage, for example, could be a bit more consistent, but the value for money is absolutely top-notch. If you're in the area, you should stop by. There's probably no better Texas BBQ in Germany.

Probably not as consistent. We drove about 300 kilometers to finally get a chance to eat here. Overall, a cool spot, good food, and super friendly staff! I expected more from the meat, though. Funnily enough, contrary to many reviews, the pulled pork was excellent. Everything else, however, was rather tough. The brisket was quite chewy, the sausage fell apart and was very chewy, and the turkey was relatively dry. Everything tasted great, but the consistency, unfortunately, wasn't. My guess: This hype can't have been caused solely by what we ate. You can see that in the pictures. Some people's brisket is really juicy, while others' looks rather dry. I think the consistency isn't up to par, and we must have just had a bad day. Also, unfortunately, they didn't have any beef ribs, which I found very disappointing. Maybe I'll give the place another chance and hopefully experience the BBQ that Guller has become so famous for.

I have to say, I was at Guller last Thursday and was absolutely disappointed. Brisket was dry, pulled pork was dry, spare ribs had lots of gristle, and unfortunately, the taste wasn't my cup of tea either... There were no beef ribs, the sausage fell apart when I cut it... only the turkey was juicy. We made a special detour on the way from Strasbourg to Switzerland, arrived shortly after opening, and there was nothing like what you'd expect from your videos. It's a real shame - I still like you, but it wasn't for us 🫣 (In my opinion, you can even see from the photo that the brisket was dry/overcooked)

The best way to sum it up is: disappointing. I don't think many people go here twice. Or maybe we just had a bad day. First of all, the food was okay, but underwhelming. The turkey and brisket were rather dry. The price wasn't nearly as advertised online. We got the platter for 4 to 5 people (160 euros) and only got marginally more than in the "for 50 euros you get" video. But it didn't taste so good that we wanted more. The barbecue bread was also dry. Only the pulled pork and the chicken burger were good. But both were also cooked a bit too long. The cucumber salad was more like a pepper salad with cucumbers. Coleslaw was tasty, but underwhelming. All in all, it wasn't worth the trip. Also, the restrooms were extremely dirty, which I think says a lot about a restaurant.

Highly recommended! We went to Guller BBQ in Lahr today – and I'm thrilled! The service was top-notch: super attentive, friendly, and fast. Drinks seemed to arrive immediately, and the waiters regularly asked if everything was okay. That's what you want everywhere! We had the platter for four – initially laughed at, but finally stuffed full. The meat was tender as butter, smoky, and perfectly cooked – exactly what you'd expect from a real American BBQ. Plus, the atmosphere was perfect, and the timing was perfect throughout. Great atmosphere, top-notch taste, and amazing waiters – we'll be back!

We, three friends who have loved BBQ for over 10 years and have made countless brisket, ribs, and pulled pork in all possible preparation variations and on all kinds of grills and smokers, finally drove to Lahr to try out the Guller. To say it upfront, our food was GOOD. We all ordered either the BBQ platters for one or two people. What we noticed was that the portion sizes in the YouTube videos differ somewhat from what you actually get on the platter, but rather in a negative direction. But the portion size is still sufficient. However, a big eater might go home hungry from a BBQ platter for one person. The picture shows the platter for two people. The quality of the products, however, was very good. The owner advertises American beef. I don't know if he uses Prime or Choice Standard. I couldn't taste any difference. The brisket was the best, followed by the ribs. The pulled pork was a bit dry, as was the turkey. All in all, though, a solid BBQ. The BBQ sausages weren't really necessary for my taste, but everyone's taste is different. The sides were also delicious. I loved the sauces. They were excellent and flavorful. The blueberry sauce was my particular highlight. Ultimately, it was a lovely evening. The food was good, the service excellent, and the ambiance appealing. So, now for the price. BBQ is always expensive. Especially when you use high-quality ingredients. And I know what American beef costs. Whether you buy it in a retail store, online, or from a catering wholesaler, quality has its price. However, I still find the platters 10 to 15 percent too expensive overall. Nevertheless, his success proves him right, and Guller simply has a unique selling point in the region. And besides, it must be said that courage must be rewarded. The whole thing could have backfired. So, if you want cheaper BBQ at the same level, you'll just have to make it yourself. And anyone who has ever done this knows how much work it is.

I can't understand the bad reviews at all. I was there with two colleagues this winter. We drove over 300 km and ate the 4-5-piece platter. The three of us had a really hard time finishing it all (we're also quite greedy, so it's easily enough for 4-5 people with normal appetites). An incredibly good meat experience, something I haven't had anywhere else before! I can only recommend it. I'll be going back in a few weeks; it was worth it!

We traveled over seven hours from Austria with our group of friends. The quality of the meat was fantastic – tender and juicy. Whether it was spare ribs or beef (be sure to order it), brisket, or even the turkey, it was succulent. The side dishes were excellent, you can always get more sauces, and much more. The desserts were also very nice. Add to that the pleasant atmosphere and a team that brings a sense of humor. A perfect culinary excursion to the Black Forest.

The beef ribs were very good but only lukewarm. The bathrooms were an absolute disaster; the door and the toilet were so close that you had to contort yourself to get to the toilet. I can only agree with some of the previous speakers. The wow factor ultimately didn't materialize. My son and I had the platter for two. My wife had chicken with fries. The sausage was by far the best thing on the platter. The rest was okay, but not outstanding. Why are there two slices of toast on the platter, or what kind of bread is that? Price!? There were five of us there and we were sadly extremely disappointed. We sat outside on a bench in the courtyard, and the fact that the rats didn't sit at our table was all we could hope for. Measures definitely need to be taken here. When we asked the waitress about it, she explained that it was a common problem. The meat doesn't live up to the hype and is unfortunately very dry. The spare ribs are more reminiscent of a piece of smoked pork. The portion sizes for the side dishes are very small. The best parts were the mac and cheese and the fries... The toilet is also in terrible condition. The flush doesn't work and hasn't been working for quite some time. All in all, very disappointing!

I was inspired by social media and traveled 400km to try the BBQ here. All in all, it was a successful evening, although I must admit that I wouldn't make the trip again. The food: The food was delicious and a really good BBQ – however, my expectations were probably too high, and it wasn't a complete revelation. The service: There's absolutely nothing to complain about here! Super friendly, totally accommodating, and really quick. The ambiance: We reserved a table in the winter garden and were very happy with it. The seats in the beer garden and restaurant also looked super inviting. Conclusion: The hyperbolic hype unfortunately led to unrealistically high expectations for me. It was very, very tasty, but not to the point where I would repeat the 4-hour drive (as I regularly do at BigBoost Burgers in Dortmund, for example). If I lived nearby, I would certainly stop by every now and then. The price-performance ratio was good and the friendly service was particularly noteworthy.

The food was excellent. Exactly what you'd imagine BBQ to be. Everything was cooked to perfection. The side dishes and dips were also great. The large platter is definitely enough for 4-5 people (even for big eaters). Very friendly service. As soon as a glass was empty, someone came to the table. This is something you regularly experience worse, even in fine dining. If they wanted to deduct a star, it would be for the parking, but in the end, people come here for the food, not the parking. Maybe just stop everyone driving individually and leave the SUVs at home. Then everyone can find a parking space.

Today we ate at Guller for the first time. We'd heard a lot about it from friends and seen videos online, so we went today and had the BBQ platter for 4-5 people (3 men, 2 women). The meat overall was quite good, but nothing more. The side dishes were simply too few, I have to say. Conclusion: It's worth a try, but it's nothing earth-shattering. If you love American cuisine and have already had BBQ in America, you'll unfortunately not get your money's worth here.

We recently went to Guller in Lahr as a family and had mixed impressions. On the one hand, the food was okay, but on the other hand, there were a few things that bothered us. We had made reservations weeks in advance because we'd been told it was often full. So it was all the more surprising that many tables were empty – both inside and outside. So the long wait for a seat was somehow unnecessary. We sat outside, which was actually nice in the good weather, but the atmosphere was quite loud and hectic. For a relaxed family evening, we would have preferred a bit more peace and quiet. Perhaps it's more pleasant inside – we can't say for sure. About the food: I ordered a burger, which tasted okay, but we weren't really blown away by the food either. Unfortunately, we found the prices significantly too high for what you get. The portions weren't particularly large, and overall, the value for money wasn't quite right for us. Overall, it was a mixed visit: The food was okay, but the price, wait times, and atmosphere didn't really impress us. We might visit again sometime, but there are currently restaurants in Lahr and the surrounding area that offer a better overall package.

The service was excellent, attentive, and everything went quickly. The atmosphere is also cozy, especially in the beer garden. The brisket was a bit dry for me, but so was the flat one; I could basically make it at home in my kamado. So, they only cook it with water here. But everything was good; it was absolutely solid. I liked the mac and cheese and the coleslaw the best ☺️ Otherwise, it's definitely worth a visit and I would recommend it to any BBQ fan.

Yesterday, I went to Guller BBQ for the first time with four colleagues. We had 184 km ahead of us, so it was a short and pleasant trip. I had the platter for two people and my colleagues had the platter for four or five people. The platters were definitely enough; it actually looks bigger in person than in videos/pictures. Everything tasted absolutely fantastic, and we had no complaints or complaints. I was very surprised by the Cheddar Jalapeno Bratwurst; it was delicious, along with the delicious pulled pork, brisket, turkey breast, and spare ribs. I also ordered the beef ribs (A DREAM!!!). We were all more than satisfied and had a lovely evening with absolutely delicious food. This reflects my own opinion, of course. A definite recommendation!

All show, little substance. Unfortunately, not the BBQ experience promised. We're big US fans and have often traveled to the States, including authentic BBQ restaurants in Texas, Tennessee, and the like. The anticipation for this visit was correspondingly high. The restaurant's social media presence and collaborations with influencers suggest a BBQ experience on US standards. What we actually got was, unfortunately, rather disappointing. For my birthday, seven of us came and ordered two BBQ MAX platters for 4-5 people each, plus beef ribs. According to the description, this should be enough for 8-10 people. The disappointment was immediately palpable. There was hardly any brisket, which should be the star of every BBQ, on the platters. Maybe half a slice per person. When we wanted to reorder, we were told: "No extra orders are possible for larger groups." They also shouldn't have given us the beef ribs. It wasn't included in the budget, as we were told. For €450, that was simply too little. We fully expected to end up with leftovers, but instead, it was the other way around. Some of us weren't even really full. The food also fell short of expectations in terms of taste. Solid to good, but by no means exceptional. The BBQ sauces seemed intentionally creative but unbalanced. A classic US-style sauce, as one would expect, was completely missing. The ambiance? Beer benches under tents – uncomfortable, unloving, zero atmosphere. For a restaurant that presents itself so professionally online, this seems more like a half-baked pop-up attempt. What bothered us most was the obvious discrepancy between the online presence and reality. The portions on Instagram and YouTube appear significantly larger. We all had the feeling that influencers get a certain "camera bonus." Those who come as regular guests are more likely to experience a lighter version. Conclusion: If you're used to real American BBQ, you won't get your money's worth here. The show is good, but substance, authenticity, and hospitality fall by the wayside. We certainly won't make the long journey from Munich again.

At the restaurant today because you have to experience it for yourself. Don't be put off by the various negative reviews; you should always form your own opinion. The food was exquisite, the service was exceedingly polite, and the price/performance ratio was absolutely right. In any case: highly recommended. I'd be happy to come back.❣️
