So gut haben wir schon lange nicht mehr gegessen. Mein Mango Curry mit Hähnchen war sehr fein abgeschmeckt, das Gemüse hattet Biss und Geschmack. Hähnchenfleisch lecker, saftig und knusprig paniert. Service war schnell und freundlich. Absolut zu empfehlen 👍

Ich bin wirklich enttäuscht von meinem Besuch. Das Essen war tatsächlich lecker und die Atmosphäre war auch in Ordnung, aber der Service war eine absolute Katastrophe. Wir mussten extrem lange warten – teilweise über eine Stunde auf unsere Gerichte. Noch schlimmer: Es kam kaum jemand zu uns an den Tisch. Wir wurden einfach ignoriert, obwohl wir bestellen wollten. Die Menüs lagen die ganze Zeit bei uns auf dem Tisch und wurden nicht einmal abgeholt. Getränke wurden vergessen, unsere Bestellung schien komplett unterzugehen, und wir mussten mehrmals nachfragen. Selbst einfache Dinge wie Stäbchen für Sushi wurden uns nicht gebracht. So einen schlechten Service habe ich wirklich selten erlebt. Es ist sehr schade, weil das Essen eigentlich gut ist – aber unter diesen Umständen macht ein Besuch keinen Spaß. Ich hoffe wirklich, dass sich der Service in Zukunft deutlich verbessert.

Fing mit einem dreckigem Glas an, danach haben wir über eine Stunde auf das Essen warten müssen, lautstark der Bedienung hinterherrufen müssen das noch jemand aus der Gruppe ein Getränk bestelle möchten und mündete in kaltem Hühnerfleisch in zwei Gerichten. Also ich gehe dort nicht mehr hin.

Nachdem wir im Juni letzten Jahres bei GEM sehr gut und gemütlich gegessen hatten, wollten wir es uns letzten Samstag mit der ganzen Familie wieder mit einem guten Essen in angenehmen Umfeld gut gehen lassen. Leider wurden wir bei GEM sehr enttäuscht! Zu unserer großen Überraschung wurde uns ein Platz auf der Terrasse zugewiesen, was bei anfangs 10, später 8 Grad Celsius Außentemperatur schon eine „sehr spezielle“ Art des Umgangs mit Kunden ist. Bei der telefonischen Reservierung wurde nicht gesagt, dass man nur noch außen etwas frei habe, so dass man sich hätte darauf einrichten können. Kurz nach uns kam eine weitere Familie, die online gebucht hatte und ebenfalls von der Entscheidung des GEM Personals, die Gäste bei winterlichen Temperaturen auf die Terrasse zu setzen, sehr überrascht wurde. Zum Glück parkten wir ganz in der Nähe, so dass wir uns dicke Jacken und Wolldecken aus dem Auto holen konnten. Nach einer Wartezeit von mehr als eineinviertel Stunde, als wir immer noch kein Essen bekamen, war es draußen nicht mehr auszuhalten und wir wechseln nach drinnen, als wir dort eine Bewegung vernahmen. Ein Platz im Innenraum wurde uns jedoch nicht vom Personal angeboten; wir erhielten diesen nur, weil ein Familienmitglied sich an den frei gewordenen Tisch stellte und nicht mehr zur Seite wich, bevor dieser Tisch abgeräumt war und wir uns dort hinsetzen konnten. Dies war leider nicht die einzige Zumutung hinsichtlich Service und Einstellung den Kunden gegenüber an diesem Abend. Bereits bei der Getränkebestellung auf der Terrasse wurde, anstatt des bestellten Kirin Ichiban ein Asahi Bier gebracht (wie man eindeutig am Flaschenetikett sehen konnte). Solch ein Fehler kann ja mal passieren, und wäre bis dahin auch „einfach nur menschlich“. Auf den Hinweis, dass ich ein Kirin Ichiban bestellt habe, erhielt ich von der Bedienung als Antwort „Das ist Kirin Ichiban“. Auf den nochmaligen Hinweis, dass dies eine andere Biersorte ist, wiederholte sie „Doch! Das ist Kirin Ichiban!“. Des lieben Friedens willen habe ich dann auf mein geliebtes Kirin Ichiban verzichtet, auch wenn ich aus meinem Japan-Urlaub wusste, dass dieses natürlich ein völlig anderes Bier ist und es auch völlig anders schmeckte. Auch bei den Mahlzeiten verlief es nicht ohne Probleme. Circa anderthalb Stunden nach unserer Bestellung kam das Essen und es wurden andere Fleischsorten zu den warmen Gerichten (die mäßig warm waren) gebracht als wir bestellt hatten. Bei einem Menü nahmen wir in Kauf, das billigere Hähnchen anstatt der Ente bekommen zu haben. Bei einem anderen Menü ließen wir dieses noch austauschen. Beim bezahlen hätten wir gerne noch einmal nachgesehen, was uns letztlich berechnet wurde. Die Bedienung fragte ja auch, ob wir den Beleg haben möchten. Als wir aus dem Restaurant gingen, sahen wir, dass sie uns aber gar nicht die Endabrechnung mit den einzelnen Rechnungsposition, sondern nur den Beleg der Kartenzahlung gegeben hat, auf dem nur die Endsumme steht. Zusammen gefasst, können wir nur sagen, dass wir in höchstem Maße von diesem (zuvor einmal sehr guten) Restaurant enttäuscht wurden und wir uns mindestens zweimal überlegen, ob wir dort noch einmal essen gehen werden.

Meine Mutter und ich, wir zwei beide, sind durch Zufall auf dieses tolle Lokal gestoßen. Und da uns der erste Besuch in diesem kleinen aber feinen Restaurant so sehr begeistert hat, sind wir am nächsten Tag gleich wieder zum Abendessen hin gegangen. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen wird mit ganz frischem Gemüse zubereitet, dazu gibt es wahlweise Fleisch, Geflügel oder auch sehr schmackhaften Tofu mit Reis oder asiatischen Nudeln. Es war ein absoluter Gaumenschmaus und sollten wir wieder mal in Limburg sein, wird dieses Lokal unsere erste Wahl sein.

Wir hatten für 2 Personen um 18.30 Uhr einen Tisch reserviert und waren schon um 18.20 Uhr vor Ort. Unser Tisch war schon frei, sodass wir uns schon setzen durften. Neben uns waren weitere 3 Tische frei. Die Leute kamen 10,20, und 30 Minuten nach uns an. Wir haben 40 Minuten warten müssen, bis wir unsere Bestellung abgeben konnten. Getränke kamen weitere 20 Minuten später, unsere Vorspeise (1x Gyoza) kam nach weiteren 20 Minuten und kurz später auch das Sushi (GEM-Platte). Wir haben also insgesamt 1 Stunde und 40 Minuten auf unser Essen gewartet, was ja mal passieren kann. Frech fanden wir, dass alle 3 Tische (auch jeweils 2 Personen) ihr Essen alle vor uns bekommen haben und auch schon vorher bestellen durften. Als wir unser Essen bekamen, waren die Anderen schon am bezahlen und waren teilweise schon gegangen. Dazu muss man sagen, dass unser Essen im Vergleich zu dem der anderen nicht mehr und somit auch nicht mehr Arbeit war. Auf die Frage nach Feedback, haben wir freundlich unsere Kritik geschildert und bekamen die Antwort „ja… Küche ist sehr langsam. Sorry“- Erklärt aber nicht wieso nur wir um einiges länger warten mussten als alle anderen. Das war wirklich sehr schade, deshalb nur 2 Sterne, welche mir auch sehr schwer gefallen sind zu geben.

Sanitär Anlage war teilweise defekt. Essen war eher so lala, Sushi ist okay. Wir würden nicht wieder kommen.

Preislich und von der Qualität her gut. Die Bedienung war hilfreich und es war lecker. Das Wasabi war zwar geschmacklich super, aber etwas lasch, nur mag das regional so aber besser ankommen. Das Gemüse der Tom Yam Suppe war perfekt knackig und geschmacksintensiv. Insgesamt sehr gut. Das Sushi sah top aus und schmeckte ebenfalls. Ist gespeichert, wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder.

We were looking forward to Asian food, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. There was no trace of the expected flavorful dishes. Clearly, neither the duck nor the vegetables had been seasoned. The service was inattentive, with staff dressed in baggy sweatpants and down hoodies. On the counter were packaging for takeout orders. A cart with similar items stood in front of it. Overall, it had the feel of a fast-food joint at best. When we asked if we enjoyed our meal and answered no, there was no response. He most likely didn't hear us, as he turned away immediately after we finished asking. A shame.

We were there today and were shocked. The food was really bad, and we sent both plates back almost full. We weren't even asked if we enjoyed our meal. The service was totally unfriendly. That was the first time and definitely the very last. Price/performance ratio = terrible Unfortunately, you can't give negative stars; one is way too many.

I've never eaten such fresh and good sushi as there. The food was simply amazing; it definitely won't be my last visit.

The food was very good, but some of the food we ordered never arrived and was forgotten, but it was still a shame. There's still a lot of work to be done in terms of organization.

Unfortunately, my last visit wasn't so good. It took an hour and a half for the sushi to arrive, and it was freezing cold inside. After the hygiene issues on verbraucherfenster.hessen.de, I won't be ordering from there again anyway.

We visited Gem as a couple. The veggie sushi was delicious, but the service was abysmal. It took a good ten minutes just to order our drinks and food. Shortly after the food arrived, our drinks were empty, but we weren't asked for refills. We also had to get soy sauce ourselves. Overall, all the guests had to constantly compete for the attention of the waiters because no one was served or asked for their own advice.

So, I've eaten there four times now, and I have to say, every time it's been very good. The food and its quality are top-notch and outstanding. I didn't have to wait too long for the food; everything was perfect. The large terrace, with flowers, palm trees, beautiful lighting, and a beautiful view, and now even with music, is beautiful in summer or when the weather is nice. A very nice ambiance, making it fun to eat outside. I highly recommend it and will definitely come back ;-) Thumbs up and 5 stars

Udon noodles with crispy duck - very tasty.

Really delicious food. We sat at the very bottom of the… I can't say exactly, the walls? It wasn't bad, just no natural light. The terrace there is probably cool in the summer. But the food was really delicious. It was our second time there. The first time, we had to wait an extremely long time and we were incredibly hungry. Luckily, it was quicker the second time. It was delicious both times. The staff was really friendly, even though it took a really long time the first time.

Main course very tasty, sushi on the other hand was only okay (some of the portions were large)

We were there on a Sunday evening, with two people. The service could have been friendlier and more attentive. The table was dirty. Since I often eat sakura and nigiri, the quality of the fish was not satisfactory for the price. There is a better Japanese restaurant in Limburg with the same prices and excellent quality. When it came to paying, the waiter insisted that all tables pay in cash. Anyone who thinks this is a scoundrel is a scoundrel. We guests also looked at each other because everyone was astonished. Unfortunately, only two stars. The assistant who was there tried very hard.

We've been there several times, but today the service was not only unfriendly, they constantly served new guests, had to wait a very long time, orders were incomplete, etc. If you're in a bad mood, you should stay home!

The food was super good and reasonably priced. Despite the busy restaurant, we, eight people, were served quickly. The ambiance inside was fine. The service seemed a bit understaffed with just one person, but everything worked perfectly. Highly recommended!

I've been here more often because of the good food and the fair prices. But that was definitely the last time today. The service is underground. You have to beg to be allowed to order drinks at all. As I said, the food is good, but it's just not enough to feel good. Then all the drinks were served incorrectly and my food didn't come until everyone else was finished. No apology or anything. Simply disastrous from start to finish. It's actually a shame. Maybe you should replace your waiters or expand the team and improve the service. Ambiance is like a train station hall. No music, just employees screaming loudly.

Was here with two children, food was very appealing, portions were plentiful. Sushi 🍣 soooo fine and incredibly delicious 😋 again and again.

Beautiful restaurant, excellent food. I recommend the red curry. The staff aren't overly friendly, but they still make you feel at home. The iced teas are also really delicious.

We ate here today and were very satisfied. As a starter some sushi and main course grilled chicken breast with mango sauce. There were fresh vegetables and the sauce was wonderfully creamy and you could taste the mango really well. My best mango sauce yet! We would come again.

Have reserved a table for 8 p.m. We were ignored at the door for 15 minutes until we were finally sent to our table. After another 45 minutes we were allowed to order food, which arrived after another 45 minutes. The rolls are also far too small for the price. NOT recommended if you are hungry and/or want to have a nice evening

Amazing food, delicious sauces, and a perfect combination of ingredients! We enjoyed the Salmon Tempura, Sake Supreme, and Crunchy Sake. We loved everything and experienced true gastronomic pleasure 🤤. Absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much!

Very tasty sushi Service not that attentive

Very tasty sushi for a very fair price. The seating is ok (a bit dark), the only drawback to the location for me are the toilets. These are located below a very narrow metal spiral staircase. So absolutely age/disabled friendly. The staff is very nice and the food comes in a reasonable time.

So far I've only had good experiences, but I have to adjust my rating due to the way we were treated. We were at GEM on October 19, 2024 with 6 people. The food was great as always. When paying, the bill should be split. It was our turn to pay first. Apparently there was a problem with the terminal and the cash register system when booking. However, Googlepay and the banking app confirmed the payment immediately, which we informed and showed to the operator. However, GEM's cash register system did not record receipt of payment. The employee then insisted that we pay again; the evidence from the banking app and GooglePay were not relevant to her. She then said that the others would pay first and then we would see if anything had happened. After the rest had paid, no booking was still visible in the cash register system. Since she continued to ask us, we paid the outstanding difference, which was lower due to a booking error in one of the other partial invoices, the original amount was €57 then €33. We were told that if the money was debited we would get the money back next week. The following week on October 23rd I stopped by again to inquire about the status as the money for both payments had now been debited from the account. The fault clearly lies with GEM, as the problem arose in their cash register system and the decision based on this to make us pay twice. But I was treated as if we had done something wrong. After I continued to insist on the refund, they said it should be done the next day. Nothing has happened since then! Today on November 16th, 2024 I went to GEM again with the receipts from the table and the receipts from the bank. First they asked for further evidence even though I had all the receipts with me, then I had to wait for a colleague. He then checked the receipts again in the cash register system and then gave me the €57 in cash. Instead of immediately apologizing for the mistake and trying to appease the customer, we were forced into the debt and had to run after our money!!! and it felt like we had to start all over again, even though the behavior of the waitress on October 19th was already incorrect and we only agreed to it because we often ate at GEM and ordered. That's why the fact that we are treated like this is really a shame, disappointing and reflects poorly on GEM.

Food was excellent, very friendly, pleasant atmosphere. We'll be back.

Sushi is a disaster! Location very nice

We spontaneously chose this restaurant and found the staff very friendly. Even without a reservation, we were offered a place outside under the heaters. The food tasted great and was also rich. If we were in Limburg again we would eat there again.

I can't understand the extremely good reviews. Average sushi in restaurant atmosphere. The starters were the best of the food we ordered and consisted only of convenience products. The sushi was very carelessly prepared and was soggy. I've never seen an inside out roll in a tofu coating that wasn't described that way on the menu. The dessert only consists of purchased, ready-made products. I advise against a place on the terrace. In some places there is a pungent smell of garbage.

My absolute favorite sushi in the Limburg area. We probably order there every 1-2 weeks and a visit to the restaurant is definitely worth it. Simply delicious!

The food tastes neither good nor Asian. Cheap mayonnaise smeared on sushi might be “Asian Fusion”. Prices astronomical and unjustified for the cheap food. The atmosphere is nice, the service is not unfriendly but not overly engaging either. Overall disappointing and very expensive for what it offers. The fact that a 10% tip is simply added to the card payment is more than cheeky.

Quite good! Unfortunately, the new location is not suitable for pickups at all. The street near Woolworths is very narrow and there is still a construction site there at the moment. The cash register didn't work today either and I had to wait about 15 minutes and drive our car back and forth while my mom picked up our food. That was a bit stupid. But I've been here several times (at the old location) and it's always tasted delicious and the service has always been friendly. Price-performance is completely ok.

Update 1 year later: we were here for the second time because we were so excited the first time. After the move it is a really great location. The sushi is still super good. Unfortunately it took a very long time for the food to arrive. 1st visit: Great recommendation! Great selection and super tasty and fresh sushi. It just tasted so good and was very quick (but there wasn't much going on at lunchtime). Prices were also simply great. Very cozy and very nice service staff. We will definitely come back.

The wait was far too long until the food was served (more than 45 minutes) Sushi itself tasted ok - unfortunately some of the rolls fell apart. Soy sauce only came when asked.

Overall, the price-performance ratio for the sushi was not appropriate. The second round of drinks ordered before the meal didn't arrive until after the meal. It seems as if they were overwhelmed by the size of the new premises.

We waited 45 minutes for our sushi, although it was a very small order anyway. The shop was empty except for 3 other tables, one of which arrived 15 minutes after us and another had already eaten. The sushi tasted okay. However, the rice used for both the sushi roll and the nigiri was far too little. Unfortunately, the salmon wasn't of high quality either but had thick white streaks of fat running through it. We were disappointed and unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Top, very, very tasty and exceptional!

When we arrived the small sushi bar was very full, but we still managed to get a seat even though the remaining free seats were reserved. Thank you for that, not every restaurant does this but here the timing was right. The menu offers many different sushi variations, everyone will find something here. The lemonade was very refreshing and delicious. Anyone who has never had good sushi will really have a different experience here. The food and drinks cost €47, but this is completely fair and justified. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. All in all, a really great sushi restaurant.

I haven't lived in Limburg for half a year and I still think about this vegan sushi. I've never eaten better anywhere. So definitely try it!

Super delicious food, but...... A complete disaster at the weekend. Service and chef completely overwhelmed and unreasonable. It's better to continue taking orders over the phone instead of serving customers on site. I canceled my second order on the advice of the service person because it was taking longer. We had about 10 different types of rolls and they were all delicious. The service was great. The waiter even taught my daughter a way she could use the chopsticks (she has always struggled with it). I would recommend coming here if you are looking for good sushi.

We tried maybe 8 different types of rolls and every one was delicious. While I liked some more than others, none of them were not good. The mochi ice cream was amazing and the mango sticky rice was wonderful (but very small). The waiter was so nice and helped my daughter use chopsticks for the first time by wrapping the napkin around the ends. She was thrilled. 100% recommended!

Small cozy restaurant with very friendly staff and very tasty food

Hello, the taste of the sushi was okay for me, but unfortunately I found the price-performance ratio to be unsuitable. I ordered an amount of sushi that was usually more than sufficient for me, but was unfortunately very surprised by the size of the inside-out rolls. They were almost as big as the maki and unfortunately I wasn't completely full.

Order placed on the phone. When I picked it up half of it was wrong! No apology, just disappointment in the visit

Friendly service, very tasty food.

Due to the surprisingly small dining room, we as a group of 6 only had the choice between two tables, both of which were near the entrance door. It wasn't really comfortably warm - when we opened the door, the cold moved in, so unfortunately the small heater at our table didn't do much. The service was attentive and friendly. The sushi platters were served quickly, contained a great selection of different variations, tasted fantastic and were very visually appealing. The creations could have been a little larger because no one was really full afterwards, which is unusual with an average of twenty sushi per person. Maybe we are too spoiled by other sushi places in this regard 🤔 Overall, it was a nice evening with very good quality sushi - but in the future we will prefer to pre-order and pick up our wishes 😊

Hervorragendes originelles Sushi zwischen dem Landgericht Limburg und der Altstadt. Sehr freundliches Personal und faire Preise. Herausragendes Mittagsangebot mit leckerer Misosuppe. Auch der hausgemachte Minz-Ingwertee ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Top Sushi, nix dran auszusetzen!

Ich war heute in diesem Sushi Restaurant und meine Erfahrung war einfach hervorragend! Die frischen Zutaten, die kunstvolle Präsentation und der freundliche Service haben mich beeindruckt. Jeder Bissen war ein Geschmackserlebnis, das ich nicht vergessen werde. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen und freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch!

Essen mega toll und die Köche ebenso. Leider ist mir heute aber was ziemlich komisches passiert. Ich hatte ein Dessert bestellt und wollte ein extra Löffel damit eine Freundin auch was probieren konnte. Ich entschuldigte mich auch da ich ihn nicht nerven wollte. Der Löffel kam ziemlich dreckig und klebrig und ich wollte einen anderen. Die Person die uns bediente nahm sich extra viel Zeit und brachte mir ein Löffel aber er wollte, dass ich es anschaue ob es okay ist. Er war Übernett schon zu einem Punkt dass es komisch rüber kam. Ich hatte ein komisches Gefühl und wir benutzen den Löffel nicht. Als wir bezahlten fragte der Kellner nur mich ob mir das Dessert schmeckte und nicht den anderen die auch was zu essen hatten. Mein Unwohles Gefühl hatte sich also festgestellt, der große breite Kellner mit Brille hat ernsthaft was ekelhaftes mit dem Löffel gemacht. Also falls ihr da essen geht lasst euch nicht von dem bedienen.

Ich habe noch nie so leckeres Sushi gegessen! Die Saucen sind der Hammer. Die Bedienung war super freundlich, also rundum zufrieden, ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Bestes Sushi in der Gegend, sehr nette Leute. Der Laden ist sehr klein, deswegen würde ich bestellen oder abholen empfehlen. Vor allem ist das Mittags Menü vom Preis unschlagbar.

Waren heute das erste mal im GEM. Sehr leckeres Sushi und die Limonade auch sehr lecker.

Im Allgemeinen ist es wichtig, dass Sushi, das mit Bildern auf der Speisekarte dargestellt wird, auch entsprechend serviert wird. Wenn die Bilder ohne Soße sind, sollte das Sushi ebenfalls ohne Soße angeboten werden! Preislich m.E. für die Qualität und Größe nicht angemessen.
