We didn't have a reservation and it was full, but we were still offered a table very quickly. The food was delicious, and the service was very friendly.

We found the host and the food absolutely fantastic! I haven't felt so comfortable and relaxed in a restaurant for a long time, and the dishes were a very pleasant surprise in terms of value for money. I have to particularly highlight the delicious schnitzel dishes. Large portions for under €20 – it was a real treat for us. The dessert was also very good, and as I said – all at a sensational price. If we're ever in the Hanover area again, we'll definitely come back. Unfortunately, there aren't many restaurants like this left. We give it five out of five stars 🙂

The service is very friendly; nothing is too much trouble for them. The dining room and the adjoining room were packed, even on a Thursday lunchtime. Then the food arrived. Wow. Plenty of food, good taste, everyone was happy. Where can you get a Milanese schnitzel these days? The prices were reasonable. Since it was over 35 degrees Celsius, the beer garden was closed; it wouldn't have been bearable there anyway. The decor and ambiance are a bit dated. The adjacent marquee, right next to the building, can accommodate large parties. We were very satisfied.

We found this place by chance. Very nice location, several lunch options, good food and decent prices. The service was swift and kind. I'd definitely go there again. The only challenge we had, was that their machine for card payment was defective, but that should be fixed soon.

Today, I spontaneously went to the Gastwirtschaft Rust with my husband. It wasn't a problem that we didn't have a reservation. I have to say, we were thrilled when we looked at the menu. Finally, some German dishes at reasonable prices. The food was served very quickly. Everything was freshly prepared and the portions were really good and hearty. All in all, the service and food, as well as the drinks, were just what you'd expect. We'll definitely be back.

A restaurateur who doesn't need new customers. We were assigned a table. When we pointed out that it was our first time there and we wanted a different table because it was drafty, he literally said, "Either you take the table or you can leave." Therefore, we cannot rate the food.

Hello everyone, I can only warmly recommend the restaurant. When we are there, we always try to please the guest. I don't want to say we are regulars...since we travel around and try out a lot in the area/region...we like variety. However, when we are there, I always find the food very lavish, you or I have the feeling that you get something for your money here. Unfortunately I can no longer say this about other restaurants...the prices are more expensive and the food is smaller. I also think the option of outdoor space is a very good solution, also with regard to smokers/e-smokers. I live less than 500m away as the crow flies. As far as I know, the owner/operator has been there for 15-20 years, maybe longer. The “boss” is there himself and ensures a lively, refreshing and loose conversation with a completely friendly, open word. Personally, I think it’s great 👍🏻 (Editor's note: I don't hold my tongue either and don't go into the basement to laugh) We'll be there again in the next few days, have invited friends there for dinner, and I'm already looking forward to a juicy schnitzel with fried potatoes, a side dish and a cool, foamy drink...probably with several: Please let the air out of the glass again...thoughts.😎🤭 We don't have far to go. I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Rust inn in Langenhagen and was completely impressed. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy. The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes from home-style German cuisine. The service was attentive, personal and friendly, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I can highly recommend the Rust inn and am already looking forward to my next visit.

We've eaten there about ten times now. Last weekend we invited a couple of friends there and all we can say is that the food is absolutely great value for money and can hardly be topped. A visit is worth it. In any case, when we go out to eat, we actually only go to the Gasthaus Rust. Tasty food in really huge portions and at an affordable price. The owners are very nice and you can talk to them in Polish :). Close to the highway, an ideal place for a quick dinner while traveling. We recommend!

Here you can have really rustic and good food. Good German cuisine with filling portion sizes and there are specialty days with game, ribs, grilled food, etc. I can really recommend it!

Went there at 7:30 p.m. and was turned away in a completely rude manner. The last order is taken between 7:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. We weren't even really in the restaurant when the young lady turned us away in a completely rude manner. We then go to the Greek restaurant around the corner, which is highly recommended. Thanks Rust for nothing.

Unfortunately, the restaurant has suffered a lot in recent years and the visual impression in terms of cleanliness no longer meets our expectations. The food is okay, but you should also pay attention to the “coziness” aspect. It's a shame, we enjoyed going there.

We went there for dinner today after a visit to Hanover Airport. The boss welcomed us very friendly. The atmosphere is rustic but still pleasant. When we arrived we were the only guests, but this was because we were there between main meal times. We ordered 4 different schnitzels. Viennese, with mushroom cream sauce, with fried onions and with fried eggs. The food came quite quickly and was delicious. The portion is more than sufficient. The croquettes were crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside. The side salad is crispy and fresh, and the coleslaw included is also very tasty. The schnitzels are on point! Price/performance was great. If we're nearby, we'd love to come back. Highly Recommended!

The furnishings are as you would expect from restaurants of the past, dark wood, rustic. Comfortable seating with benches that were great for me to sit on. I had schnitzel with potato gratin. It was very, very tasty, the portions fill you up, which is always very important to me. Service was good and the price is interesting for those on a budget to dine there. Clear recommendation!

I was here today for the first and not the last time. As part of a birthday party (approx. 20 people + children) we received a very friendly welcome with a pleasant dose of humor. There is absolutely nothing to criticize about the service or the food. In my opinion, the atmosphere corresponds to that of a good, middle-class, rustic restaurant. We felt very comfortable.

Very good middle-class restaurant with an adjoining lounge - this is beautifully designed and attractively decorated for celebrations. The food is prepared according to good home-style cooking - greetings from mother/grandmother... and that is meant in a very positive way. Large portions, well seasoned and very affordable prices. The address from the owner and the service staff are pleasant. The inn is definitely recommended. The opening times are very helpful. Recommendation: continue in the same way!!!!
