We've been regulars at this restaurant for a long time and have never been disappointed. The dishes on the menu are well-seasoned, and the chef clearly knows his craft. The daily specials always offer a pleasant surprise or two 😊. We were a party of eight for the Christmas buffet, and it was simply superb. The duck was tender and crispy, which is the ultimate goal for a buffet. Absolutely fantastic! 👍🏻

There was a bit of a wait, but otherwise everything was top-notch from A to Z.

We ordered half a duck to get into the Christmas spirit, and the meal was simply divine. The duck was served with red cabbage (and apple wedges and cranberries), croquettes, and a heavenly sauce. Since you can never have too much sauce, we were even given an extra pitcher without having to ask. The duck was cooked to perfection, the skin was amazing, and the sauce was pure poetry. All that remains to be said (jokingly): If the electric chair were waiting for me tomorrow, I would want this meal as my last! 😉

Having already been invited to a birthday celebration at this lovely restaurant and been so impressed with the food, we simply had to try it again, especially now during the Christmas season. We were here on a Sunday at lunchtime and felt very comfortable. It was game season, and we chose something from the wide selection of game dishes. The appetizers and main courses arrived perfectly on time, looked fantastic, were generously portioned, and tasted delicious. The menu features seasonally changing classics of German and international cuisine. We were very impressed by the high quality of the dishes, which the kitchen clearly prepares with great care, and we'll definitely be back! Oh, and almost forgot: the dessert menu is also worth a look!

The half duck was tender, the skin crispy, everything - including the plates! - very hot, and the service was friendly, unobtrusive, and flexible!

We were there for our team Christmas party. Unfortunately, it's not a restaurant I would recommend. The schnitzel was raw, and when I asked about it, first the server and then the cook came. Both tried to tell me that was normal. Very unfriendly. And to top it all off, they cut off the piece of meat, threw it back into the fryer along with the fries, and it was as dry as shoe leather afterward. The fries were rock hard. And then I still had to pay the full price of €19.90 even though they cut off the meat. The restaurant smelled strongly of a musty, old cellar, making it impossible to enjoy your meal. The only decent person in the place was the young waitress. She was friendly and very attentive. The evening was terrible, uncomfortable, and not at all welcoming. You got the feeling that at some point, you were no longer valued as a customer. You often had to ask for drinks, and eventually, the restaurant stopped ordering them on its own. I will never visit or recommend this restaurant again. I will never visit or recommend this restaurant again. I'd give zero stars if I could. They write that they welcome constructive criticism, on equal terms and with the necessary respect. Well, it seems the server/chef didn't show any respect for the guest (me) that evening.

Our group of 22 thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas party, which included a fun-filled evening of bowling followed by a delicious dinner at the restaurant. The visit was a success in every respect. As always, the choice wasn't easy, because in addition to the delicious basic dishes, so many current specialties were tempting. Yesterday we enjoyed the Cordon Bleu with savory Black Forest ham and sweet prunes. The combination was once again divine. And as always, the service was very friendly and attentive. In short: top-notch cuisine of the highest standard in a welcoming, family-run atmosphere! Don't let the image of a sports club mislead you. This restaurant is miles away from that. Definitely worth a try.

Today was our first time eating at Leibniz56, and we were very pleasantly surprised. We both ordered kale with Bregenwurst (a type of sausage) and smoked pork loin, respectively. The portions were generous, the value for money was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. For dessert, we had a wonderful crème brûlée, which we could only eat because we always seem to have an extra stomach for sweets! ;) We would especially like to commend the very courteous, friendly, and attentive staff, as well as the little electronic serving assistant "Bella," which diligently helped with serving and clearing the tables. We felt very comfortable at Leibniz56 and will definitely be back.

We finally managed to visit Leibniz56 for the first time with dear friends. Without a doubt, the food and drink selection makes it a restaurant that enriches Langenhagen. We'll be back at the beginning of April… Perhaps we'll ask for a smaller portion next time, if possible. The very, very delicious cordon bleu with green asparagus was a bit too much for us, so we didn't have time for dessert.

After the pandemic, change of ownership, fire, and water damage, we hadn't been here in a long time and were pleasantly surprised. We received a very warm welcome in a tastefully decorated setting. The owner showed us to our reserved table. Our coats were taken and shown to the cloakroom. While we were being served the menus, she also pointed out the specials menu. We ordered from both the regular menu and the specials menu. All the dishes (cream of tomato soup, lamb cordon bleu, and pork medallions "Batamog") were served promptly and beautifully presented. Yes, presentation matters. During our visit, the friendly server attentively (but unobtrusively) checked in several times to see if we had any further requests, which were then promptly fulfilled. A nice touch: "Bella"—the serving robot that assists the staff. We believe Leibniz56 is a real asset to Langenhagen's culinary scene and much more than "just a sports club"! August 2025: Our visit to Leibniz 56 yesterday was once again completely satisfactory. A definite thumbs up! October 2025: After enjoying the culinary skills of the Leibniz 56 team several more times, we decided to hold our birthday party there. In retrospect, that was a great idea! Even the initial consultation with Mr. Weick went perfectly. He presented us with various suggestions and ideas for the planning and execution of the celebration. The birthday party was a complete success. Even though another event was taking place at the same time, and the restaurant was also operating as usual, the Leibniz team had everything under control. Not only we as hosts, but also our birthday guests were absolutely delighted. Even now, our friends are still commenting on the wonderful party.

There were four of us for goose dinner. I've never been served such a good goose before. I usually only eat the breast, but even that was incredibly juicy and very crispy. The gravy, which I really appreciate, was divine. The whole meal was rounded off with a very flavorful red cabbage and excellent dumplings.

Four weeks ago, I personally inquired at the restaurant whether a private skat group would be welcome, provided we met regularly once a month to play. Ideally, we would have a separate room so as not to disturb other guests; naturally, we would also like to dine. Our interest was noted favorably, and we were assured that there were plenty of separate rooms available. I made the reservation in the presence of my wife, and I explicitly provided my phone number. We were greatly disappointed when, on the reserved date, a private event was taking place, the kitchen was "generally closed," and we were informed that "card players" were not welcome in a restaurant anyway. Had the person taking the reservation—presumably the son of the owners—overstepped their authority? And why hadn't our reservation been canceled by phone as soon as it became clear that the evening was reserved for a owners' meeting? Our group of three certainly felt highly unwelcome, even though I had done everything possible beforehand to avoid precisely such misunderstandings. Not only were we unable to play cards that evening, but we were also only offered food "as a courtesy," on the condition that everyone ordered the same thing. It was an unpleasant situation for everyone, but one that could have been handled much more elegantly by management with a bit more professionalism. Even if they admitted that "something went wrong" with the reservation, a little friendliness and perhaps a complimentary drink would have eased the situation. In the future, we will certainly hold our card game, combined with a good meal, at the competition, which appreciates regular customers and doesn't make us feel unwelcome. Naturally, after this experience, we will also refrain from holding any business-planned corporate events there.

The food is good. You can tell the chef knows his craft. Given the prices, you'd expect everything to be fresh and well-prepared. The service is a bit of a drawback. The robot "Bella" seemed more of an obstacle to me. You can usually get two main courses carried as they are. However, you can see firsthand how unfriendly the restaurant's guests/athletes are treated. As an outsider, you wonder if this is actually a club restaurant!? [Update 08/25] Now only one star, because they seem to be too keen to recognize their own faults and generally only see them in others. The topic of "respect and/or friendliness" is a two-way street; you should take this to heart.

We had a wonderful evening at Leibniz yesterday! The restaurant is currently offering a French menu, the Boeuf Bourguignon was really outstanding! Homemade and really absolutely high quality! Extraordinary restaurant with excellent cuisine. We will come back here again. The selection of dishes is very extensive.

A good location to meet, hang out and eat well.

We (5 adults + 2 children) left the restaurant completely satisfied after an entertaining few hours. From the excellent starters to the tasty, not too spicy Asian dishes to the dessert (great creme brulee) - everything was very good. Our granddaughter was fascinated by the serving robot. Everyone had fun. Our three previous visits to the restaurant without rating always left us very satisfied. Even without a big reason: we'll be back!

It was nice that we received such a warm welcome here after the sport at 9 p.m. and were able to try the house delicacies: homemade brawn from the farmer's duck, goat cheese, currywurst and “Long-Hagener Burger” - accompanied by e.g. B. through the freshly tapped Pils or the “Rubin”. You could often end your activities here in the evening.

The bowling alley ran perfectly. The meal afterwards was also very well received by our clients. We are already looking forward to our next visit with you 🙏

Home-style cooking with a high level of craftsmanship, a good selection of wines with fair prices and super-friendly service. This is not what you would expect in a restaurant that is part of the sports facility. Finkbeiner (HAZ) was right - chapeau! A real asset (not only) for the neighborhood.

We are a sometimes larger, sometimes smaller group. This time there were 5, we were already 12, and at the moment there will be a maximum of 18 people. It is never a problem for Leibniz to adapt to this. Thank you for that! The food is great, the service is very friendly, and so is the ambience. We will definitely be visiting there often!

Good food, friendly service, flexible response to changing conditions

We invited our 9 birthday guests to dinner and were greeted warmly and helped to put our coats away. From taking the orders to the service, which was assisted by Bella - a serving robot - everything was perfect. The dishes that accompanied our orders ranged from the small things at the beginning (capaccio, small duck brawn with mango chutney, lamb's lettuce florets and Hokaido pumpkin soup) to the main things (country goose, braised venison haunch nuts, venison goulash, venison shank) and the sweet stuff at the end (fruit groats with coconut ice cream, Chocolate cakes) were all very tasty and also delighted our guests. In addition to the food, there was also a large selection of different drinks. In summary, we can highly recommend it and will be happy to come back.

The Weick family put an incredible amount of effort into the organization in advance, the meal discussion, the preparation of the room and the entire service during our daughter's 18th birthday. We were all very excited and would love to come back. A nice highlight of the celebration was that we were also able to book the bowling alley on site. I can only recommend this to anyone who is there with smaller/younger guests. Thank you again to everyone, it was a great party :)

The food was good, but there was far too little choice for vegetarians. What bothered me was the music on the terrace that was way too loud and inappropriate. The prices are okay and there is little you can do to ensure that it is a club restaurant with the charm of a club restaurant. But the entrance isn't really inviting.

Not an ordinary clubhouse but a tastefully decorated restaurant with very good cuisine, good service and fair prices. During theme months there are also exceptional offers with corresponding prices.

More appearance than reality First of all, the food tasted good and was plentiful, and the prices were high. But everyone can judge for themselves what awaits us. Reservation for 11 people for a birthday, when we arrived we were shocked to find a card on the table saying that for 10 or more people only a small selection (5 dishes) was possible. No starter, no dessert (dessert was offered later at the table). We read the menu on the homepage beforehand. South African weeks with many dishes in addition to the normal menu. Not a single dish was on the mini menu. Reorders for drinks were forgotten or only processed after repeated requests. Anyone who came without a reservation was better off. I find this underground, as do some others at the table. You shouldn't show off to guests like that. The last visit for me.

We celebrated our wedding here in the restaurant. Were welcomed with a champagne reception, everything was beautifully set in the hall. There was a cold starter buffet, the main course was delicious and the dessert was also well chosen. In addition, everyone could drink freely for a fixed flat rate. In summary, Leibniz 56 offers a modern atmosphere and a variety of high-quality dishes at fair prices.

We celebrated our wedding with you at the beginning of June with 63 adults, 3 children and 3 babies. However, the event did not meet our expectations in any way. Despite choosing an exclusive menu, our guests remained hungry as the quantity of food was not nearly enough. In addition to the insufficient quantity, the quality of the food was disappointing and the presentation left a lot to be desired. There was little to no refilling, although we were later informed that there was a lot of food left that was ultimately thrown away. While we were outside taking photos, the remaining food was cleared away and apparently thrown away. This explanation is incomprehensible to us and shows a lack of flexibility and customer orientation. It makes it seem like it would be easier to hide the fact that you didn't prepare enough for the number of people. Why should one use the excuse that the food was thrown away instead of adding more when there was still so much left. We also agreed to serve the wedding cake at a certain time. Although the schedule was adhered to, this was too early in our celebration program. Our request to cool the cake again was rudely refused. As a result, the cake sat in the room at almost 30 degrees for 1.5 hours and began to melt. The service during the celebration was also unsatisfactory. Drinks were only served once at the beginning, after which our guests waited up to 1.5 hours for more drinks. Some guests picked up their own drinks at the bar, although this cannot be expected of all guests. The unfriendly tone of the staff, who made statements like "Chill out, we're at a wedding here and the evening is still long or it's a wedding party here and not a marathon" was completely unacceptable. The support from the staff was inadequate because they were also handling day-to-day business in the restaurant and therefore seemed overwhelmed. This excessive demand was clearly passed on to our guests. Another problem arose due to the presence of our wedding presenter. At the start of the celebrations, guests were told that if they had any questions they should contact him and he would clarify it with the "pub staff." This was met with rejection by the host and the staff as they were of the opinion that they did not want to be directed by the moderator. To this day, we ask ourselves since when the word “personnel” has become a swear word. Finally, the host's resistance to criticism was disappointing. Instead of constructive feedback, the blame was placed on our wedding presenter, who had no influence on either the food or the service. In summary, we can say that our experience was severely marred by organizational deficiencies and poor service.

Dear Team, We were very positively surprised! Our last visit to the “clubhouse” was almost 20 years ago. What you've done with it is truly incredible. Very nicely designed guest rooms, especially if you know the origin. The food was very good and far above the standard of a clubhouse. Despite three closed societies, the service was attentive, fast and friendly! Greatest respect for this. The dishes on the menu are very appealing and negative reviews are incomprehensible. We will definitely come back to try out more of the menu and recommend it to you accordingly. Many thanks to the entire service team for a wonderful and successful evening. Keep it up!!

We celebrated our “50 Years of Abitur” reunion at Leibniz 56 at the end of May. We have already had a good time there at a few preparatory meetings in the beautiful ambience and the attractive outdoor area. We had a few special requests, all of which were fulfilled with a good price/performance ratio. For the actual meeting, we had a beautifully decorated hall with access to the outdoor area with enough seats, very good food, friendly service (since we had name tags, we were also addressed by name - very pleasant!). There were over 50 people and everyone thought it was great. Not a single person complained, and that's saying something!

Unfortunately, this restaurant is not suitable for a sports club. After more than 15 years in the bowling club, the service here is unfortunately not good. You feel very unwanted. You are served with demotivation and listlessness (the young man in service gives off the feeling that he doesn't like working there, at least on a Saturday evening.) And the answer is that the service doesn't like serving people like us because we drink alcohol drink??? If we had at least been drunk, but we were very far from that (max. 15 beers for 5 people, including Alster and a bottle of mixed drink under 20%...) Sorry, but a celebration won't take place without alcohol being served ...The food itself is rather upscale and not for everyone. If there is a complaint, there isn't even an apology...Unfortunately, there isn't enough of a selection of normal dishes that would suit a sports restaurant. When it came to paying, things suddenly escalated because they no longer knew what we had ordered, so we were billed incorrectly and we were accused of making the mistake... it wasn't a concession from the boss, but on the contrary, he gave us credit Recommended as a bowling group not to come back. And yes, we like to turn our backs on them, because bowlers are not welcome here...it's a shame

We celebrated our wedding there at the end of February. It was absolutely brilliant and exceeded all expectations. The service was attentive and incredibly attentive, everything was lovingly organized and designed, everything went absolutely perfectly. The restaurant itself seems cozy. However, the rooms for larger groups are sparse, uncomfortable and carelessly furnished. The food did not meet expectations. Price/performance is not right here. Really good for a clubhouse. Very suitable for celebrations or events. The quality of the food is really good, better than you would expect. That's what you pay for, of course. Compared to the prices before the fire damage, it is clear. But you also get something in return. I ordered goulash today. Unfortunately the last portion was just gone. The alternative was venison goulash, which was not on the menu. For 18.90. Price/performance was excellent here. That was excellent! Thank you!

Correction to my review Unfortunately I have to downgrade my rating to the minimum possible. In the aftermath of my review below, no conversation was sought or the behavior towards the guest was reflected. On the contrary, attempts are made to defame the reviewer via Google as a fake account in order to get rid of the unpleasant review. This is of course easier. But it also allows you to look deeply. So I have no choice but to downgrade the overall rating to the minimum. A pity. ****'* We went for a roast duck dinner with a group last week. Which was also delicious. Previously, the contact when inquiring and ordering was very friendly, we were offered the club room with 12 people, which is very comfortably furnished. Which we accepted with joy. Unfortunately there was a very unfriendly male waitress that evening. He couldn't understand a guest's reasoning. This could have been clarified more politely! Things then continued because bills were allegedly not paid. When asked that same evening whether everything had been paid, witnesses said that everything had been paid. The next day I received an email saying that several items had not been paid for. The following day they were on site to clarify this and, if necessary, to settle the alleged outstanding invoice. There, too, the service was very unfriendly and you felt like you were a cheater. We were very disappointed, especially because they gave a recommendation. That doesn't work at all in the catering industry. It's a shame too, because we thought we had discovered a new restaurant again.

We were here today for a buffet Christmas dinner. It was really great. The only thing better than the delicious food were the employees! Courteous, polite, friendly, always with an eye for the customer! When the buffet was empty, it didn't take a minute for it to be freshly refilled. Simply excellent, compliments! We'll definitely be back.

The winter food with red cabbage and game is good, the ambience is still a bit DJH-like, but it will be okay. Overall, a great performance after the fire.

I celebrated my birthday there. The room was lovingly and elegantly decorated. The buffet was excellent. Everything coincided with the planning discussed. My guests were very satisfied and I was the happiest person because everything was perfect. Thank you Arndt and team
