Gaststätte Zur Tulpe in Bernburg (Saale)

Dear Schulze family, dear team at the Hochschulkrug Strenzfeld! On March 4, 2025, the children from the Sonnenkäfer daycare center in Neuborna visited you for a field trip. We were welcomed with a delicious breakfast. Afterwards, Ms. Schulze explained the kitchen rules to us, and we were given aprons and headgear. The tour of the kitchen showed us, to our astonished eyes, large kitchen appliances, a pile of potatoes, the stocked storage area, and we were able to watch our food being prepared. The children asked many questions and told Ms. Schulze their favorite food. On the grounds, the children were able to let off steam, use the playground equipment, meet Schulze's dog, Pepe, and watch deer. Our day was rounded off with a delicious lunch. We thank you for this wonderful experience. When we eat at the daycare center, we know exactly where it is prepared. We would love to come back. The food was really good, fresh, well-prepared, and tasted solid. The ambiance was also appealing, rustic, and cozy. Unfortunately, the staff seriously spoiled the overall impression; they were very unfriendly, listless, and showed no discernible interest in the guests. One felt more like a nuisance than a welcome. It's a shame, because the restaurant itself actually has a lot of potential; with a little more friendliness and attentiveness, it would be a truly lovely place to eat and linger.
