Since we didn't stay overnight, only the restaurant is included in the rating. A perfect combination of classic German and Indian cuisine. We are always surprised at how delicious the food is here! The picture is rounded off by very friendly service. We would love to come back and give it 12 out of 10 points!

Stopped in for lunch and were excited. The food was good and freshly prepared, the waiting time was short, despite the large crowds. The friendly, attentive service rounded off the visit, so we will definitely stop there again when we are in Kronberg.

Food in the restaurant: Cozy traditional Äppelwoi cupboards. Very tasty dishes. Friendly and courteous staff. Nice beer garden!

Today we visited the Gaststätte zum Schützenhof and can in no way agree with the negative reviews. Wonderful ambience, delicious food, good service and no long waiting times. We ordered two juice spritzers, both very tasty and not watery, and to eat a schnitzel pan with fried potatoes and crusty roast with bread dumplings. We were very surprised at how good the food was! The dishes included a coleslaw and a green salad. Coleslaw was very tasty, two different dressings and still had a pleasant bite. The green salad is fresh, not low-quality iceberg lettuce, but fresh lettuce, different types and also a different dressing than the coleslaw. Generally very fresh and tasty. It's actually different from a side salad that you're used to in restaurants. The schnitzel pan was served still bubbling (!!). The potatoes were super tasty, big pieces, no thin slices, a bit crispy and beautifully prepared. The schnitzel pan was still juicy and probably freshly prepared, well seasoned and also a reasonable portion. Also very nicely presented. The crusty roast was served with (presumably) homemade bread dumplings and Burgundy sauce. Juicy meat, tender and tasty. Bread dumplings were really good, with larger pieces of onion, looked and tasted homemade. The sauce was also delicious, the entire composition was very tasty. Overall, a very good traditional German meal, everything fresh and juicy. We'd love to come back!

Unfortunately I have to agree with the other bad reviews. The Schützenhof is a traditional restaurant in Kronberg, which unfortunately has changed tenants frequently in recent years. It's really nice to sit in the garden in summer. So we thought: Let’s give it a try. I had lamb vindaloo, my wife had matjes in the German housewife style. Neither was good at all. I would have at least expected the lamb vindaloo to be a delicacy from Indian innkeepers. The lamb vindaloo was moderately spicy, the sauce was slightly sour, there were only a few pieces of lamb. I've had much better food elsewhere. My wife really likes to eat herring with white sauce and potatoes. She said it was way too sour. The two pieces of herring didn't really look good either. I don't know if we were just unlucky. Nevertheless: We won't go here anymore.

Seems like a original german restaurant, but it is owned by Indians and the menu is half German half Indian, but not in a fusion type of way. The food was incredibly bad, and the service as well. Eat down the street instead there are some actual German restaurants.

You think you're getting German cuisine. However, it is a mix of German and Indian food. Then it's better to pretend to be Indian and offer real Indian food. Our salad was not good at all and expensive. Don't come here anymore.

Unfortunately, the “Maultaschen” offered with a colorful salad plate were fried, with a thick crust, cut in half and very greasy. The “colorful salad plate” consisted of canned white and red coleslaw, 2 tomato halves, 3 slices of cucumber and a mountain of lettuce floating in cooking oil. A colorful salad plate with Maultaschen is something completely different. The menu, half German, half Indian, reveals that the dishes are approached differently here. We should have noticed that the consistently “traditional German cuisine” atmosphere promises something different. It's a shame, so no recommendation. The service was friendly.

An extremely disappointing experience! Right from the start the service was extremely unfriendly. Our waiter was not only rude and unhelpful, but aggressive. You really don't expect that kind of behavior in a restaurant. Furthermore, the food and service was a big disappointment. The dishes were not cooked properly and left much to be desired. We had to point out that the food was still raw, which was met with incomprehension by our waiter. Overall, the evening was anything but pleasant and I cannot recommend this restaurant at all. Poor service and unacceptable food leave a lasting negative impression.

This is what a tarte flambée with salmon looks like. When I asked where the salmon was I was given a rude answer and what did you want for 17 euros. When I refused to pay for it we were rudely told we had to pay for it. Bad restaurant, I don't recommend it!

We are Kronbergers and find the boss's behavior often rude and hostile towards us. The son is always friendly towards us. The older generation can still learn something. We are happy to be surprised. The food is good. Cleanliness in the toilet is good. Just become friendlier.

Both Indian and German food have been very good. Very friendly, fast and pleasant service. In the summer the terrace with the trees is very pleasant.

Yesterday we visited this quaint restaurant with German and Indian cuisine for the first time. In the hot temperatures, the outdoor area with the large trees was a great relief. We ordered 3 vegetarian curry dishes, which all tasted great. The service was also very courteous and always friendly, even when it was busier. We'll definitely be back!

Yesterday we went to the restaurant “Zum Schützenhof” in Kronberg for the first time and we were absolutely thrilled! You can relax in the idyllic outdoor area. The owners are very welcoming, we immediately felt at home😊 The service was outstanding & the Indian dishes tasted delicious! We had palak paneer, aloo ghobi and bhindi masala. A real culinary highlight😍 We can highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back!

I've had Indian food there twice so far. The service was quick and the food was delicious.

The asparagus was average and with 4 sticks just not enough and 3 slices of ham the price was not appropriate. My wife's Indian food was probably good. I think you should keep the map smaller then this won't happen. What should be emphasized is the friendliness and the beautiful beer gardens

I recently dined at the Indian-German restaurant and had an interesting culinary experience. The schnitzel was quite good. However, I found that the Indian dishes truly stood out with their rich flavors and authenticity, surpassing the German offerings.

Disastrous service: We had dinner there with 6 people in the evening. Actually, we were supposed to order a hot chocolate for two children each, as it says on the menu, but the waitress just replied to us in dismay: "We don't have anything like that!". Ok so no hot chocolate. Then two people ordered a drink individually, and a large bottle of still water with glasses was to come for the rest. One glass too few was put on the table, the waitress turned around without comment and left again. When it came to eating, things got really absurd: a jug of cutlery was placed on the table, which contained 6 knives, 4 forks and exactly 1 napkin. If you were even a little attentive, you might have noticed that that wasn't enough for 6 people. But that wasn't the case, we had to ask (several times!) at the counter for the missing things to be brought. Then the food was served: But only for 5 out of 6 people, one person then had nothing on the table for 10 minutes. In addition, a dish was brought incorrectly (normal schnitzel instead of schnitzel with cheese and bacon gratin). So initially 2 out of 6 people had nothing to eat. Then a few minutes later the correct schnitzel was served, but the final dish for the 6th person still wasn't served. Another 5 minutes later a dish came for this person. Lamb curry with naan as a side dish was ordered. Curiously, tagliatelle noodles were then served, a completely different dish. And it was so late that everyone else had already finished eating. Not a word of apology for the numerous mistakes that had already occurred at this point. Then we waited another 10 minutes, then something was served again: correctly lamb curry, but with rice as a side dish (instead of naan). And that even though the waitress asked when taking the order what kind of naan it should be. We were really "satisfied" by this catastrophic service and the fact that no one ever said a single word of apology. We will never set foot in this restaurant again.

After a wonderful visit to Kronberg Castle, we stopped at the Zum Schützenhof restaurant and were thoroughly impressed. Particularly noteworthy is the child-friendliness of the restaurant: the food for the children was served very quickly, which is particularly important to us as a family. The menu offers a successful mix of home-style German and exquisite Indian cuisine. My Indian dish was simply amazing, full of flavors and cooked to perfection. My companions' dishes were also praised and made every bite a delight. Another highlight is the beer garden, which invites you to linger when the weather is good. Sitting outside, surrounded by beautiful nature and in a relaxed atmosphere, rounded off our experience perfectly. The Zum Schützenhof Kronberg restaurant exceeded our expectations and is a real insider tip for anyone looking for an excellent meal in a cozy environment after visiting the castle. We will certainly come back and can highly recommend this place.

Das Restaurant Zum Schützenhof in Kronberg beeindruckt mit exquisiter Küche, wo jedes Gericht ein kulinarisches Erlebnis ist. Das Personal zeichnet sich durch Freundlichkeit und Professionalität aus, was den Besuch zu einem rundum angenehmen Erlebnis macht. Este típico restaurante alemán se encuentra justo a la entrada del casco antiguo de la preciosa población de Kronberg im Taunus. Cuenta con salones interiores y un amplio, magnífico y sombreado biergarten. Su carta es muy amplia, encontrando en ella sopas, ensaladas, hamburguesas, salchichas, schnitzel, así como otros muchos platos. Acudí para comer, optando por schweineschnitzel Wiener art, que venía acompañado de patatas fritas y una ensalada en plato aparte. Completé el plato principal con una salsa de crema con champiñones que se paga aparte. El schnitzel estaba buenísimo y además era de un muy buen tamaño; en cuanto a la ensalada, muy buena y muy bien aliñada. Con una cerveza de medio litro, la cuenta sumó 21,70 €. La atención, buena y bastante rápida. Comentar un par de detallitos que no voy a penalizar: solo admiten tarjetas de crédito alemanas y no traen la cuenta en papel; solo nos dicen la cantidad, aunque coincidió escrupulosamente con lo que había pedido. Más que recomendable.

Wirklich ein sehr gutes Schnitzel dort gegessen. Andere Freunde hatten indisches Essen, welches auch sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Die Kombination hab ich selten in so guter Qualität gesehen! Top.

Habe ein sehr leckeres Hühnchecurry gegessen. Service schnell und aufmerksam! Die Preise sehr moderat! Ambiente draußen ganz gemütlich. Komme auf jeden Fall wg der indischen Gerichte wieder!

Schönes Restaurant mit tollem Biergarten am Rande der Kronberger Altstadt. Gelungene Kombination aus indischem und deutschem Essen, beide Landesküchen schmecken tatsächlich sehr gut. Die Inhaber sind sehr sympathisch und wenn wir in Kronberg sind, dann schauen wir definitiv rein.

Die Bestuhlung im Außenbereich muss dringend erneuert werden. Schlecht ist außerdem, daß die Herrentoilette nicht Barrierefrei zugänglich ist.

Unfortunately, I will not be returning here. After having drinks and snacks with friends we wanted to split the bill. To be fair there were many customers, but the waiter told us that we were bad customers and, after I made him aware of how unfriendly I perceived his treatment of us, that they didn't need us to come back. This treatment of customers is in my opinion unprofessional and unacceptable.

Charming biergarten with delicious local food. A bit slow service but thanks to the high quality food and atmosphere didn't mind too much. Also surprisingly offer a full Indian menu, which we didn't try.

우선 직원분들이 굉장히 친절하셨습니다. 독일에서 방문한 식당 중에 가장 만족도가 높았어요. 이 식당때문에 크론베르크에 다시 방문하고 싶을 정도입니다. 슈니첼은 말할것도 없이 너무 맛있었어요. 기대했던 마음을 절대 실망시키지 않은 맛이었습니다. 추천해요 :) 그리고 치킨?커리가 생각보다 너무너무너무 맛있었습니다. 인생에서 먹은 커리중에 제일요. 두개의 조합이 너무 좋았어요. 크론베르크를 가게 된다면 꼭 이 집에서 식사를 해야합니다! 최고!
