The food is really a treat for the palate, especially the Wiener Schnitzel is highly recommended! The atmosphere is very chic. Unfortunately, one star was deducted because the waiter came across as a bit arrogant towards us and unfortunately spoiled our feel-good atmosphere.

The Wiener Schnitzel is top class, service is top and friendly. Unfortunately, for me, the Kaiserschmarrn needs to be improved. But like everything, it's a matter of taste.

One of the best schnitzels I've had in many cities. Quick serve. Friendly service. It seemed expensive, but considering the quantity, it was okay!

We were warmly welcomed, advised and looked after by the host Marcel. As he promised, the schnitzel was the best there is! We felt very comfortable and would love to come back :)

Ich kann das Gasthaus Adler nur empfehlen. Waren zum 1. mal dort Essen. Aber nicht das letzte mal. Man wird super freundlich empfangen. Tolles Team und bester Service. Ich hab wirklich schon lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Es ist ein absoluter Traum. Der Kaiserschmarren ist ein wahres Meisterwerk. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Yesterday we had dinner at Adler for my birthday. My impression is a little mixed... What I definitely have to mention very positively is the very courteous service to the guests - that's really worth 5 stars... very attentive and quick... Starter beef tartar top - you really can't complain about that, the hand cheese was also good... Main course, well... my husband had the gnocchi, which was unfortunately overcooked and totally over-seasoned, the boiled beef which I had was TOP... Dessert Kaiserschmarn, Unfortunately it wasn't homemade and was burnt and hard...the white chocolate parfait was too hard in my opinion - looked more like a lump of ice cream. The plates were nicely prepared - the kitchen team can definitely… The restaurant also has a good selection of wines, this is where lovers come in! The prices are not excessive either... What I think is a shame, the food and wine list on the internet is unfortunately not up to date - especially when it comes to wines, I was looking forward to one or two wines in advance - but the vintages and wines were no longer available... Nevertheless, we found two great bottles... We will definitely give the Adler a second chance and stop by again…. Best regards

Food very tasty! (schnitzel was perfect) Unfortunately service can be improved... Very long waiting times for service, the table wasn't cleared for a long time, no question was asked if you wanted anything else. The restaurant wasn't full, but apparently the service was still a bit overwhelmed. Or you haven't seen an employee for a long time. For a rather high-priced restaurant, the service needs to be much more attentive. It's also a shame (the wrong food was also brought to the table and then we had to wait 20 minutes for the right one)

An enrichment for Kronberg for my husband and me. The beer tastes particularly good here. The food is also something different from what Kronberg usually offers. Our dogs 🐕 are always welcome here too. Thanks

Delicious food in beautiful surroundings. I still have to work on how I interact with people in service. The prices are a little higher, but certainly reasonable. Life is just getting more and more expensive 😉

Recently I had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Adler Kronberg and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From arrival to departure everything was perfect. Ambience: The restaurant impresses with its cozy and inviting ambience. The furnishings are modern and stylish without appearing cold or sterile. You immediately feel comfortable and welcome. Service: The service was extremely friendly and attentive. Our questions were answered competently and our wishes were promptly fulfilled. You could tell that the staff put their heart and soul into their work. Eat: The food was simply delicious! I had the Wiener Schnitzel, which was fried to perfection. The meat was tender and juicy, the breading was crispy and the side dishes were fresh and appetizing. Particularly noteworthy were the spaetzle, which were perfectly prepared and had a wonderful taste. Finally, I treated myself to the Kaiserschmarrn, which was also a poem. Light, fluffy and with a delicate sweetness – simply perfect! Conclusion: The Adler Kronberg restaurant is highly recommended! Everything is just right here: ambience, service and food. If you love Austrian cuisine and are looking for a special culinary experience, this is the right place for you. I will definitely come again!

Very nice restaurant! Good menu with changing dishes and classics, careful wine selection, friendly service and nice and clean rooms. I had the herb soup with asparagus and the Wiener Schnitzel and both were really great!

Food top - no defects and a great presentation Dialect of the employees: Authentically practically good :) Ambience: a wonderfully sociable evening, the volume was optimal for talking and perfect for feeling comfortable. I'm super satisfied and looking forward to the second time.

We have now been to Adler four times and each time we have been pleasantly surprised by the quality and service. Yesterday a classic for the asparagus season: asparagus with veal schnitzel. It was fantastic. There is now a small Kaiserschmarrn on the menu (still enough for two people) - a delight with roasted walnuts and super fresh applesauce. A real recommendation. Service was courteous, warm and with the guest in mind. In this respect: 5 stars.

Very delicious meal! I ordered the lamb shank special. It was cooked really well and came with paprika along with smooth and buttery mashed potatoes. It was paired with some delicious white wine. The service was very professional and the waiter was very attentive the whole time. The desert was also delicious, we had “Kaiserschmarrn”. Atmosphere is modern and comfy set in a beautiful historic building.

Promises a lot, delivers little. Which is to be taken literally. Seldom seen such a tiny portion of cheese spaetzle. Service very inattentive and I felt like this was on purpose. The only positive thing: very nicely renovated house. We won't be coming back.

Seriously? - My new favorite in Taunus! Where else will you be warmly greeted personally by the boss as soon as you walk in - as a new guest!?! In general, the entire staff is very attentive, super friendly and accommodating and gives you the feeling that you have been a welcome regular guest for years; How beautiful is THAT! And then the delicious Austrian cuisine - where else can you get SUCH a great Wiener Schnitzel? Certainly not even in Vienna! And when I look at the menu, there is still a lot to discover and try at Gasthaus Adler - and that's exactly what I'm going to do! My absolute recommendation for an (already multiple) award-winning guesthouse!

Unser absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant im schönen Taunus! Wunderbare Atmosphäre, stilvolles Ambiente und erstklassiges, köstliches Essen! Bei Marcel fühlen wir uns immer super wohl! Übrigens sehr hundefreundlich. Und wenn es einen guten Anlass zum Feiern gibt, kommen wir immer wieder gerne aus Frankfurt hierher.

Das Essen war super lecker, geschmacklich wirklich sehr gut! Das Servicepersonal ist überaus freundlich! Man fühlt sich sehr wohl, cooles Ambiente! Preise sind gehoben, aber die Qualität des Essens auch!👌🏻

Die Bedienung erkennt nicht, dass Kommunikation zwei Richtungen hat. Bei mir war es so, dass die Kellner etwas zu mir sagten oder mich etwas fragten, aber nicht willens waren, das von mir Gesagte anzunehmen. Die Bedienung stammt aus dem Ausland oder aus bildungsfernen Schichten oder erfüllt beide Gruppenmerkmale. Peinlich wird es, wenn nur ein, zwei Gäste im Gastraum sind: Dann schwirren die Kellner völlig sinnfrei im Raum herum, und die Unsicherheit und die Nervosität stehen ihnen in das Gesicht geschrieben. Gut ist die Getränke- und Speisekarte.

Schön ist's dort. Und gut. Die gehobene Küche lässt man sich, zurecht, auch gut bezahlen. Wir waren zu Acht dort und haben Vorspeise, Hauptgang und auch Nachtisch verspeist. Die Tafelspitz-Consomée mit Klößchen zum Start war gehaltvoll und wohlschmeckend. Karotten- und Selleriewürfel, Frühlingslauch, ein gebratener Leberknödel und ein Käseknödel (?) haben diese gute Suppe abgerundet. Drei der vier Männer am Tisch haben dann die Medium-Palette ausgereizt. Je einmal medium-rare, medium und medium-well beim Rib Eye Steak mit Kartoffelstampf. Bei allen Dreien war es auf den Punkt. Dazu Fleisch in top Qualität, das mit wunderbaren Röstaromen auf den Teller kam. Die Salat-Gemüse-Bowl mit Backhendl-Streifen, die meine Frau hatte, war wohl auch top. Der Kaiserschmarrn zum Finale war ein echter Genuss und der Ratschlag unseres Obers, eine Portion für vier Personen zu nehmen, war nicht nur wohlgemeint sondern, wegen der schieren Größe auch zutreffend. Es war ein toller und genussvoller Abend und das Einzige, was mir nicht so gut gefallen hat, war das sehr kumpelhafte Umgehen der Ober mit den Gästen. Ansonsten: Geht hin und genießt das gute Essen dort.

Zufällig entdeckt und sehr beeindruckt! Sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Das Essen war neben anderem sehr frankfurterisch, traditionell, aber in der Interpretation gediegener und aufgewertet. Ambiente auch sehr angenehm. Bequeme Sessel, die zum Verweilen einladen.

Super Essen und super Service. Sehr aufmerksames Personal, aber nicht aufdringlich. Essen super lecker und toll angerichtet, die Desserts sind absolut empfehlenswert. Preise sind gehobene Gastronomie, aber wie ich finde angemessen.

Der Zufall hat uns ins Gasthaus Adler geführt und wir wurden von einem außergewöhnlichen Service und köstlichen Gerichten auf Sterneniveau überrascht. Das alles gab es zu einem absolut fairen Preis. Vielen Dank für diesen perfekten Abend, an den wir uns gerne erinnern werden.

Für ein solches Restaurant-Erlebnis muss man lange suchen. Das Essen ist regional, aber kreativ wie in der Sterneküche. Die Grüne Sauce war der Hammer, un denkt bitte nicht an die übliche Darreichung. Nein: Feine grüne Soße an Kartoffelschaum. Ein Gedicht. Ein Tartar, wie im Adler, mit Brombeeren und hauseingelegten Gurken sucht man selbst in Frankreich lange. Auch wenn es für mich nicht um‘s Ecke ist, werden wir wiederkommen. Aber das Beste ist die herzliche Atmosphäre und Spitzenteam in Restaurant und Küche. Könnte ich doch nur 5+ vergeben.

Wir waren an einem lauen Sommerabend im Adler zu Gast. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten das Tartar, einen Salat mit Backhändl und ein Wiener Schnitzel sowie Bier und einen leckeren Weißwein. Insgesamt waren sowohl Service & Ambiente gut bis sehr gut. Das Essen war auch gut -- allerdings ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis im Adler leider nicht gegeben, so schön es dort auch war. Das passt nicht, zumal die Portionen auch nicht so üppig waren, dass man hier einen Ausgleich hätte sehen können. Ich muss sagen, dass ich den Adler wirklich sehr gerne mag und auch gerne zu Gast war, aber für meinen Geschmack ist das Restaurant zu teuer. Sorry.

Sehr leckeres Essen und ein wirklich sehr aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service. Wir hatten einen tollen Abend mit hervorragendem Essen. Man wird bei allen Fragen sehr zuvorkommend beraten. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich und trotzdem elegant. Toll auch das man in großer Runde(8Personen) gleichzeitig Essen bekommt und der Service weder hektisch noch unkoordiniert wird. Bravo und Danke an das Serviceteam. Also auf jeden Fall nicht unser letztes Mal. Ein besonderen Dank an die Köche, ihr zwei habt das zu einem besonderen Erlebnis für uns gemacht.

Für 15 Personen hatten wir an einem Donnerstag Abend reserviert. Der Empfang war nett, die Tische schön eingedeckt. Den ganzen Abend über wurden wir vom Personal überaus aufmerksam und freundlich bedient. Ich war mit dem Essen sehr zufrieden, hatte zu Beginn einen Handkäs (mit sehr spannendem Dressing), dann den Tafelspitz mit Polenta (interessante Kombination) und zum krönenden Abschluss habe ich mir noch mit drei Kollegen Hintis Kaiserschmarrn geteilt. Der Grauburgunder aus Rheinhessen war lecker. Ein Großteil der Kollegen hatte das Schnitzel, auch hier nur zufriedene Gesichter. Denke mal wir werden wieder mal vorbeischauen. Und vielleicht schafft es bis dahin auch jemand eine funktionierende Internetpräsenz für den Adler zu erschaffen. Im Jahr 2023 sollte so etwas ja kein Hexenwerk mehr sein?

In dem kürzlich eröffneten Gasthaus im Zentrum von Kronberg wird vorwiegend Österreichische Küche angeboten. Wir haben das Wiener Schnitzel probiert - und waren enttäuscht. Der Kartoffelsalat bzw. die Pommes Frites waren lieblos auf den Tellern platziert, so dass die beiden Schnitzelteile auf dem Teller vom Platz her schlecht zu essen waren, was optisch auch nicht gerade gut aussah. Der Kartoffelsalat war viel zu trocken, das Kalbsschnitzel - zwar in welliger Panier - auch nicht gerade saftig, aber in Ordnung. Enttäuschend der Kaiserschmarren, der so angebrannt war, dass man ihn nicht essen konnte - er wurde auch nicht berechnet. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der ausgezeichnete Service, sehr zuvorkommende, freundliche und noch dazu kompetente Mitarbeiterinnen.

Mit großer Vorfreude waren wir kürzlich zu zweit abends dort essen. Leider hat es gar nicht überzeugt. Bedienung sehr freundliche Schülerin, hatte aber gar keine Antworten auf unsere Fragen. Prosecco kam nicht gekühlt und überzeugt nicht, süßlich. Mein Gin Tonic kam auch ganz ohne Dekoration. Der Backhendlsalat war nicht hübsch angerichtet, erster Eindruck nur grüner Salat - versteckt drunter kam dann noch Kartoffelsalat hervor. Dressing säuerlich. Gesamt überzeugt einfach die Qualität leider nicht. Ich schreibe die Renzension in der Hoffnung auf Besserung, da das renovierte Gebäude sehr hübsch ist. Da grünliche Licht im Eingang ist nicht sehr charmant. Leider ist das Publikum im Taunus eher anspruchsvoll. Also, ich drücke die Daumen beim Nachbessern ! Die Gäste kommen einmal, maximal zweimal, wenn es nicht passt.

Wir haben das Gasthaus bei Stadtbummel durch Kronberg entdeckt. Die Tische draußen waren so einladend gedeckt, dass wir spontan dort gegessen haben. Die Küche ist österreichisch angehaucht und das Essen war phantastisch. Alles hat nicht nur wunderbar geschmeckt, es war auch ein Genuss für das Auge. Wir empfehlen zum Abschluss sich unbedingt noch den mit kandierten Walnüssen servierten Kaiserschmarrn zu teilen - oder als Hauptgericht für eine Person zu bestellen - der beste Kaiserschmarrn, den wir je gegessen haben. Dazu ein grüner Veltliner, wunderbar. Bei unserem nächsten Urlaubsaufenthalt in der Region kommen wir gern wieder!

This restaurant is very nicely located in the old town of Kronberg and we had a nice seating outside. The problem is that the service is VERY slow and inattentive. Every step takes time and nothing happens without asking a few times. The Tagelspitz was nice but an extremely small plate, looked more like a starter and left us hungry. The Schnitzel instead was more than a large portion and actually pretty good. So go for the Schnitzel and bring a LOT of time.

Das Gasthaus Adler hatte vor einigen Wochen in unserem schönen Kronberg geöffnet und heute haben wir es zum ersten Mal probiert. Fazit: wir waren überrascht! Die Küche ist österreichisch vom Stil her (Wohlfülessen!) und ich muss sagen, das dies heute eins der besten Schnitzel war das wir außerhalb von Österreich gegessen haben. Mein Mann ist Österreicher und hat einen sehr hohen Anspruch was Schnitzel betrifft. Das Schnitzel war vom Kalb, dünn geklopft und die Panade perfekt. Dazu gab es einen Erdäpfelsalat. Das Bier, was nicht fehlen durfte, war ein Stiegl Bier aus der Salzburger Region. Ein wirklich rundum sehr gutes Essen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und empfehlen das Restaurant sehr gerne weiter!
