Super affordable and delicious food by the fireplace. We'd gladly go back anytime.

The price/performance ratio is excellent, the food is delicious, and the staff is also excellent. All in all, I highly recommend this place. Anyone who has something to complain about here should, in my opinion, change their psychotherapist if they already have one. Reiner and his staff do an excellent job.

We were at Reiterhof Essen again today. We had Krüstchen (small sausages) and Jägerschnitzel (hunter's schnitzel) with salad. Friendly service and delicious food at an unbeatable price 👋👍👌 Thank you so much 🙋🏻‍♂️

The value for money is unbeatable. The dishes are simple, but they're decent. Service is good. I recommend the waffles.

To put it bluntly, if you don't enjoy your work, you shouldn't do it! The service is very rude, they don't give you a card without asking, and all the answers are very rude and unprofessional! Never again.

A very unfriendly landlady. We came as a family with three children and wanted to sit outside. There were only four tables. We didn't think anything of it when we wanted to sit with five people. She shouted at us in an unfriendly tone that this wasn't possible. She didn't give us a reasonable explanation. She only allowed us to sit inside. The restaurant was moderately busy, and there was plenty of space for us to sit outside. We then left.

THERE'S A FAKE REPORT FROM A KARL --- SUSE AND REINER ARE STILL HERE. THERE'S NO CHANGE OF TENANT. GOOGLE SHOULD DELETE THIS!! IT'S ALREADY BEEN REPORTED... GOOGLE MUST RESPOND. The food is great, whether it's weapons, ice cream, or hot meals, everything tastes really good. We always love coming to you, whether it's summer or winter. The value for money is unbeatable. Reiner and Susanne are also very nice hosts, something you don't find these days. We always feel like we're in really good hands.

Never have I felt more unwelcome than here. Very unfriendly service. The food wasn't great either. The salads were dressed far too sourly. The chicken on the salad was also sour and had no roasted flavor. It tasted more like it had been cooked. A waste of money.

New tenant, new motto! We were more than positively surprised when we stopped at *zum Reiterhof*. The food was perfect, to the point. Regional food at a high level. No wonder, the man of the house learned from Sergio Hermann, among others :)! We were personally served by the owner, as unfortunately there was little going on (which we didn't understand). Always happy to recommend, we will visit the restaurant again soon. A real insider tip! :)

It is a very simple restaurant overlooking the equestrian areas. We sat outside when the weather was nice and all the tables were occupied. The service is friendly but not warm. The lady was a bit rough to deal with, but that's how it is in the Ruhr area. The food was good and sufficient, but a little carelessly presented on plates that were sometimes a bit too large. I can recommend the Belgian waffle, it was great. Conclusion: If we were on foot again and wanted to eat something, we would end up there, but we wouldn't go there specifically.

Super great restaurant that I can only recommend. Nice atmosphere, very tasty home-style food, very nicely prepared. Price performance ratio unbeatable. Simple restaurant, directly with a view of the riding hall. You can see the girls/women training with the horses. The restaurant is also full of decorations (you can buy them). There are good dishes at good prices. The dishes could be larger to fill you up. For dessert there is, among other things: Waffles, ice cream, sweets. The lady who does the service is very friendly. One bike stand is a bit bland and not intended for large crowds. Otherwise good connections right along the way.

Solid cuisine at good prices with a great view. Gladly again!

Super gemütlich und urig.Konnten heute die Pferde beobachten. Die Currywurst mit Pommes waren 😋 lecker.Hausmannskost gibt es auch und Preisleistung ist Top.War gut besucht und das spricht für sich.Werde/n wiederkommen da ich unbedingt den Hamburger 🍔 probieren möchte

Sehr nette Gaststätte, freundliche Bedienung, super Waffeln.

Wir entdeckten die Gaststätte im Bochumer Gutscheinbuch und reservierten kurzfristig einen Tisch. Schon auf der Homepage konnte ich die Preise der Speisekarte gar nicht glauben. Vor Ort stimmten diese jedoch wirklich. Die Bedienung war freundlich und ein richtiges Ruhrpott Original. Das Ambiente auf der Terrasse war angenehm Die Suppe und die Schnitzel waren sehr lecker. Zwar kein Restaurant Niveau aber deutlich besser als in jedem Imbiss. Preis Leistung stimmt hier mehr als hervorragend. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen.

Die Gaststätte zum Reiterhof heißt Haus Kallenberg, so steht es auch an der Zufahrt (Bochumerstrasse). Vorgenantes nur zur Richtigstellung. Wir sind des öfteren hier und wurden nie enttäuscht. Ein wirklich gutes Peis Leistungsverhältnis. Das Ambiente ist jedoch sehr einfach gehalten. Man darf nicht vergessen, daß wir uns hier auf einem Reiterhof befinden. In jedem Fall absolut zu empfehlen. Bedienung und Chef sehr freundlich, man fühlt sich sofort woh, weil absolut ungezwungen. Der Aussenbereich ist sehr schön und bietet einen tollen Blick in die Natur und auf den Dressurplatz. Am besten hingehen und sich selbst überzeugen!

Schöne Terrasse mit Blick auf den Reitplatz. Wirklich sehr nette Eigentümer... Nette Bedienung und Gespräche. Kümmern sich auch gut um die Kinder. Rustikales sehr leckeres Essen, zu äußerst fairen Preisen.

Leckere Schnitzel, super hausgemachtes Schaschlik, wie man es sonst nur noch selten findet ! Echt gute Pommes, richtig gute Salate und auch das Eis zum Nachtisch war richtig lecker ! Alles, auch die Getränke, zu wirklich guten Preisen. Ich war jetzt schon oft mit vielen Freunden hier und wir waren alle der gleichen Meinung.

Das Restaurant ist von der Einrichtung ein wenig im 80er Jahre Style ohne aber altbacken zu wirken, sondern einfach gemütlich. Die Speisekarte umfasst vor allem gute Hausmannskost und ist sehr umfangreich. Das Essen selbst ist spitze und frisch zubereitet, die Preise dazu einfach sensationell. Die Betreiber sind überaus freundlich und man merkt, dass man willkommen ist. Hier gehen wir gerne wieder hin.

Sind über ein gutscheinbuch hierhin gekommen. Waren überrascht über gute hausmannskost und super preis -leistungsverhältnis. Bedienung war supernett. Innenausstattung rustikal. Großes Fenster mit blick entweder auf reitplatz oder in die reithalle

Sauber, einfach und sehr viel auf dem Teller für echt wenig Geld. Wer Luxus und Schnickschnack erwartet ist hier absolut am falschen Ort. Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte mal da.
