Always delicious, always a pleasure. The parking situation in front is a bit difficult.

Relatively expensive, quality ok.

Dinner was delicious and plentiful. The staff was very friendly. The price/performance ratio was excellent. We'd love to come back. It was a lovely evening. 😀

We already knew Thanen from the Pizzeria La Uma in Gudensberg-Dissen, where we always enjoyed our meal – and he completely impressed us again at Gasthaus Wicke! The food is fresh, lovingly prepared, and incredibly delicious; the schnitzels are especially delicious. Thanen is a warm, attentive host who makes you feel immediately welcome. The variety of dishes – German classics, Italian specialties, and Indian delicacies – is impressive, and everything is freshly prepared. A wonderful place to enjoy, one we highly recommend!

The food in the restaurant is great. We love coming here. The salad dressing is truly amazing, I have to agree with the previous review. We used to love coming here when the restaurant was still in Gudensberg Dissen. The owner is a nice, friendly guy. A true family man. There's a lovely beer garden. The restaurant is worth a visit 😌

We weren't guests at the hotel ourselves, so my review refers to the restaurant. We ate here with my parents on July 27, 2025. There were seven of us, and we ordered five different schnitzels and pizzas. All dishes arrived at the table at the same time. Both the pizza and the schnitzel tasted excellent! Everything is prepared absolutely fresh, and you can see and taste it. The service is super friendly, and special requests are accommodated without any problems. The schnitzels are also available as chicken schnitzels, so if you don't like or want pork, you'll be well catered for. The portions are perfect! The salad that accompanies the dishes is served beforehand and is just the right size. I have to mention the salad dressing, because it's absolutely amazing! There's a play area for the kids, which I always find particularly great. The price/performance ratio is absolutely right here! If we visit my parents again, we will definitely eat here again!

I'm glad I found this gem. The rooms are okay, the food, especially the breakfast, is really good. The restaurant is a cozy little space, and the kitchen also offers a few Indian dishes, but the menu isn't overly extensive. The location is also good, especially for business trips. The highway and gas stations are nearby, but the noise isn't too distracting.

Very clean and spacious single rooms, comfortable beds, and even blackout blinds on the windows. A good and plentiful dinner was served in the restaurant with courtyard seating. Overall, a highly recommended overnight stay in a district of Baunatal.

Hotel Review Check-in? Is it over the phone, as no one is available at the hotel. Go in and get the key. Internet: Works only sporadically. Facilities: There's not much to complain about; the furnishings don't seem very old. The beds are a bit soft. Unfortunately, there's no refrigerator in the room. Building: Much of it looks like it was done by a DIYer, but still acceptable. Service: Couldn't find any. New towels were put on the table once in a week. Location: There's probably only one reason to travel here: the VW factory.

It was our first time there. At first, I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of options and the variety of cuisines (Indian, Italian, traditional German, fish, asparagus menu, steak). The quality was good, though. Drink prices were a bit high for Rengershausen, though. Service was good, although the payment process at the end could have been a bit more professional. We'll be back.

I was very excited about my visit to the Wicke restaurant! The food was excellent - I was particularly impressed by the butter chicken: aromatic, creamy and perfectly seasoned. The service was very friendly, attentive and quick. You feel completely at home – I would love to come back!

We had booked a room because we were invited to a Genurt day nearby. The room is nice and big. Unfortunately there is no elevator, which means if you get a room upstairs you have to climb a fairly steep staircase. The bathroom is very small. But serves its purpose. The shower is leaking and runs out at the bottom. The floor in the room seemed uneven. Unfortunately there is no carpet. Not even a small rug on the bed. The mattresses were very worn out. Nevertheless, I slept surprisingly well. What we couldn't find were smoke detectors (except one in the stairwell) and a fire extinguisher. 90€/night is definitely too much.

Great family run restaurant with great service and even better food. Definitely a must eat if here in this part of Germany

More being than appearance. Very nice hospitality, large selection on the menu from Indian, fish and pizza to hearty. Had a delicious salad with great dressing. Prices are not excessive, I would come again.

The old Wicke guesthouse is beautifully furnished and also lovingly decorated by the new tenant. The service is super nice and the food is all fresh and cooked with love. There is nothing here that you can't get and if something goes wrong, it will be sorted out in a friendly manner. We are all just human. Super nice family business very happy again 🥰🙏🏻

We had dinner with the family in the evening. Despite the extensive menu, all the dishes were freshly prepared and delicious! The two waitresses were really friendly, polite, and efficient.

Hello, although I only have a rudimentary knowledge of the area and the prices of the competitors, the price level that is to be established here seems, if I'm honest, quite excessive to me. Therefore, all the best for the company in the future, but preferably without me as a customer

I really have to say that the staff here is world class. Very accommodating, funny and willing to chat no matter how busy it is. Price-performance is completely okay, portions are generous.

I tried the restaurant, you can really eat there, it's very plentiful, very cheeky and they are very friendly. Unfortunately I can't tell you anything about the rooms or the hotel, but apart from that it's great.

Yesterday evening we had dinner with very nice people in the Wicke restaurant in Rengershausen. Where we were very ♥️welcomed and served🫂 whether by the owner himself or his service team 👍we ate very well and deliciously👌. The portions were also good👍 The rooms are very comfortably furnished and you feel very comfortable. The food was very, very tasty 😋👌 We will definitely be back and soon. Attention, please only book online, not by telephone, always insist on written confirmation. I booked a room by phone for November. Because I was in transit. When I arrived no one knew about my reservation and apparently everything was full. I was not offered an alternative or support with another place to stay overnight. So unfortunately I had to spend the night in the car. I can neither rate the hotel positively nor the treatment of the guests.

It's been a long time since I ate a quarter of a goose with side dishes. Very rich, unfortunately not quite to my taste, but as we know they are different. Very nice, courteous service.

The food was delicious, we will definitely have eaten there more than once and would love to come back. It doesn't always have to be large and modern restaurants, small and rustic ones are also a good change.

Friendly staff. Ordered a schnitzel with fresh mushrooms and onions. Asked if the mushrooms were fresh as it said on the menu, the answer was yes. Schnitzel finally came after 95 minutes and the mushrooms were out of the can. Many spelling errors in the map. I don't have to go there again.

Alles bestens, schönes Zimmer, gutes Bad, netter Empfang. Wer ein Bett zum Übernachten sucht, findet hier alles was man braucht.

Ich war dort am Sonntagmorgen zum Frühstück Bekannte hatten dort übernachtet. Es war für den Preis okay, der Wow-Effekt hat gefehlt. Ich hätte mir z.B Lachs, Rührei, ein Glas Sekt oder ähnliches für Kundenbegeisterung gewünscht.

Ich war mit Freunden in der Gaststätte. Ein Freund hatte dort mit Arbeitskollegen seinen Abschied von der Arbeit gefeiert. Da ich etwas anderes als Steak essen wollte habe ich etwas von den indischen Gerichten bestellt. Meine persönliche Meinung ist das es nicht so geschmeckt hat wie ich es bei indischen Gerichten kenne und erwartet habe. Ich habe selbst schon bei einer Inderin indisch gekocht und denke ich kann es etwas beurteilen. Noch dazu kommt das die Bedienung extrem unaufmerksam war. Ich musste ihn mehrere Male darauf hinweisen das ich noch etwas zu trinken haben möchte. Der Service war damit sehr bescheiden. Das Essen war zumindest hübsch angerichtet. Alles in allem ist es keinen zweiten Besuch wert.

Nach den positiven Bewertungen total enttäuscht. Getränke sind sehr teuer, Portionen der Speisen sehr klein. Es gibt auch deutsche Gerichte, trotzdem würde ich es nicht mehr, wie früher, als deutsches Lokal bezeichnen. Verschiedene Küche aus anderen Ländern ist im Vordergrund.

Sehr gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis. Sehr freundlicher Service. Gemütliche Inneneinrichtung. Sehr leckeres Essen.

Wir waren auf der Durchreise und haben über Google geschaut wo man was gutes Essen kann. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht u d waren mit Essen und Service sehr zufrieden.

Wir haben zu viert hier gegessen, waren das 1. Mal da, aber nicht das letzte Mal. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Zu erst haben wir gedacht: Oh man, kein Mensch im Lokal. Alles leer. Nur die Bedienung (wie wir später erfahren haben, der Sohn des Hauses). Dann haben wir bestellt. Indisch ! Nicht zuletzt, weil der Sohn indische Wurzeln zu haben schien. Und was soll ich sagen ? Mega essen !!! Wie in Indien ! (ich war schon ein paar Mal dort und meine Frau kocht auch öfters mal im Thermomix indisch). Große Portionen, viel Fleisch, Gemüse frisch und geschmacklich wirklich absolut authentisch. Mir sind Gastronomien eigentlich suspekt die von Pizza über indisch bis Schnitzel alles an anbieten. Aber hier würde ich jederzeit alles essen. Vor Allem weil ich hinterher erfahren hab, dass Mama selbst kocht. Offensichtlich mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Also, weiter so und Daumen sowas von nach oben !!! ☺️

Leider total enttäuscht. Lange Wartezeit auf das Essen. 1:20 Std. Von 5 Personen waren 4 nach dem Essen noch hungrig. Geschmacklich war das Essen gut, aber viel zu kleine Portionen. Auch von anderen so gehört. Gehe nicht mehr hin. Sind von früher hier was anderes gewöhnt.

Waren am 14.1.23 dort, die Bedienung superfreundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war hervorragend und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmte. Wenn wir wieder mal in dieser Gegend sind kommen wir bestimmt wieder vorbei.

Es war unglaublich lecker. Sowohl indisch, als auch die deutsche Küche gleichermaßen gut. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wir von den Fußballern des Tuspo Rengershausen haben die Gastätte mit unserer Alten Herren und unserer ersten Mannschaft besucht und waren sehr zu frieden. Darüber hinaus haben wir zum wiederholten male Essen ins Clubhaus bestellt. Guter Service, sehr geschmackvoll. Immer wieder gerne zu empfehlen.

Hervorragendes Essen - zu unserem Erstaunen war das Restaurant völlig leer, nach unserer Meinung völlig zu Unrecht. Das Restaurant ist eine absolute Empfehlung!!!

Veldig store fin og ryddig rom, hyggelig personalet. Maten er bare nydelig. Bare se størrelse av Gordonbleu. Smaken var også konge. Meget anbefalt.

Sehr nettes und freundliches Personal, sehr schneller Service, nette Atmosphäre. 1 Punkt Abzug, da die Gerichte relativ hochpreisig sind. Aber es schmeckt auch sehr gut. Ich denke 1-2 Euro günstiger könnte es sein.

- Essen hervorragend - Portionen sehr üppig - Koch kommt und erkundigt sich ob alles passt. - Die junge Bedienung war sehr konzentriert bei der Arbeit, dass sie das Lächeln vergessen hatte. Aber sie hat das toll gemacht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
