Gaststätte Waldhaus Reißig in Plauen

Wir kehrten zum Essen nach der Flugshow in der nahen Falknerei Herrmann ein. Im Terrassenbereich sitzt man recht schön. Der Service war schnell und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war gut, allerdings fand ich das Waldhausschnitzel mit Pilzfüllung etwas trocken vom Fleisch her. Unter den Kartoffelvariationen hatte nicht nur ich mir etwas anderes vorgestellt, eben mehr „Variationen“. Bekommen haben wir dreierlei Fritiertes - nicht sehr originell. Ein klein wenig Salat komplettierte das Gericht. Für fast 20€ fand ich das etwas schwach, auch wenn die Portion von der Menge her ausreichend war. Aber entweder man bietet etwas mehr Gemüse und / oder Salat an oder man reicht dazu etwas Soße. So hinterlässt das Gericht einen zwiespältigen Eindruck und wirkt insgesamt etwas trocken und nicht ganz durchdacht.

Mega, freundlicher Service, sehr gutes Essen, der gurgensalat war eine Offenbarung. Ich komm noch mal, das wurtzfleisch, könnte ich süchtig werden.

Wir waren hier vier Erwachsene und ein Kind sehr lecker essen. Das Essen war liebevoll angerichtet sehr schmackhaft gut gewürzt und man kann da nur positives berichten. Danke dafür! Die Lage ist natürlich top am Waldesrand mit schönem Parkplatz, das Personal ist super freundlich und lieb. Mein Bewertungsindex, ich bin sehr ehrlich und nicht jeder kann immer 5 Sterne bekommen: 1* = einfach schlecht 2* = unter den Erwartungen 3* = wie erwartet (mein Standard) 4* = über der Erwartung, aber noch minimales Potential nach oben 5* = außergewöhnlich gut, hier passte einfach alles und ich bin überaus begeistert

05/2026: Wir sind wieder hier. Es hat sich nicht verändert. Der Service und das Essen sind hervorragend. Wir sind sehr zufrieden. Eine freundliche Bedienung bringt uns rasch das bestellte Getränk. Die Speisen werden ebenso rasch serviert. Der Vogtländer Sauerbraten ist zart, die Klöße luftig, das Rotkraut einfach sehr lecker. Das Schweinesteak unter dem mit Käse überbackenem Würzfleisch können wir weiterempfehlen. Die Putenleber ist zart und der Kartoffelbrei genial. Uns hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. Preis-/Leistung völlig in Ordnung. Kartenzahlung möglich. Parkplätze direkt gegenüber.

Wir waren wieder hier, und geschmacklich war es wie letztes Mal. Diesmal hatte meine Frau die Putenleber mit Kartoffelstampf. Preislich liegt dieses Restaurant etwas höher als die anderen in der Umgebung. Super lecker. 😋Ich habe zum ersten Mal Würzfleisch gegessen. (Schweinesteak mit Würzfleisch) Auch der Sauerbraten mit Klößen war richtig lecker. Die Bedienung war super freundlich und kompetent. Das Trinken und auch Essen kamen schnell an den Tisch. Preis / Leistung Top 👍 Wir kommen wieder.

Wunderschöne Gaststätte, Hervorragendes Essen, Service spitze und alle sind Freundlich. Da hat sich der Zwischenstopp aufjedenfall gelohnt. Da werden wir wieder kommen! 💐

Das Essen war wieder sehr lecker. Das Personal ist sehr nett und auf zack. Leider mussten wir unsere Feier schon um 21:00 Uhr auflösen, da die Gaststätte nur bis dahin geöffnet hat.

Gemütliches Ambiente. Wir waren zu einer Trauerfeier geladen. Es gab Kuchen und Brötchen. Kommen einmal wieder zum Testen der warmen Speisen

Wir haben unseren Gaststättenbesuch mit einem Besuch der Falknerei Herrmann verbunden, rund um gelungene Stunden. Jederzeit wieder.

Wir waren am Samstag in Plauen, um unser neues Auto abzuholen und wählten uns das Waldhaus Reißig als Restaurant aus, um vor der Rückfahrt ein Essen zu genießen. Was soll ich sagen? Volltreffer! Die Gaststätte war mittags sehr gut besucht, wohl vor allem von Einheimischen. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen, unser Hund durfte dabei sein - als vierter Hund im Gastraum. Die vogtländisch orientierte Speisekarte gefiel uns sehr gut. Wir wählten das Wildgulasch und die Pasta mit Garnelen und wurden mehr als positiv überrascht. Getränke und Gerichte wurden zügig serviert, trotz viel Besuch. Wir waren danach gut gesättigt und sehr zufrieden. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier! Wir können das Waldhaus Reißig guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen. Übrigens: gegenüber gibt einen Wanderparkplatz mit viel Platz.

Eine wirklich tolle Erfahrung! Es ist unbedingt eine Reservierung erforderlich, da das Lokal gerade am Wochenende immer voll ist. Die Innenausstattung ist sehr wohlfühlen. Das Lokal ist sehr sauber und die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Das Essen ist wirklich erstklassig, was dieses Restaurant wirklich zu einem Juwel im Vogtland macht. Ein Besuchs- Muss!!!

Es ist schön hier, freundliche Bedienung, lecker Essen. In der Woche bekommt man schon zu zweit einen Platz. Mehrere Personen sollte man reservieren. Schöne Umgebung um auch mal zu wandern, spazieren gehen oder was auch sehr schön ist, Falknerei Herrmann besuchen, sehr zu empfehlen...

Very cozy, tastefully decorated, and the staff regularly checks on guests regarding food and drinks. No one goes thirsty. The parking situation is also excellent. All in all, a great deal.

My plate was rather uninspired. Mashed potatoes, Savoy cabbage with a cornstarch sauce, and the pike-perch. No herbs, and it lacked color, meaning a small salad garnish. For almost 20 euros! I don't know if I'll come back. I had fond memories of the restaurant.

Five of us went out to eat yesterday. The food was excellent. It arrived quickly and hot and tasted very good. The portions were very generous. And the price was very good. We were very satisfied and would happily recommend it. And we will definitely be back. It's truly a wonderful, cozy restaurant. Highly recommended. A visit to the falconry was also very, very nice.

If you don't absolutely have to have a main course. Have the potato-wrapped shrimp. The bacon-wrapped beans, the onions, and maybe a small salad. Basically, though, EVERYTHING is probably recommended.

As a group of 12, we were served quickly and friendly on the terrace and all received our delicious food at the same time.

The restaurant is a suitable destination for hikers. The exterior, however, isn't particularly inviting. Simple but clean, farmhouse-style furnishings. A straightforward menu with mostly the same side dishes. The quality of the food isn't adequate (overpriced). Requested changes to the food order are either ignored (forgotten) or superficially implemented. The dessert is modest and can be found in any supermarket. What's the point of the dog (a Boxer) in the kitchen? The overall impression is one of making quick money with minimal effort! That only works if you're the "top dog" there, since there are no competitors.

We discovered a wonderful restaurant by chance. The food is truly excellent, prepared with love. Fair prices, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. We were able to bring our dog with us without any problems and enjoy the cozy beer garden. We highly recommend it and would love to come back! We spent a wonderful week here in Plauen.

Really good home-cooked food. The price was reasonable for the quality. A non-alcoholic drink and main course were under €25. The red cabbage tasted homemade and very good. The sauce tasted like it was made in-house. They're currently offering a chocolate ice cream with a shot. I highly recommend it. It seems very clean and well-maintained.

We were there for a wedding reception. Everything was absolutely fantastic. The buffet was fantastic, with something for every taste, and the dessert was absolutely delicious. I can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience.

We stopped by the Waldhaus Reisig again today. After a very nice walk through the forest in the Pfaffengut to the Pfaffenmühle, we went for lunch. We reserved a table and were warmly welcomed. The staff was friendly and the drinks and food came quickly. It also tasted very good, there was nothing to complain about. Prices are still in the normal range. The "Waldhaus" is recommended and a nice hiking area.

Family dinner at lunchtime on Christmas Day, a large, happy group. We were warmly welcomed, served quickly and in a very friendly manner and the food was a pleasure… Price-performance ratio absolutely fine. Something like this doesn't happen every day anymore, we'll be back, no question 😃

Super friendly staff and tasty food! I had dinner here with the family at Christmas. Even though we were 10 minutes late and it was very busy, the staff were always friendly and accommodating. Subsequent orders and requests (especially extra requests for food) were also all fulfilled. The dishes were all more than satisfactory. The toilets are all clean and Christmas background music silences unpleasant noises ;) I would also like to give 5 stars. First 4 for the following reasons: Next time, we would like to come back, I would like Diet Coke for my cousin, he has diabetes. And to follow the plant-based trend, milk alternatives and at least one other vegetarian and one vegan dish on the menu would be very appealing! And your cooking skills are definitely promising! Restaurant with a very good reputation. Food and service okay. However, closing times of 8:30 p.m. during the week and 9:00 p.m. on Saturdays are absolutely unacceptable.

It was absolutely delicious there. We pre-ordered seats and food there but didn't have much time because we wanted to go to the football. Everything was perfect.

Actually, the restaurant would have deserved 5 stars if it weren't for this unspeakably unspeakable, impudent person in the kitchen who loudly complains that the funeral party should go to McDonald's because fewer people came than booked. I can certainly understand that it is unpleasant when fewer people come than planned, but people can't help it and a bereavement doesn't deserve to be treated like that. Maybe the chef (or whoever it was) should reconsider his tone and attitude, compassion and understanding can't hurt. The food itself was very tasty and the service was really attentive and friendly.

Fragten zu Mittag nach einem Sitzplatz. Wir wurden barsch verwiesen, es gibt keine freien Plätze, trotz freier Tische. Auf Anfrage, ob es ev. später klappt, wurde nochmals laut und unfreundlich darauf hingewiesen, dass es keine Plätze gibt, und wir gehen sollen. Auch wenn das Gaststättengewerbe nicht immer einfach ist, sowas geht nicht! Mit Freundlichkeit kann man den Gästen, die keinen Platz erhalten begegnen und einen schönen Tag wünschen. Unser Tag war verdorben.

We wanted to have lunch and asked for a seat. We were harshly expelled; there were no free seats, despite free tables. When we asked whether it would work later, we were again loudly and rudely told that there were no seats and that we should leave. Even if the restaurant business isn't always easy, it doesn't work like that. With kindness you can greet the guests who were not given a seat and wish them a good day.

It's good if you pre-order, otherwise you won't get a seat on the weekend. The food was very tasty. Portions are just right. The staff very friendly. The waiting time was just about acceptable. But that was simply due to the high number of guests. The food was freshly cooked and didn't come from the microwave. A big compliment to the kitchen. There were 8 of us and we got our food at the same time. Great. I can only recommend it.

We went here for lunch on a Monday. The staff was very friendly and we were immediately given a table outside. There was also a high chair for the baby. We ate fries (for the child), cucumber salad, garlic cream soup and a vegetarian pasta dish. Everything was really tasty and well seasoned. The only annoying things were the wasps and the uncomfortable garden chairs.

We have been to the "Reissig" several times and we are thrilled every time. The food is high quality, the menu diverse and the service excellent. It's particularly comfortable to sit in the beer garden in summer. Dear team, please keep it up, we will remain loyal to you.

Wieder mal weggeschickt! Trotz ausgeschriebener Öffnungszeit bis 15.00 Uhr und leerem Biergarten wurden wir 13.25 wegen dem ab 14.00 Uhr drohendem Küchenschluss wieder einmal weggeschickt. Servicewüste Deutschland😡 Weitergefahren zum Lochbauer. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, tolles Ambiente und noch vor dem Küchenschluss des Waldhauses Reißig hatten wir schon 13.55 unser Essen.

Leider extrem nachgelassen. Nach einem hervorragenden Essen in 2023 in 2024 zwei mal essen gewesen und enttäuscht gewesen. Bei den Fischgerichten wenig Fisch und drumherum irgendeine Mehlpampe. Auch beim traditionellen Ragout Fin Mehlpampe mit wenig Fleisch, ohne Champignons und nur eine kleine ungetoastetes Baguette-Scheibe dazu. Leider keine Weiterempfehlung mehr.

The Waldhaus Reißig is a top address in Plauen if you value good cuisine and courteous service. Located on the outskirts of the city with plenty of parking spaces and surrounded by greenery, this restaurant is our first choice, even for family celebrations. The menu is diverse. Whether roast (recommendation: duck breast, sauerbraten, beef tongue), rump steak, currently various asparagus dishes, huge schnitzels, fine soups and also a small selection of vegetarian dishes. Every guest will find the right thing. The selection of drinks, including fine wines, is also impressive. The service ladies are extremely friendly, quick and fulfill every wish - even when the house is full. The atmosphere is cozy, traditional and in summer the beer garden invites you to linger. After a visit to the outdoor pool, would you like to have a delicious treat from Vogtland cuisine? Why not! The Waldhaus Reißig is within walking distance from the bathroom. You can already tell: We are completely satisfied and feel very comfortable in the Waldhaus Reißig. I would like to mention that we drive from Rehau to the Waldhaus and we really do that out of conviction. Maybe we'll see each other there sometime?
