The food was alright, but they should mention if there's an extra charge for changing the side dish, and also if there are two different schnitzels available – the one that's always on special and the one with salad. The worst part, however, was the cold in the restaurant. We had to keep our coats on; even our feet got cold. All in all, I wouldn't go there again.

The food tastes great, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is also fantastic. We were very satisfied.

It was good. Nothing really special but good overall. Room was a bit small because we were with a group, but the staff managed.

The food was mediocre, nothing special. The fries were way too salty. The food selection was very limited. No reason for us to come back.

We ate at the bird park for the first time yesterday. After reading some negative reviews, we were rather skeptical, but we were pleasantly surprised! We received really quick and friendly service, our drinks arrived right away, and the food didn't take long either. All the dishes (schnitzel, cordon bleu, and roast beef with onions) were delicious; there was really nothing to complain about! We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful outdoor area, partially covered, very friendly service, and a very good cordon bleu with fries, sauce, and salad. 10 out of 10 points, we'll be back! 👍🏻

Hello everyone. On a beautiful Saturday, June 28, 2025, I had the pleasure of celebrating my milestone birthday at the Kirrlach Bird Park. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the team and the management. I would also like to share my opinion on how everything went and how the food and service were. The organization was very simple and straightforward. That's the first big plus. All arrangements were implemented to my complete satisfaction. There was always someone available to coordinate. Another big plus. Special requests and requirements were addressed immediately. Third big plus. The food served was praised as being of a high standard, even by the most discerning (and picky) diners. I include myself in that group. Fourth big plus. The crowning glory was the service. The staff was constantly present to take new orders for drinks and other items. This was exemplary work. Fifth and a big plus. Now we come to the finale. In terms of value for money, which plays a very important role these days, I can only say it's top-notch. It's simply highly recommended. You've definitely gained a new customer in me, and also one of my guests.

Hello, Yesterday, a group of 20 of us were invited to a special birthday party at Kirrlach Bird Park. The food was served as a buffet, including roast beef and pork, turkey and pork schnitzel, salads, and side dishes of bread dumplings, fries, spaetzle, and potato gratin. There were several sauces to choose from. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection! We were there as guests, and I can't understand the negative reviews. Both the owner and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back. PS: Spritzer served in a Dubbe glass. Best, Christian

We used to eat there frequently before the change of ownership, and the food was always very good. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has suffered since the change of ownership. Of course, it's important to remember that this is just a snapshot in time. We also missed some of the old dishes, such as the Maultaschen salad. We had reserved a table for dinner at 6:30 pm on May 9th. Shortly after sitting down, we ordered a total of six drinks. The first four drinks arrived after about ten minutes, and the other two after another five minutes or so. Shortly before 7 pm, we ordered a total of eight dishes: 2x Stuffed Peppers 2x Hunter's Schnitzel (pork + fries and a side salad) 1x Wiener Schnitzel (turkey + fries and a side salad) 2x Salad with Turkey Strips 1x Children's Schnitzel (pork + fries) I can't say much about the salads myself. There are plenty of ways to season it anyway, and everyone has their own taste. However, the pork schnitzel, hunter style, was unfortunately still pink inside and raw in some places. Similarly, the children's schnitzel wasn't quite cooked through in some parts. In total, it was about three-quarters of a schnitzel. The server tried to justify the pink parts and make light of them – which I didn't appreciate. She got angry quite quickly and then rather abruptly called over the cook. The cook was a calm soul and simply took the parts that we considered pink and raw away. They were accommodating and brought us a new dish, including fries and hunter's sauce. However, it was a turkey schnitzel. (Never mind.) A simple schnitzel without fries and sauce would have been fine. But thank you nonetheless. The hunter's sauces unfortunately had hardly any flavor of their own. The spaetzle seemed... mealy. I'm finding it hard to describe. The fries were (very) well salted. The turkey schnitzel, Viennese style, was the only thing that, in my opinion, was cooked through completely. (As was the replacement we received.) The daily special (stuffed peppers) was unfortunately bland. It had no seasoning whatsoever and was also lacking in salt. The ground beef was watery. *Yes, we finished the dishes because we were simply hungry. *And yes: Because I have great respect for the work of a server in direct customer contact, I left a tenner as a tip despite everything. *This review includes a response to the owner's reply to the review from our friend with the toddler who accompanied us: https://maps.app.goo.gl/24d9ohad8h9EXWFw8 My wife's addition: The air in the dining room was unpleasant. The smell of frying/deep-frying fat came into the dining room through the constantly open door and also clung to the clothing.

Don't do it: The lady was rude and snapped at because we sent back the raw schnitzel (3/4 of a piece, including the children's schnitzel...). Criticism is unacceptable; they immediately send the cook out and the waiter can't or won't listen. If you're a professional in the field or simply enjoy good food, you're in the wrong place. If you offer constructive criticism, you're accused of not knowing your stuff. At least you could talk to the cook. However, the lady before us was so rude that the whole party was ruined. Soup of the day was sold out (but it was advertised on all the boards). Salad too sour/bitter. Some of the schnitzels were undercooked. The mushroom sauce had no flavor. The fries were oversalted. The stuffed peppers had watery ground meat inside. The turkey strips were dead. Either they're cutting corners on quality, expertise, or both... I'm guessing both. A tip: if you don't enjoy serving guests, you're better off not opening a restaurant.

This will be an honest review. We were there for the first time since the change of tenant. M Super nice service. The young lady was very helpful and friendly. The food was overall OK. But a few points of criticism: The cordon bleu was well made, the extra gravy was good, but the cordon bleu itself was unfortunately far too dark and therefore bitter. The currywurst sauce was also good. But it would pay off to invest in a better sausage. Unfortunately the salad was very bland, processed a lot of strung and no good dressing. As I said, all in all it was ok, you can eat here. The price is also good, but unfortunately some craftsmanship is missing. It would be the case with the currywurst

I had dinner with friends today I had the potato dish with mushroom cream sauce The taste was very good I just wish I had double the amount of sauce. It was incomprehensible that the friends got different amounts of fries with their meals

Es hat gut geschmeckt. Rumpsteak, Schnitzel, Wurstsalat - es gibt die Klassiker und die schmecken gut. Spätzle waren etwas zu lang im Wasser und die Portionen sind übersichtlich, dafür gibt es faire Preise. Passt also. Bei Gelegenheit gerne wieder

Paprikaschnitzel war flexig un fettig. Die Soße war ein Gemisch aus Paprika und Zwiebeln (?). Die Currywurst stammte wohl von keinem guten Metzer. Sie war vergleichbar wie die aus dem Glas vom Lidl/Aldi, nur etwas größer. Obwohl die Bedienung (war wirklich nett und freundlich) dies an die Küche Weiter gabe, erfolgte keine Reaktion.

After a long break and a change of operator, we went to the bird park for dinner for the first time in months. We had reserved a table and were really looking forward to it. And we weren't disappointed. Staff very friendly and accommodating, food really good (we had the roast beef and the cheese spaetzle). The side salad was very fresh with a delicious dressing, roast roast exactly how I would like it, the cheese spaetzle was really delicious. And at very reasonable prices. We were thrilled. We only heard good things from other guests and the outdoor area was of course packed with the weather. It would therefore be advisable to reserve by telephone. It wasn't the last time we were there. A worthy successor was found.

Nice restaurant with very friendly staff. The onion roast was excellent. We were able to park the motorhome (8 meters) without any problems.

Der Vogelpark, mit der Gaststätte, liegt mitten im Feld und ein schönes Ausflugsziel bei guten Wetter. Rechtzeitig reservieren an Sonn- und Feiertagen. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis: kaum zu schlagen

Nett gelegen, inmitten der Welt der Vögel. Man sitzt schön draußen auf der Terrasse im Schatten und kann die Tierwelt bestaunen. Es gibt gutes und preiswertes Bier vom Fass. Ich hatte Käsespätzle mit Zwiebeln, das war in Ordnung. Die Bedienung war schnell und freundlich. Die Auswahl der Speisen ist zwar nicht mega viel aber soweit völlig ausreichend: Schnitzel, Steak, Ķäsespätzle, Maultaschen, Salat, Pfännchen mit verschiedenen Fleischsorten. Es wirkt sehr familiär.

Wir waren an einem Samstag Mittag da und es war sehr angenehm mit Kleinkind draußen zu sitzen. Das Essen kam sehr schnell und war frisch und sehr lecker ! Die Inhaber sehr freundlich, kinderlieb und aufmerksam! Werden wieder kommen !

Wil je onderweg van of naar Oostenrijk iets anders dan een wegrestaurant dan is dit een leuk en goed alternatief. 10 min van Rijksweg 5. Klein restaurantje met leuk terras met uitzicht op het vogelpark. Uitgebreid menu, wij kozen iets van de Asperge kaart. Lekker gegeten, vriendelijk personeel. Na het eten nog een rondje door het park gelopen. Leuke onderbreking van de lange rit. Het staat in mijn favorieten. Let op. Google stuurde ons helaas wel te vroeg het bos in.

Hatte hier ein leckeres, sehr preiswertes Schnitzel. Vom Ambiente ist es innen ganz einfach, im Sommer sicher schöner auf der Terrasse. In Summe ganz einfaches Lokal, ich würde auf die Schnitzel setzen, das können Sie - sehr gerne wieder

Das Lokal ist recht klein, urig und gemütlich, mit hervorragendem Essen. Zudem ist der Preis wirklich gut und das Personal sehr sympathisch und freundlich. Wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind kommen wir definitiv wieder vorbei!

wer auf gut bürgerliche deutsche Küche steht und im Sommer gerne im Freien isst, wird sich sehr wohl in der Vogelpark Gaststätte in Kirrlach fühlen. Die zumeist klassischen deutschen Gerichte sind nach zwei Besuchen in diesem Jahr alle zu empfehlen. Hier stimmt einfach alles: Qualität, Geschmack und Menge und das alles mit einem wirklich außergewöhnlichen netten Service der Chefin. Kleiner Tipp: Für Leute dich nicht aus der Gegend kommen, wäre eine bessere Beschilderung für die Anfahrt hilfreich und nützlich.

Es ist jedes Mal eine Freude den Biergarten im Vogelpark Kirrlach zu besuchen. Die Wirtin, der Wirt und das ganze Serviceteam sind einfach klasse. Selbst wenn es stressig ist bleiben die Jungs und Mädels cool wie im Eishotel. Wie gesagt- der Service ist spitze. Das Essen vom Feinsten und das Bier und die Schorle in der Hitze immer schön kalt . Toll ist auch das der Koch sich selbst bei den Gästen erkundigt ob alles ok ist. Also von uns bekommt Ihr alle 10 von 10 Punkten . Weiter so, wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch. Grüße aus Kirrlach
