The food was delicious, and the ambiance beautiful. It's an upscale, secluded restaurant. However, I MUST criticize the fact that any **change of order or reduction** of a dish is subject to an additional charge. Less on the plate = more in the end. What my wife and I hope for our next visit to the Hammerschmiede restaurant is that the manager is friendlier to her guests. We and two neighboring tables were surprised by the manager's unfriendly manner that day. All in all, though, it's an upscale restaurant.

I don't understand the 5-star reviews. People, what are you eating when you give a star? Please! I had the meat platter for 16 euros. One half of the plate consisted of tough strips of beef, slightly burnt chicken strips, a few fries, and the other half was the salad bowl. Small portion and tasted abysmal, no dip, no onions, nothing. Horrible, never again. Maybe the chef should try his food, then it might be better. So what?

Satisfied? Yes, but unfortunately only until December 31, 2025, when Mr. Konstanzer will retire. We have been regulars at the "Beller" since the 1970s. An era is coming to an end, and we are saddened. The dishes are simply delicious, the kind you can only dream of eating in a "gasthaus" today. We also enjoyed the "Brägele" (bread rolls) prepared by Mr. Konstanzer. Unique and delicious in their own way. We wish the Konstanzer family all the best and extend a big thank you. The R. First of all, the food was very good. On the seasonal menu, there were two chanterelle schnitzels with spaetzle. I knew the cheese spaetzle was great there. So I asked the waitress if it was possible to have just one schnitzel and a small portion instead of the regular cheese spaetzle. If not, I would gladly have the regular ones. The waitress came back from the kitchen and said yes, it would be possible. While the food was being prepared, I asked if it was possible to serve it on two plates, as it probably wouldn't fit on one. My companion said it didn't matter. I was in the bathroom at the time. So I got one plate of schnitzel with chanterelle mushrooms and a huge plate of cheese spaetzle. The spaetzle was very tasty; I only ate a third of it and had the rest packed up. Then I got the bill, which was where I was annoyed. They added two entire dishes to the bill. When I asked, the waitress, who was wearing a bare midriff and had a huge piercing, just grinned cheekily. "That's just how it is now." I was a bit overwhelmed by the situation and paid first. Shocked, because my meal was more expensive than those of my two companions combined. After leaving, I wanted to speak to the waitress again, but she fled into the kitchen and didn't come out until we had left. Bottom line: Really delicious food, but I'm very unhappy about going back there again because of the waitress's rip-off.
