It was a surprising visit to the restaurant, with a friendly welcome and good service. The food portions were plentiful and very 😋 tasty. I can only recommend it and look forward to a next visit.

We (approx. 30 people) celebrated my 70th birthday on December 17th, 2024 in this wonderful, beautiful restaurant. Food from the buffet, simply lovingly and tastefully prepared. For me, the best thing of the evening: the Kassler with sauerkraut and dumplings! The meat is tender and delicious and the sauerkraut is just like it was in mom's time. All of my guests really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and the friendliness of the house. We'll definitely be back! 12/17/2024. Birnbaum family

incredibly soothing ambience, mixed with down-to-earth and very friendly service. The food was so incredible that I had to spend some time thinking about the last time I had eaten so well.

Thank you for the beautifully prepared get-together after my father's funeral. It was a very pleasant stay in the outdoor area. The cake was very much in his spirit. She would have liked him very much. Big praise.

Takeaway food was pre-ordered for 8 people several days in advance. When we arrived at the location to pick up about 10/15 minutes before the agreed pickup time, we were informed that other guests were late and therefore our food would also be delayed by half an hour, which actually ended up being about 20 minutes - after I and another person made it clear that they did not agree with this “take it or die” approach. In such a case, better planning and organization is definitely required, because subjecting other guests to consequences for which they are not responsible is anything but service-oriented. Side note: I find offering any random bottle of wine as compensation embarrassing on principle and it becomes outrageous if you offer the offer again with the words "Your parents definitely drink wine" after it has already been rejected. A NO to alcohol should probably be enough! But anyone who only lists two overpriced (€16.90) and unimaginative vegetarian dishes on their menu in 2024 next to pages and pages of meat probably doesn't know some basics. This is also reflected in the offer of “Zigeunerschnitzel” on the menu. This means that the statement by the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency, which defines the word “Gypsy” as a derogatory foreign term for the exclusion of Sinti and Roma, is not given any value. And at the end having to accept a “Young woman, now look at me” for the phrase “Enjoy your meal” is the final straw. The food itself was ok, but nothing more.

Although we visited this restaurant at 9pm in the evening, hungry and tired, with a child and I was pregnant. In the end we just wanted something to eat but we got more than we expected. Very cozy, quiet, clean, friendly staff, but of course the food was the best part of the evening. It was like dinner at Mom's. We will definitely come back and recommend.

Small, fine, child-friendly restaurant, very nice staff, can only be recommended!!! We had pizza, everything was great, super tasty. Bit of Detroit style. The dishes from the other tables also looked great. We will come again.

Lovely German family restaurant with excellent food, service and atmosphere

The restaurant opens at 4 p.m. I wanted a pizza to take away. It was explained to me in a harsh tone that there was nothing here before 5 p.m. Why do you open at 4 p.m.

Excellent cuisine, everything freshly prepared, very friendly service! The outdoor seating area is very comfortable and invites you to linger. The restaurant itself is also decorated with a lot of love.

The pizza was never from the stone oven!!!! Thick base, like rusks. At the edge you could see that it didn't come off the sheet metal. Floor and covering as if industrially manufactured. Tasted like frozen pizza from a discount store. Sorry, but that doesn't work at all! And not at the price of 15 euros!

We were very well looked after for Xmas lunch. The food was delicious and service attentive. Make sure to try out the home made Gluehwein. Delicious! I will be back.

Ein sehr muckeliges Eckchen wo man gemütlich beisammen Essen und Trinken kann. Eine sehr aufmerksame Bedienung und ein tollen Service. Eine Spielecke für Kinder ist auch da. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen und entspannten Abend. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder.

Ein sehr nettes Lokal, man bekommt auch ohne Reservierung einen Tisch - dies haben wir jedenfalls. Eine Reservierung ist trotzdem zu empfehlen. Das Essen schmeckte sehr gut, ist aber meines Erachtens nach etwas zu teuer für die Portionsgröße, daher leider ein Stern Abzug. Eine 28cm Pizza für ca. 15 Euro ist leider nicht angemessen, auch wenn der Teig ein besonderer ist, den man nicht in gewöhnlichen Pizzerien findet. Der Service ist jedoch hervorragend, sehr freundliche Bedienung, die sich in einer höflichen Weise sehr direkt mit dem Gast unterhält. Wirklich sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service! Das Ambiente ist stimmig und schafft eine Atmosphäre zum Wohlfühlen. Das Lokal ist wirklich empfehlenswert, aber man sollte Zeit mitbringen! Da das Lokal ein sehr kleiner Betrieb ist, hat der Ofen eine kleine Kapazität, es dauert also etwas länger bis das Essen kommt. Meiner Meinung nach ist diese zusätzliche Zeit in einem ordentlichen Rahmen, aber nicht kurz genug für Gäste, die es eilig haben.

Waren als Familie dort inklusive Oma und Opa und allesamt sehr sehr sehr zufrieden. Super auch mit Kind vorallem Kleinkind, wir saßen draußen im gemütlichen Biergarten, es gab eine echt schöne Spielecke für unseren kleinen Mann. Auf der Damentoilette gibt's eine Wickelecke mit allen Utensilien die man zum Wickeln braucht! Sehr sehr komfortabel. Das Essen war auch richtig lecker. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Weiter so!!!!

Die Gaststätte ist die wunderschönste in ganz Leipzig. Hier gibt es das beste Essen und die netteste Bedienung die ich kenne! Wenn man nicht hier her kommt, hat man was verpasst.

Sehr gutes Essen, gemütliches Restaurant, sehr hilfsbereites Personal und vor allem auch sehr kinderfreundlich. Als bemerkt wurde, dass die Zubereitung einer Kinderpizza etwas länger dauern wird, wurden dem betreffenden Kind Spirelli angeboten, damit es schon mit den anderen Kindern anfangen kann und auch etwas zu essen hat. Malbücher, Stifte und Bausteine für die Kinder. Echt gut!

Unscheinbarer Geheimtip für "gutbürgerliche" Küche. Das Essen war echt lecker und vom Preis angemessen. Leider können wir den Preis von 15-20€ für eine Steinofenpizza nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Einrichtung braucht eine kleine "Erfrischungkur" aber hat seinen Charme 😉 Der Service war top, bitte weiter so.👍 Unbedingt rechtzeitig vorbestellen

Wir waren schön öfters - im Kreise der Familie - im Restaurant "Sommerfelder Steinofen" und haben uns dort immer sehr wohl gefühlt!!! - Das Ambiente ist - innen und außen - sehr gemütlich und wir wurden auch immer sehr freundlich bedient!!! - Auch das Essen ist immer sehr reichlich und schmeckt gut!!!
