Gaststätte Shanty in Templin

We were in the restaurant for the first time today and were simply thrilled. Super nice staff, little Paul, our 4-legged friend, was also very welcome. The food was very tasty (fish duet). We will definitely be regular guests now and can only recommend the shanty.

It was okay, bottle of mineral water at €7.90 was totally wrong.

I was looking for a place to do some work with my laptop and at the same time have something to drink and later maybe eat something. When I politely asked for a seat with a power socket, I received a very unfriendly and negative reaction. A polite refusal would have been perfectly fine. The restaurant is beautifully located, mostly with a view of the lake. I can't rate the quality of the food.

On our boat trip on vacation, we stopped in Templin for the first time. This restaurant is not far from the city harbor. We were served friendly and the food was delicious. Price-performance ratio absolutely harmonious. We will be back. Best regards

A beautiful restaurant. We were there for the first time. The tables on the terrace were reserved and we still got a seat. The waitresses were very kind and attentive. Also a big compliment to the kitchen. The food was more than excellent. You have to have been there 🙂🫶👍

Very good and plentiful food. Simply perfect value for money. However, it is also very busy, so you have to expect waiting times.

We ate excellently. (Zander, fried herring, asparagus, jellied meat + children's dish). Super friendly staff.👍👍👍 Plates beautifully arranged, because the eye eats too. Ample portions. Nice view of the lake. Matching decoration in the restaurant with fishing nets, pictures of model ships, etc.

On the occasion of my dear mother's 85th birthday, we stopped at the restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised by the ambience of this place. The staff very accommodating and friendly. The food is amazing. We will come back. Promised. Highly recommended.

We were in the Shanty to celebrate a big birthday with around 50 guests (including 12 small children). It was beautifully decorated. The food (buffet) exceeded all our wishes. The staff were cheerful, quick and saw immediately when a glass was empty. All of our guests were also thrilled. Price-performance ratio was also right. Many thanks to the Shanty team. Our celebration turned into a celebration here.

Anlässlich einer Familienfeier waren wir im Shanty. Mit 50 Personen inkl. 14 kleinen Kindern wurde ausgelassen gefeiert. Das Buffet war fantastisch, die Kellnerinnen freundlich, schnell und rücksichtsvoll (bei 14 kleinen Kindern, muss man schonmal jonglieren). Ein sehr gelungener Abend, an dem das Team vom Shanty einen großen Anteil hatte.

My mom and I were guests at the Shanty for the second time today, having come from Berlin. Everything was to our satisfaction again. Very nice service, drinks came quickly, the food followed promptly, hot and very nicely presented and freshly prepared. We ordered liver and pike perch. Very plentiful and highly recommended for the price. Even though we didn't make a reservation, we still got a table. I take my hat off to this staff, all tables were occupied and two employees served drinks and food. And always very friendly and even available for a chat. In any case we will come back.

Excellent food, super friendly waiters and absolutely fair prices. From now on it's the number one place to go when I'm in the area. Update: A year later, almost everything is the same. Unfortunately there was a different waiter this time. He was very nice, but not that attentive and went out for a smoke quite often instead of checking to see if anyone else had a request. Unfortunately, one point deducted.

We had a family celebration on March 9th, 2024 in this restaurant. From the preliminary arrangement to the end of the celebration, everything was perfect. All guests felt comfortable and were completely satisfied. From the boss to the staff there is a warm and friendly approach. The food and the price-performance ratio were excellent. We had reserved the small room for my mother's 70th birthday. Our wishes for the lunch buffet were implemented very well. The restaurant does not offer cake itself, but we were given the opportunity to bring our own baked cake. A big thank you again for that. The food and service were excellent. We were well looked after and felt completely taken care of, even though we were not the only guests that day. I would also like to say a big compliment and thank you on behalf of my mother and the guests present. Keep it up!

Very good, home-style food. Cheap prices. Served quickly and hot. Friendly service. The interior could be refreshed and dusted down (literally) in one place or another. Otherwise really highly recommended.

We had lunch at the Shanty today. No problem for my wife as a wheelchair user, there is also a toilet available. Delicious. Recommendation from us.

Very tasty and very nice service staff.

Maritime-style restaurant, located directly on the lake. The restaurant has a large selection of fish dishes, at least 5 different types of fish, and mussels are also on offer. There are also meat and vegetarian dishes. Also dishes for children. The food is freshly prepared, decoratively presented and tastes very good. There is a large selection of drinks, coffee drinks and a small selection of desserts. We have been visiting the Shanty since around 1995 and have never been disappointed, neither by the food nor the staff.

Today we invited my dad there for his birthday. A wheelchair space was also ordered in advance, everything was perfectly prepared, the waiters were very accommodating, a waitress came to the table and even congratulated my dad on his birthday The food was great, we haven't eaten so well in a long time, the dessert was also incredibly tasty 😋 Many thanks to the entire team

We visited Templin on a cloudy Sunday at lunchtime. We had gone on a city rally and had to somehow get hold of various items from Templin without any money, from a shoelace to a flip flop. There was also the task of getting a cup and that's where the shanty came into play. Where are there cups? Logically in a restaurant. We asked for a broken cup that they no longer needed and a freshly polished cup was handed to us and said that we could keep it. So if this restaurant doesn't deserve 5/5 stars, then at least a small award for high hospitality.

We were on a city tour where we were given various tasks. One task was to get a cup and so we were looking for a restaurant and came across the Shanty restaurant, we asked if we could get a cup and the staff was so kind and gave us a fresh Police cup. Hence the 5 stars I have no idea what the food tastes like but the restaurant was well filled and smelled very good. It's a shame we didn't have time to try the food.

Es ist ein sehr schönes Restaurant in Templin. Die Getränke und das Essen waren sehr lecker und Reichhaltig. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend.

Absolut schlechte Bedienung. Schlechte und unpassende Sprüche von der Dame. Beim letzten Mal war ein Kellner der besoffen war.

Wir hatten einen Tisch reserviert, was auch empfehlenswert ist. An dem Abend war leider nur ein Kellner im Dienst und dieser hatte alle Hände voll zu. Die Wartezeiten waren aber noch im Rahmen. Die Gerichte waren geschmacklich sehr gut. Unser Hund war auch willkommen 🐕 Die Einrichtung ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Wir haben heute eine erstklassiges Essen genießen können. Die Bedienung ist superfreundlich und auch zu kleinen Scherzen aufgelegt. Top 👌 sehr gerne wieder und 100 prozentige Weiterempfehlung

Wir haben zum Sonntag Mittag noch kurzfristig einen Tisch bekommen, ohne Reservierung. Essen war super und für die kleinen Gäste gibt es sogar ein kleines Spielzimmer.

Wir habe lange nicht so gut gegessen! Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und das Essen war ausgezeichnet, auch Extrawünsche waren kein Problem. Der junge Kellner war sehr zuvorkommend und wirklich erfrischend! 😄 Hier wird mit Liebe zum Detail und zum Beruf gearbeitet. Wir waren nachhaltig begeistert. Wenn mann hier ist auf jedenfall dort anhalten. Da merkt man noch das es der Bedienung spaß macht zu arbeiten. Das Essen kann man nicht beschreiben total lecker. Macht weiter so. 👍

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und der Preis ist angemessen. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend in der Gaststätte Shanty. Wir waren mit einer Reisegruppe von 45 Personen dort. Das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich und umsichtig. Die Getränke wurden schnell serviert und das Essen war auch sehr geschmackvoll zubereitet worden. Vorneweg, das Essen war sehr gut. Die Portion ordentlich und dem Preis angemessen. Das Schnitzel war butterweich. Innen das Ambiente sehr ansprechend und der junge Kellner passt vollends in den Job. Der vertritt den Laden ordentlich. Gegenüber ist der Anlieger der Dampfer, also nach der Dampferfahrt, ruhig rein in die gute Stube. Ich glaube da macht man nichts falsch. Einzig die Plastikausstattung im Außenbereich passt nicht so wirklich zum Rest. Man sitzt nicht perfekt aber man sitzt. Gruß und Danke für den guten Nachmittag.
