We had a delicious meal with a group of 5. We were seated straight away and served quickly.

We love going to Grünling. The food is delicious – and there's a great selection for children too.

The portions were generous, but the chicken curry didn't taste like curry or chicken at all. The cheese overpowered everything. It took a very long time to arrive.

If you love good food, this is the place to go. The prices are perfectly reasonable and the portions are just right. Everyone is very friendly and it's spotlessly clean, just as it should be. Superb!

I, or rather we, can highly recommend this quaint and lovely little restaurant to everyone. Top-notch food, both in terms of quality and price, and the staff are super friendly, efficient, and clean.

Despite the full house at 7 p.m., the waitresses did their best to get us a seat. The food took a while, but the place was full, and there was only one chef and one server working at a time. The food was truly delicious and good value for money, and the service was super nice, courteous, and friendly, despite the sheer stress. Highly recommended. It's not a huge restaurant, just a small restaurant, so despite the full tables, it was pleasantly quiet for eating and chatting.

While visiting Templin, we were guided to the Grünling. Reservations are highly recommended, as the restaurant is very busy. We received a very friendly welcome with a cheeky joke and a smile. The waitress was very busy, but she was cheerful and friendly. The inn is very rustic and in a pub-style, with a small, open-plan kitchen. You do have to wait a bit for the food, but it's well worth it, as you can taste the loving care – very good home-cooked food. Unfortunately, we have to deduct a point for the ambiance. This is due to the restrooms, which are unfortunately a bit dated. In conclusion: If you can wait patiently, you'll be rewarded with excellent home-cooked food.

Don't come on a Monday without a reservation. Since everything in Templin is closed on Mondays, this is unfortunately the only German restaurant in town. A shame.

Very good, tasty, always homemade, traditional food, large portions, selection, and variety (even a senior citizen's portion), ice cream for dessert (other options without ice cream would also be nice), a nice atmosphere, and a show kitchen. All in all, highly recommended, with a few reservations for those who only eat burgers (there aren't any!) and vegans. Open daily, kitchen closes at around 8:30 p.m. when opening until 10 p.m.

The meal was large, like a farmer's breakfast, but the potatoes tasted watery, like they weren't seasoned. The egg was boiled with water.

German home cooking. We had a reservation and, thanks to the friendly service, we were seated in the courtyard. Cold drinks arrived quickly. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to our expectations based on previous reviews. The meat in the solyanka was rather tough, as was the meat in the Hawaiian steak, where the croquettes tasted like nothing. The fried potatoes with the zander were mushy, but the zander itself was very good. The value for money was okay, and the service was quick and friendly. The ambiance was a bit old-fashioned for me. We were disappointed, but we were full.

German cuisine, and truly delicious! Whether it was liver, pike-perch, solyanka, or spicy meat, everything was delicious! We'll be happy to come back here next time we're in town.

We wanted to go in as a family (two children, ages 3 and 4) because we'd read that it wasn't very busy at that time (12 p.m.). We were immediately turned away at the door, even though there were still tables available in the back. It was a shame. We then went to the Flammerie Templino, where it was very family-friendly and the food was amazing.

Came with a group of 8 and found a table within two minutes. Waitress was friendly, offered menus, and took our order efficiently. Everyone got their food in about 30 minutes, all arriving within 5-7 minutes of each other which was impressive. Plenty of food - typical German style, fatty and delicious. Quick payment process, you can pay by card but need to go to the counter. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys hearty German cuisine.

On the whole a pleasant experience. We hadn‘t booked in advance on a Friday lunchtime, so we were placed in the beer garden. It seems to be quite a popular place a bit beyond its heyday. But alright for a piece of GDR nostalgia - the prices are really up to date, though. Our waitress was very eager to please everyone around trying her best. The drinks were served well chilled and quickly, but then we had to wait for more than half an hour for the food. Quantity: OK, quality a bit above average. The so called pork steak (!) was beyond ‘well done’- I wonder what people call a steak in those places. Anyway, I didn’t need any more food that day.

Last night I was a guest here for the first time, curious because of the good reviews. My expectations were fully met: delicious food, beautifully presented, generous portions, fair prices, and a team of chefs and waiters who clearly put their heart and soul into their work. This is also reflected in the fact that every table was full in no time. I had steak with spiced beef; with a little extra salt, it was perfect for me. Everything on the plates at the next table looked very tempting, too. If I ever visit Templin again, I'll definitely come back. Thank you for everything and your friendliness. A very cute little German restaurant with a small beer garden. Very inconspicuous from the outside but you will be very surprised. This is highly recommended and once again a big compliment to the chef... we'll be happy to come back.👍👍👍

Well that was a good choice: with a reservation we could choose one of the tables. Our first cold drink was served quickly, and the food followed immediately afterwards. Special requests no problem. It tasted excellent. The only thing that wasn't great was the fact that the kitchen was open. No matter, we almost got stuck. Friendly service was included, we recommend it! 👍🏻

We are always thrilled. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is very friendly and gracious. You should make a reservation in the evening. We were there in the afternoon and were kindly pushed in between.

We (2 adults, 2 children) ate there for the first time today. The staff was very friendly and we (luckily) got a table without a reservation. The portions were more than sufficient. The children shared a huge egg tart with apple sauce on their faces (on the nice lady's recommendation) and both of them were full. And our portions were huge too. And very tasty. I also want that rustic ambience that I knew from the village restaurant when I was a child. We can recommend the Grünling restaurant with a clear conscience 👍👍👍

Unfortunately you are treated with disrespect. Even after a full quarter of an hour nothing happened, even though there were hardly any guests there. The very good reviews regarding hospitality cannot be understood. One star is actually too many.
