Very tasty food with a great view down into the valley. A real highlight.

The food was great! It looked good and tasted good. The view is of course the highlight here. You look over the vineyard into the valley.

Service is good but the food is bad, I didn't like anything except the salad

Perfect in any way. The location up a mountain near a vineyard with an amazing view. We stayed in the near hotel and even though we did not have a reservation, they offered us a table. We had plenty of starter dishes and a variety of main courses and they all were delicious. The local wines are very recommended. The staff were super friendly as well.

Beautiful ambience with a view over the vineyards, nice staff and the food was extremely delicious. We had the beef bratwurst and the cheese spaetzle, which were more than fair at around €15 each. A bottle of our own wine is available from around €33 and up. Was also very good. I would recommend reserving a table at the edge in advance for a better view of the valley. If we go to the area again we will definitely come back.

We went to the restaurant for fish fondue We had a nice spot in the beer garden with a beautiful view of the valley Our service was friendly When the fondue was delivered we initially thought it was a little fish, but that was totally wrong and we didn't manage to finish everything Salads and potatoes were also very tasty, plus the fish and delicious white wine - perfect Conclusion: very tasty although expensive

We went to the romantic Schloss-Schänke with our German-Canadian family for our daughter's wedding celebration. And all we can say is: WOW!!! We were impressed by the rustic, charming tavern, which was furnished with loving details, and our Canadians in particular couldn't help but be amazed by the rooms, the entire castle complex and the breathtaking view of the valley. The food, including the champagne reception with delicious finger food, was simply fantastic. A big thank you from all of us to the great service staff, who looked after and accompanied us lovingly, attentively and cheerfully throughout the evening. We have rarely experienced such warmth! The organization and communication in the run-up to the celebration also worked very well, and the staff even set up and arranged the decorations that we had just handed out very well the evening before. We would prefer to award 10 points instead of 5. Many thanks to the entire Eberstein team!!!

Great place, good food, nice service

Unfortunately, our Mother's Day meal was not enjoyable. We made a reservation at 12:30 p.m. and only after repeated requests was our main course not served until 2:50 p.m. An hour later we still haven't received dessert. This is not acceptable.

Before we registered to stay overnight at the Hotel Schloß Eberstein, we first stopped at the Schloß-Schänke. We enjoyed the view and a glass of wine. A quick look at the menu suggested a small dish, Maultaschen. They were extremely tasty and left us wanting more, but they weren't to be served until the evening in the castle. As I said, the food was very tasty and the service was extremely friendly. That made me want more at the next stop.

Went to a candlelight dinner today in the castle tavern in Eberstein Castle. It was loud in the Gothic Room because all the seats were occupied. The service and food were really excellent. Attentive staff, really excellent food. Price/performance ratio really excellent. We would love to come back and are surprised at the negative reviews. We were repeatedly asked whether there should be a break between courses or not. The staff was always friendly and helpful.

Beautiful place, great view and atmosphere and amazing food.

For my birthday I invited my family (7 people) to lunch in the Schloßschänke. Reservation worked perfectly, space on the terrace was very nice. Service was also very good at the beginning, but decreased significantly as the tables became more occupied. One of the glasses at the aperitif was broken. It can happen and was replaced immediately. Starters were all very tasty. We then had to wait an hour for the main courses!!! wait. The main courses were also very good, except for the venison ragout, which was too dry. The supply of drinks was already very slow at this point. We would have to alert the service staff several times about outstanding orders. The desserts were serviceable. However, one of the hard cheeses in the cheese variation was moldy. It was taken back without any problems, but that still doesn't work. Conclusion: It wasn't our first time in the Schloßschänke and so far, we've always been satisfied. After this visit, we will think about the next one for a long time and will definitely not invite anyone there again. That was too embarrassing.

Beautiful location on the mountain with a view of the valley. Nice outdoor restaurant, but also very cozy inside. Upscale, good cuisine.

The vegetarian and/or pescetarian options can be much better, a bit old fashioned. But service is great and views as well.

The view was beautiful though it was nothing compared to the masterfully crafted dishes. When I had my first bite, I was brought back to a time in my childhood when the world was still new and innocent. At most restaurants you pay for food, here you pay for an unforgettable experience.

Drei Anbieter auf einem Platz. Sehr ungewöhnlich nach Schloß, Gaststätte und Betreiber zu trennen

Wir waren am 14.06.2023 zu zweit in dieser Gaststätte essen und ich muss ehrlich sagen hätte ich die schlechte Bewertung davor gesehen, wären wir nicht gekommen allerdings hat sich das in diesem Fall nicht bestätigt. Das Essen war qualitativ und auch optisch sehr gut zubereitet. Der Service war für deutsche Verhältnisse überragend! Man wird zum Beispiel extra gefragt ob nach der Vorspeise der Hauptgang in der Küche geordert werden darf, so etwas ist nicht mehr selbstverständlich. Wir wurden auch immer sofort bedient trotz guter Auslastung an diesem Abend. Negative Kommentare und Bewertungen für diesen Ort sind für mich nicht nachvollziehbar. Klare Empfehlung von mir!

War ein Ausflug, aber nach dem Essen sind wir nach Baden-Baden zum Kaffe gefahren. Etwas enttäuscht vom Essen.

Lecker gegessen im Schlosskeller. Der Ausblick ist genial. Unbedingt reservieren zumindest am WE. Nettes Personal. Immer wieder dankbar, dass Menschen diesen Job machen und mir eine gute Zeit ermöglichen

Cappucino was "meh", but cheesecake was excellent! Hopefully we'll come again when the weather will be nice to enjoy the view and try another cake 😊
