Casamir in Gernsbach

We wanted to have lunch in the Gernsbach area after visiting the Unimog Museum, and based on the positive reviews, we made a detour to Staufenberg. We were a group of five motorcyclists (all over 60), but unfortunately, it didn't work out that way... at the entrance, the owner gave us a very nasty look. It was around 1:20 pm, and we hadn't made a reservation. After a brief consultation between the owner and the chef, we were turned away – practically without any specific explanation – we suspect we simply weren't welcome. The restaurant closes at 2 pm. We were told to make a reservation next time and then we were shown the door. We were left wondering: Why would we ever go back here? Nevertheless, we found a great restaurant in Staufenberg where we received a warm welcome and were treated to a fantastic meal. I rarely write reviews, but in such a blatant case, I simply had to share my experience here.

We came here for lunch and were thoroughly satisfied. The food was delicious and imaginatively presented. We also appreciated that many of the main courses were served in smaller portions. The service left nothing to be desired, and the view is simply fantastic. Highly recommended!

Perfect food, perfect service, and a lovely outdoor seating area. Great value for money!

The restaurant was supposed to be open until 10pm, but it closed before 8pm...

Delicious pasta dishes, freshly cooked with good ingredients, just like an Italian mama would make.
