Portions are huge, really delicious

A rustic pub with solid, good food. Schnitzel day is served once a week. Public service that's on the ball and, ultimately, affordable. A good place to go if you're looking for a good pub.

The portions are generous. The home-style cooking is good value for money. The schnitzels, in particular, are highly recommended. This is an old inn with simple, rustic decor. If you have a hearty appetite and aren't too bothered about a fancy ambiance, this is the place for you. Parking is available.

The food tastes great and the portions are nice and large. The price is reasonable for the portions. The server was very friendly. We'll be back.

We had a delicious meal three evenings. But the highlight came today. Terrible! Sirloin steak and special fish platter. The medium wasn't quite right, but that didn't detract from the quality or taste. I'd happily eat here again. And once again, it was delicious.

We were here on a Wednesday, which is schnitzel day 🤤 I highly recommend the Munich schnitzel! The portions are generous, everything tastes delicious and freshly prepared, and the price is unbeatable! 🤩 We'll definitely be back for schnitzel!

We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The restaurant is quaint. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the wonderful beer garden because it was raining. We received prompt and friendly service; the owner has a special sense of humor. There was a weekly menu and various daily specials to choose from. Since we were sure we'd find what we were looking for there, we didn't even bother to look at the rest of the menu. The wait was reasonable. We were served generous portions, and everything tasted delicious! The price was reasonable! We'd be happy to come back if we're in the area.

Extremely poor food and the worst service I've ever had in my life. The owner is clearly interested in scaring away customers. We also found a fly in the salad. Absolutely filthy service and food!

We were in the adjoining room. Unfortunately, it wasn't that clean. A message will go to the manager. The food was good. A couple of the schnitzels were too thick. A little thinner would have been great. But the taste was good. The staff were super friendly and in a good mood. Unfortunately, we have to say that the adjoining room was quite dirty. Cobwebs galore, and the curtains had stains on them, and they weren't from yesterday. And the tablecloth was very dirty, and the other side was even worse, and the radiator didn't look any better. I have to say that personally... it makes you feel a bit disgusted while eating... I would have liked to have seen the kitchen. And I can't say anything about the other rooms. We didn't sit there. I only know our room. And the curtain paneling, or whatever it was, is coming down. I know... it's an old pub... Okay. Cozy too. But it should be clean. We'll be back. Thanks for the great staff. 🤣🤌🏻

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The tablecloth was very dirty, the salt and pepper shakers were completely greasy. Cobwebs everywhere, the radiator was very dirty, and something was running down it—not very appetizing, I must say. The food was okay, but nothing more. A shame. But the service was super nice, polite, and attentive...

Quaint, inexpensive restaurant with consistently tasty cuisine. Large Viennese style schnitzels that are enough for two meals. It is common practice to have aluminum foil for wrapping. Weather permitting, we also serve outside in the beer garden. Customer space at the restaurant. Insider tip! Don't tell anyone. ;-}

As a vegetarian you won't have a good time here. And before anyone says, don't go there: sometimes your meat-eating relatives simply force you to go to a place like this. The choice was between reiberdatschi and Käsespätzle. Always the same and very unimaginative. The cheese spaetzle was too salty. The salad is also very mediocre and boring. The service was nice and attentive, but unfortunately it doesn't help the experience at all. The back room is not very cozy and the walls have a lot of cobwebs. They really could have put more effort into painting the walls, but that's beside the point. In any case, I won't be coming back.

Food and service good to very good. But if you don't want to eat in the smoke of fries, you can't recommend this restaurant. It's a different story in beer garden weather. It's a great way to keep hungry mouths fed. Prices cheap to normal. Toilets were ok. Had concerns in shared apartment. the previous comments. They were probably unlucky!

Large portions at fair prices, but the quality suffers a little. But not so much that you could complain. Service tried very hard but a bit hectic. The place is getting old and you smell a bit like grease when you come out. But a home-style restaurant that you don't want to miss.

The food is good but you shouldn't have to go to the toilet. It's really not possible given the condition of the sanitary facilities. It makes you think when it looks like that... it's better to just order the food to be picked up there.

Am Freitag und Samstag gibt es immer eine Auswahl an Fischgerichten. An der Küche gibt es generell nichts zu meckern. Die Toiletten sind allerdings leider in einem grauenhaften Zustand und bedürfen dringend einer Sanierung. Auch die Tischdecken aus dem letzten Jahrhundert lösen sich so langsam in ihre Bestandteile auf ...

The service lady was very friendly and we were served quickly. However, the rest is unfortunately not true at all :( as soon as you enter the house there is a strong smell of cigarette smoke. At first we didn't want to be put off by that - or by the rather dreary ambience. Unfortunately, the toilets were also very dirty. A thorough cleaning would be necessary here Cleaning is urgently needed. I also had a severe stomach upset after eating, including vomiting :( please take urgent care of the hygiene. The restaurant has potential, but we will definitely not be coming back like this.

It's my first time here. I saw the turkey schnitzel, it's really delicious and a huge portion for the price😋 Hats off, you don't get that often in the Munich area anymore... The staff is friendly and attentive. So also a plus. And all I can say about the location is that I just like sitting in the beer garden, it's quiet and no one is shouting. So just great, I hope it will always be like this here. Then I'll always come when I'm there once a year for work.🍻👍🏻👍🏻

The food was simply brilliant and the portions were also very large, which is definitely recommended for the prices. Not every restaurant can offer such a good price-performance ratio as Schienhammer. The waiter was very friendly and personable. The people in the kitchen and at the counter were also in a good mood and smiling. The ambience wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but it was also something special when you eat in places like that.

Pretty good, totally feels and tastes authentic. We even went again later prior to departure for a steak. Nothing can go wrong. Enjoy it wether it’s beer or meals, they are excellent.

We were guests there recently. A real Bavarian country inn with a landlord who has a sense of humor. The portions of the pork schnitzel and the Bavarian Cordon Bleu (filled with Obatzda), each with French fries and salad, were huge and good. In summer you can also sit outside in the beer garden.

There are very cheap and tasty lunch menus here, I currently paid €10.

One of the best place to eat out the german food.

Everything was perfect here. Warm service, fast service, coziness, perfect steak with a colorful side salad. We traveled an extra 2 hours and it was worth it. Very cheaply priced. Definitely the insider tip in the south of Munich. Reservation not necessary.
