We ate there on Sunday evening after the Wuppertal dance tournament. It was simply fantastic. My utmost respect goes to the owners, who have been running this restaurant for four generations. And they've always maintained consistently high quality. Keep up the good work. The country needs restaurateurs like them.

We enjoyed a Bergisches Kaffeetafel (coffee table) for the first time. Everything was perfect. The waffles, the homemade bread, and the sausage were absolutely delicious. We also had super friendly service, who was always very attentive. If you're really hungry and want to try a Bergisches Kaffeetafel, this is the place for you.

A great place to grab a bite to eat, especially in sunny weather, with reasonable portions. The value for money is excellent. Children are also well catered for and have a lovely playground by the Wupper River. Huge respect goes to the service staff, who catered to all ages and clientele.

We ate there with our friends in the beer garden on three evenings. From the ambiance to the service to the quality of the food, everything was perfect. The menu left nothing to be desired, as did the drinks selection. The food was well chilled, and thanks to the attentive waitresses, our thirst was quenched at all times. It's a shame that such a restaurant is a rarity these days. We're already looking forward to next year. We'll be back! Dear owners, keep up the good work.

We were invited to a celebration there. The atmosphere was very nice, both inside and out. There was plenty of parking. The appetizer was excellent, and the meat and fish were very good. The side dishes, sauces, and dessert were all good. Very good wine, good service. We felt very comfortable. Highly recommended.

The Bergisches Kaffeetafel (Bergisch coffee table) at the Rüdenstein restaurant is highly recommended. Attentive service, authentic coffee from a Dröppelminna (a traditional German coffee machine), and easy reordering of individual items. An all-around successful afternoon in a wonderful atmosphere!

Beautifully situated on the Wupper River in the Rüden district. The menu offers traditional fare and more. Extremely busy on weekends and public holidays, partly because groups often come here and take advantage of the ample outdoor seating. But the staff give their all 😀

We ate inside both in the winter evenings and outside at coffee time in the wonderful summer weather. The service is good, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is really nice. The menu is not large and there may not be a large selection for vegetarians/vegans. There's Bergisch food here :) In any case, sitting outside in the summer is pure relaxation, in the countryside and looking at the Wupper.

We grabbed something from the kiosk and sat under the trees. Cake and waffle in a cup were delicious, coffee was ok. You have the choice of sitting on the lawn (benches, deck chairs, a few tables) with self-service or in the restaurant/beer garden with service

There is hardly a more beautiful place on earth. Schnitzel, Bergisch coffee table, anything you like. And the children are happy on the playground. Be sure to reserve!

The Rüdenstein restaurant is a really great, family-run restaurant on the Wupper. It is very busy there, especially on weekends, as it is on a popular hiking and cycling route along the Wupper. The traditional Bergisch coffee table available there is very sumptuous and extremely tasty and it's worth bringing Tupperware containers with you so you can pack up the leftovers. Bags are provided for the leftover bread from the coffee table to make it easier to take with you. On other occasions we took a break while riding there. The horses enjoyed the lush grass under the trees in a more secluded part of the outdoor area and we enjoyed drinks and snacks according to the season. The events such as “Currywurst meets evening wear” with a buffet with more than just currywurst and a party afterwards are also worth mentioning. An extraordinary opportunity to get the rarely worn items of clothing out of the closet. Finally, I would like to praise the PriSecco from the drinks menu. An excellent non-alcoholic sparkling wine/prosecco alternative for toasting for young and old.

Actually a very nice place. Food and drinks within acceptable range. But, since Corona, the owners have had a strange procedure for assigning tables. What was still comprehensible during Corona times is no longer possible today. Even at times when almost all tables are free, after a long, even very long, pointless waiting time, the guests are led by the hand by the staff to a table, which they can then take or leave again. Oh yes and then there is the issue of plastic coins... ....I'll spare myself and those reading this the details. The catering in terms of food and drinks is really ok, the handling and treatment of the guests is a joke.

Everything is just right here. The friendly and professional service is particularly noteworthy. The food arrived very quickly, despite being fully booked. I'd be happy to go back. Recommendation: Make sure you make a reservation.

Great restaurant with mountain charm and great food. It was very busy on a Sunday. Nothing works here without a reservation. It's a shame that we didn't have a Dröppelminna at the Bergisch coffee table, but only a standard coffee pot. Whatever was empty was refilled upon request. Would love to come back.

For me, the Rüdenstein restaurant is one of the TOP 3 if you want to eat "very well" in a nice atmosphere in the Bergisches Land. The furnishings, whether indoors or in the (child-friendly) garden, are beautiful. The service is always friendly, even when it is very busy. I think it's very good that we charge per table! The surrounding area invites you to take a walk along the Wupper. The restaurant is easily accessible for seniors.

We took a break here while hiking. It was full and we still received friendly service. The food tasted good and we didn't have to wait long despite the restaurant being full. Fair prices, recommended

Very good food. We are there every year for the Christmas party. In summer there is a BBQ evening every third Thursday. Clear recommendation from me.

We celebrated our son's baptism here. The organization in advance was very good, all of our guests enjoyed the food and we had very nice service. We have often felt very comfortable here and would love to come back. A restaurant that is unparalleled in the area.

Very nice restaurant in Bergisch to recommend

A nice place to visit - certainly also in summer. I wouldn't have expected the public charging station in the parking lot to be so far away from Solingen city center. Unfortunately, the price there is significantly overpriced (49ct/kWh as of November 10th, 2024), only in an emergency... In any case, there is no gas station directly on site... The only negative thing that was noticed in the restaurant was the noise in the main hall, even when not all the tables were occupied. The operators should perhaps think about noise protection here...

The ambience was priceless, the food, we had starters, homemade potato pancakes, salmon slices and various salads. The madness. Main course, veal ragout and or chicken and pork medallion, with croquettes, fried potatoes or rosemary potatoes, with almond broccoli and bacon beans, ratatouille. Everything is simply a culinary delight. Finally, delicious dessert. We would be happy to come back here to enjoy. Simply recommended.

Yesterday we (6 people and 1 small child) enjoyed the mountain coffee table with original Dröppelminna. We were warmly greeted at reception. The various ingredients were very appetizingly prepared and we were able to order more without any problems. The service was great, even though there were a lot of guests. Our youngest also thought the beautifully landscaped playground was great and didn't want to go home.

Waiting 3 minutes until the boss came to seat us, then a chip as an entry ticket to "my" garden, then no placement, but take a table in front, when we wanted to take a four-person table because our son is still coming, the note , that doesn't work. We were then caught and fed excellently in Haus Rüden. It was an experience of the past, somehow not very friendly.

We enjoyed the Bergische Kaffeetisch with five people - simply delicious (especially the rice pudding) and plentiful. The service was very attentive, we were repeatedly asked if we were missing anything. We sat outside, where personal wishes were even made possible without further ado and without any fuss, and an extra thank you for that! A tip: definitely make a reservation!

We were guests on Saturday lunchtime. Normally we are regular customers. But that day they just "slammed" our drinks on the table and after that we didn't see any more service, even though we had said beforehand that we also wanted to eat something. The money for the later drinks bill was accepted grumpily. That's it for now with the regular customers...

Insufficient organization when assigning tables. Unnecessary discussions with the people in charge. Our waitress was very friendly. Waffle and cake were good. Outdoor area and playground are nice. In total only 3 stars because we didn't feel welcome at the beginning. The impression is that there is no need to be friendly to guests who are queuing for a table.

We were there for the grill buffet. It was outstanding! The service could have been better. Since you got the food yourself anyway, it wasn't so bad. The grilled dishes and salads were a poem! Great location, beautiful garden

Today we went to the Bergische Kaffeetisch in Rüdendstein with 8 people, there were no rolls, there was counted bread in the bread basket, including 4! Slices of brown bread, after the sparse toppings and the bread had been consumed, were asked for! !! again counted served. Once and never again !!!

You can recommend Restaurant Rüdesheim. Food good, service good and ambience good. You are in good hands
