My visit was very disappointing overall. In my opinion, the food was of poor quality and didn't seem fresh. The restaurant appeared quite neglected: the floor felt sticky, several areas looked dirty, and even the decor didn't look clean. What also bothered me was that instead of accepting criticism or addressing the problems I described, the term "defamation" was quickly used as soon as negative feedback appeared. As a customer, however, I expect constructive criticism to be taken seriously and not immediately interpreted as a personal attack. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Extremely delicious food and very generous portions! You can tell that it's cooked with love. I can highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good German food. We'll definitely be back!

Even if your first instinct is to leave immediately, the wait is worth it! While it might not be the most comfortable setting, the delicious and plentiful food more than makes up for it! If you're feeling kind and compassionate, you're welcome to help the elderly couple (who have difficulty walking) – it lightens the mood and you'll experience genuine gratitude. We'd love to come back again 😊

A family-run atmosphere with a view of the Black Forest. A very nice older couple runs the place. I can highly recommend it.

After buying our motorhome, we were very hungry. We arrived and were a little hesitant at first because of the mixed reviews. When the food arrived, all of those concerns vanished. It was incredibly delicious. At the end, the owner even joined us for a little chat. Very pleasant and friendly. And his wife is also very sweet. We'll definitely be back!

So, what I can say here is that the food is always excellent and everything is always freshly prepared. If you like sitting outside and don't mind the farmyard or horse air, then the place is very comfortable and quiet. The owners are a bit older and not particularly good on their feet, so you have to pick up your drinks and food yourself at the counter, which is also indicated on a sign outside. Otherwise, you can't complain; we really enjoy going there for a quick bite. Thank you very much.

We placed our order while the lady behind the counter cursed, which was a bit disconcerting. The outdoor seating is really nice, though! The food was okay. Next time, though, I'd just order drinks there. Cash only.

Super friendly older couple. I immediately felt at home here. The owner first had a humorous chat with me and then went straight into the kitchen to prepare my schnitzel. It was a large, delicious portion (2 schnitzels), and everything was homemade, nothing frozen. I heard the owner pounding the schnitzels. 😀 This won't be the last time I'll be here. The access there is a bit tricky. The street is for residents only, so you have to drive in. There are plenty of parking spaces. Enjoy your meal.

At first, we were a bit skeptical about the Reiterstüble. What awaited us was a small, cozy outdoor seating area and a very well-prepared schnitzel. Excellent value for money, too. Thank you very much.

I went there with my partner because I was extremely hungry. The couple who ran the place must have changed a while ago, because the two we met were super friendly. We were a bit unsure on the way to the restaurant, as the signs on the streets indicated that you could only drive through with a drive-through permit. The outside area is self-service. The prices are really reasonable, and the portions are huge. We were able to take away the food we couldn't finish. We found it very pleasant to be able to sit next to the horse paddock both in the shade and in the sun. The owner also asked how we were and chatted with us for a bit. We'll definitely be back soon.

Super great food and scenery and perfect for people who love peace and quiet and horses. Dogs are no problem either. The innkeeper and his wife are warmly welcome

Everything is freshly prepared, so you should take some time with you. But it's worth it. Large portions, very tasty and reasonably priced. Absolutely recommended.

This place is an absolute GEM if you’re looking for authentic, delicious and affordable German cuisine in the area. I typically dont bother to leave reviews but given that the current rating and complaints people wrote almost prevented me from coming here, I felt inclined to take the time and urge anyone to definitely stop by to enjoy really great food and more than that, have a lil conversation with the owners- they are actually super lovely behind the German serious initial impression ;) Please note that the outdoor sitting is self service so you’ll have to pick up a menu from inside and get your food from the counter when it’s ready.

The food was very good and sufficient. Unfortunately, the host couple is very frail and at odds. Therefore a bit unfriendly and tortured, which depresses the mood.

During our stopover for 2 nights we discovered this quaint restaurant at a riding stable. Very good traditional cuisine, everything freshly prepared, tasty, lots of it and good prices. Didn't manage to empty the plate.😢 The picture with the extra fries shows the normal portion.😂 the picture with the bread shows the small portion. Can only be recommended.

Doesn't satisfy any requirement, no matter how small, extremely unfriendly, totally overwhelmed host couple, for whom hospitality and hygiene are obviously a foreign word. Fraudulent labeling of beverages is a systematic practice.

We ate delicious schnitzel and croquettes with mushroom sauce and Maultaschen with potato salad here. The host couple was very friendly. You can look into the riding arena through a large window. Great area for walking. Thank you for letting us stay here with the motorhome overnight
