For me, a good German restaurant.

We were a group of twelve for dinner at the Reiterstube on Monday. The service was very good, friendly, and attentive. As a complimentary appetizer, we were served grilled pepperoni in two different styles. The Riesling spritzer was delicious, as were the other drinks. There was nothing to complain about with the food. The price-performance ratio was excellent. We'd gladly come again.

After a long time, I was craving fish again, and Friday is fish day, after all. What was served was very disappointing. It only cost €9.90, but it wasn't even worth €5. The portion was tiny, and the fish was burnt. The heater in the pavilion was broken, and the glass was dirty. Never again!

A very charming and interesting little place, especially for horse lovers. The staff and owner were very friendly, and the food was excellent value for money. We will definitely be back.

It's been almost 9 years since I was there twice a week during my 8-week stay at the rehabilitation center. They always had incredibly good schnitzel with fries 🍟, the likes of which are still unmatched today. I've never eaten better. I should go to rehab just for that 😅

Many people praise the value for money, which probably refers to the price. However, they should increase the price of the schnitzel by €2, but offer a meat/schnitzel that's a bit thicker than just two beer mats thick. The salad was OK. The noise level was loud. With larger groups, the kitchen is overwhelmed.

Not a complete disaster in any single respect, but unfortunately not really great in any respect either. Uncomfortable and noisy dining room, service leaves the appetizer plates on the table until the entire meal is over, and you don't get new drinks either. Some of the food was delicious (starter: grilled pepperoni was great) and some of it was not very lovingly prepared (paprika schnitzel), and it seemed to be just warmed-up instant sauce.

The Reiterstübchen is a bit hidden away, which is why I only "stumbled" upon it today. And I have to say, it's been a long time since I've had such a good meal in a restaurant, and at such reasonable prices. There were two of us with main courses and drinks, and it came to less than €40. The service was also very friendly and open. Therefore, I can highly recommend the Reiterstübchen, and it certainly won't be the last time I visit.

At the Reiterstübchen (Equestrian Stübchen), you can enjoy good, home-style food at reasonable prices. The restaurant has a spacious dining room (with the option to watch horses while they're circling the arena), a smoking area in the winter garden, and outdoor seating, so there's plenty of space. It offers a rustic, timeless inn atmosphere without the rancidity that's quite rare these days. Service is first-class; even four-legged friends are welcome and can get a drink, and you usually don't have to wait long for your food. I particularly remember the turkey strips, lumberjack steaks, and various pork schnitzels. The daily specials change, but Tuesday is schnitzel day, when you can get a full meal for a little more than the price of a doner kebab. I highly recommend this place.

We spontaneously went there for dinner on a Friday evening, and it was truly one of the most mediocre experiences we've ever had—neither particularly good nor particularly bad. The quality matches the prices, meaning you get simple, rustic dishes for a reasonable price. However, the schnitzel and the sauces in particular tasted very mass-produced, and the side salads were somewhat uninspired and dressed with (presumably) bottled dressing. We therefore wouldn't go back.

I was there again today with my husband and friends. I have to say the food was absolutely amazing, as always. And the staff, especially Marlen, were super friendly and personable. We laughed a lot. We always enjoy coming back every four weeks.

We had our registry office wedding reception in the Reiterstübchen. We are absolutely thrilled with how great the buffet and everything else was. There was absolutely no lack of attention and friendliness here. We can recommend the Reiterstübchen both as a great event location and as a cozy restaurant to visit. Such absolutely fantastic support during the planning and the loving manner of the boss and the whole team made it incredibly great for us. We had a fantastic buffet that was superbly executed and our guests were thrilled. There were never any empty glasses and the service here was also a rarity. Thanks to the Reiterstübchen team, we had an incredibly wonderful day. Thank you very much.

Thank you for this great stay. We were members of the riding and driving club 40 years ago. The stables and the hall, whose roof we had to help finance at the time, have unfortunately become very disadvantageous. The only bright spot was the catering. We came from Berlin and Cologne and immediately felt at home. We'll be back 👍👍👍

Visited the Reiterstübchen with a small dog on February 16, 2025. We were then directed to the next room (smokers) because of the dog, even though only two tables were occupied. There were two people sitting in the room (winter garden), wearing thick clothes and wearing hats because it was so cold. We then left the location immediately. Animal friendly no Hospitable no CANNOT BE RECOMMENDED

The daily meal is always good here. What is unfortunately not offered is 1. Card payment 2. A meal plan on the internet. Unfortunately, the boss is completely unreasonable. EDIT: What's going on in the riding room? ? Go there often, but the main thing is to eat fish on Fridays. But also during the week when there is something I like. In the past, people made their own potato salad. Lately, however, it has come out of the “bucket” and tastes accordingly. Nothing changes if a few small cubes of bacon are mixed in. There were 3 people there today and we agreed that we wanted to order fried potatoes with the fish instead of potato salad from the bucket. The fact that fried potatoes cost €1 more should be communicated BEFORE and not just upon request. The food was good. The friendly waitress said she would sort it out. Then the “boss” came. Our argument was that if you order something extra and it costs more, this should be communicated BEFORE. The friendly employee didn’t do that, but she hadn’t been busy for long. No problem. The “boss” was very condescending. The potato salad would be homemade and if we don't like it, we should go somewhere where the potato salad tastes better. My companions are experienced housewives who can easily tell whether a potato salad is homemade. This is how you win customers. Thanks

On January 5, 2025, we were in the Reiterstübchen with 45 people from the Palatinate Forest Association local group Oggersheim after our short hike and held our annual hiker honor. I discussed everything with the very nice boss in advance and our wishes were addressed without any problems. The food was really very good. All participants were very satisfied with the quality of the food. You really can't fault it. That's why we have reserved the restaurant for two more events from our local group. I cannot understand the sometimes subterranean and insulting reviews.

I enjoyed it, the staff was very nice and it was comfortable for me too.

Dogs are not welcome...but you can sit and eat at the smokehouse with your dog as a non-smoker...Thanks, we don't need it!

The ambience corresponds to that of a classic equestrian hall. The staff tries very hard and is very, very friendly. The food is just a matter of taste. Personally, I didn't like it that much...fresh produce is almost non-existent, but that's understandable given the low price. You don't expect anything more. However, you could at least make the sauce yourself. Conclusion: If you want to fill up cheaply and have good company, this is a great place for you :-)

I haven't eaten so badly in a very long time. I had pork medallions that were roast pork but no loin. In the sauce a bowl of spaetzle right in the sauce was disgusting. My friend had a sausage that was still raw on the inside. The ice cubes were dirty. The health department should go there

I had cordon blue with fries... The cordon bleu was first class, although it was probably fried. First class, the fries and the extra sauce we ordered were also great. The service was great... We've never had our drinks so quickly... Ambience. The riding room is probably a bit old, but corresponds to a riding room.. I like to close both eyes... Price performance ratio great...👍 Gladly again..

Unfortunately I can only give 1 star, the Reiterstübchen advertises itself as being disabled friendly. Unfortunately, dogs, which many disabled people rely on, are prohibited there. Therefore, unfortunately I can only advise against this restaurant. There are some in Oggersheim that are really handicapped accessible and service dogs are also welcome.

So either we were in the wrong restaurant or the chef was off work. We went to the Reiterstübchen because of the good reviews and left disappointed. The rump steak was instead of medium rare and the medallions were tough and dry. The fries are also very interesting :-) .

This was my second time in this restaurant. Unfortunately I have to say that I don't like it that much. You have to wait a long time for service. The food is OK.
