A highly recommended restaurant! Cozy atmosphere, fast service, delicious food And good value for money. The Kaiserschmarrn was fantastic! Definitely try it. Parking nearby, and sometimes free on weekends.

The three of us enjoyed a wonderful dinner with a lovely, freshly tapped Gustl beer before a concert, having made a reservation. A very cozy restaurant in the heart of Regensburg. Locals sit at the regulars' table, children and dogs are welcome, and the concise menu leaves nothing to be desired. It was simply (on a Monday!) a very good start to an unforgettable evening.

Quaint restaurant, very good food and very attentive staff.

I chose this restaurant specifically for my wife's birthday without knowing what to expect. We weren't disappointed. Typical Bavarian style, the food was excellent, and the service was friendly and fast! Since we come from the Ruhr area, we can highly recommend this restaurant.

Although tables were free, there was no space.

The only positive aspect of our visit was the service, which was genuinely friendly. Unfortunately, the food was inedible and definitely not recommended! The atmosphere was also appalling. Thick layers of dust and dirt were everywhere… not to mention the filthy restrooms.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Quetschen. We ate and drank well, and Chrissi was a particularly pleasant waitress. Both we and she regretted our "forced" departure.

We enjoyed good German cuisine at a fair price in the brewery restaurant. The large veal wiener schnitzel with fried potatoes is highly recommended!

A very quaint brewery restaurant with excellent service. We felt very comfortable!

I had a lucky night at this quaint pub. The atmosphere was typically Bavarian, the service was prompt, and my wheat beer was excellent. Opinions about the food were mixed. I was very pleased with the spinach dumplings and can highly recommend them. My friends weren't particularly impressed with the meat dishes – the suckling pig was bland and lacked seasoning. However, everyone loved the apple rings for dessert! So, "Quetschn" is definitely worth a visit!

Great food and Augustiner beer in a rustic atmosphere. A definite recommendation for anyone looking for Bavarian food and good beer with great service. The Regensburg sausage platter was my favorite.

Very good Bavarian cuisine. I highly recommend it. The goulash at the next table also looked very appealing. We even got an extra dumpling upon request.

A truly wonderful restaurant, with a quaint decor and superbly delicious food. The Regensburg "Würstlplatte" (sausage platter) is a delight and very generously loaded. I had the Schwabenteller (Swabian plate), which was simply fantastic, as was the Augustiner Dunkel (dark beer). Highly recommended.

The three of us ate in the beer garden, and everything in this quaintly decorated restaurant just fits together perfectly. I highly recommend it. Our waiter, Fabi, treated us to a fun evening. We went to the Quetschn on Sunday after making an appointment. A table had been reserved for 11:15 a.m. The restaurant opens at 11:00 a.m. A man with headphones was just putting a menu sign up at the entrance (11:20 a.m.), so he couldn't hear me asking where we were sitting. He came to our seats with menus and placed them on the table without a word. No "Hello," no "Can I get you something to drink?" After a while, he came back to ask what we wanted and to take our order. I've never experienced such rude behavior as a host or server. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't outstanding either.

I know the Quetschn from my parents, who actually quite like going there. My partner and I would have loved to go inside today to enjoy the rustic atmosphere while eating and drinking. Unfortunately, we couldn't carry out our plan because "only outside today" (for reasons unknown to us), so we left.

The younger server was truly top-notch; you don't see such a nice, friendly person who cares about guests very often here in southern Baden. We also enjoyed the food (breaded schnitzel with a delicious thin coating and spaetzle/knöpfle with gravy, as well as a sausage platter with sauerkraut).

A basic but substantial restaurant at a fair price. I had a good experience...except for the vending machines in the bathroom where you shouldn't put money because they systematically steal it!

The sauce on the pepper loin was sour, but the waiter replaced it, but unfortunately, the meat was also inedible! The meat tasted like pork! Unfortunately, not recommended.

The spoofak was unfortunately a bit tasteless and didn't taste as good as it looked. My first beer also tasted a bit stale. The pork chop wasn't very edible, so apart from the schnitzel, this experience wasn't very good. The prices are okay, though.

Highly recommended, very nice, cozy Bavarian guesthouse in a very central location in RGB between the House of Bavarian History on the Danube side and the Historical Museum facing the city center on the other side, short walk (5-10 minutes) to the cathedral and shopping, very friendly service, very good food.

Ein echter Geheimtipp abseits des Trubels von Regensburg: wir saßen im ruhigen Außenbereich, aber selbst bei schlechtem Wetter gibt’s auch drinnen genug Plätze. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das überaus freundliche Personal, das mit herzlicher Art und aufmerksamen Service überzeugt. Die Speisekarte bietet eine gute Auswahl regionaler und saisonaler Gerichte. I've rarely seen a service employee who puts so much heart and soul into their work. Everything just fits perfectly in this quaintly decorated restaurant, and I can truly recommend it. The schnitzel was good. The sauce was very good. The fried potatoes were dry and sometimes undercooked. It was quite noisy outside on the street. The atmosphere was pleasant.

So, normal, home-style food in Regensburg. Okay on the outside, horrible on the inside... The service only gets three stars because the waiter told us that if we sat down here, it would be stressful for him, and he'd have to work 10 hours because of us... unbelievable... and we understand a lot. The waitress, however, was super friendly and accommodating, and very attentive. The food was normal... currywurst, cordon bleu, hence 3 stars. We'll go somewhere else next time, though.

A very good Bavarian restaurant with traditional food and a smaller Menu which I believe is one of the many reasons for the quality of food in Quetschn. I've eaten here a few times now and I don't remember the food being anything other than excellent. You will be greeted by very friendly service who are efficient at their jobs and make you feel welcome. The prices are adequate and for most dishes you will get your money's worth. The restaurant itself is situated in a calm-ish area. I would not expect it to be quiet because of traffic - but surprisingly enough it's not loud enough to disturb you. All in all, I would place Quetschn at my personal Top 5 of restaurants to visit in Regensburg, as a local or a tourist, high reccomendation.

In my opinion, it's a quaint, somewhat dated inn. The food, in my opinion, is okay, but nothing special. In my opinion, bland schnitzel can be better prepared at home with a bit of a sense of refinement.

The restaurant is incredibly quaint, especially nice for sitting outside in the summer. The service is incredibly friendly, especially the young waiter in blue... :))) They were simply quick and funny... always willing to listen and ready to help! The food is varied, plentiful, and really good quality at a really good price. Try the "Obstler" (fruit liqueur), which is truly fantastic... we'd love to go back when we're in Regensburg!

Original, cozy...We ate the roast platter and roast suckling pig, delicious!

We were here for dinner in the afternoon. The service staff was nice and the burger and roast suckling pig we ordered were quickly at the table. It tasted ok. Unfortunately the patty on the burger was completely cooked through, but all in all it was okay. The roast suckling pig was also ok. The toilets are upstairs and are quite old. The price is rather cheap compared to other pubs in the city center. You can do it.

The restaurant is rustically furnished. Toilet is on the upper floor. Accessible via stairs. Food was very tasty and came quickly. In my opinion, the waiters could have been friendlier. My personal opinion and perception.

To be honest, I wouldn't go there to eat again. We were seated in a corner in a rather unfriendly manner by the landlord and we were not allowed to move to another table. We had to wait longer for the food to arrive and unfortunately the dishes were pretty carelessly prepared, hence no photos. It's more of a pub.

I cannot share the sometimes euphoric recessions. The restaurant is not as great as it is sometimes described. In my opinion it would need a renovation again. Not a nice restaurant to feel good about. The toilets smell clearly strong. The paper for cleaning the hands was missing. In my opinion, the food in the afternoon is not so exciting. We didn't like it.

We went to the restaurant after a tip. On the first day we just had a drink at lunch and reserved a table for the evening. The food, staff and ambience convinced us that we went there again the next day for lunch without a reservation. If you come to Regensburg you definitely have to go there.

It was ok, you can do it. Had apple cake with ice cream, a bit expensive for the portion and espresso. Ambience a bit strange, but a matter of taste, I found it cramped. Hence perhaps the name 😅. Sanitary facility ok. Service good, friendly service, people often ask if everything is ok.

By chance we ended up in the restaurant and it was a very nice evening. The food was great, the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was really cozy. We were allowed to sit down even though we hadn't pre-ordered. The conversations at the regulars' table were very friendly and we had a lot of laughs. We would be happy to come back. Extremely small portions, e.g. shredded chicken: We had the impression that it was more like soup meat and there wasn't enough left. Instead of feedback, a mini portion came. But what was really disgusting was the condition of the toilets. That would be a case for the trade inspectorate, they are that disgusting. You're also sitting on a very noisy street.

The bread of the hamburger was not so good, rest of dishes were ok.

Unfortunately no recommendation. On a Sunday at 4:30 p.m. we weren't allowed to order two cappuccinos. We needed the seats for dinner. The whole thing wasn't explained in a particularly friendly way, rather grumpily. Of course they left and won't be coming back. My reservation for October 8th I canceled with seven people for dinner.
