I just stopped in for a beer and a solyanka. We met, and I usually only drive past here inconspicuously, but it's a cozy little gem in the city and, in my opinion, absolutely recommended.

Wonderful days at Moritzburg Mittweida – highly recommended! We spontaneously spent three nights at Moritzburg in Mittweida – our dog was with us – and were absolutely thrilled. The booking process was extremely straightforward and quick, and even our last-minute decision to extend our stay for one night was handled flexibly and warmly by the hosts. Our room was very bright, pleasantly furnished, and exceptionally clean – including a balcony overlooking the greenery. The spacious bathroom with tub/shower, which is normally shared with the neighboring room, was particularly pleasant. Thanks to the hosts' thoughtful organization, this was a great solution – and since the other room was unoccupied during our stay, we had the bathroom all to ourselves – very comfortable! We also highly recommend the breakfast: For a small surcharge, a lovingly set table awaited us every morning with everything your heart could desire – fresh, delicious, and with great attention to detail. The location of Moritzburg is ideal: quiet and green, yet just a few minutes' walk from the market square. The garden area is particularly charming—cozy, inviting, and, as they would say in Denmark, truly hyggelig. Our dog also felt very comfortable here. The hosts themselves are extremely friendly, attentive, and hospitable—we felt welcome from the very first moment. The food was also delicious. We would like to thank you very much for the wonderful time and hope to see you again soon!

Long wait at a busy table, not very tasty food, I don't recommend it.

The Moritzburg restaurant is a cozy place to stop. It's quietly located and serves delicious food. The owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating. I invited my family for my birthday and even received a bouquet of flowers. Highly recommended 👍🫠

We were there for dinner. What can I say? The food consisted mostly of convenience foods. That's not necessarily bad, but it's also nothing special. Not what we would have liked. For the main courses, you could put together your own plate at the "salad bar." It was just a shame when 50% of the containers were empty. The staff should see that and react promptly. The prices are reasonable, though. There's limited parking nearby.

Stayed there last year because my regular hotels were full. Once and never again. Had to wait outside for almost 2 hours because no one was in the hotel. Arrival had been specifically arranged for an evening time. Then I got a room without a bathroom. Then just stupid comments about how you can't expect something like that for that price. The TV is smaller than a tablet. The hotel itself is very sloppy and showing its age. The atmosphere isn't conducive to dining either.

The salad buffet was great, but the food wasn't that great. The selection on the menu was very unusual; I couldn't really find anything I liked. I opted for the burger. The bun was hard and bone-dry, and the fries were hard and unseasoned. Because of a class reunion, it was incredibly loud. The price/performance ratio here isn't good at all.

The food was good. The staff was friendly. The RV parking space in front of the restaurant is a standard parking space for eight cars. Very tight.

We were there in a group and unfortunately we were not welcome. 3 hours waiting for the food order. Regular guests who arrived about 2 hours after us have already eaten. Portions cold but suitable for seniors. Overwhelm was omnipresent. And please don't hang jackets over chairs, the boss will say something unfriendly. When you go out, the door is slammed in your face and then your eyes are rolled when you want to go out too. You shouldn't treat your guests like that.

UNDERGROUND The behavior of the owners is a no-go - I have never experienced anything so unfriendly - they think they are better and we are stupid. Explained 30 times how to turn a key... awesome... We booked a room for 3 nights with OWN toilet and shower - we clarified this in advance with a gentleman on the phone, as this is extremely important to me. We got a room under the attic WITHOUT our own bathroom. This was on the same floor and you had to go through a cold, dirty hallway - we were lucky that the room next to us wasn't occupied. It was extremely cold in our room because the heating is switched off after 10 p.m. and the heating in the room is locked! When asked about it the next morning, all I got was a curt "The days of 24 degree rooms are over." I don't need 24 degrees but in a guesthouse where I pay I expect that I can decide for myself and don't have 17 degrees! The next morning wasn't any better, breakfast consisted of 2 baked rolls and 2 slices of sausage and cheese (the cheapest of the cheapest) you couldn't eat. After breakfast we went back to the room and I booked a real hotel where we were warmly welcomed. So after 1 night we packed our things and checked out. When we checked out there were just stupid sayings - Does that mean you won't come back? RIGHT - never again. He held the door open for us as we went out and said another stupid thing about my dog. All in all worth ZERO money, even as a gift. I would also give minus stars if that were possible.

When the staff walks through the dining room snorting with a cloth handkerchief... If it is forbidden to hang your CARDJACKET on the chair (reason: THAT and sweat! the wood of the chairs breaks)... If the brawn consists of 80% jelly (even if the bill was reduced afterwards)... If you weren't pointed out that there was a salad buffet... ...you just don't want to go there anymore.

I stayed here for the block weeks as part of my studies. Everything is nice and clean, the breakfast is great. Price-performance ratio unbeatable.

We came here for lunch without a reservation. We were greeted warmly and given a comfortable place. The waitress was very attentive and took good care of us. The food was extremely good. There is good home cooking. I chose the cod fillet with spaetzle. ~17 euros (just under 12 euros at a special price on Friday) is a very fair price. There was also a delicious salad from the salad bar. The restaurant is a bit out of the way but definitely worth a visit. Thank you.

Very kindly meant 4 stars. I had the advertised duck breast. Friendly quick service. The decor somehow stuck in the 80s for me. My starter the solyanka was good and hot. The duck breast was a bit too cold for me and the sauce was too thick for me. The dish tasted delicious. Red cabbage with a bit of bite. I like it. I found the duck breast a bit too expensive for over 20 euros. The other dishes on the menu are regional average. Update from December 27th, 2024: Had dinner here again today. As a little tip for the kitchen. Please season the side salads on the plates with dressing. Salad without dressing simply tastes like rabbit food. And what I also noticed is that some dishes consist of frozen products. I find a Rösti with salmon for 18 euros from convenience products a bit expensive. My beef tongue was good, but here too I had the hollandaise from the tube. I also assume that my daughter's carp was a frozen product. I realize that not everything can always be fresh. But Rösti and Hollandaise can be made fresh without much effort.

I've slept and eaten there a few times now. First of all, the food: It always tastes good (also consistent quality), and the price is appropriate for an inn. More vegan (and vegetarian) variations would be nice. But the fact that there are any at all is great. Service is also good - it's always cleared away quickly and you're always asked if you want anything else. Ambience is just a matter of taste, but it's what you expect from the outside (rustic). Overnight stays: Short - I'm satisfied. Longer - you get what you pay for - this means that if you pay less than 50 euros, then you get a small guesthouse room with old furnishings and a toilet/shower in the hallway. That doesn't bother me because that's what makes the difference between an (expensive) hotel and a guesthouse. But it can sometimes be problematic if you sleep in the annex, where there is only one bathroom with the sink IN that bathroom - and not in the rooms - and someone gets ready exactly when you wanted them to (there is in the main building There is a sink in the room so that you can put on make-up, brush your teeth, wash your face, etc.). So if you're in the annex and someone is in the bathroom, you just have to wait and you might be late. But it only happened to me once in the many overnight stays. If that stresses you out a lot, you just have to talk to the people next door, maybe. The furnishings are practical, but of an old style. The photos on the homepage are a bit misleading, as you can almost only see the apartments there. If you can't or don't want to pay for an apartment, you shouldn't be disappointed here, but just expect a small guesthouse room. But you have everything you need. The rooms are always clean, always fresh towels that are professionally cleaned outside. (I always see the delivery at breakfast) You always get a small bag of shower gel and a small biscuit on your pillow. The bed is made and the room is tidied up every day. I didn't know that the first time and I was scared. :D Usually the single room is fully booked, so you have to pay a surcharge (as is usual) and sleep alone in a double room. But even then the price is completely OK, I think. Breakfast is also completely okay for the price and they also easily adapt to vegan diets, which is always a drama. So if you're not too spoiled and used to guesthouses, you can sleep well here. From the outside, the building is really picturesque and very lovingly designed with flowers and decor.

For me, this visit to the restaurant was associated with memories. 65 years ago this was our dance hall at the weekend. It's wonderful that this restaurant still exists and that it is run in a professional, friendly and accommodating manner. A big thank you to the operators.

We like to regularly use the overnight accommodations in the restaurant/pension Moritzburg in Mittweida when we visit our family. The simple rooms with country house charm are clean and comfortably furnished. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The friendly staff are happy to accommodate our wishes and spoil us with home-style cuisine. We wish the team continued good business, friendly guests and are already looking forward to December 2024 - our next visit.

We have come here often and are thrilled by the good German cuisine. Our favorite is the beef roulade with red cabbage and dumplings. You will also be served very quickly, regardless of whether it is full! Therefore: Always happy again!

Was eating here about 4 weeks ago, the service was very nice. The ambience was ok, but everything is very narrow, so I was very annoyed when other guests walked past because you always had to slide your chair to pass them by could. Price/performance was ok for the standard.

ATTENTION RIP-OFF and poor hygiene! I absolutely cannot understand the good reviews here! I booked a room with a toilet and shower - I got a room with a sink. Toilet and shower in the hallway. Not only did the owner explain to me three times how a door works (to a woman), he doesn't care that he's ripping people off. On the phone we asked whether the room had a bathroom with a toilet and shower and the answer was yes. The situation on site was different. When asked about it, I was told that it would have been much more expensive and that I had fun finding another room nearby since Mittweida didn't have any left (that was true since it was the week of the first semester). The restaurant and the rooms were so old that it was worse than a youth hostel. The room smelled of old frying fat and the carpet was dirty and there was mold behind the door. The shared toilet doesn't have a sink and the shower is small. The area cannot be locked and is not separated for women and men, so you are “allowed” to shower at any time with someone who uses the toilet. If you decide to have breakfast, you get two baked rolls with dried cheese and already gray packets of jam. Coffee was ok. I can't say anything about the restaurant food because I didn't eat there. All of this information cannot be found on the website. Because the hygiene was so substandard, I left the establishment after one night. The owner then just said “And bye!”. I wouldn't recommend anyone, really anyone, to stay here. Hidden costs and outdated accommodation. It's not worth the money and nerves. By the way, you probably have to pay EXTRA to use the kitchen in the holiday apartment! The owner obviously takes advantage of the fact that there are unsuspecting "firsties" here twice a year.

The service is good and the waitress is friendly. You are constantly asked whether you would like to drink something else or need anything else. The ambience is a bit old, but well maintained. Unfortunately, the food is not good. We were recently sitting at a table with several people and heard that the meat was too dry and the sauce was too salty. Using the horseradish sauce as an example, the words “tasteless” and “paste” were mentioned. Dear Moritzburg team: What you gain in service, you lose in the quality of your food. Offer fewer, freshly prepared dishes with fresh ingredients and avoid frozen or warmed food. Save on ready-made sauces and convenience.

Everything was just right in this inn. Got a table for 10 in the beautiful, well-kept beer garden at short notice on Friday evening. You sit completely in the green. I can only describe the service as first class. Fast, attentive and super friendly. The waiting times were very short. The food tasted excellent. Very clear recommendation.

An experience... If you get stuck in a traffic jam when you arrive and then call to say that you're arriving late, you'll get a very rude answer on the phone and then be informed that you'll have to pay an extra €12.50 for every ½ hour started should - waiting fee after 10 p.m. Without sales tax, of course. Rarely have I been treated so rudely on the phone. The room has nothing in common with the pictures on the homepage. Old-fashioned, small and cluttered. No shutters, lantern in front of the window. No shower, no toilet in the room. ..Both were available across the hall... one for everyone or something. The shower was renovated, the toilet was probably from the 70s, and the previous user hadn't left it clean either. At least: A sink in the room, plus: a small bag of shampoo, no soap. I personally don't need a television, but if you value it, you can look forward to a full 15". The charm of the room I'm staying in is below a youth hostel. The images are taken in wide angle. I can't comment on the food as I didn't eat there. The guest room was friendly, the breakfast was ok.

Wir waren zu viert zum Mittagessen in der Moritzburg. Das Wetter war gut und wir konnten im tollen Außenbereich essen. Die Bedienung war anfangs etwas mürrisch bzw. hat ihren eigenen Humor mit dem man zurechtkommen muss. Die Speisekarte ist gut sortiert und auch als Vegetarier hat man eine Auswahl. Zu jedem Hauptgericht gibt es einen Salatteller, den man sich selbst am Buffet zusammenstellen kann. Die Gerichte waren allesamt gut. Es ist sicher noch Luft nach oben, aber das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Und somit durchaus empfehlenswert.

Wir hatten eine Geburtstagsnachfeier und waren rundum begeistert. Bedienung war sehr nett. Essen und Trinken waren auch sehr gut. Außer dem Kinderessen was zuviel Salz im Püree hatte waren alle begeistert. Macht weiter so. Bis bald.

Definitely not for vegetarians or anyone who expects more from a restaurant than what they can prepare at home with minimal effort. The Pilzallerlei is a frozen dish on which sweet and sour sauce has been carelessly drizzled. Unfortunately, it wasn't even warmed up well, which is why the stabilizers in the dish stop working and the spaetzle and the mushroom sauce turn into a homogeneous mass. The salad buffet, on the other hand, was delicious and filled you up, unfortunately you can't expect more than from the Metro barrel here either. Meat eaters are catered for with low demands, chicken wings, schnitzel etc. as well as the side dishes (fries/potato wedges) are, as feared, also from the frost and unfortunately not fully warmed up given the restaurant's high capacity. The potato wedges even hung together in lumps. The waiter who served us was very nice and accommodating, but the owner of the restaurant has his own manners policy and helps himself to the guests' jackets and hangs them on random hooks in the restaurant. There are ready-made cocktails from the bottle for every cocktail lover. If anyone is concerned about finding rather unpleasant ingredients in them, they can simply find out more on the website of the cocktail manufacturer/supplier, which is on the cocktail menu (which is also the manufacturer's advertising material). ). At least no one had diarrhea the next day so they were hungry!

A big plus is the small salad bar and the loving decoration of the food, but unfortunately everything is ready-made or frozen food.

Cozy, home-style restaurant with good cuisine. Fair prices. Can also accommodate groups of more than 50 people. A little outside of the town center, but easy to reach. Ample parking nearby. There is a lovely outdoor terrace for the summer.

A really great restaurant with delicious food at fair prices. There really is everything your heart desires here and there is definitely something to suit every taste. You can sit outside in the summer and sit comfortably inside in the winter, and the staff is always super friendly and absolutely great. Everything is always absolutely super clean, and you definitely feel very welcome and in good hands here. I can really only recommend it and I always enjoy coming here whenever I'm in the area.

Die Bedienung war flott und sehr nett. Ich fand die Portion der vegetarischen Spätzle mit Pilzen etwas klein zumal der Preis gleich den von Fleischgerichten war. Kam eher einer Vorspeise nah. Hat allerdings gut geschmeckt.

Herrliche Gaststätte mit großem, schattig gelegenem Biergarten. Bedienung war super. Einige Mahlzeiten waren uns etwas scharf gewürzt aber wir kommen gern noch einmal wieder.

Kann ich nur empfehlen. Es war sehr schön.

Dass essen ist soweit ok ich würde nur unter allen Umständen vom Räucherlachs mit Meerrettich abraten… es ist viel zu viel Meerrettich… der greift dir durch den Nacken dass Gehirn. Die Bedienung war soweit freundlich also keine Beschwerde da. Dass Ambiente ist ok etwas dunkel. Aber etwas positives auch die Salatbar war wirklich gut.

Die Wirtsleute waren sehr nett und freundlich. Das Essen war normal gut bürgerlich. Meine schlechte Bewertung bezieht sich auf die 10 angebotenen Stellplätze für Wohnmobile. Es gibt nur einen Parkplatz und der wurde von Restaurantgästen voll belegt. Ausserdem ist der Platz so beengt, dass Wohnmobile die hinteren Plätze nicht belegen können. Sehr leckeres Essen und sehr nettes Personal

Auf dem Weg in einen Kurzurlaub hatte ich diese Gaststätte für eine Mittagspause mit Essen ausgeguckt. Die Wahl war so gut, dass wir bei der Rückreise ebenfalls dort gespeist hatten. Insgesamt hatten alle vier Gerichte sehr gut geschmeckt und die Zutaten vom Salatbüffet waren frisch und schmackhaft. Auch das "Drumherum" hat gestimmt: freundliche Bedienung und schön gedeckte Tische. Kann ich wärmstens empfehlen.

Preis Leistung ist ganz okay.Salatbar sehr gut,Hauptessen lieblos angerichtet.Störend war das permanente herab fallen der Lindenblüten.

Preis-Leistung stimmt. Keine riesige Karte aber für jeden was dabei und auch eine Saisonkarte. Am Wochenende sollte man reservieren, vor allem Abends. Gerne wieder.

Schade, unser alter Vater hatte sich so auf frischen Spargel gefreut. Seniorenportion für 17€ , 4 hauchdünne fast kalte und innen graue Zungenscheiben und 4 kleine fingerdünne ,kalte Spargelstange , 3 Kroketten auf einem eiskalten Teller ,war für uns sehr enttäuschend. Die nachgereichte Portion Spargel war dann wenigstens heiß auf dem wieder eiskalten Teller. Es war sehr entäuchend für alle.

Waren gestern zum Geburtstagsessen hier und waren wieder einmal vom außergewöhnlich guten Essen (wir hatten Lammkarree und Rumpsteak)begeistert. Die Nachspeisen waren ebenfalls perfekt. Mehr als perfekt finde ich den Service durch das Personal...man fühlt sich von Sara, Babette (Chefin) und einem Superkoch bestens umsorgt und versorgt. Weiter so, ihr Lieben 🤩
