Gaststätte Meider-Hof in Hilden

We were here for dinner today. There was a mixed tapas platter as a starter and then paella pescado. We left out dessert because the paella for two would easily have been enough for three people. The food was consistently fresh and tasty and exactly like I ate it in Spain. The best paella in the area. The restaurant itself is quite small but totally domestic and in the typical Spanish style. It is not a posh restaurant but is reminiscent of the local bourgeois restaurants in Barcelona. We felt totally comfortable there. The service is very friendly and works with the typical Spanish calmness. Of course you can also use your Spanish language skills here 😁 We experienced a little piece of Spain in Hilden in this cozy restaurant. A clear recommendation for this insider tip.

The highlight was the sauce from Aldi that we still had in the fridge! On the positive side, ordering was quick. The sauces we ordered were completely wrong. The food wasn't really warm, and the burgers... well, there was no sauce on mine.
